Was in town for a business trip and stayed here. Very clean , the elevators worked which was great! There was parking which was good. Had free breakfast definitely a plus. The bed was really comfy the ac was perfect and the hot water was really hot which is important to me! Overall great service as well. read more

Just arrived and my kids were very excited to use the pool on this very warm day however...... it's probably the smallest and dirtiest pool I have experienced at any hotel I've stayed at. So dirty my kids wouldn't even go in! The rooms are meh, and the shower dirty. So far I'm over it let's see if anything changes my mind! read more

The best thing about this Hilton is the employees. John on afternoon shift on 5/31 was fabulous and helpful. We checked in and our room was so full of perfume smell that we couldn't stay in room. We went back downstairs and John found us another room and helped us check to make sure it would be suitable. The tile floor is soft and bouncy like the subflooring is not good. The tile floor in bathroom and entryway to room is cracked and very worn/scratched. The shower head had mineral deposits and sprayed in weird directions with poor water pressure. The carpet was torn and curled up, also pretty worn out. Overall, pretty worn out Hilton - I won't choose this one even to save money. read more

Stayed here recently with my partner as we drove through on our way back home from visiting family, we stayed in room 214 which is directly above the sliding door in the lobby and it should not be a guest room. The mechanism that opens the door shakes the floor in the room and makes a very loud noise that makes it impossible to sleep. When I asked to switch rooms, the employee working the front desk made a snarky comment to me before helping me switch rooms. Overall, not a great experience here, I can't say that I would choose to stay here again. read more

This was the BIGGEST disappointment in all my Hilton stays EVER!! Not only did they charge my card $238 (even though I pre-paid the room) BUT the room and gym were VERY dirty!!!! We drove in from CO around midnight on a Friday night and I was TOO tired to call about how DIRTY the floors and shower walls were. We had stayed at the Denver Hilton the night before and maybe we were expecting PRISTINE like that hotel but Lubbock's location was FAR less than mediocre. Our plan was to hit the road to SA early so we just needed to sleep. I told the manager in the morning and he did apologize. I asked if they were short staffed and he said no. Well I thought I would be done with that disgusting hotel but it's now 2 weeks later and they have yet to refund my money they charged my card even though two of the "supervisors" have comforted they mistakenly charged me. Do yourself a favor and try any other hotel! This is at a Motel 6 level at best and I'm sure they would have done way better!! read more

Multiple vehicles were broken into the night of my stay. Apparently this is an ongoing problem. You should know despite being an ongoing problem, there is no security guard and no security cameras facing the parking lot. There are no security cameras facing the exterior side doors. I frequent Home2Suites when traveling because they offer a lot of value. Today while staying at the Lubbock property I was DELIGHTED! Checked in late after spending the day at my sons college graduation ceremony & dinner. Arrived freezing cold due to the low temps in Lubbock. Asked if there was coffee and because it was late in the evening the really friendly guy at the front desk told me they didn't. i was disappointed but it made sense. It's late. About 15 minutes later while settling in my room that same friendly front desk guy (DEE) showed up at my door with a hot cup of coffee...just for me! My husband and I were so appreciative for the personal concern DEE showed us. Customer service to this level is rare but ALWAYS APPRECIATED. THANK YOU SO MUCH! read more

I stay here every time I come through Lubbock for work, which is pretty regular. The reason I always come back is, 1. Dee, that works the front desk is awesome. He makes you feel like you're running into one of your old friends every time you show up. His customer service is outstanding. I feel like he should be the head guy of a resort somewhere. I am a regular guest in this Hilton chain. I have stayed in Home2s in San Antonio, Billings MT Denver airport etc. 7stays in the last 6 Months. This Franchise is definitely way below the Hilton standard. Front Desk Clerk is dishonest. Entryways cards are malfunctioning ,room was poorly cleaned. We asked the front desk for bottles of water (usually complementary) and were told they just ran out. Another guest in line with me volunteered that they are always out. Clerk told me my card was the problem with opening the door. She later admitted that it has been broken for weeks. There are at least 3 other recent reviews that outline front desk issues. I'll spare you the details on the cleaning. Home2 is a good chain but this franchise operator should be removed Avoid this location!!!! read more

We found this one in Lubbock and we can't believe it's the same chain. We will never stay in one of these again. The wife and I were here for a three night stay to visit family in Lubbock. We usually stay at the Embassy Suites, but they were booked and we prefer to stay within the Hilton chain for the points. The hotel is newer and nice. Staff are very pleasant and polite. The breakfast is a mixed bag. The coffee is surprisingly good, but the breakfast is basically microwave your own breakfast sandwich...reminds me of the old 7-11's. The kitchenette has a surprisingly large refrigerator and microwave. However doesn't have a stove or oven so you really can't cook--just nuke. When we come back to Lubbock, I'll try the Embassy Suites first, Homewood Suites second, and here third. read more

We had stayed at one of these properties in IL and had an amazing experience. Unfortunately this property is much older than that one and in need of some repairs and updates. 3 stars because every staff member was incredibly nice. 2 stars for the hotel itself. Review reflects our stay for 4 nights June 23-27. Unfortunately the room and facilities were lacking. We had a king suite with pullout sofa. My 2 teenage boys were sharing the pullout sofa. The frame of the bed was broken, they said engineering would come by but they never did. We had some broken floor tiles in our bathroom laying on the ground and the door to our room was not aligned and very difficult to open/close, had to basically use whole body weight to wedge the door open. The pool was so cloudy I wouldn't allow my family to swim in it. It was being heavily used while we were there but it was disgusting to us. Laundry facilities are 2 washers and dryers. One dryer was marked broken but after trying to use the one that was supposed to be working it was clear it was broken as well. The staff did let me dry my clothes in their industrial dryer after I'd tried drying my clothes for 2 hours. Texas is wide open so I'm not sure why they still have the limited breakfast for Covid. Other hotels in the area had full hot breakfasts, this one has dry cereal, bagels, and some breakfast sandwiches you can microwave, yogurts and some fruit. They have a waffle station but that is still not open. At check-in my estimated charge didn't match my reservation so they corrected it, however at checkout my folio was still incorrect by a different dollar amount so I called hotel and they changed it again. Again the staff was all very nice and courteous. However this hotel is not consistent with the Hilton brand expectations. A positive of this hotel is that the location is in close proximity to many stores, restaurants, Target, and easy freeway access. read more

We are Hilton reward members and always stay at Hilton chain when possible. We have been traveling and staying in hotels in three different states for the past few weeks, this is the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Hard to believe it's part of the Hilton chain. We stayed in a Home 2 in Arizona a few nights prior to this one and they were adamant about us not checking in until our room was inspected and signed off on being clean and sanitized. That certainly was not the case at this hotel. Lipstick on the broken bathroom door. Shower floor was black, couch was stained, crumbs on the carpet, a cigarette butt laying in the hallway, shower was covered in water spots and finger prints. I learned a lesson and will be checking reviews from now on and not just depend on the chain name. read more

I just finished my week long stay at this hotel. It is a pretty nice newer hotel but the breakfast was the best part. However, the shower was terrible. Had WARM water for like 5 minutes and then it was pretty cold. Could also hear EVERY step on the floor above us. It actually woke me up in the morning. We explained the hot water situation to the front a couple of times and they were kind of like "oh yeah, sorry I'm not sorry." The hotel itself is nice, modern and trendy. The service is OK. Staff seems to be uncomfortable. Two employees walking around this morning without uniforms (or they were well covered) one came walking in with his take out order and started eating where I could see him. The only person who seemed to be working was the breakfast attendant who was VERY nice. Breakfast on the other hand was NOT GOOD AT ALL!! I stay at Hilton predominantly and the breakfasts are usually pretty good but this ... this felt like a 7-11 microwave cuisine counter. Pick out your item and microwave. There are pictures around the hotel, in your room and online showing these wonderful looking breakfasts and the "400" different ways you can make them. However that is NOT what was offered here. What we got were microwavables like Jimmy Dean sausage on a bun and scrambled eggs in plastic. Microwaved eggs taste like rubber and the people who tried them when you add melting plastic onto it, well you can imagine what it's like. Just to be clear I was here with a group for a meeting. There were multiple complaints about the breakfast. Those looking for fruit were disappointed with a limited choice (bananas or oranges). This is not the typical Hilton but they charge like it. I am beyond disappointed with the concept and will avoid staying at Hiltons Home2 Suites in the future. One final note, the young lady at the check out desk when I left was the nicest person I encountered during my stay. read more

Very clean and very spacious in the studio suites. The room air condition rocked . There is enough room for a crib or air mattress with the pullout couch bed out. The staff was very friendly . This will be our destination for games and parent weekends. Downside - The wireless on the 4th floor was terrible. It dropped every 5-10 minutes. The hallways had no air conditioning and was way to hot. Unfortunately this weekend only one elevator worked. read more

I wish I could leave no stars for this hotel. My 17 year old daughter stayed here with my parents over the 4th of July holiday. My parents left to head back to Austin and I was coming from Amarillo to pick up my daughter. She is almost 18 so leaving her alone for a couple of hours is not a big deal. However, at 11 exactly, housekeeping knocked on the door and told my daughter she had to get out. My daughter told her I was on the way and the housekeeper said she needed to clean the room and it was time for her to get out. So my daughter had to leave the room and go wait for me. Luckily I showed up just a few minutes later but that does not matter. What matters is the housekeeper had absolutely no right to kick anyone out of the room. I guess they thought since it was a teenager it was ok to treat her like that. The fact my daughter was treated so poorly is appalling to me and it is sad this hotel employees that kind of person. Needless to say I will tell everyone I know to never stay at this hotel. read more

This place rocks. My plumbing in my house is broken so I am currently living in hotels in my own city of Lubbock. When I checked in I told the front desk my situation and asked if there were any possible upgrades. They did! I got the King suite. It has a kitchen table,a living room, Full size fridge, dishwasher, a nice modern bathroom, 2 TV's, and a really comfy bed. I walked in and felt that I could exhale and finally relax a little. It feels like a staycation. Their pool is really nice and the breakfast was yummy and convenient. I am about to go work out in their really clean work out area. All of the staff has been super friendly and I feel taken care of here. I would recommend this as a great place to stay! It is also nice that the location has your right next to a target, starbucks, and tons of eateries including Saltgrass Steakhouse. read more

I've stayed in several Home 2 Suites across Texas and have always enjoyed the rooms and the personnel. The breakfasts are a bit lacking, but then again, this isn't a 5-star resort. I stayed at the Lubbock H2S's because I was traveling with my (extremely well-behaved) puppy (who never barks or makes noise in hotels). I booked first through Hilton Honors, then again for a reward night through hotels.com. I checked in Wednesday night and was booked through Saturday morning. Despite me taking my dog to work for 4-5 hours at a time each day and the "do not disturb" sign being removed from the door, I received absolutely no housekeeping services throughout my stay. I understand they have "light touch" housekeeping for short stays (like I said, not my first rodeo with this chain of hotels), but my room received no attention whatsoever - no trash take out, no replaced towels, nothing. Both Thursday and Friday mornings when I was leaving, the housekeeping crew was outside my door. I remained hopeful each time, to no avail. By Friday morning, I was in desperate need of some freshness in the room (especially since all trash cans were full), so I called down to the front desk around 9:30 or 10:00 am to ensure housekeeping would be by. The guy who answered replied that it would "be no problem" for them to clean my room. I returned to my room with my pet Friday night around 8:00 pm and guess what? The room still had the same over-flowing trash cans and several dirty towels. I was so disgusted, I called some friends to crash at their place. As I was packing up my car, the guy at the front desk (not sure if he was the same one I called earlier that day) asked, "Did you have a good stay?" I replied I did not, that I never received housekeeping services and let him know my room number. Despite the Home 2 Suite's promise that is posted in their lobbies of "guaranteeing your stay" and "making your stay right", this guy did nothing. I didn't even get an apology. So, out of the many, many other hotels in Lubbock that are more reasonably priced than this one where I don't have to pay a non-refundable $75.00 pet deposit, I will in the future choose another business and urge my traveling department of ten (10) coworkers to do the same. read more

Stayed with my daughters the 1st night they were open. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Many amenities not available for comparable price. Liked the fact that rooms had abundance of towels. Would have liked to have christened the fire pit had it not rained that evening. And although didn't take advantage of it, they're pet friendly up to a certain size. Would definitely stay here again when in Lubbock even if I wasn't a HiltonHonors member. read more

Beware! Cold showers in the morning. Not a great way to start your morning. We have stayed here twice and experienced the same thing both times . When you complain there is not much of an apology or solution. They are obviously aware of the issue. Not what I expect when paying $250 for a room.
