Thank Hod I travel with showers sleepers

Hilton by the name you expect something better the bathroom is set up like is a rehab facility there's MOLD on the floor in the shower " the bathroom in my local hospital looks better mold better " I really don't know if is this room "116" only but I will never stay here again " there's better hotels at least one whit a cleaner bathroom.

Blood? Fecal matter? We'll never know.

And we're gonna go ahead and ensure the one star sticks since clearly you did not read what I said previously & stated I am not a fan of a business responding willy-nilly, as if my concerns were not valid. Let's be honest, as if a "internal review" is going to solve the problem of me being out over an additional $500 due to YOUR hotels issue is a waste of both of our time and you were better off not responding at all. If you want to submit remarks, those remarks would & SHOULD be "refund." Otherwise- just be quiet & quit trying to save face. The cover is blown. I know you're full of crap- responding under "Jackie's" Profile - SCOTT A - So we don't even know who's responding at this point. I'm going to assume that's the "social media manager" I'm sure. Send the real cleaning report to a professional cleaning company since your in-house staff isn't doing a good enough job- and get those filthy rooms in order instead of responding to yelp reviews! I'm certain my travels will be much safer in a place without random bodily fluids or biohazards all up and throughout the beds in the rooms- which means Hilton won't be getting any of those coins because we can SEE the conditions of the hotel. Good day & good riddance.

My husband and I attended The Million Pages Gala and The 9th Annual Chicago Urban Book Expo at this hotel so we had a room for the weekend. The hotel staff at check-in, the gala, the expo and room service were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed interacting with that many people that were pleasant. The hotel food we received through room service was delicious yet expensive. However, that's to be expected. The dinner we received at the gala was just okay. Nothing stood out but it was fine. The room and ballrooms were very clean. My overall experience was good except for the bed. It was too firm for me and my husband didn't like it either. We were uncomfortable all night. That's my only gripe. I would definitely recommend and if I decide to return I'll be bringing a mattress topper.

I like this hotel but service is not above and beyond for a Hilton. Lacks that extra care and guest approach you experience with most Hilton's. Not bad, just ok. I stayed here previously and in April 2019 so familiar with it and booked 4 days/3 nights. This trip customer service was a bit blah overall. Decent hotel and location is good as it's very doable for downtown (30-50 mins depending on traffic) and at a decent price point. Rooms are great and beds are comfortable with decent comforter and sheets. Awkward bathroom but love the two sinks in and outside of the restroom. Great for more than one person getting ready. No housekeeping service can be scheduled if for a Diamond Member on request. They will run you up fresh towels and such as needed. This and the fact that no acknowledgement of member status or general welcoming approach. Room before taxes was 180 to 218 a night booking a week in advance, where everything downtown was $350 - 700. This was a more affordable option and it's a nice hotel. Staff interactions could use some work, restaurant is just ok with poor service, and the water pressure is non existent but there is hot water. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice hotel and I would stay here again. Just giving a truthful review for anyone looking to know. This would be my go to if I could not get downtown at a decent price.

My husband surprised me with a birthday trip and an overnight stay at this Hilton location. Initially the front desk staff was friendly. However when we finally retreated to our room for the night and turned back the covers I smelled something funny. Upon further investigation I got up and smelled where I was lying and it smelled not only like rotten crotch and urine and a blood stain was on the sheet. We were moved rooms to a bed that was a couch! I would advise against staying here at all costs!!!! Based on one Yelp review I read...they don't change the mattress pads between customers!!!! Disgusting!!! I've noticed a lot of negative review's on here and all the account owner does is replies to comments saying "stay with us again so we can change your mind"! Why would anyone want to stay here again when you don't even get compensation for the inconvenience!!! I've been to a lower class hotel and have been compensated way better than what Hilton provides!!! Avoid Avoid avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!

I travel a lot and when I don't review a hotel I always, ALWAYS forget what I liked or didn't like about it. To avoid a disservice to myself, this is for my future reference. What I liked: - the lighting in the bathroom was amazing - bathroom also included one of those magnified mirrors - staying on the 12th floor was a great daily workout for my glutes - if you stay in a room with like an 00-10-ending range, you can catch the sunrise every morning. - fitness room equipment was nice and the restroom was inside the fitness room - location was decent for what I needed to do. It was 20-30 minutes from most of the vegan spots I like to frequent in the city. CONS: - poor housekeeping. Found hairs everywhere! Ew! - dirty walls, carpet, drapes, windows, etc - stains on towels. Gross - in desperate need of an upgrade - most of the staff was less than helpful - room was small Would I stay here again? If I had to, but I'd rather search for better options.

Yikes! Like, this place is....something. We arrived and checked in via the app. Got to our room and started to get comfy. Went to the bathroom, and noticed only cold water was coming from the sink. I'm thinking okay, it probably just has to run for a bit. So I turned on the shower water to allow the water to run so I could take a hot shower. The water NEVER got warm. I called the front desk and they told me to turn the handle a specific way. As I expected, that did not work. So the manager, Tom, brought up a key card for a new clean room that was two doors down so I could use that shower. I wish that room was a king instead of a double because then we could've switched rooms. Unfortunately they didn't have any king rooms avaliable for the rest of the night. But I did use that shower and the hot water did work. In the morning, we called the front desk for the mechanic worker to come up and take a look at the problem. The mechanic, Tony, came up and informed us the hot water valve was completely shut off because they were previously, and currently, working on some things on this floor. The lady manager of that day called and came up to the room shortly after Tony left to provide us with a key card a for a new room that was better and had hot water. I thought it was very courteous of them to also adjust the bill for the inconvenience. Thereafter we had no issues. But it still would've been nice to have no issues at all.

It's not cloudy outside. That's just dirt. Inside and outside the window.

I only stayed here because I was getting my floors refinished and needed a place for 2 nights near My home. This hotel seems like it's OK when you go for events but staying here is tragic. First of all, this is a FRANCHISE Hilton, which explains why it's so old looking, dirty, bathtub backed up, old furniture and unusual air cleaning practices. The manager informed me they are only a franchise, so there is no point complaining to hilton corporate. It's not the same standard. They spray bath and bodywork room spray on the floors so when you get off the elevator you are greeted with acrid spray in your lungs. That stuff is terrible for asthmatic kids. Front desk tells me they spray it to "cover up the smell of cigars." I've never been to a hotel that went to bath and bodyworks to buy a spray to remove smoke. That doesn't work. Beds were small but made up. Dirt in the corners of the bathroom. Dust in every corner. Bathtub stopped up and thought we asked for help maintenance never showed up! So we washed in the sink for two days. No effort was made to move us to a different room. Just overall not a hilton-level experience. Not family friendly given the club atmosphere of the hotel. My children didn't need to be here with adults behaving the way they were behaving in the lobby. Calling the front desk doesn't work. Noone answers. They also charge for parking. 10 a night, which is a steal over downtown but if you don't have reserved hotel parking and the folks at the restaurant can park closer, what's the point of charging? You can just park on a street. Front desk was slow. They let me stand there for 12 minutes -- looking at me -- before someone decided to help me check in. They also hold a ridiculous amount of money on your credit card for essentials that this hotel simply doesn't have or offer. I paid extra for a city view but the windows are so filthy. My son asked If it was foggy outside. No. The windows haven't been cleaned in years. See image. I'm actually shocked at the hotel space and now I know why locals never come here. I relocated to downtown, to a hyatt actually owned and managed by Hyatt. Yes Hyatt. I'm a hilton total rewards member and im disappointed that hilton even lists this place on the hilton site. It's not comparable to other properties. I guess if you have no kids and no choice, you could stay here. Wear flip flops and keep your bags off the floor. The elevator is a dead giveaway as it is filthy. You hate to touch the buttons. Each time we got on we had to inform management of either urine or vomit in the elevator. What kind of clients stay here that they are frequently urinating on the buttons?? Know that the freight trains run by this property, and there is no noise proofing on those dirty exterior windows. The a/c is loud. The room temperature gauges are outdated and slow to adjust to your liking. Yes it's an old building but there is no reason for it to be dirty. It's just overall subpar and not worth 165-200 a night. This is solid motel territory. Should be 115 max including taxes. Bring your own lysol and hand sanitizer.

When I asked about this at the front desk they said all the rooms are the same and it's due to chemical products used by the cleaning staff. Whatever they're using has a particularly noxious odor that feels like it's stabbing at your lungs, making it difficult to breathe. I woke up multiple times during the night just to open the front door and take some deep breaths of fresh air. It's terrible in this day and age that hotel owners don't realize how many people are chemically sensitive, may have breathing/respiratory issues, or just want to breathe fresh clean air instead of chemical stink. If you're odor-sensitive in any way you'll have an extremely rough time at this motel. I strongly advise finding another place.

We come back at 3:30 am and discover the absolutely atrocity of a motel room we were expected to sleep in for the night. We had no time to book a new room and find a different hotel. Once we notified the man running the desk and asked for our money back we were told no, and that he didn't have authority to do so. I showed him the room and he had said it was "his fault he didn't check the room before we came in" this was not a one time mistake. This dust, dirt and grime was a build up overtime, not an "oops I forgot to wipe down a surface once." Black mold, mystery liquid marks on the ceiling and walls, 6 months worth of dust in the ac filter (not to mention the visible dust on the outside of it), dirty sheets, there wasn't even a fitted sheet on the bed only a top sheet, dirt hair and dried up food between the wall and the head of the bed, drool stains on pillows and pillow cases, dust & hair everywhere. I felt like I was staying in someone's personal bedroom, not a clean motel room. Fresh sheets and wiping down surfaces is the BARE MINIMUM expectation and yet there was an envelope from the cleaner in the room asking to "reward for their efforts" asking for a tip. Are you kidding me? What a joke. I should have dusted out the ac filter and left it in the envelope. I could have taken a bottle of windex and a rag and had that place clean in a matter of 10 minutes. It was actually pathetic how neglected this room was. Once we were leaving the parking lot the man came out to our car window and said he could refund me $50 and said to come back next time and he'd give me half off. HA! You really expect me to come stay there again after that? You could not PAY ME to stay in that place ever again. For $150 you could hire someone to detail clean every single room in that place. For that price you can get a nice room at the Hampton. Pathetic and unacceptable. Don't stay here.

Let me start with the good stuff. The rooms were quite nice. To be honest, this is NOT a 4 star hotel, so do not expect a Ritz Carlton. But the furniture and the furnishings were quite nice and new. The towels were thick and heavy. The toiletries were very nice and plentiful. Likewise, the lobby is nicely done and big enough to handle lots of people at one time. We stayed at the hotel because of a big event/meal and, I have to say the event and food there were really good. The ballroom was nicely appointed and the food was very tasty (a hard thing to do when you're feeding about 300 people). But the hotel event staff ran a tight ship and I noticed a fair number of people going back through the buffet line for seconds. That is a good sign. Okay now to the bad stuff. The front desk staff were not very friendly or helpful. They looked at you, if they did at all, like you were bothering them. Housekeeping was sub-par; slow and they did not really clean anything. The bar and the dining room were also not good. The food in the bar and the breakfast in the dining room were not worth going back for at all, ever! One final thing to note is that the hotel is isolated in an area that is not so nice. Surrounding businesses are not interesting, there are no good restaurants and there is no place to shop if that is your thing. The hotel itself might be worth a 4 star rating here but the negative aspects drag it down to a 3 star review. Do I recommend this hotel? No.
