Hilltop Market is located not far from Anderson Dam, nestled in the hills of Morgan Hill. Stopped in to grab a bite to eat... unfortunately all they offer is pizza & shredded tri-tip sandwiches. For $8 the sandwich was small, made on chubata and lacking lettuce, tomato or the typical sandwich fixings. While the service was friendly & the location convenient, the value just wasn't there. No chips or drinks were included either. Just not the value for the money. read more

Great place!! So glad that we have this local market nestled in Morgan hill near lake Anderson. They have great quality stuff. Gourmet food stuffs for foodies. They carry La villa ravs, They make great pizzas, sandwiches etc.. They also sell local raw milk and pasture eggs. Plus they have a great selection of wines and alcohol. Hill top market is a great addition to Morgan hill. The owner and his staff treat you like you're a long time friend or family member when you come in. They have the usual things that you can find at any other mini market but they also have many gourmet items ranging from local hot sauces to spices to excellent ice cream. I love this place and the community of east Morgan hill should do it's best to show it's support for this business. I haven't had the pleasure of living near a place like this since I was a child growing up in Southern California. By the way, they also do carry out pizza, made to order and they are as good as any full service pizza restaurant if not better. You have to try the smoked tri tip sandwich and you can even buy the house made dry rub that they use on it. read more

Keep an eye on the food while they make it! I went in there to grab a bite to eat. Ended up ordering a mediocre pizza. Cardboard with cheese at its finest. Gloves and hand washing isn't a priority here. I watched the big boy handle cash, then go back to making my food. I took it and threw it right in the garbage as soon as I got home. I wasn't even going to argue over it. Friendly place overall, great selection, but stay away from the food they make. read more

The employees are helpful and welcoming and the owner Charlie takes amazing care of his customers. I just read about someone complaining about Hilltop Markets "limited stock". While cooking pizza tonight, I realized I had no mozzarella cheese.I had just come from Hilltop Market to pick up the Gizdich Apple pie for dinner dessert. I called Charley and sure enough he had mozarella. I found 5 or 6 different types/brands of mozzarella in brick form,grated and wet with a couple of brands of some of them. (I was not surprised.) Hilltop Market is one of my favorite places! We just moved into Jackson Oaks and go there almost daily. Charlie is the best! They have every boutique delicatessen food there is. It's quite shocking to see how much stuff they really have. We recently bought some local honey which was literally to die for! We're trying out the pizza tonight. I'm sure it will be amazing. My only gripe is for certain items, and only certain items(dozen eggs: $10, small reynolds wrap: $6), the pricing is way too expensive compared to the grocery stores down the hill, I get the markup but that much is a little ridiculous;) Other than that, love this place! read more

So glad to see a market in this spot! They have everything you need from a local store diapers, lemons, sugar, milk and good hours of operation. In addition, they carry local wines, craft beers, other local products, including La Villas Ravioli. They also have mailbox & DVD rentals. They offer a full cappucino bar and make amazing breakfast sandwiches. They also make made to order pizzas. On Saturdays they sell beautiful tri tip and they always have pulled pork sandwiches and tri tip sandwiches on the menu. They even offer a call in service: Call in your coffee order before leaving the house in the morning & they'll have it reafy for you. Lastly, they have very ice folks running the place/working there.
