Stayed for one night for the Boise marathon. We always blind rate hotels among our family when we leave and take the average. Unanimous 4 for two main reasons: Wii Fi didn't work in our room with the code given to us (had a laptop with us) and the breakfast in the morning was misrepresented in their listing. It said free continental but when we got there it was made to order and cost extra. This was an issue because our girls were going to use it while we ran the marathon in the morning. Instead they had leftover pizza. On the positive, the hotel has very nice interiors, gym, and indoor pool/spa. The room was larger than expected too. Hallways smelled nice like they purposely put something into the air. We can usually count on the Hilton brand to put on a good show and it did for the most part. read more

Staying at this hotel could ruin your vacation and put you in serious danger. Desi, the general manager, is content to take the word of seven middle school kids and leave you homeless in a foreign place, even after reviewing video footage and recognizing false allegations. The police department in Ada County are egregiously irresponsible and made a forty year old mother and former teacher, who's never been in trouble with the law, feel like a criminal and had no problem stranding her three states away. As a loyal Hilton customer for DECADES, I'm still shell-shocked twelve hours later. read more

Nice location and all the rooms seem to have a view to the Boise River (that's a cool plus). Check in and check out was easy since you can do everything mobile now. The hotel is located to a lot of food locations (walking or driving distance) making it easy when hungry. The hotel was very nice inside and out. The room had all the basics. I wish that the toiletries were a bit better but not a big deal or a deal breaker for us. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. read more

The room is nice. $300 balcony over the Boise River. What I wasn't too thrilled about was nothing but coffee was complimentary. No Juice, No cold cereal, No muffins, etc. Their $10 breakfast buffet consists of hard boiled eggs, yogurt & cereal. You can sit down and order a breakfast just like a Denny's. At many hotels at least you can grab an apple or banana & tomato juice. At these room rates you'd think they'd have a continental breakfast. Not here. Get your plastic out. read more

So far I have to say this is the best Hilton Garden Inn we have stayed at. Once you enter your amazed at the large open lobby with warm lodge style upscale stone fireplaces and and woodworking. Lobby is beautiful. Rooms are quite comfortable and recommend the river views. Evening room service is provided by the hotel via Bardenay distillery across the parking lot. If I could give 10 I would. I was on a work trip for a while, and this was my stay. Starting off with the location, you are close to everything, so you can even go for a walk and get coffee or go eat. They have a Bardenay right next to the hotel as well, so food and drinks are steps away. But what really made my stay a fantastic experience was the staff there; they will go above and beyond to take care of you and accommodate your needs. I unfortunately don't remember how to spell their names, so forgive me if I make a mistake, but Dshawn, Kora, and the other 4 lovely ladies at the front desk, everyone was so nice and always helping out, so shoutout to everyone in this hotel because they're doing an amazing job!. Lastly, my favorite part about this hotel was the lobby and how spacious it is, as well as the views I had from my balcony and the trail right behind the hotel! It's perfect for families and safe for children; the number of times I saw kids enjoying time outdoors behind this hotel was so precious! I'd always go on walks every morning after having breakfast at the hotel, which was also 10/10, especially their biscuits and gravy! Solid 4 star HGI in Eagle Idaho...stayed here last week for 3 days. The staff working here on any shift is super friendly and nice. The facility is really up to date and well kept and looks right over a river with walking trails. The room I had was very spacious with a separate living room at area with nice seating, a separate desk work station and king size bed. Bathroom while not spacious well appointed and super clean. I usually really like their breakfast and while good the omelet and bacon I ordered was really sloppy and the spinach tasted almost rotten. Outside of that really great place to stay. read more

I am a regular business traveler and I was spending a few days in the Boise area this past week. As a diamond Hilton honors member I have stayed at a lot of Hilton's. This was just average on the scale. There was nothing really wrong, but also nothing spectacular. I am a big fan of Garden Inn breakfast because you can order custom omelettes. For some reason the omelette here was not as good. Very small and thin compared to others I have had. The bed seemed a little flat also. Hilton has some of the best beds in the business and these were very average as well. The room was clean and stocked with two waters, but I didn't feel as welcome here as other places. At many Hilton properties they go above and beyond for diamond members and this just seemed very....regular. I will say the architecture and surrounding grounds were very impressive. Not our usual choice for Boise area visits given we usually stay multiple nights and pick Homewood Suites (also a Hilton property) in Boise. But this week my husband and I had a whirlwind check it at 6p and check out at 8a turnaround trip to Eagle for a business transaction and we wanted a hotel nearby our morning appointment. Rates here are higher than many others in the area, including the Homewood, but we felt we got what we paid for in convenient location, sparkling staff and comfortable enough room. This would not be our first choice for an extended visit, but for a night or two we'd choose it again. CONVENIENT LOCATION Easy off and on freeway. Sits right on the Boise River at the back of the property with a 'boardwalk' public deck at back for overlooking that has both Boise Greenbelt access and access down to the river. Also Bardenay restaurant is right next door for an easy walk across the parking lot for a nosh from lunch through dinner or late night. SPARKLING STAFF From check on in the evening of our arrival to our in and out that evening through check out the next morning, the staff was friendly, professional and efficient. We heard "Thank you for staying with us" several times. Very nice. Six stars! ROOMS Adequate in size. Don't know if the one we were in was typical, but it felt perhaps just a bit narrow and claustrophobic. For a night or two, works fine. More than that, we'd choose the Homewood. Nice crisp sheets and comfy pillows on the standard Hilton Garden Inn "sleep number" bed. Some room furniture, like the channel arm chair and ottoman, seemed newish. The casegoods like night tables and desk, showed wear and tear and seemed overdue for replacement in a property at this price point Bathroom space was adequate. Some rooms face the river and have private balconies. Those rooms have a higher nightly rate. River facing rooms also face the main arterial road so they will be noisier. Rooms have fridge and Keurig coffee maker. Free wifi was a tad slow...aren't we all spoiled these days. But that it is free is a good thing. EXTRAS No free breakfast here but in house breakfast service is available for $9.95 in 'cafe buffet type' set up in lobby. Free coffee service in lobby from early morning (as example 5:30a when we went for our first cup) into later evening. Good, bold Tully's coffee used. Thumbs up! THIS N THAT 1) PARKING: Ample parking in the private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: All public spaces seemed nicely accessible but for too heavy doors in some areas. 3) FACELIFT: Public spaces are undergoing a face-lift with recently installed, and cool I thought, new lighting, new art on walls and so on. read more

I usually don't have to get a place to stay when I reside in Boise/Eagle area but I do need to place I can recommend to family and friends. The Garden Inn property that skirts the Boise River and is quasi in Eagle, Boise and Meridian is perfectly located for families and friends they are from out of town. It's a 10 min drive from our home to the HGI property and stunningly gorgeous in all seasons. It feels and looks like a lodge with its rustic design and charm. The staff are awesome and there's plenty of parking. Bardenay's is close by as well as other options. There's a gasoline station across the street and parks nearby. One other advantage versus the properties at the other end of Eagle road is the traffic. Those locations near the I-84 are difficult to navigate with the traffic and the exits and entrances. If you in Meridian/ Eagle and have friends or family coming in from out of town that you don't want sleeping on pump up beds in your living room, then HGI Eagle/Boise is your safe-haven retreat solution read more

Everything was very nice here except the main reason you go to a hotel to begin with. The people and the cleaning ladies were very nice. The breakfast is NOT included so if you are expecting to eat after NOT sleeping well, your out of luck unless you pay 10 more bucks! Did I mention the beds here suck, the pillows here suck. Love this hotel. We ONLY stay here when we visit Idaho. We stay typically anywhere between 5-7 days. Very clean, beautiful views, close dining, nice staff. I love the cozy feel of this hotel! I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Service and accomodations were what you would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. The trail in the back by the river is amazing and feels really homey...that is if you actually take advantage of it! There are 2 restaurants in the same center and more food places right across the street. There's no traffic noise and the rooms are very quiet. A bonus was they had really good cookies...crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle...totally hit the spot! No Disney channel, though. Boo to that! read more

I have stayed here many times and have enjoyed each stay. The staff on all shifts are very friendly, professional and attentive. The rooms and the rest of the inn is well maintained. I recently had a mix up with my reservations from Hilton Honors ( They failed to confirm my reservations) when I called the inn they went out of their way to make it right! Beautiful hotel along the river! My family and I love to walk the green belt that runs right behind the hotel. We always stay here when we visit Idaho. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable. Nice location close to many amenities. The staff is always friendly and accommodating as well. Business meeting here for two days, so this hotel is very convenient for our customer visit. A fairly new hotel with services that's completely professional -- the soft oatmeal cookies at the check-in desk didn't hurt. Has good work out area, wifi, restaurants nearby and a brewpub around the corner. I was upgraded to the Riverside view part of the hotel--- a nice veranda overlooking the river. For person with one bag, and a laptop, a huge room with two queen beds, office bureau, flat screen tv, bar and an entrance, is quite a bit and appears bigger than my house's entrance area. This place is pretty awesome. Would have given it 5 satrs if the front desk clerk that was just getting off hadn't been all "Im getting off why did you come in at this time can't you see I want to leave really bad" atitude. Other than that it was a very pleasant place to stay. The people that came in after her where very helpful finding a good close place to eat. And walking on the deck next to the river was also quite fun the kids loved it. Look forward to staying there again. read more

We stayed at the hotel as a mother's day weekend stay-cation. For many years we've been wanting to stay here, we finally made it happen. We were so very disappointed. The rooms were average, like staying at a freeway hotel. No bottled waters in the room. Paper cups for coffee. No water glasses in the bathrooms. Each bed only had one pillow. We had to ask for several more pillows. When we finally settled in, the noise from Eagle rd made it impossible to get any sleep. So very loud. It felt like we were staying at a hotel 8 off the freeway. My husband talked to the on duty manager, all she said was, I am sorry that you feel that way. Didn't try to make anything right. Everything about this hotel felt very average, at about $200.00 a night, I was expecting so much more out of this place. read more

My now husband and I stayed there the night before and the night of our wedding. Great location, beautiful view, nice rooms. Staff was polite and helpful, not overly friendly but doing what they were expected to do with a smile. A little weird that our room was so much and we still had to purchase an over priced breakfast down stairs. I wasn't so happy about that. The room was nice but the bathroom was a bit small. Our friends stayed 6 min down the road, paid 30 less a night and had two sinks a much larger bathroom and a free breakfast. I can't complain to much because the location was gorgeous and I was able to walk to my wedding which is why we chose it. I would stay here again if I got a stellar deal but we won't go out of our way to stay again. Otherwise I will stay 6 minutes down the road. read more

It's getting three stars, because I am a loyal Hilton member. I never felt like home at this Hotel. The check in, was smooth, but the card readers on the counter have to go. When I hand my card and I.D. to the receptionist we are building on a bond of trust. I am not spending the night at a motel 6. The room, though standard 2 queens, I prefer a king, had no way to cool the room lower than 65 degrees. I had to open the window and try and sleep to the rhythm of the noise from the highway. Needless to say, this will not be my go to Hotel in greater Boise, ID. Breakfast was a highlight. We like the convenience of dining at the Hotel. read more

I am an attorney and I travel a lot. I checked in to this hotel, and discovered pubic hair on the toilet. I swiftly returned to the front desk and they gave me another room. This room had the same problem with hair all over the bathroom and did not include the balcony that they charged me an extra $20 a night. On the third time, I demanded another room and that the manager on duty come up to see what I found. In the third room,I discovered hair around the tub in the presence of the night supervisor. His response was" if a little hair bothers you then this is not the hotel for you" . I took Pictures of everything and I asked the supervisor to restate what he said on Video, He would not. I asked for a call from the general manager in the morning. I was assured that she would call and she never did. Her name is Lisa Gandiaga and I called her in the morning to discuss the situation and what her supervisor said. She immediately made excuses and made it like it was a normal practice to have hair on the back of the toilet, or around the tub. I paid $170 for a night which is what a high end hotel costs downtown Boise. I would strongly recommend Springhill Suites over this hotel until this manager is gone. read more

I highly recommend this Inn. Everything is perfect, the room and the entire staff. Although all the staff was pleasant and responsive, I dealt mostly with Oliver and Wyatt and they both were extremely kind and helpful. Also, Rebecca, the server at our breakfast, was intent on making sure we were happy and all was well. The housecleaning staff were also pleasant, and the room was emaculate. The only reason I did not rate this 5 star is because it does not have a kitchen. There is a very good little restaurant next door, and you simply place your order with them and it is quickly delivered to your room by the hotel staff. The food was very, very good and reasonably priced. A great substitute for a lack of a kitchen. I will stay there again if I'm fortunate enough to return to Eagle. read more

I can't speak to the quality of the room if you actually stay there, but I have been trying to work with the account manger to create a block of rooms for a wedding. He's impossible to get a hold of, doesn't return your calls and now, after two weeks of trying to get a hold of him, there are suddenly no rooms available. I would avoid taking your groups here at all cost, you won't get any kind of customer service. I assume this is a reflection of the rest of the business. Two thumbs way way down. I have stayed here 2 times in the past 2 months and won't be back. Room 208 was bad . Could hear the outside A/C units for the entire building all night and the garbage trucks in the morning. Decided to try it again yesterday on April 9th thinking I just had a one off bad experience. No it was even worse. Room 213 looks right at the 5-8 A/C units that are placed on the roof of the entry. No sleep just the loud hum of commercial A/C units running all night. Never again. I am sure if you get a river view room your stay will be nice but not worth the chance. read more

Our experience here was "meh" with the beautiful location and the price, I was expecting a bit better. Pros: 1) clean rooms 2) nice decor 3) large rooms 4) great view 5) convenient location for Eagle Cons: 1) they claimed to be overbooked for our stay and requested room type, hard to believe because after we complained they "magically" came up with the room type requested. 2) instead of making meaningful steps for service recovery they offered a free access to their breakfast service, we already had plans for breakfast and had no interest in their overpriced breakfast service. The desk clerk deferred to a manager for further options, the manager didn't call personally and this was when the room we reserved suddenly became available (2 hours after we checked in and settled into our replacement room) we chose not to move at this point preferring the inconvenience of the pull out couch to the inconvenience of putting all our gear back together and moving to the room with the queen bed we originally reserved. Bottom line: Customer service fail, the staff was friendly while basically doing nothing to improve on their mistake. No excuse for the over booking since we called the hotel desk to make our reservation a few days before the stay. There are other options around Boise so my advice would be stay here if you must, but demand a manager if they try to give you an overbooking line, and don't be nice, the nice approach got us nowhere. read more

I went to the Hilton hotel in Idaho. My first time on a plane and In Idaho. We stayed in the suite, when I entered then bathroom I saw about 10 black hairs one on the toilet , one in the tub, one of the towels 3 in the tub.. it was not good. Also we were out right near the highway which we could hear traffic all night long. There was also a crack on the granite on the bathtub and sewage actually came up from the bathroom drain! It was a terrible experience. The pros are the pool is very clean, the cleanest pool in the hotel and the lobby bathrooms and lobby is nice. Also We asked to be relocated but unfortunately the other suite is also by the highway... read more

Very Nice hotel... the staff was amazing and the price was right... my only complaint was the housecleaning staff was annoying... On one occasion they took some donuts out of a box... they took them out of the box while we were out, wrapped them in napkins and threw the box away. GROSS!!!! DON'T TOUCH MY FOOD PLEASE!!! In the morning they were constantly hassling us so they could clean the room. One morning we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up and they still knocked... yeah... would totally give this place 5 stars but the house keeping staff was just too annoying... we will probably be back and hopefully they will be doing some restaffing in the housekeeping department. read more
