They gave us a great room on the 11th floor with beach views. Ah, paradise.

Booked one night (6/30). We "pre-checked in" at 12:00 noon. Got a text from the hotel at 2:00 PM that our rooms were ready. Got there at 5:30. Check in was at 4:00. Was told that the rooms were not ready yet. Had to sit in the lobby waiting for the rooms to get ready. After 15 minutes, was told they were ready. Reservation was for two rooms, one king size bed and the other with double beds. Asked for adjoining rooms. The rooms both had king size beds and were not adjoining (not sure what their definition of adjoining is but the rooms did not "connect" via an inner door). Was told that they had no other rooms available. And to "make it up to us they gave us vouchers for a free dessert (with one paid entree). Wow. Just wow. read more

This hotel was the worst hotel ever. There were so many things wrong with it, it was a disgrace they make money off of the room conditions. My stay at the hotel was from June 15th thru June 24th. Just to name a few issues, (which by the way I have taken pictures), partially painted walls that you can see the brush marks across the whole wall, partially painted ceiling that they didn't use the texture on to match the rest of the ceiling, chip paint on the wall, totally rusted bathroom fixture, outlets didn't work, light bulbs out, outlet falling off the wall in the bathroom thank goodness I didn't get electrocuted etc. In addition, they placed drunken kids next door who were loud, drunk, smoking which came into our room which caused us to keep our patio doors closed, had a dog which barked all night etc. Upon checking out I reported the room issues to the supervisor and I was told the manager would be calling me to discuss the issues by 3:45 that afternoon. Needless to say that phone call never happened. This hotel needs major work and it is sad the rate they charge for such a low end hotel. I thought Radisson was a better brand, but my experience shows it is compatible to staying at a Red Roof Inn or Travelodge grade. I have taken pictures of everything and showed this to the front desk staff and supervisor and even offered to go back to the room so they can see it and both refused. Pictures don't lie. Absolutely terrible. No one should have to pay Radisson prices for a Red Roof Inn brand of rooms. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE read more

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and will continue to stay here for one specific reason.....the service is phenomenal. The hotel is great too...don't get me wrong, great location right on the ocean, great food and bar, spacious and clean rooms. However, I have yet to meet an employee there that hasn't gone out of their way to assist. One specific employee I would like to recognize is Betty Rae in the restaurant. If you are lucky enough to sit at her table, you will notice right away her excellent service and outgoing friendly personality. She definitely makes you feel welcomed and even gave us 2 cold bottles of water because she knew we were going out on the beach for a walk. It is service like this that will keep us coming back. read more

My sister had her wedding reception here last week. Most guests flew in from the Netherlands and we came from Arizona so we all stayed more than just the reception night (i.e. our group spent quite a bit of money here). My husband, son and I were there for 5 nights. At check-in we were directed to our "oceanview room with 2 double beds". I had booked 3 months prior to the date and spoke with call agent Joanna at time of booking to request a King bed. My husband and I are not going to spend a vacation in separate beds. Weird. Joanna assured me she "put the note in to the system for a king" and I was informed at check-in that no, the request is just a "preference" and not "guaranteed". Consider yourself warned. Thankfully Front Desk Supervisor Andrew was able to arrange things to get us a king room. He also let us know that parking was $8/day whereas we were told it was complimentary as part of the wedding booking. He looked again and said yes, we were right, it would be free. If I had not questioned it I guess it would have been on our bill. We went up to the room (2701) and were dismayed to find the "oceanview" was actually only an ocean view if you were able to crane your neck around. From inside the room, the view was of headlights coming down A1A. There was also gum in the carpet and within 10 minutes of crawling around my son's knees and tops of his feet were black. I take that to mean they vacuum but don't deep clean too frequently. We were brought a pack-n-play that was very dirty from toddlers sucking on the top side padding and not being cleaned. Some OxyClean and a scrub brush would fix that situation but no one cared enough to do so. After some conversations between my mother, sister and the Hilton wedding coordinator, the next morning we were moved to 2707 which was on the end and had a much nicer view. Unfortunately the balcony was rendered unusable by the flock of pigeons occupying it. There was pigeon fecal matter everywhere. At check out we were asked if everything was great, I said there were pigeons roosting on the balcony, and I was asked "Well did that affect your use of it?" Um, YES, we tend to avoid drinking our coffee among bird feathers and animal feces. Why even ask if you're not intending to take a night off our bill or something? Other Negatives: - I think my sister will probably write her own review cause she was so mad, but the cleaning staff after the reception threw out her custom-ordered wedding cake topper. Who does that? Hilton hosts wedding receptions all the time, don't you think the bride and groom might want to keep the cake topper? Outrageous. I was upset for my sister. I still am. No, it's not the cost of it, it's the sentimental value. Yes, they can custom-order another one but it still isn't the one that was on their wedding cake. And they shouldn't have to go to the trouble. Why would staff throw it in the garbage? - The water temperature out of the faucets is truly DANGEROUS. You know how at your house you can set the water heater to a max safety temp? Hilton has not done this. I almost burned myself by turning on the shower to halfway between H and C (which is a reasonable temperature at every other hotel I've stayed at). It was way too hot. And I like my showers hot. But this is really dangerous if you have a child who can turn on the water themselves. A bad accident waiting to happen. - They charge $25/day + tax to rent 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. I saw the Radisson doing the same thing but still, it's a cheap move by a major hotel chain. Be like Southwest Airlines. Don't nickel & dime people for everything and you'll be rewarded with their loyalty. - A/C did not work in the hallways or elevator, at least on the 7th floor. Started sweating as soon as we left the room. Positives: - Staff (front desk & housekeeping) was friendly. - Check-out is at noon which is more convenient than many other hotels I've stayed at. - Fridge is empty so you can bring your own beverages and cold food. - Good location. Stay away from the rocky beaches around Satellite/Pelican Beach and the tourist-filled Cocoa Beach. But not a far drive to Ron Jon's or Kennedy. Close enough to Bizzaro's and 5th Ave. - Free Wi-Fi. Tips: - Forget the beach bar. Ridiculous prices for lightly-poured drinks (if you want to pay $20 for 2 strawberry margaritas that taste like smoothies then have at it). I recommend going across the street to Wal-Mart, buy a $7 styrofoam cooler and a $2 bag of ice and use the remaining $11 to have at it. You'll get more than 2 drinks for that $20 and they'll stay cold and be as strong as you want them. - When you're trying to calculate how much the stay will cost, take what the reservation says and remember to add an extra $34/day to cover parking and the chair & umbrella rental. read more

Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront - Filthy Pack-n-Play we were brought. No excuse not to clean these, Hilton! - Hotels Near Me - Melbourne, Florida

This review is for the restaurant only. We attended the buffet on Christmas Day. It was without question the worst meal I have ever had. The line was long and when we finally got to the food it was picked over, cold or the platters empty and not being replenished. The "Prime Rib" was raw. Shrimp was horrible. The dessert table ran out of all selections but two. The one star was for our waitress, who tried to get our drinks in a timely fashion which was difficult as they were understaffed. To make matters worse, the staff began breaking the tables down while people were still eating. I expected more from a Hilton and a $35.00 buffet. I am glad we didn't stay at the hotel as it is very dated and unkempt looking. read more

It was overrun by dogs... Literally.... The place reaked of cigarettes and it had loads of dogs. I will never stay there agian. The drinks by the pool were great and outside was nice, but if you are going to sleep there, I would think about this twice. My room smelled like chain smokers were there for days, and lots of dogs. read more

Traveled to Melbourne on business with 3 other colleagues this past week and this is what we experienced. Hotel: Right off A1A, easy entrance, parking was sufficient. There are two towers, GET THE NEWER ONE! Apparently the older one is having serious pipe problems where you will be awaken at 6am by extremely loud bells and whistles. The older tower also have huge gaps at the sealing of the doors, privacy please. My room was in the newer tower did not have a gapping hole. I stayed in a 5th floor room with a fridge, shower (not a bath), and a great view of the ocean. The rooms are huge with tons of room, big enough I did a couple insanity workouts in the open space. The view is at an angle rather than looking straight out onto the ocean, great view none the less. Surrounding hotels have rooms just facing the ocean (i think i would prefer) co-worker said he likes the Double Tree way better. I read the pool is always at 82 degrees, I would have taken advantage if it wasn't soo cold! the one week it's cold in Florida is during my stay, go figure! Was in town for business so the sun was barely up by the time I left and already down when I came back, thankfully my flight back on Friday was at 12pm so I had the morning to stroll the beach. The beach is literally steps from the hotel (definite plus) at 9am on a Friday morning just me a handful of people were on it. For a cali kid on the beach for the first time in Florida #1 shells! the whole beach was covered with shells! Awesome! california beaches shells are far and inbetween. Granted that I was wearing my boots on the beach (because it was cold and windy) I think if I was strolling bare foot the mass quantities of the shells although beautiful would have been a pain to walk on. Now shells are not everywhere but there are heavily concentrated areas near the hard packed sand near the water. The sand itself was very fine, I'd imagine would be great to sunbath in warmer weather. Hopefully I'll be able to come back and do another review then. Service: And the rolling complaints that the 4 of us had accumulated this past week. Being awaken and 6am because of faulty pipes is ridiculous, all 3 coworkers in different levels of the older tower were awoken by the same problem! One co-worker requested a fridge and was not given one and after a couple days of calling she was given another room. One co-worker complained about the ridiculous noise and was moved to another room (in the older tower that didn't have the noise) he got 2 free drink tickets. Another co-worker wanted to take a bath but the stopper was broken she called to get it fixed, then her heater was broken called to get it fixed but it could not get fixed and she had to switch rooms. We had complimentary breakfast from our company, I just started the Atkins diet and the selection they had at the buffet was nill, then again if you're going to restrict your diet like the atkins, what do you expect. I ordered omelets with veggies. To be more healthy i ordered egg white omelets. Reading the breakfast menu in my room I noticed they had tofu veggies so I ordered that in the dining hall and was told they had no tofu (why have something on the menu and not have it!!!). There were 3-4 servers at any given time they were prompt in getting your drink order and after that you have to catch them, the trick is to order your omelet as soon as they seat you. Consensus is: We would not stay at the Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront again, especially since the Raddison / Double Tree seem to be a better choice. read more

Love this place; I faithfully return yearly. The hotel is clean, the food is delish, the location is picture-perfect and the staff is most friendly. Hats off to the manager, Wendy, who did her best to accommodate me after my somewhat early arrival. Yes, I highly recommend this place. And yes, the will most certainly see me again next year. Stayed here for a work trip, was lucky enough to coincide with a rocket launch at Kennedy; we sat in the outdoor bar area and watched while having a light dinner. All rooms (I think) are ocean front), staff was great! Breakfast buffet is free if you are a hilton honors Gold or higher, The chef there I think his name is Sammy made the best Omelet my coworker had ever had (he travels alot) and my Poached eggs were absolutely perfect! Be sure to order one of these from the waitstaff, it is part of the buffet. read more

Used the Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront for a luncheon for clients and guests yesterday. Fed about 80 and everything went off without a hitch! Kudos to the entire catering staff and management. Kudos as well to the chefs and kitchen staff. With 4 luncheon selections, everything was served like it was a 5 star restaurant. We will 100% use this facility again. read more

The Jazz brunch. I am a local and this was my 2nd visit to this Hotel,3rd overall. 2/13/2011 They have a wonderful flyer and they advertise some great food but in reality, it should read "as long as the food last's". At $24 a pop and being a buffet, there should be enough to last at least during the posted hours. We arrived for our 12.30 reservation 15 minutes early and were seated at 12.40. The brunch last's until 2pm, but the featured item..."Herb Encrusted Aged angus Roast Beef"...barely made it past 1pm. They started to bring in this cheap 1" steak and started slicing it.If I wanted cheap steak, I would have gone to Golden Corral at $11 a pop.The advertised "Garlic Mashed potatoes", ended up being rice pilaf. I did send an email expressing my dissatisfaction and it went unanswered after a few weeks now. I figured I would at least try and give them the opportunity to reply with some sort of excuse or at least a canned apoligy but that did not happen. They must have run out of those as well. The jazz itself was nice, but the volume was a little too much that you could not carry on a conversation at your table. read more

A clean room and a friendly staff. What more do I need to say. Oh there is a great view of the ocean from the rooms as well. We arrived 2 hrs or so before our check in time, no problem they said. They had a room available and let us check In early. read more

I've been staying with Hilton for the past few years but this experience was the worst. I called on Thursday to to book a room for Saturday, I had a complimentary one night stay and I told the person I was booking the room, they never told me that there was an issue or anything of that. On Saturday I call to confirm and to see if I can do an early check in, I was told that the room is not ready and I was fine with that. After I drove for an hour and a half to get to the hotel I was so that it was a blackout date and that they would not honor my gift certificate! When I asked the lady at the front desk why wasn't I told this when I booked the room or when I called to confirm my reservation she simply told me I guess someone forgot to look at the memo. my whole weekend was ruined. read more

I recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel. I was in town for my cousin's wedding which was hosted at the hotel. I was extremely pleased with my stay and how they handled all the wedding festivities. The staff went above and beyond to make the reception, and transitions between, flawless. The hotel was very accommodating. The morning of they wedding, they even allowed me to check in WAY before check-in time in order to get out of the bridal suite. The only room available was not what I had originally reserved so, the following day, they allowed me to switch to the ocean front room I had booked. No questions asked. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly, went out of their way to do EVERYTHING we asked, and to make our stay as pleasant as it could be. The hotel rooms and grounds were very beautiful, well kept, and clean. read more

This was an excellent choice for us. My wife and I decided to go on a quick get away and we stayed in this hotel. It was great. This is a wonderful hotel, principally because of the staff, who are genuinely friendly and excellent at what they do. They really care about the guests. Just the fact that I learned so many of their names as they helped us through our stay, is testimony. Even though "KD" is not on housekeeping staff, she replied to our housekeeping request and like a real team player, made up our room and was friendly, warm and enthusiastic. "Anne" in the restaurant remembered me from several months after our previous stay and is such fun to have a conversation with. "Lydell" was our first contact with this Hilton and he is awesome - kind and a true professional - a perfect ambassador to the Hilton Melbourne. "Gigi" in housekeeping made our room very comfortable and was caring and reliable. And "Karl" at the bar is terrific - authentically friendly and exceptionally good making sure everyone is served and on a timely basis. He's also a great ambassador for the place. They all made it a really great place to stay. My husband and I travel a lot and the fun and caring staff at Hilton Melbourne makes this hotel a stand out. read more

What a fantastic experience we had at this beautiful oceanfront hotel! We had a family emergency, and they were so understanding and helpful at such a difficult time. The shuttle driver Sabino was such a huge help with recommendations for our family, and making sure we ate at good places to keep our strength up, and even took me to walmart! We are very pleased to have stayed at such a nice, caring hotel and will always remember there kindness and stay there again, hopefully for vacation and not family emergency. The Hilton Melbournce Beach Oceanfront is, for all intents and purposes, a great hotel at a great value (as are all Hiltons / Doubletrees). However, this particular hotel staff was very easily confused. My mom and I both had reservations under our mutual last name (at the time, I wasn't yet married, so my mom and I had the same last name). I had specifically requested a room that faced the ocean. When my mom and dad checked in before me, they were given my room (our first names are different, but I can understand getting confused) and I was given theirs at checkout. We were told this would be handled in the morning, but it never really was. They continued confusing us in terms of our checkout times, how many days we were staying, etc. It got to the point where my mom and I just had to laugh about it. The hotel was nice and the service was ok. We just wish they could have figured out we were two different paying customers at some point. The shuttle driver was the nicest member of the staff, though the rest of them were not rude at all. Just maybe slightly incompetent. read more

Not impressed. I travel all over the country for business and stay at Hilton brand hotels whenever I can. I am currently a Diamond member with Hilton and primarily try and stay at Embassy Suites because it's the best bang for the buck: all rooms are suites, the managers free drink special (liquor, wine, and beer) every night from 5:30 to 7:30PM (in most places), and a full kitchen for complimentary breakfast in the morning. Not to mention they are typically partnered with high quality restaurants (Ruth's Crist for example). Recently, I've been staying at Doubletree Hotels -another Hilton brand, because ES hotels weren't available In the areas I was working (Orlando/Melbourne, FL) and unfortunately I booked 3 nights at this one. Staff are kind, attentive, and friendly but the hotel itself is not far from being a dive. Antiquated, cheap furnishings and room decor. Definitely not up to par with Hilton's most recent renovation efforts nation wide. Reading some of the other reviews, I guess it makes sense now knowing this hotel used to be a Quality Inn or some other non-Hilton brand chain at one time. In fact, all the rooms are exposed to the outside and require accessing them from an outside entryway -more commonly found with motels than hotels. This just gives it more of a "cheap" ghetto look and feel than what I'm accustomed to with Hilton brand hotels. The rooms are, again, cheaply decorated and furnished. Mostly wicker and typical "condo" furniture that looks like it was left over from the Quality Inn days. The walls are very thin. You can hear "everything" coming from the adjoining rooms and sleeping on the road is already a challenge when traveling for business. The lobby, restaurant, and pool bar all need a major face lift to bring it up to Hilton standards. The wall texturing, colors, and decor are dated and in dire need of maintenance. The pool bar had a very limited food menu selection -typical bar food and the beer selection -nothing more riskier than Heineken among a handful of domestics. Most surprising though was that all the beers were served from cans! No draft or bottles because apparently this hotel has a pool and unlike other hotels with pools, guests are not trusted with bottles in this one. There is an assortment of liquors but I couldn't comment on wines. About the only thing going for this hotel is its proximity to the beach and that all the rooms face said beach. Needless to say, I booked 3 nights here before coming, I got here late Monday night around 9PM on 2/17/14 and I'll be checking out in the morning looking for another Hilton brand hotel in Melbourne worth spending my corporate dollars at. What a disappointment. read more

Hilton does it again! Great property! We arrived without a reservation. We got lucky because they sell out nightly. The front desk was extremely accommodating to show me rooms because some of the social media reviews weren't kind, which is unfair. I travel frequently for business and used to be an airline deck member, so hotels are important to me. This is indeed a top notch Hilton property undergoing renovations in the last two years. We found everything to be of Hilton caliber. Please note if you stay in the north tower, the porches are narrow not allowing furniture outside, but these are best for uninhibited ocean views in my opinion. If you stay in the south tower facing north on the lower levels, you will see the roof below of the building while looking out over to the ocean. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I am a hotel 'snob.' Just for planning purposes, there is a nominal fee for using the parking lot. Come. Enjoy. Relax. It happens here. read more

Well, I stayed here twice now. First experience up on 11th floor was pretty good. Didn't really have many issues. Restaurant is kind of dead. Pool and little Tiki Bar are good. 2nd experience had several issues on 6th floor. As I walked into room, it had an odor and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. They say it is non-smoking , but someone must have been smoking out on the balcony and it crept back in. Asked for it to be deodorized and nothing was done. There were about 3 broken pant hanger hinges and I had to get new ones and ask for more shirt hangers. Never got the shirt hangers. Also, the maid didn't give me any stirrers and didn't replace the coffee filter which was odd. One phone had no dial tone. The bathroom door didn't stay; it kept moving. The floor area was sticky and they never mopped it, even after I asked. Maid did take my lens cleaning cloth that i also use for my cell. Not sure why she threw that out. It's not a tissue. Finally the manager returned after being away and I changed rooms. The new room didn't have the stale cigarette odor so that worked out. They gave me a complimentary meal (gratuity not included), but I already have meals paid and the restaurant is a ghost town. Checked-out and no one asked about my experience. At least the room I moved to didn't have an odor. Seems like the maid team needs to improve on quality control. Could be a great hotel if they would do a better job. 2nd room and the first experience gets 4 stars. One last thing..use the top soap dish, not the lower one. The soap slides off the lower one and will land on your toe! Rooms do have nice views so I am hoping this was just a bad room and maid had an off day or off days. read more

The appearance of the Hotel has gone down in the last 2 years the front glass door was shattered, and the sidewalks blocked off and being sloppy painted with very toxic smelling paint. Also painting the stair wells and door frames near the elevators. Our room was not cleaned one day and had to call house keeping to come clean at 7 pm while we were in the room. One of the biggest problems however is the pool area, the property has a toy box for kids. Sounds like a good Idea, till the water squirters shot by a child goes into your $8 drink you just bought at the tiki bar. or the Volleyball that hits you in the back of the head while talking to your wife. The pool is out of control. Here is the fix- take and get rid of all pool toys, it is too small for that, have a pool monitor to baby sit the unruly kids, and make sure the people in the pool are not off the beach. Keep infants with diapers out of the pool, that is unsanitary and dangerous. The views are awesome and location pretty good, the rooms are a tired hello with boring art, pop some color and get some different wall art, a few changes would make a huge difference, but with the location it will probably just get ran into the dirt. Sad 2 years ago we loved this place, now I doubt we will return or recommend it ever again, and it drags the Double tree brand down! read more

First off, I have to laugh @DN's review....umm the hotel does have signs in their parking lot that says they are not responsible for items left in your car that are stolen. Also, people should use their noggin and not leave valuables in their cars. Lastly, the hotel is not responsible for cleaning up the glass from your car, they did not break into your car. You parked in their parking lot and you left valuables in your car. Now, on to my review of this hotel. It's near the ocean, the mini waffles at breakfast are awesome. We had a great room with a view of the ocean, a little disappointed that we did not have a full balcony, but was nice that we could open the sliding doors and hear the ocean. My wife and I love the sound of the ocean. I will say when we went to breakfast, first day waitress and service was great, the next day sat in a different section and had a different waitress who was not on the ball. She was slow and took her forever to get water for us. However, all in all a nice stay and we enjoyed our time there. UPDATE: My original review the manager Erin P commented that they hope we stay there again and be worthy of 5 stars. We stayed here again in January but still only giving four stars. The restaurant service was better but housekeeping was a mess!!! Left a note asking for extra towels and that we were short of TP, when we came back later that day, got extra towels but no TP, the next day, left note asking for the same extras and the opposite happened, got extra TP but no extra towels. read more

As a Hilton Diamond Member, I am a little disappointed. The hotel is nice, and the staff is pleasant, but the pool is pretty small for the size of the hotel. The beach would have been nice, but the "Red Tide" caused us to cough constantly so we couldn't be outside at all. At least the rooms are clean, since we spent most of our time there. The balcony is tiny, but we couldn't use that either. There is no Concierge lounge, so instead of getting free beer, wine, and appetizers in the lounge like at other Hilton properties (like Tampa), we got a coupon for 1 drink each...not per night. We were given breakfast vouchers, but it only entitled us to the continental breakfast (grits, cereals, breads, fruit) so we had to pay an additional $5 each to get the whole buffet each day. Parking is an extra $8 per day. There was a hold on our credit card for $30/night for "unforeseen incidentals." It just came off as a little cheap. I am also a Marriott Platinum Member, and given a choice in the future, I will stick to Marriott. read more

I stay here every few weeks for business. I choose to stay here over other hotels in the area because the staff has always been friendly and helpful and my rooms have always been exceptionally clean. This hotel staff needs no customer training. Everyone from Amber at the Front Desk to Joy in Housekeeping to Kim in the restaurant provided stellar customer service - enough for me to remember them long after I left. Luckily, I usually get good service at the hotels that I've stayed before but the Hilton staff tops the list. They are genuinely great happy people who really went out of their way to make me feel special. The rooms are nice and clean but how the hotel staff made me feel made my day. Normally, that will garner 5 stars from me but there were a couple things that need improvement. Mainly, the Wi-Fi connection in the upper floors was intermittent and weak to say the least. Most of the time, I just didn't bother connecting since I didn't really need to do any work from the room. If you need good Wi-Fi connection, ask for it at the Front Desk so they can assign a room with strong connection. The other issue I had was that the eggs benedict with seafood at Ocean Grille was very salty. It was barely edible. I thought about sending it back but I needed to get to work so I ate it but regretted not getting the breakfast buffet. If you are on a low sodium diet, get the buffet so you can taste a little before having to commit to an entire entrée. The beach is literally right outside the hotel pool area so it was fabulous to play in the waves after a long day. Overall, an excellent hotel experience. read more

Stayed for a wedding. With the name Hilton I had high expectations but was disappointed. Stayed in a room with 3 other people with two double beds. The beds were very small - very cramped for two people definitely not queen size. With two double beds you would think the hotel would assume that there is going to be 4 people staying in the room, or at the least 2. So the fact that there was 1 nightstand, 1 outlet near the bed (once you unplug the lamp, that is), and two towels doesn't seem logical. It's 2016 and everyone has a phone charger to plug in, but nowhere to plug them in here evidently. Had to ask for more towels too. These things just seem logical to have to me but who knows. Staff was great, and everything was very clean. Loved the ocean view and the pool. Was very disappointed by the accommodies in the room considering the name of the hotel read more

My husband and I checked in on March 7, 2013 for 4 nights. The hotel is very nice with large secure rooms (we are in our late 60's). We had an ocean view. The cost was almost $200 a night. When I questioned WHY my estimated bill (which you receive the first night) was over $200 more than I was quoted on line, I was told it was a "buffer for their security" (in case I watched movies, ordered room service, etc. and skipped out). Ok...... I can understand that I guess. The rest of the stay, I had to "chase down" our room maid to get towels, toilet tissue and soap (EVERY DAY). Then upon check out on Monday, the 11th at 3 AM in the morning (16 hour drive home) I did not review my final bill because I wanted to get on the road. Later in the day when I looked at it, I realized I was charged for something at the "Bistro"......my husband and I never went to the Bistro! I sent them an email this week requesting reimbursement but have not heard from them and probably won't. One other thing........the air conditioning units in each room are very noisy and wake you when they kick on....... also, breakfast in the dining room (which I paid for in CASH) was over $33 for the buffet for the two of us one morning. Go up the road to the Blueberry Muffin Cafe for a great breakfast which is much cheaper............... read more

This review is about the Thanksgiving Buffet 11/26/2015. We were a party of 12 for the 1:30 seating. We were seated on time. Our server Martin was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately these were the only positives on a very disappointing meal! The Holiday Buffet is priced at almost $40 a person, very pricey when you consider the quality of the food offered. The quality was not what I would have expected of a Hilton. In fact I have had better food at a University Cafeteria. The food was mostly tasteless. Green bean casserole was watery and the green beans tough. The cornbread stuffing was flavorless and mushy. The yams tasted like they had been dumped from a can into a warmer and that is about all. The Turkey was a boneless turkey which was salty and full of gristle. My husband took one bite and spit it out. The peel and eat shrimp was mushy. The desserts while lovely to look at were also tasteless. I couldn't believe it! We left more food on our plates then was eaten. All in all a very unsatisfactory experience! read more

SECURITY WOKE US UP !!! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!! at 3 AM, for no reason. Hilton, Melbourne " Beachside", is the place we stayed when my husband interviewed for a new job.. The company he works for, booked the room. We arrived early because we had an early flight, they allowed us to check in before normal check in.. which I think ultimately was the reason security woke us up in the middle of the night..First they called the room, we didn't answer. Then security pounded on our door!! Yelling "Who's in there" We finally opened the door, they barged in and asked, who we were and why we were in that room. we told them the company's name that booked the room. even when we told them who we were and showed them our identification .. they made get up and dressed and go down to the front desk . The worst thing is they made no apology for so rudely waking us in the middle of the night, even though they were in the wrong, they gave us no compensation for our trouble. We asked them for a free additional night. NOTHING !!! read more
