I stayed for one night at this hotel while visiting Del Mar. I got upgraded to their king suite on their third floor. It was a huge room with a living room and two entrance doors. It also had a nice view of the pool area. The location was also nice and it was easy getting in and out. I think parking was $30 per day. The bedroom was spacious with a queen size bed. The bed was comfy but the pillows were trash. The bathroom was okay. It was also spacious but shower in the tub didn't have great water pressure. My stay was pretty quiet. Not sure if its because my suite was located all the way at the end but I didn't hear any noise. It was pretty peaceful staying there. While my stay there I did enjoy a drink and some tacos at their bar. The bartender/waiters there were nice but it took awhile to get items. My drink and food was pretty good. Overall it was fine for one night.

I had to stay in the Del Mar area, and this Hilton property was conveniently located. There were positives and negatives. Positives: Chill, small property compared to Hilton La Jolla/Torrey Pines; Good sized room; Located right off freeway; Big gym; Negatives: Dated decor and no wand in shower; I would rather stay here vs the Hilton La Jolla/Torrey Pines. The vibe is more casual and the gym is much bigger.

Seriously sweet suites! Was upgraded to the Presidential Suite but opted instead for one of the updated rooms - the are beautiful. If they have them available I'd opt for them they are a major improvement from the older inventory. This one is 1st floor poolside with a private balcony. Check out the photos enjoy!

Staff here were amazing. I stayed here on business and they were kind to hold my packages until I arrived and delivered them to my room. First class service. My room was huge and very comfy, and I returned every evening with a nice tidy room. Their breakfast was delicious and pretty good selection. Parking was a breeze, and the time I was here there was huge ball. Great to see everyone all dressed up and having fun. Highly recommend. Cheers!

PROS: - Perfect location day or night - quick walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants - Popular spot for bougie food or European style gelato and surprisingly even Mexican eats. - Sunsets are my weakness, but here it's even more special especially from the lobby - it's unreal and literally GLOWS! - Love coming during the evening when you have no major plans and this spot was lively! - Great for people-watching so grab a drink and enjoy the show! CHEERS! - Living room bar had live music and great vibes! Feel free to dance it off as well. - Staff and valet team were friendly and on point. - Restrooms were well-maintained and clean. - Decor is dreamy, relaxing, and very Euro-chic! CONS: - Ocean view is hit or miss depending on where you're situated. If you have a balcony you'll have the full effect. - Drinks are PRICEY (go figure!) but hey worth it-sh LOL - Gets crowded and and maybe rowdy. Some days seem chill and others not so chill. So if loud noise is not your jam on busy nights, you may have to pass. OVERALL: 4 stars for great vibes and just a beautiful spot!

A couple of friends were visiting from San Francisco and had one extra night left at this hotel that were not going to use it. So since they were taking me for dinner at nearby Jake's, my girlfriend offered me the empty room for the night so I didn't have to drive in the dark and also enjoy a beautiful morning doing my 10,000 steps while simultaneously meditating and recording an episode of my podcast in Spanish. I loved the room super spacious and with everything I needed (even if the coffee machine did not work for me). Being right there by the beach was a total treat. I feel loved by my friends, especially since I have not been out of San Diego since past September for budget reasons doing multiple jobs at the time. So I appreciate this generosity and being at Del Mar Beach hotel as it is one of my favorite beaches and brings so much joy. The decor in the small lobby is very surfer, cool vibe. Similar inside the room. The restaurant does not have restaurant for breakfast but they offer free coffee and you can buy simple sweets (although there are plenty of options to eat nearby). Parking at the back of the hotel, no problem finding a spot and it is validated. Awesome experience, chill people, glorious sunsets from there!

The website says they have parking. And they do. 25 parking spaces for 50 rooms. They told me I can pay at a paid lot next door and they'll reimburse me...but I have to go move the car somewhere else at 10pm because the lot closes. The place they told me to move to offers no in and out ...and you get a $40 ticket after 10pm. You want to watch a movie? You can't. The TV kept randomly turning off and then would take a minute to reset so you could get back to the movie. You want a dark room so you can sleep? You can't have that the windows have plastic plantation shutters that let a lot of light in. You want it quiet? Nice. Try. There's a fan running 24/7 in the bathroom. You can't turn it off. And the train tracks look like they are 100 ft away- but in the middle of the night it sounds like it's in the room. Oh did you finally fall asleep but now you gotta go oee. Guess what? The automatic bathroom light is BLINDINGLY BRIGHT and you can't turn it off. (You can, but it turns back on 5 seconds later) Now I know why they give you Chardonnay so hopefully you'll just be chill with all of this. $600/night? This place is a joke.
