Service is good at the taqueria here. Food however was over salted and Carne asada was cooked to a crisp. In fact the Carne asada looked like little black rocks. Another thing was the chips $3 extra were stale so I got another bag and that took a few minutes bc they got busy. Overall we were disappointed. I've been coming to Región Market in Morgan Hill on and off for many years, and it truly feels like a community staple. On my most recent visit, I picked up some pan dulce, including a classic Mexican cake with pink frosting that brought back childhood memories. Soft, sweet, and perfect with coffee. I also loved the pre-made goodie bags they sell. I grabbed a Hello Kitty goodie bag with snacks, socks, and a toy, plus a "Brain Rot" bag filled with plushie keychains, a Fruit Roll-Up, gum, and small toys. Both were thoughtfully put together and fun. The taco bar is another highlight. Their tacos and burritos are really good, and the taco boxes are a must. The box comes with a generous amount of tacos arranged in a circle with chips, making it perfect for sharing. You can also order sides like beans and rice. A food review for the TacoBar inside of the grocery store. A container of guacamole costs $8.99 and a salsa is $4.99 at Region Market. It is one the few Mexican grocery store in Morgan Hill. I am just grateful that we have one for a last minute dash to get fresh coconuts or chorizo and fresh sour cream. I decided to get one fresh super jumbo avocado to eat with the cheese jalapeño tamale at home. I changed my mind about cooking when I saw the line at their Tacobar that is known for fresh homemade tortillas. Since I already paid for a tamale at the grocery register, I decided to try their tacos. Unfortunately, the tamale from the super market was dry and not that great after being in the air fryer the next day. The tacos eaten fresh at the TacoBar was a different story. Their selection of meats include CARNE ASADA - GRILLED BEEF POLLO ASADO - GRILLED CHICKEN AL PASTOR - MARINATED PORK LENGUA - BEEF TONGUE CABEZA - BEEF CHEEKS CARNITAS - PULLED PORK BIRRIA - SLOW COOKED BEEF CHILE VERDE - PORK IN GREEN SAUCE CHICHARRON EN SALSA ROJA - pork rinds in red sauce I want to come back on Taco Tuesday when you get 5 tacos for $8.99. Normally it is $4.79 for one handmade taco with homemade tortillas with your choice of meats and they load it with onions, cilantro, and fresh guacamole. I got one carne asada and one al pastor taco . Each taco comes with 2 tortillas and they give you so much meat that it is really 4 tacos. It is Sunday night and a lot of the orders were place in to go pizza flat boxes and big brown bags. If you are looking for a market with Hispanic groceries, this is the place they carry a wide variety of food items and they have a meat counter which rivals those of major chain markets. Review July 2025 I know some of the local Morgan Hill cops and I asked them where's the best Mexican food in town. Unanimously they answered Region market. I go here all the time for ingredients so I tried the bacon breakfast burrito today. Wow! Amazing. Great size, price and everything was perfectly seasoned. Much better and cheaper than lawsons and other places I've tried. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and chilaquiles. We'll be back! read more

Region market has a taco bar made with fresh handmade tortillas. Everything I've tried is delicious. I have tried their ramen birria, Flautas, quesabirrias, tortas, and burritos. Their ramen noodles is a great addition to their menu. All of the people working here are quick and efficient. Their meat section is located all the way in the back of the store. You can choose from prepared or unprepared meat. They have a panaderia and a coffee bar. I don't come here for produce because I think it's over priced. I've been here too many times and I haven't been disappointed. I always try the Al Pastor either tacos or the Region bowl. They prepare the tacos and the tortilla fresh, it's very satisfying to watch. Once they have the base ready, they call you in for the toppings and they have really good options for salsas and the usual onion, cilantro, picked vegetables and so on. I really like the region bowl, it comes with rice and two types of beans, refried or whole, choice of meat and choice of toppings. It's a very wholesome meal I would say. There are some seating area for you to eat from here. I usually take mine to go. It's fresh and delicious always. Some of the best Mexican food in South County. I recommend trying their "taqueria" inside of the grocery store. They have a great grilled chicken dinner that can easily feed a family of 4 or 5. Found a fantastic grocery store in Morgan Hill. This place has everything that we needed in one place! From fresh vegetables and fresh fruits to fresh guacamole, tortillas, bakery items and meat. We loved the place and it was very neat and clean and everything set up perfectly. There's also a fresh breakfast bar inside the store serving breakfast burritos etc! So far I visited this market a couple of times now. They serve hand made tortillas so I was immediately intrigued. The first time I went there, I ordered an Al pastor taco. They offer a variety of fixings to put on top from salsas, guacamole, rice, pickled veggies, just to name a few. That day I asked for radish, guac, cilantro, pico de Gallo, onion, and lime. It was on point, the hand made tortilla was amazing and the Al Pastor was flavorful! 5 stars! The 2nd time I went there, I ordered a carne asada taco bowl without the tortilla. I put a lot more toppings this time - guac, pickled veggies, radishes, salsa, pico de Gallo, grilled onions. The carne asada wasn't as flavorful as I hoped for and the rice was a bit soggy. I gave it a 2 star. Overall I give it a 3.5 star, but it's not going to stop me from going just yet. I'm intrigued by the toppings they offer, and I want to drink the horchata. I'm hoping my next visit will be just like my 1st. read more

I ordered the $24.95 Grilled Chicken Meal. The chicken was terribly dry. I asked them if it had been sitting around for a while and of course they said no. I would give the chicken 1 star rating, but their other products are ok. Unfortunately, for a market with a wide array of meats in the butchery, they use the least expensive cuts of meat for their "steak" tacos/burritos. Service was very good.
