Grassy area for dogs with a poop bag station

We had 3 adults, 2 kids and a XL dog in one of their suites (2 queen beds in the bedroom and a pull out bed in the living room) for 5 days and it worked pretty good. The room/living room/kitchen are small but we made it work. The whole hotel is nicely furnished and beautiful. Service is great! Everyone we came in contact with was kind and helpful! Their daily continental breakfast was a huge plus! The food overall is 3/5 stars BUT not having to cook or clean breakfast is amazing and they did have a lot of different food options. Im also a huge fan that they have Coffee/Decaf/Hot Water available all day long. Not having to buy breakfast and coffee definitely saves some money. The beds are not comfortable, you can feel the springs. But it wasn't too terrible for a 5 night stay. We were able to do a load of laundry easily, bring quarters if you need to do laundry during your stay. The indoor pool and gym area are awesome. There's also a small basketball court here which would be fun for older kids. There is a large park directly across the street. Large grassy area, volleyball ball courts, large jungle gym area, splash pad during summer time and access to walking trails. This is perfect for walkers/dog owners/ parents with kids. We were staying on the 2nd floor and the only thing that was hard to deal with during our stay was that one of the 5 nights, our room smelled like campfire all night long which really bothered my lungs and I wasn't able to sleep much. We were not sure why the smoke smell was coming through the AC, we had no windows open. When we told the front desk the next morning, they had no idea why that would have happened. Hopefully they can fix whatever the problem was so that no future guests have to deal with that.

    Breakfast well presented.

Room is okay, replete with home essentials such as dishes, pots, flatware... Im staying with my son who is a Diamond level patron and who was told there are complimentary snacks available to that level guest, upon check in. Just came from the lobby. Was told by what could only be described as a dismissive front desk clerk that, 'You could have some popcorn '. Popcorn. A microwave popcorn packet. Had I known that such stellar snacks were available to high level Hilton guests , I would be staying at Hiltons much more often! Customarily, attentive service is the hallmark of excellence. It is the standard at most Hiltons, and we had come to expect it. Sadly, not here. Not tonight.

In the rather large parking lot, people were out street racing and yelling, throwing traffic cones and making a lot of unwanted noise when all we wanted to do was sleep after a long day on the road. The king suite was spacious with new furniture. There was a micro refrigerator ironing board, iron, hair dryer, a new roll of Charmin professional toilet paper and Kleenex brand tissue. There wasn't a microwave in the room but one was in the dining room area on the first floor. There was a small single serve coffee maker in room with a real coffee cup and two small drinking glasses. There was a bar area on the first floor that also offered bar food. We brought a Costco pepperoni pizza which was about 10 minutes away, so I can't comment on the food or bar service. The breakfast buffet was one of best hotel buffets that we've experienced in a super long time. The breakfast staff were on their A game keeping the area clean and restocked. The outside pool and hot tub looked so inviting! Several families were enjoying the outdoor facilities Friday night. Near the back entrance and pool area, there was a nice sized small gym to work out in. They needed to restock their sanitizing wipes because it was completely empty. I meant to let the staff know, but got tied up trying to unpack and catch a few winks before hitting the road again. We definitely will stay at this hotel again, but in an even numbered room facing the back of the hotel to hopefully mitigate any street racing and weekend noises.

The public areas spotless and the front desk staff we interacted with were wonderfully friendly and nice. We noticed the manager sweeping when it was needed. Our housekeeper, Karisma, kept our room looking clean and fully stocked with amenities. Breakfast had a wide variety and was a nice perk. I would recommend staying here if you were visiting Boise.

My daughter lives here, in Boise, so this will always be my go-to Hotel! Beautiful and classy design inside, the room was like a studio apartment and I always looked forward to spending time in there, when I wasn't out and about. Gym area has high tech equipment and I utilized the treadmill...which has Bluetooth to connect to your phone for music or whatnot. Equipped with: water station and cups, towels, cleaning wipes, and a charger for your phone, just in case. Loved the patio area, especially the "non fire" they turned on every night, very welcoming and enjoyed reading by it every night. The showers were not made with the best design, hence water everywhere. Free breakfast was phenomenal, not just the basic bagel, muffin, and juice. Staff were always cheerful and accommodating! Loved Tony, Alicia, and I think her name was Kate (?). She was young, probably 18-19 years old. There was one staff member who should not be there; Connor. Rude, stuffy, never acknowledged every time I walked through, so I tried to avoid going through the front doors. Will he stop me from enjoying this perfect hotel? Absolutely not, I'm a "lifer."

My daughter's around only had a hot water, so we were unable to bathe the baby anywhere in her room. All the showers have forceful water coming out so it hurts. What happened to the crispy bacon Marriott? I'm not even a meat eater, and I love the crispy bacon.

We're headed to Stanley tomorrow to hit four more hot springs and complete a six hot springs tour in four days. Thank you so much to the proprietors at Inn The Pines for making my birthday weekend as complete as it can be. You're amazing and we'll be back For sure! I would ask, recommend, a six foot across fire pit with wood provided if the space allows for folks to meat around and hang out after their individual soaks at the springs. The coffee tasted really watered down and weak not great if you actually need coffee to wake up in the morning. The biggest issue though was the water. The tap water left this really slippery, almost slimy feeling on your hands and skin that I could never get used to. We stayed there for 3 weeks, so it definitely wasn't a one-time thing. It actually got bad enough that I slipped getting out of the bathtub and hurt my wrist. My wrist was messed up for about 2 weeks afterward. When we mentioned it, they told us they had recently softened the water again, which explained a lot. Another thing people should know: if you prepay and end up needing to leave early, you may not get that prepaid money back. That was frustrating and something I wish we had known upfront. Not the worst place by any means, but definitely had some drawbacks especially for longer stays.
