This should have no stars. I booked a stay at Eaglewood Resort & Spa through Priceline and had a genuinely awful experience made worse by how Priceline handled it afterward. Worst Hotel stay I have ever experienced. Priceline made it worse by - Misrepresented amenities:The listing advertised amenities that simply weren't available or accessible during our stay. What we booked and what we received were two different things. No out door pool, no golf privileges, no spa steam room, no free WiFi... the list goes on. Undisclosed resort fees: On top of the room rate, we were hit with resort fees that were not made clear at the time of booking. That kind of pricing bait-and-switch shouldn't be allowed on a platform that claims to offer transparent pricing. No running water: During the stay, the room had no running water for an entire day-a basic functioning requirement, not a minor inconvenience. The carpet was dirty, lights and doors were damaged and so was the lamps in the room. The balcony was falling apart and debris was all over the floor. Hazardous accessible room: We had specifically booked an accessible room. The bathtub in that room was unsafe and not actually equipped properly for accessible use. The grout was worn and I fell as a direct result and sustained an injury. Hotel staff deflected responsibility: When I raised these issues directly with hotel staff during the stay, they offered no resolution and instead directed me to take my complaints to Priceline -- even though the hazardous conditions and injury happened on-site, at the property they operate. Failed customer service from Priceline: I then called Priceline multiple times trying to get this resolved. Every call went nowhere no accountability, no real solution offered, and no urgency shown despite the fact that a guest was injured at a property they booked us into. Escalation with no resolution: I've since had to send a formal escalation to Priceline's executive customer service team. And I have called 7 times. No follow up and all emails provided were wrong. As of now, I'm preparing a credit card chargeback, and Better Business Bureau complaint. Neither of these hotel offered a partial refund. Priceline has completely dismissed me entirely. read more

What s pleasant surprise! The Eaglewood resort was an excellent venue to attend a work conference. The property is older, but is well-maintained, has comfortable rooms with basic amenities and multiple conference room options with indoor and outdoor break areas overlooking the golf course. The hotel features a bar and large lobby area for welcoming groups and gathering and there are plenty of convenient restrooms throughout the property. In addition to the 18 hole golf course, there is a glow in the dark putting area, perfect for a fun evening activity. The food was absolutely delicious for every meal during our 5 day stay and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The property is located reasonably close to O'Hare and is easily accessible from the expressway. I would definitely recommend the Eaglewood Resort for large group events. read more

The hottest day of the month the following is my we we experience. We checked in at 1:30 p.m. on July 3rd with your assistant manager, Rashard Herman, although I did not know his title at the time. We were assigned rooms 659 and 661 North. When my daughter and I entered room 661, we immediately noticed that the air conditioner was not working. I tried to call the front desk but discovered the phone had no dial tone. With the outside temperature over 95 degrees, the room was already uncomfortably hot. Since we were heading downstairs for lunch, I stopped at the front desk and reported both issues, expecting them to be resolved by the time we returned. I spoke with Rashard, the same person who had checked in. When we returned around 4:30, the room was extremely hot, and it was clear that the issue needed to be addressed immediately if we were going to stay there. When I tried to call the front desk again, I discovered that the phone still was not working. Frustrated by the heat and the lack of service, I went downstairs to speak with Rashard. Once there I said to him we had conversation about the issues in our room and nothing has been done in hours if you cannot fix the problem then switch our room, His reply was I have to be patience because we were not the only once with problems and there were no rooms available. I can be patience or leave the hotel. It wasn't until 7:00 o'clock we were finally transferred. We have stayed here previously but, it is changing and not for the best. Its time for new management, I would rate them a zero if possible. read more

This resort was likely amazing in it's hay day like 20-30 years ago. It is still overall fairly clean but the decor was somewhat The Shininh creepy... However!!! I flew overnight and they immediately got me a room. The service at the desk was direct but ultimately he was happy to help although he initially seemed icy. The walk to the room in the north tower was a hike!!!! Like give yourself 15-20 minutes to get to the conference center long. Several ramps up on the way to the room and down hill on the way back. The room itself was a good size. They are sorry if weird shaped. Like a trivial pursuit game pie piece. But because of that it was large. My view was of the golf course and it was relaxing and gorgeous. There is a nice balcony deck and it was a great size! The carpet was literally worn in areas and the wall paper was peeling in areas. But the bed was comfortable. The desk was older but LARGE which i loved. There is an arm chair with a chaise foot stool. Truly the room is great sized. Just older in decor and wear and tear. There was no service no matter how many days you're there unless you ask for it. I didn't need it. There were two bottles of water and a coffee maker but no cream. There is a mini fridge in the nightstand. All lotion and soaps (including shampoo and conditioner) are mounted on the wall in the shower. The shower is old and dripped all night but works great. The toilet is very low to the ground which was hard for me being as tall as I am. Overall with some updating i would love this place. The conference center was nice and the food was good. The conference center bathrooms were huge. Again with some updating I would stay here again.... or for a conference. read more

I really like this place but it needs some work. I spent almost a week at the resort visiting my daughter and granddaughter. The venue is outside of Chicago in a quiet tree-lined area of Itasca. The resort is older with a large golf course, meeting rooms, recreation center with spa, pool and bowling alley. There are 2 restaurants, a market/coffee bar and another bar in the bowling alley. They can accommodate about 350 guests overnight. Parking is ample and free. The service is 5 star. We were able to check in early after a long flight and they had the room set up with a pack and play for our toddler. The manager helped us with our bags and encouraged us to schedule the complementary resort shuttle for any small excursions that we needed. The concierge is super friendly and helpful. All of the staff greets you with a hello and friendly smile. So they cater mostly to conferences and weddings. There were 5 weddings over the weekend. Our room was in one of the towers. The room was spacious with a beautiful large balcony that we really enjoyed sitting on and watching the autumn colors. The furnishings are dated with a few cosmetic issues. The curtains were torn from sun, the linens thread bare in spots, wallpaper pealing in spots and cracked grout in the bath room. The soap dispensers are terrible and gross. You have to use 2 hands and the soap shoots out crooked. But the rooms were clean and the beds and pillow very comfortable. The television was nice. The rooms were remarkable quiet. We never heard our neighbors in any direction. The small elevators are quick. We seldom had to wait long for an elevator. The ice machine on our floor did not work and I had to go down 2 floors to get ice. If you want the room cleaned, you have to request and schedule. It became a challenge to deal with the daily trash and it would be helpful if there were receptacles on each floor to dispose of trash. We found ourselves chronically going to the front desk to ask for things. The rec center, while dated and in need of a face lift are nice. The pool is incredibly large and ADA compliant. The provided towels are a little thin but amply available as were lockers. The showers really need work. It would be nice if there were permanent stairs into the pool for youngsters. Still, we enjoyed the pool every day. They have several work out centers throughout the complex. They work out rooms are functional but sterile. There is a spa and golf course that we did not use. The golf course looked nice. The Market offers a few food items and we bought breakfast sandwiches. The clerk will heat the premade sandwiches for you, but our sandwiches were still cold after she heated them for us. The sandwiches were a disappointment. They also carry Peet's coffee and an assortment of beer, wine and other beverages for sale. The Prairie River Bar/Restaurant was ok but had a very limited menu (because it is fall). The sandwiches we tried were good and the fries delicious. The outdoor fire pit was really lovely. Service was quick and friendly. The dining room is lackluster with TVs playing sporting events. There was not much in the complex to entertain little kids. There is a small playground across the street that we discovered on our last day. There are no sidewalks to walk a stroller or go for a run. The town desperately needs sidewalks. So while it's not perfect, Eaglewood had a lot to offer and gets you out of the city. Lady at the pool comes in today and mind you we are in a HUGE POOL BY OURSELVES, volleying a water volleyball and she tells us we aren't allowed to have a ball.....we got out to look at the rules, NO WHERE does it say no balls first of all and second it's literally just us in here. False accusations were made about inappropriate activity, which were completely unfounded. The handling of this situation was embarrassing and deeply disappointing. Eaglewood Resort missed an opportunity to support and welcome a major event. Instead, guests were made to feel like a problem rather than valued customers. The service here was absolutely terrible, and the mistreatment we experienced was unacceptable. My family and I stayed for two days, and during that time, we were treated with clear disrespect. The staff's communication was rude, their social cues were off, and we were racially profiled throughout our visit. We were not welcomed as we were supposed to as we walked into the lobby, and entered the dinning/bar lodge. We were not given the same level of service as other customers around us. Things escalated when my uncle politely asked an employee for an extra chair for our table. Despite that, the manager accused him of threatening and trespassing as he was being escorted by another staff member. My entire family witnessed how calmly my uncle made the request for one chair for our table. To make matters worse, the dishes, tablecloths, and washcloths were dirty. We even recorded a video showing the manager, "Scott," yelling at my family, belittled us and making inappropriate remarks all tonight to us. He even referred to us as "you people" and said there was something wrong with all of us, even though we did nothing wrong. All we did was ask for one extra chair and tried to calmly address the mistreatment we were receiving, but he reacted aggressively. We only came to celebrate my aunt's 70th birthday, yet instead we were met with humiliation and growing disrespect each day. Spend a lot for our rooms and service and end up receiving this mistreatment. This not what I and my family anticipate. She did not deserve to spend her birthday this way, she deserves far better. Came for a wedding, beautiful property. We stayed 3 days but really the other mentions if your not playing golf, not a great deal to do. The heated pool and workout area was in a separate building across the parking lot ? Not sure why but not convenient. Property is dated a bit but in good condition. No coffeemaker I'm the room which was very disappointing. Have to call to have your room cleaned. I did not use the spa. Marketplace has coffee all day, drinks and pre-made sandwiches. Snacks and fruit. It's not open late maybe 8 or 9 pm. Opens early. The breakfast buffet ( only restaurant area ) was made fresh with an omelette station. Had fruit, potatoes, sausage -regular and Turkey. Service was very challenged when a lot of events are taking place. The downstairs "tavern" had a large TV and music in the evening. Served lunch and dinner. The catered wedding is why they got a 4 star. Good service, beautiful set up and hard to serve 4 courses but they completed with ease. All of the appetizers before dinner "cocktail hour" and dinner was amazing. They truly impressed me with quality & service of the event. A 5 in the event arena and 3 for the overall hotel. read more

Decided to choose this location because of the wonderful spa and the wonderful reviews that it had. Was greeted by front staff with smiles and they were very friendly. Had a 445 spa appointment for an hour and let me tell you that hour was extremely fast. The technician that was chosen for me was extremely gentle applied pressure where I needed it. Just a little housekeeping notes you may want to dust the top of the headboard more often. And I kind of don't like seeing bits of hair behind the toilet lid. But all in all I enjoyed my stay. FYI..I couldn't find the ice machine around where my room was located so bring your own. read more

However, if you are looking for a resort with a truly relaxing and quiet environment, this is it. The resort have several buildings and multiple floors to select from... you will do a great deal of walking (which I love) and the corridors are tight. There are no bells and whistles as far as upgraded amenities, but you will have what you need. The bathroom products are supplied (J.R.Watkins) as far as body wash to lotion. You control the temp in your room. The view from my room was lovely. The room was spacious (it was just me) with a king bed, desk, chair, mini fridge, dresser, TV, extra blanket if needed, and a few more nice touches. They have a number of event spaces, bar area, golfing, spa, bowling area w/ a bar area, indoor swimming pool, and other activity options. The resort restaurant has a rotating menu, so there will different options each day. I loved they had vegan and vegetarian main course options one day of my stay. There will always be something for any kind of eater. The staff overall was pleasant, although there were a lot of complaints from our team about the unprofessional behavior from front desk personnel. I didn't experience personally, but no one else on our team had anything nice to say. As far as event space, I wish they had a media package options. Charging price per microphone seemed unnecessary and over the top. After each event, we did have to ask the room to be cleaned, they had a slow response, but it got done. SPA REVIEW: This place is old - doesn't look like it's been updated in quite sometime. Hot tub was dirty. We got one of the fall specials that included sparkling cider - we never got the cider. When I asked about it when we were leaving the woman working at the desk said "oh no one ever gave it to you?" and then asked if we wanted it now but we were leaving. The massage we scheduled was deep tissue but it was far from it. No pressure, basically someone rubbing your back. When I asked during the massage for them to focus on my shoulders and neck for the rest of the time they told me they would get to it after my legs..For $175 this experience was terrible and really disheartening as I was looking forward to this while having some time off work. This is a cozy resort with friendly staff and cool amenities. Free buffet breakfast is included with the purchase of rooms. The fun part about staying here was the the bowling and hot tubs. The rooms are a bit outdated. There are two restaurants available onsite in case you don't feel like driving and searching for a local restaurant. The food was great, especially the salmon. The salmon was crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. The asparagus was perfectly grilled and delicious. The dinner was so delicious that I believe I overate. Breakfast is served buffet style with a large assortment of foods for those who are health conscious or interested in splurging. I wish the hotel offered a survey after our stay like they did for our spa services. I want the hotel to see what was a bit concerning to us. Overall, we had a great girls' getaway weekend. The issue is that the bathrooms need to be upgraded. The bathtub is dangerously slippery, and there are no bath mats or anti-slip stuff to keep you from falling. Also, there are no safety bars to grab to catch yourself when you fall. Also, there are no towel bars or hooks to dry your towels so you can use them more than once. There was one casual restaurant to dine at in the evening, but in this day and age what restaurant doesn't offer vegetarian cuisine? read more

It's fine. Nothing remarkable and definitely nothing, in my opinion, to warrant the 4-star/4-Diamond rating I've seen on other sites. The website reads as if it's a resort where you will be able to stay, relax, dine, and be entertained. This is not true. The bowling alley is only open Friday - Sunday and even then doesn't open until 4:00. The restaurant wait to order at the bar (it wasn't crowded) was so long that we opted to just order delivery from UberEats. The lobby bar isn't open. There truly is not much to do there at all. The spa was nice, but odd to me that the pool, sauna, and steam room were separate. There is no cafe at the spa and you cannot leave the spa and come back. So, if you're looking to do an entire spa day, you may have to bring lunch. Also, don't get a wrap at the spa. The person I had basically just rubbed lotion on me and then folded the blankets over me like a cocoon. I guess that's technically "a wrap" but not what I'm used to as a spa treatment. Finally, the room was fine. Nothing spectacular. I do imagine that in the summer the golf course views from the large balcony would be great. read more

My second time staying here and I like it. It's a nice mini getaway from home to just relax and enjoy the scenery. My room had a beautiful view of the golf course. I always enjoy my visit here. The staff is always so friendly and willing to direct you with any information that you need. There are so many things you can enjoy and experience here. The area has local restaurants and the drive is not too far from Woodfield Mall. The service is wonderful and my room was very clean and spacious. I loved the balcony scene. It was refreshing and very relaxing. You can choose to add a spa package to your deal. The Spa is Amazing. A little pricey but I think its worth a treat for yourself. Nice dining area, Enjoyable getaway for golfers, girlfriend getaway to spa, romantic getaway, and families who are just seeking a relaxing and comfortable nearby destination with exciting activities. Bowling, hot tubs, sauna room, a bar downstairs in the resort. Just so many things to enjoy on your visit. The only thing is make sure you check your credit card billing. Humid hotel and smelled of mold in the public areas and hallways. One person in our party had a headache from the mold (smell?). Recommend screen-capture the room you reserve and compare to the room assigned upon arrival. Recommend to keep records and watch closely for added charges on your credit card. Other than that, the interior was DARK charcoal gray and DARK taupe colored rooms with oversized antiquated drapes and dim lighting...very very DARK rooms making it challenging to see your black suitcase and contents anywhere except right in front of the balcony doors/windows. Room temp was 76 when we arrived on an 82 degree day...and it took hours to actually cool it down just a little. Perhaps cleaning and utilizing the entire building a/c for hot days would keep the mold smell in check, reduce hotel humidity, and allow comfort to arriving guests? Absolutely not worth a $150-$320/night stay. Plus, they often dont pick up the lobby phone and you have to call several times in order to talk with someone onsite. For other issues, they want to transfer you to offsite support...which will tell you to call the hotel site. Save yourself the hassle and just stay somewhere else that is bright and non-moldy and where they actually utilize the a/c on hot Midwest summer days. Could have given 1 star, but most of the staff were very pleasant, and we have traveled at lot and actually experienced worse---but usually for less $$$. read more

My stay was Dec 30-Jan1. We went for a girls weekend to celebrate and bring in the New Year. When we finally got to our room (after walking about 2 miles from the front desk) the room was spacious but dated. There were crumbs in the sheets of the sofa bed (yuck!), none of the soap dispensers worked (good thing we brought our own) and a small infestation of spiders in the room. The room telephone did not work so we had to call on our cell phone to reach the desk for any questions we had. The room was pretty dark after the sun went down- there were 4 lamps but only 3 worked- so we used the flashlight on our cell phones. We made the best of it and still had a nice weekend because of the group I was with. I gave 3 stars because the breakfast buffet was good and most of the staff was nice. Treated my girlfriend to a relaxing weekend for Valentine's Day. The view from the room at 1101 south was wonderful. The downstairs restaurant was not impressive at all and the bartender seemed like he was having a bad day. However, the breakfast was delicious! It seemed like all of the staff besides the front desk were having a really bad day. The building that housed the spa, bowling alley and pool was a different story entirely. The staff there were absolutely incredible! Fun, down to earth and Jackie, the bartender in the bowling alley, sure could make a nice drink. The entire staff in the spa especially Ivy took great care of my girlfriend, she is still smiling from ear to ear! Really disappointed. We planned a sister spa weekend - stayed 2 nights at the hotel and booked the Royal package at the spa. From the get go the spa kept changing our times and jerking us around. When we arrived all was well. Our massages and facials were good, not great, but no complaints. We were very unimpressed with the facilities. The steam room had a broken piece laying on the floor when we entered. Didn't attempt the sauna. The hot tub had a brown crusty film around the edges and brown gunk floating on top of the bubbles. So gross!!! Also, the sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool were all accessible to all guests (including children) which definitely wasn't expected. Didn't really want to hear kids playing in the pool on our spa day. The "locker room" facilities were "meh". Showers were standard gym showers - we were expecting nice spa showers. They had mouth wash and lotion available with towels and shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the shower stalls. Unfortunately, our experience got worse when the spa tried to switch our 12pm services to 9am. I recently booked a room at this "RESORT" and paid 190 to basically just get the kids out and swim. The room was very small and dark. The pool was located across from the hotel which in the winter is the worst situation ever. No one was supervising the pool which is fine I understand however there was a million little kids under the age of 9 taking up the entire jacuzzi, playing in it like it was a water park. I was not able to sit in it at all. I was there for 3 hours & the kids stayed in there the whole time. Biggest waste of 200 dollars. Yes the hotel was very nice & clean but if you are going to swim or enjoy a relaxing time in the jacuzzi with fellow considerate people this is not the place to go. read more

Beautiful venue! Went for a retreat and had a great experience. There are golf courses, restaurants, a bowling alley, spa and pools. The service was very attentive and had easy access to everything. read more

I honestly love the course. It's a fun short layout. The holes look easy and then you are grinding for a par. The staff is really friendly. The course itself can be a bit dangerous as the tee boxes are in between holes, so have your head on a swivel. My only major gripe about this course is the pace of play. Block off at least 5 hours. The ranger doesn't do anything. I am going to give two examples: (1) We saw a group of 8 golfers on a tee box. They were on a bachelor parry with the hole in front of them wide open. Ranger doesn't do anything. (2) We were behind a slow group. Call club house and ranger comes. Nothing changes. The group is still slow and an entire hole behind. Tell the slow group to skip a hole. read more

The patio bar had horrible service !! They had one waitress and she was not apologetic at all for taking an hour to get back to the table. It was a scheduled event on top of it so they knew to expect a large crowd. Learn how to staff! read more

We chose this as a place to celebrate my birthday and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a staycation. We will definitely be back to check it out in Spring. read more
