Right when I walked in the hotel I was engulfed with the smell of curry. It was so strong that it made me nauseous. The manager literally said maybe 2 words during check in. Walk to my room and the key card doesn't work. Go back downstairs where I have to wait 20 minutes before they tell me they aren't able to program new key cards. She escorted me to me room and when I opened the door I basically just walked back downstairs and checked out. Stains every where and a comforting water damage on the ceiling above the bed. No thank you.

Pretty noisy hotel as far as people talking in the halls. The 2nd night we came back to a notice on the door that the water line was being worked on and there would be no water that night into the following morning. Went to take a shower and the drain is completely clogged and it doesn't drain at all. Small outdated tv with barely any channels. Fine for the price but would never stay here again. Editing to add that their shop is currently closed / under construction so if you want snacks or drinks I'd hit up a 711 or something nearby. They also don't have hot breakfast because their kitchen is closed and the pool is also closed.

Terrible hotel. We made our reservations for two families month or so ahead of time we got here and it's been a cluster since. They put a $400 incidence hold on your card. No receipts when you pay. They do not take cash probably too hard for front staff to count. They started to charge our card we held the room with when we told them that wasn't the card we were paying with. Front of motel staff had attitudes as pleasant as hemorrhoids. You would imagine for what you pay friendly staff and clean rooms. Not what you get here . Also they had some reception until 2am that music was so loud it was rattling our room door. We had to be up at 6 am for a meeting with Senator in D.C. we were very unhappy and unimpressed. Rooms with mold, stains, and other great surprises await you. Also hot tub wasn't hot. If you stay at this shit hole may the odds forever be in your favor. Don't say you weren't warned. The overcharged breakfast not worth it better off eating down the road. Definitely won't be staying here again any trip back any time soon this will definitely be a hotel I avoid and let other know to avoid.

    Decor was cute..

Hilton Garden Inn has yet to disappoint with the clean, cozy standard I've grown to associate them with. In DC, for our 80th Family Reunion LIKED~LIKED~LIKED~LIKED~LIKED~LIKED Buffet Breakfast Nice Hospitality Clean Catered Banquet Buffet was Tasty Disliked*-Disliked*-Disliked*-Disliked*-Dislike The Chocolate Cake (yuhhck) No Bellhop Cart; had to lug ALOT of luggage to the 6th floor, multiple trips..

I have to say that I was impressed that there was a nice little hotel like this tucked away in this area of Greenbelt. There are actually many choices if you decide to stay at a hotel in this area but I am very satisfied with my choice of staying here. Use technology to your advantage. A day before your check in you usually get a notice that you can electronically check in via an app or the old way of using a computer. This gives you a choice of rooms at the rate you picked and even sometimes allows you to choose a larger room. Excellent way of avoiding those rooms next to the elevator. I have used this e-check in at multiple Hilton locations with no problem. Parking was a bit packed as many people were staying here or there was overflow from the other hotels. There are signs saying for hotel guests only but who is actually checking every license plate out there and besides they never asked for mines in the first place. Still I managed to find decent parking. Upon entering the lobby it is very nice and people were enjoying wine and other adult beverages that can be purchased at the bar located in the hotel. If you want there is a TGiF within walking distance to wet your whistle. The lobby was very clean and well kept which leads me to think that maybe this hotel was remodeled recently. I just went to the front desk with my name and all was ready for me and it is a plus that I got my little bag of goodies (water, snacks) for being a HHonors member. Rooms were very clean and overall the hotel was very quiet leading to a good night's rest and relaxing stay. Besides TGiF that is within walking distance and the availability of food in the hotel you will need a ride to get to other destinations in the area. The Greenbelt Station servicing MARC and the DC Metro is a very nearby to take you to various destinations.

General Manager Holiday Inn Greenbelt…read more7200 Hanover Drive Greenbelt, MD 20770 I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a very serious incident that occurred during my stay at the Holiday Inn Greenbelt on the evening of May 13, 2026, between approximately 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. During our stay, another guest entered our room using a key that had been issued by the front desk. At the time, my girlfriend was in the process of dressing, making the situation extremely alarming, invasive, and unacceptable. This incident represented a serious breach of guest privacy and safety. After the guest exited the room, he returned to the front desk and spoke with a male employee working there. I immediately attempted to express my anger and concern regarding what had just happened, but I was dismissively waved off with a hand gesture. The employee then stated, "I gave him the key, everything's okay." That response was completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and showed a disturbing lack of concern for the seriousness of the situation. As a result of this incident, my girlfriend was extremely uncomfortable and had difficulty sleeping throughout the night. The following morning, on May 14, 2026, at approximately 9:10 AM while returning our room keys, I again addressed the matter with the front desk attendant. Her response was that she was already aware and that the employee "made a mistake." Unfortunately, she also displayed an attitude that came across as dismissive and unconcerned, which only added to our frustration. This experience fell far below the standards of professionalism, safety, and customer care that guests should reasonably expect from a hotel operating under the Holiday Inn brand. A hotel issuing a room key to the wrong guest is a serious security failure that should never occur. I expect a formal apology regarding this incident, as well as a full refund for our stay. I also strongly recommend that management review security procedures and camera footage related to this matter to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents from happening to future guests. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution I GOT NO RESOLUTION

The Starbucks is in fact, not opened.. some rooms do not include a simple microwave, etc. The common area/breakfast area is all within the same vicinity. "Breakfast" would be nothing but some apple and orange juice, hot bar of only tea hot water & coffee, and that's about it - just bagels, fruit & water. I will not be staying here for a third time.. they've done enough damage. The only reason this place did not receive 1-star is because the inside balcony was a nice additional. From the outside and far away, the hotel is appealing (see pictures).

We were able to close them at night and then we never got them open again. The room's closet was also small, but since this was a short trip it was okay. If you're here for longer or have more clothes you want to hang up, you'll have limited space and hangers and will have to use the dresser. The main complaint with the hotel is the walls are paper thin and guests seem to be up at all hours constantly. Our flight got in at midnight and I thought most people would be asleep. Nope! Going down the hallway to our room there were plenty of guests talking loudly. Our neighbors would have the TV on or playing music. Sometimes the volume was low, but could still be heard through the shared door between units. When our neighbors were feeling really courteous, they had loud music playing at 4am! Another room had tons of kids staying in it and I couldn't imagine how rowdy that experience must have been staying next door to them. Nothing wrong with kids, but these walls were not built to insulate sound at ANY capacity. Would not recommend staying here if you need a proper place to sleep since every guest seems to be up all at hours and noise carries everywhere.

Pros: Upon arrival, the front desk staff was polite and helpful. Checking in was easy. I stayed in a queen bed room. My room had a microwave, fridge and office table. A/C was somewhat functional. Also, there are plenty of parking spots. There is a supermarket and some food spots across the street if you get hungry. Cons: The hotel looks run down.
