Central to many access points, including the T Green C line, Fenway ballpark (easy 1.5 mile walk), Isabella Stewart Gardner museum, the Massachusetts Fine Arts museum, several restaurant of great quality (I especially loved the Tatte Bakery!) and a grocery store about .5 mile away (Star market). An HMart is coming soon about a block away. All safe walking. Lively walkable neighborhood and only minutes by foot or T to the great American history of Boston. The hosts were very knowledgeable and super cordial. What a pleasure! We take our hats off to you!

Everything reasonable was really far outside of Boston, but then we stumbled across Anthony's Townhouse online. It is right in the heart of everything. You are extremely close to all the sights and restaurants. All of their rooms are extremely spacious with very big closets. Each one has its own unique decor. The whole place is extremely clean and housekeeping comes every morning. There is a fridge, microwave and bathroom on each floor. The owners are the most helpful people ever! They helped us find parking, get our T passes and even went through the map with us. There is a T stop right outside their house so you can take it everywhere downtown! I loved not having to take the truck anywhere. There are a few restaurants right across the street. There is also a whole foods. You cannot beat the price and location!! We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

It's easy to get to (right near Coolidge Corner), and easy to check in (even if you're after hours). They have breakfast for you every morning, and you can either eat in your room or eat at the big dining table downstairs. Downstairs is a great opportunity to chat with the other people that are staying at the BTI. I would recommend trying to get a room with your own bathroom to prevent the awkward walking through the halls in a towel moments with strangers. My favorite part about BTI was the freshly baked cookies and snacks they had every afternoon. It was like coming back to a home with all the great smells of food cooking and people happy to see you. The staff here was wonderful - so friendly, helpful and accommodating. They didn't mind that I hung out with my parents at the Inn and even ate some of their food. Another plus is the VHS library they have. They have tons of movies you can watch for free, and they have tons of guidebooks for those visiting and unfamiliar with Boston. Tell all your friends and family to stay at the Beech Tree Inn.

It was significantly cheaper than the Best Western by the medical school, and much, much nicer. What could be better? It is very nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast was an excellent continental breakfast that included home-baked sweets and plenty of healthy options. When returning in the evening, I often had tea and a freshly baked cookie or brownie. It's close to Coolidge Corner, which has plenty of places to eat out. It's near the T. The wifi was free and fast. I was delighted to stay at the Beech Tree Inn, and highly recommend it.

Location (5/5) quiet tree lined residential street only 5 minute walk from Stop and Shop. Lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of Boston street traffic and yet have east access to everything. Checking In/Out: (4/5) good information through emails, no contact, instructions/key were in an individual envelope on the front door. Simple as long as you don't need to speak to anybody about any issues. I stayed on the 3rd floor. Stairs are narrow and have a rail on one side. Dropbox on the 2nd floor for checkout. If you need parking, request it at the time of booking as it is limited onsite. Continental breakfast: (3/5): available for two hours in the morning on the 2nd floor, including coffee, orange juice, little muffins, bagels, boiled eggs, yogurt, packaged oatmeal. The Captain's Room: (4/5) Spacious with 4 post queen bed, vintage wooden upholstered chair, large dresser with large mirror, two nightstands, overhead light with ceiling fan, closet with mini fridge, TV, free WiFi. It shares a bathroom down the hall with one other room. Bathroom is small but clean with good hot water pressure and a convenient sink-side table for your toiletries--free shampoo, conditioner, soap. Creaky wooden floors in room, carpet in hallway. Earplugs offered on nightstand in case you're a light sleeper. Cleaning service available daily though I only requested it for checkout. Thermostat in hallway, not in individual rooms. Fortunately it was a cool weekend, not too humid. Though I never saw any staff, the place is clean and hospitable and I would stay again, maybe next time in a room with an en-suite bathroom. Overall a pleasant stay and exactly what I expected!

Clearly every effort has been and is being made to accommodate guests. The lady on the desk was professional and very patient with a tired traveler whose GPS had taken him and his traveling companion to the wrong address, the affiliate location, 1750 Beacon Street. This was in spite of a phone call informing us of the issue and an inquiry to confirm that we would arrive before 9:00 P.M. when the front desk closes for the night until 8:00 A.M. the next morning. The location was perfect for the early morning medical appointment which occasioned our stay. If you are a light sleeper and in Beacon Street facing rooms, the trolley passing from 6:00 A.M until Midnight might be a problem. However, this is a city location. Normal traffic noises are not an issue. Booking.com failed to inform us that our reservation was for Room #7 which has a private bathroom across the hall, not in the room. In fairness to the Beacon Inn, this is properly noted on the Beacon Inn website. The room was spotless neat and clean with extra blankets. Heating and ventilation was fine. The bathroom was equally clean and properly equipped. Bring your own hair dryer. Perhaps, we should concluded on our own that our room would be up three flights of stairs with rooms another flight above, no elevator, not easy for access for anyone with mobility issues. The price of $116 plus an additional $36 for parking was extremely reasonable for the location in Greater Boston. Parking was convenient and close with excellent, in person direction on how to access. Breakfast starts some time after 8:00 A.M. We left at 7:15 for an early medical appointment. Reading previous reviews, it is clear that significant efforts with notable success have been made to correct deficiencies.

I'd recommend it to anyone who needs somewhere to stay in Boston whilst on business or visiting a friend. Highly praised in Time Out's guide to Boston, this Fenway brownstone house did not disappoint at all. The interior is lovingly kept in original 19 century decor and Florence has an amazing collection of dolls as well as a whole room for her shoes and hats. At 80 dollars a night it was a bargain for a truly special room that could well have been in a museum. The bathroom was hip with a great toilet, and it was conveniently close to several T stops. The real gem though was Ms Frances, who was truly charming and had quite amazing stories. She has flags for every guest to show their nationality, and of the 50 or so flags she owns she's been to pretty much every country - including Iran. An introduction to her hat collection is quite a treat too. What a life she has led! She even had a free guest pass for me for the Museum of Fine Arts.
