So many disappointments to me. One is the food, and schedule for many of the amenities. It seems like everything closes besides the main lobby area early in the afternoon. This led to an overcrowded bar and cramped spaces. The food was, mediocre. We got sick after eating room service because the temperature of the food was questionable. Many of the restaurants share the same unseasoned overcooked meat. The process of making dinner reservations through the concierge was cumbersome, requiring approval from the restaurant itself and potentially leaving guests without dining options for the day. The buffet offerings were limited, and the service was below expectations with cold food and bugs and flies. The Bay is shallow you can't swim. Having to pay for a cabana is a bit ridiculous. The rocks are dangerous and my daughter was cut badly. The hot tubs were broken and appeared visibly dirty and foggy, raising concerns about its cleanliness and maintenance. The lingering smell on our swimsuits post-swim in the pools raised more concern and also indicated a potential issue with water quality. The rooms are great if you are close to the main area and the staff is friendly. Room service was pretty okay and the buildings are well-maintained but very far apart so the transportation services via golf carts between the lobby were unreliable and often overcrowded. This lack of efficient transportation forced guests to walk long distances within the resort, which was inconvenient and tiring. read more

My husband and I are not all-inclusive people. I'll just say that. We prefer to explore and try local. But, my husband killed it last year at work and earned us a free trip. I travel for work and am a Diamond by nights, so we decided to take the plunge. We've only been to one other all inclusive and vowed never to do one again, BUT, this Hilton changed our minds. I'll start with the cons: 1. We barely used the golf carts. We were lucky to be in Casa 3 so right in the middle and easy to walk to any end, but I would be frustrated if I was in Casa 5/6. They just don't come around that often it feels like, it's quicker to walk than it is to wait, which is disappointing. 2. Getting reservations. All the dinner spots are reservation only and they take them for the week starting on Saturday...so if you get in later that Saturday at 3pm, good luck getting a dinner before 9PM at the best spots. They should really only do reservations a day or two out and only allow you to reserve at each restaurant once because there were families who took reservations every night at the best places. 3. The beach wasn't great TBH. Very rocky and lots of waves. Probably want to stay closer to Playa if you want a better beach. 4. We wanted to stay here to enjoy Tulum....but it was $100 round trip just to get into the city. A huge bummer. We didn't even end up going. Should have just stayed in Playa. The Pros: 1. We thought the food was fantastic. Of course some was better than others - everyone raves on about the steak house but honestly the Mexican chop house was the best meal we had all week. 2. The lobby bar has the best bartenders and makes the best drinks. And these aren't watered down like other resorts. 3. We loved the 24/7 cafe for late night snacks. Great coffee too. 4. The pools were fantastic. The pool outside Cass 3 where we were was pretty quiet and such a great end to every day. 5. As a diamond we got upgraded from nature view to a king suite. Views on both sides. It was fantastic and gorgeous. 6. Clean rooms every day, great service the whole week. They're a newer resort and definitely working out some kinks. Could we have enjoyed the vacation elsewhere? Yes. But our experience here was fantastic - we just had some callouts that I know other people would complain about. We would definitely be back, especially once Tulum opens up some more and it becomes cheaper to go into the city. read more

Overall a remarkable resort. After a hour and a half ride from the airport I was welcomed with a drink in hand as I checked in and the view of the ocean from the lobby was outright stunning. The resort is huge so there is a tram system that picks you up from your building to take you to the other parts of the property. With 8 pools and 13 restaurants I was quite appreciative of this service. The restaurants are all different and each one its own specialty. My favorites were the steakhouse and the Japanese restaurants and I was a regular at the coffee/gelato cafe. Service was excellent from every venue. Even though the pool service was slow on a busy Saturday because of how many people were there, my waitress kept apologizing for the wait. She probably could have used a few more staff members to keep up, but it really wasn't a far walk to the pool bar from either pool for me to just get it myself. Just remember you are there to relax and not get stressed over how long it takes to get a drink or a bite to eat at the pool. The room was quite nice with 12 foot ceilings, walk in shower and a private (smoked glass door) toilet. The mini fridge was stocked every day with water, sodas, beers, juices and snacks. The ocean view was spectacular waking up to every morning. I would definitely recommend this resort as a place to get away from everything and I mean everything. It's a good distance from Cancun and about a 15 minute taxi to downtown Tulum. But with all of the amenities available on the property you really don't have to leave for any reason if you don't want to. read more

There are many restaurants, bar's, pools and longe areas for you to explore and consistently stay entertained. The drinks are solid. Not like many all inclusive resorts we've experienced where you're desiring more. There are many bartenders on this property that make each drink with care to provide quality. Stayed with my family Dec 24-29, 2023. I used points for this stay. To get the 5th night free Hilton points promotions I booked a nature view room. As a Diamond member I got upgraded to an Ocean View Room. Given the fact it was Christmas/New Year's no additional upgrades were available. This was my 5th time at an all-inclusive and I would rate this resort as a good to very good. Having 9 pools (2 exclusive for Enclave and 7 for everyone else) was nice. If you didn't want to hear the music or activities at the main pool there were lots of quiet pools spread out through the resort. At 10 am each day we could usually find 2 if not 3 open lounge chairs under an umbrella - rare for a resort. The beach is not large and it's pretty rocky. It's large enough for probably 75 loungers and a volleyball court. The second beach near Casa 2 and 3 has maybe 40-60 chairs and it's extremely rocky as you enter the water. Good was pretty good. Our favorite restaurants were Auma (steak) and La Luce (Italian). Noriku (Japanese) and Maxal (Chop House) were good. The Fiesta by the Sea (outdoor grill) was disappointing and the music made it hard to have a conversation at the table. Check-in was quick and easy. Luggage transfer to the room was pretty easy. Three negatives: 1. Shuttles between buildings were full at peak hours. It's a 10 minute walk from Casa 5 to the main building - not bad but you need to plan for it. 2. Luggage transfer to pick up bags was a no show - not fun to drag them back. 3. Breakfast and lunch buffets were very similar each day. The resort had shows each night and if you've stayed at resorts in Mexico you've probably seen them. If not the Michael Jackson show is a family favorite. The big miss is there is no auditorium - shows are either on the outdoor stage (limited seating) or in the lobby (minimal standing room). Overall Hilton Tulum is a good choice for families, Spector you're seeking a quieter location away from the tourist areas. While not my top choice it's still a very good option to consider. Pros: -Service was great 5/5! -We got an enclave room, which put us in casa 1 so we were close to the lobby, restaurants, bar, and enclave lounge. -Drinks were strong. Our bartender Paulino was great! -Room service came quick when we needed our fridge restocked. -Our room was nice and clean. Our view was partial ocean view. Cons: -The food was not good. Our first night we had reservations at the Mediterranean restaurant, which was one of the better restaurants in my opinion. It was disappointing having a good meal the first night & then the rest were terrible. I hardly ate throughout my 5 nights stay. I was excited to try the Japanese restaurant, as I seen it had good reviews. I was disappointed and the only good thing was the sake which we had to pay for. We ordered room service twice. Breakfast was decent. Lunch was not good. We had the buffet once but it was terrible. -The restaurant/bar between casa 1 and casa 2 closed at 6pm. Beautiful Hotel over looking the beach. All the staff were great check in and check out was flawless. This is an all inclusive resort with 24 room service and a few restaurants on site along with bars and coffee shops to chose from. There are drinks from the lobby, the bar, each pool side with bar. I think it was like 4 pools that had cabanas (not included) but chairs and towels available. The rooms were cleaned and fridge in room restocked everyday. I have ONE complaint......all that food available and it sucked. The food presentation was beautiful but the taste was nasty. I'm sorry! I ate hamburgers for four days! Stayed here for a weekend. The lobby view is beautiful and the rooms are nice. I had an oceanfront view with a balcony overlooking a pool. 3rd floor Casa 2. The view was nice except for the seaweed in the water. The property is huge but there wasn't much activity like other resorts. It's nice if you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere instead of a party. I did not enjoy most of the restaurant food. The burgers and boneless chicken were pretty good. Also the ice cream/coffee shop. For breakfast stick to the one inside the main building. Overall I think the room was a bit pricey for the food, beach, and activities offered. We visited a beach off the property and it wasn't much better. Very rocky. Transportation is very expensive as well. Overall, the Tulum area was expensive. I probably wouldn't return. read more

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Tulum in a group of 6 ladies for a Bachelorette getaway in September, and I cannot express enough how amazing the experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with top notch hospitality by all staff members we interacted with. As Enclave guests, we loved hanging out in the Enclave Lounge with our awesome concierge turned bestie, César, and enjoyed drinks made by the bartenders Consuelo and Dulce, and delicious food crafted by Javier, every day of our trip, several times a day. On that note, a big highlight of my trip was the incredible food. The all-inclusive dining options exceeded expectations. From the breakfast buffets to the a la carte dinners, every meal was delicious, with a variety of cuisines to satisfy all tastes. Service at Cocomar was outstanding - way to make us feel like A-listers! A big thanks to César for making dinner reservations for us. We got to enjoy a Mexican party on the beach, a big surf and turf meal at Auma, and hibachi at Noriku - which was personally my favorite dinner at the resort. The lush jungle greenery and beautiful beachfront create a dreamy backdrop for a relaxing vacation and photos for your Instagram lol. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the decor throughout the restaurants and common areas were reminiscent of all of our HGTV dreams. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. One wish is that the toilet had a proper door for privacy rather than a frosted glass door. The stunning location, premium dining options, and exceptional service combined to create an unforgettable experience. I cannot wait to return to this tropical paradise in the future! read more

September 2023 - Birthday Trip. First, let me say that this is the most peaceful resort I've visited. It is aesthetically pleasing, and the staff is friendly. Upon arrival, you are given a nice washcloth with a beautiful aroma and a mezcal welcome drink. Delicious. Our room was ready when we arrived, and one of the drivers/hotel porters took us on a cart. He let us know about all the locations on the property and told us to contact the front desk/concierge if we needed anything. Concierge: The concierge suggested reservations at each restaurant. We allowed him to choose our dates and restaurants according to their open days. Room: The room was clean and up to our standards. They are an open concept with a small partition/ closet, bar area, and countertop to separate the two. The restroom has a glazed door, as well as a shower area. I like the concept because you can still use the restroom if someone is in the shower. Housekeeping: We returned to a clean room once we left the room. This was never an issue. We always had clean towels and the proper necessities. Restaurants: The food could have been better, and I could send it back when I was unhappy with a dish. The chef always came out to see how they could improve the dish. The experience made me happy because I've never had this happen before. Breakfast was either in the main building or between buildings 5 and 6. Several customers mentioned they never knew what days there would be breakfast at either restaurant, but times are listed at each restaurant, and we checked with the concierge to be on the safe side. During breakfast, I always went with an omelet and informed the cook how to season my items. It turned out good every time. Lunch: It was a pleasant experience; I enjoyed the food at Sea Salt and the main pool bar the best. Dinner: Each restaurant has its unique taste, and we enjoyed the best food at the steak restaurant and Italian restaurant. The Italian restaurant had a delicious pizza with truffle sauce, and the steak restaurant had a good shrimp dish. Bars: The best drinks are at Sea Salt, the main pool, and the lobby bar. Hands down, the main lobby bar was phenomenal. The bartenders were amazing and catered to our every need. They made sure I enjoyed my birthday!!!! Staff: All of our servers were attentive and catered to all of our needs. I don't have any complaints in this area. The server topped off our drinks and refreshed our beverages without asking at times. Complaints: The power went out a few times in the six days we spent at the resort without an explanation or compensation. Café: Amazing staff and good coffee. I had one drink that was not good, and the barista asked me what could make it better. The staff listened, and the drink was perfect when remade. Recommendation: if you get a chai tea, have the staff make it with the syrup versus the powder (HUGE difference). Activities: We missed most of the activities, but water aerobics is fun; the night concerts were entertaining, and I was encouraged by the performers to dance on stage, and I did (lol) tons of fun. Gym: The gym is kept clean with fresh towels and water bottles. Commute: The time it takes to get from the main building to the last building on the property is an estimated 15-minute walk. There were several complaints regarding the shuttle. The shuttle runs slower in the evening, but if you have someone to walk with, you can get to your building in no time. The travel time from the airport to the hotel runs 60 - 90 minutes. Overall, I would revisit this resort. read more

We stayed at Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya for two days during our Cancun trip and enjoyed our visit. The resort is large and spread out for about 1/2 a mile. If you stay in casa 5 or 6 like we did you'll want to make use of their tram which runs every 5 minutes or so getting to and from the main restaurants and lobby is pretty convenient. The food and drinks here are delicious and good quality for an all inclusive and there are other eating options which are quite good if you're not in the mood for one of their restaurants which generally require a reservation. Near the kids club and kids pool area which is close to casa 6 there are eating options such as a pool car and buffet as well as a taco truck which runs during the day and churros and ice cream stand called Churreria which is great for a snack, treat, or drink. This is a great resort if you have children. The kids club is we'll run and organized. The staff care for the kids well and keep them engaged with activities and a fun and safe place for them to play. If you have teens the teen zone is a great place for them to hang out and play games such as pool table, board games, darts, fooze ball, air hockey, and of course video games. All in all we enjoyed our 2 day stay at Hilton Tulum and recommend them highly if you have children. If you are just with a significant other, maybe Conrad next door may better suit your needs. 5 stars! read more

I wish I could rate this hotel higher but I can't. The good parts: the play area and pools for the kids were great, although it would have been nicer if the water in the play area was warmer. The kids club was good, a good place to drop off the kids for an hour a day depending on the activity. Not good: Unfortunately the food was extremely sub par, which was very disappointing as we have been to several all inclusives and loved the food. There are 2 buffets and several restaurants, but for a place that is supposed to catered towards kids, they had very little options for kids or vegetarians. Out of the 6 days we were there, at the buffets: there was never any pizza or chicken nuggets offered, pasta station was only offered during lunch, and fries only offered 1 day. What food was offered was not tasty and almost every meat dish that was offered was pork or had some type of pork in it. The restaurants we tried were horrible and didn't taste good at all, honestly a Dennys would have been better. And in addition, there are little things that true hotels that cater to kids would take note of in the design, like lower sinks for kids or at least a stool in the rooms. I had to lift up my 5 year olds to wash their hands. The shower is rain shower only, no handheld shower which would be helpful for kids. No rugs in the rooms which is also not helpful for kids and their feet. It may seem like I'm nitpicking but for a vacation that cost over $10,000 for us as a family, I expected much better. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel at all. read more

Welcome drink, nasty salt rim. Food options are horrible. The best thing at the lobby bar is the corn. So bring your food snack and be prepared to drink on a half empty stomach. The Asian restaurant had the best food. Hands down. But if you dont book reservations, you can't do the Hibachi. But try to just walk in. The steak house...u would expect steak right...the ribeye was cut into fajitas. The other steak was for addt cost. Breakfast was decent if u have no food allergies request. The cook refuse to put on gloves at the buffet. As someone who doesn't eat meat...they cross contaminate everything, with no remorse. The liquors is water down. Because it's day 6 and still no buzz. They will say they are out of liquor such as hennessey, but if u tip, it magically appears. Nightlife is non existence. No club or lounge..just music and dj in the lobby bar. It's 90 minutes from the Cancun airport but it's a straight drive and very safe plus you only have to make the trip arriving and departing. The resort is big you need to take golf cart shuttles that run every 5 minutes. The view is beautiful and they have a few nice beaches. The resort is laid back and relaxing it's not a party place but the drinks are free so there are some pool parties. The food was 5 Star always fresh and plentiful with lots of seafood. Pros: -Next door to the Conrad hotel (next time I'll book there) -20-minute drive to downtown Tulum -Shuttles that take you from your casa to the lobby and/or to the Conrad hotel. These are pretty frequent and convenient Cons: -Food is basic. I ate here once and the food is of hospital cafeteria quality. We ate all of our meals away from the property. -Everything is slow! And I mean everything from room service to concierge and everything in between. You wait at least an hour to get service. Just got back from a 5 night stay, we really enjoyed the hotel and amenities. This hotel is def a very quiet location, not a lot going on nearby, the property is nested in the jungle on the beach. The beach itself here was rocky, although we did get in, please wear sandals or the rocks will cut your feet up. Overall the pools were great, service at the pools was consistent, the staff was all very nice and attentive. Loved their hibiscus margaritas, their beer selection is extremely limited to only dos equios and tecate. Some bars do have Heineken and bojamin (a Mexican brown ale in a bottle) which was good. The food at the resort was decent. I will say they def have an outstanding cheeseburger, easily the best I've ever had in Mexico from any resort. The breakfast buffet was good, the Mediterranean restaurant was great, Italian restaurant was good, Mexican restaurant was decent and we missed the steak house. We did find some pretty amazing tacos in the dinner buffet one night that were incredible. Compared to other resorts in Mexico I would say the food here was lacking a bit, but I mean it was not bad by any means. I do wish the beach could be less rocky. The room we stayed in was nice, beds were comfy, room was very clean, mini bar was small but was nice, the water pressure was good and the ac worked great. The lobby bar was nice, they had this really good corn appetizer that was awesome. There is a small water park for kids but we did not go to it. Overall I would def stay again if I was going back to Tulum, it's not my favorite resort i have stayed at before, but for the extremely good price itand quiet/serenity vibe you get, it did make for a good experience. First inclusive hotel I have ever been impressed with. Food, pool, amenities and property are all on point. Staff is amazing. Texting you throughout the day checking on if you need anything. Auma is the steakhouse... order chimichurri sauce with steak. You will be impressed. Norki has amazing soft shell crab. When you check in, go to the link and set your dinner reservations. Spa is next door at Conrad.... Super nice! Only downside (if you want a nightlife) is that it's not a "party" type hotel... it closes entertainment around 10pm. And, can be hard to communicate on drinks with staff if you speak English. I stayed with vodka pineapple... easy. Do NOT order a dirty martini Make sure you take smaller bills... $50 and $100 pesos to tip. No one ever has change for larger bills (even bell staff or front desk). Pool staff on top of drinks. Overall, it was a good stay but could've been better- Check in process was smooth- We didn't wait long as they had a few people working at the front desk. No issues with finding our reservations. I did ask the lady checking us in if there were any room upgrades available but she told me that the hotel is at full capacity so there were no other rooms available. Apparently there was a convention of some sort. Everything was new which was nice. We booked a nature view room and I was able to choose our room through the Hilton app the day before. We stayed in Casa 2, 3rd floor. The room was spacious and had ample room for storage. I Here's the negative part - no hand soap provided for the sink. I looked everywhere and couldn't find one. Also, the bottle opener for the drinks was missing. I know I'm not the only one who experienced these because these 2 issues came up in the fb fan page. Food: We loved the specialty restaurants for dinner. Ate at Maxal and Auma twice and once in La Luce, Noriku and buffet. Maxal, Auma and La Luce were great. All the food that we had there were delicious. The service was also excellent. Shout out to Alfred and Octavio from Auma, Ulysses from La Luce, Moises from Maxal and Carlos from Noriku. They went above and beyond! Actually, all the servers and bartenders that we had interacted with were great. Noriku was just okay. We liked the octopus and the welcome drink and desserts. Main courses were sub par. Breakfast was only available at the buffet, Azulinda or room service. We tried room service once for breakfast and it was on time. We placed an order the night before and it arrived hot. I wish that they had more choices for lunch. It was either the buffet or Seasalt by Casa 2 (it was just okay). Also, the choices were limited. Wish they had more Mexican dishes! Drink service at the pool was slow compared to other resorts that we have been to and we would often receive the wrong drinks which was not a big deal to me but maybe a deal breaker for others. A few times I went to the bar to ask for a specific drink and was told they couldn't make it because they didn't have the liquor (which I could see on the shelf) but no sense in arguing. The property was big. Out of the 9 pools, we could only use 7 as 2 of them are only for the Enclave guests in Casa 1. We mostly stayed in the kids area because of our toddler. The resort never felt crowded even though it was full. We were able to find chairs without a problem. These are the could've been better - because the resort is big and spread out, they could've made made an outside pathway specifically for walking. I'd feel safer walking there than the road where the trams are, especially at night. The blind corners were a bit worrisome at times. Or they could've made the road maybe just a tiny bit wider. Entertainment at night was lacking and a bit confusing, location wise. Because there was a convention, the entertainment at night was moved to different locations- which were not updated on the app. It would've been nice if they posted it somewhere in the lobby. read more

My husband did all the planning and booking because he enjoys it and is good at it from traveling so much. He booked the Hilton because it looked so beautiful, it has restaurants, spas, events all on ground. Each restaurant had delish food and great service. My visit was in the middle of September. After most people and families had returned to work and school, and before the rainy, hurricane season. I think this is an ideal vacation time. There are six casas and the main building. Check-in was smooth but any issues after that took forever. For example, changing rooms was a slow nightmare that I really wish I could've avoided. I spent a few days and nights in Casa 2 which was nice. I was initially in Casa 5, and for the two hours I tried to settle in, it turned out to be really unpleasant. The room was gorgeous but there were actual insects in my bed. Not bedbugs, according to Google images and the Hilton staff. Just also microscopic insects that I initially thought were lint. The staff brushed them AND me off. Their explanation was that Casa 5 is surrounded by "the jungle." So I asked to be moved. They moved me to the room next door which had really visible insects from the moment I entered. Finally, I was moved to Casa 2, and this was all the first night but many many hours later. Casa 2 was insect-free and where I happily remained for my entire stay. It has its own little bar and pool where you can also order food. Room service takes about an hour. My eggs were hot but pancakes were cold. This wasn't a big deal. I was out for breakfast all but one morning. There are so many things I loved about this resort. I took an aggressive fitness class. I went on a bike-riding tour. I danced, drank, and ate a lot. It was a mission to do all the things and try all the restaurants, and I for sure tried. Visited Tulum this past weekend for my birthday and it was my first trip out of the country. This hotel and staff was top tier. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All Inclusive is one of the newest in the Hilton all in category. The day we arrived, the welcome was lovely. Welcomed with a cool towel, a delicious welcome drink and many smiles. Ana was absolutely delightful! Upon check in, we were upgraded from a King nature room to an ocean view king suite , I am sure largely due to being a Diamond member but nevertheless, it was appreciated and the room was large, gorgeous, well stocked and had a stunning view. We were in casa dos, right above Sea Salt. Alberto who helped us with our bags was wonderful and throughout the trip was always so friendly. We were offered Enclave upon check in but it seemed overpriced for what they offered. I truly felt that Diamond members should have been offered enclave at a special rate. We would have taken advantage of it if it were better priced. Overall the food was excellent and service in the restaurants were top notch. The food was great quality and the plating was exquisite. Our favorites were the steakhouse & the Teppanyaki at Noriku. La Luce, the food was fab and do not miss the burrata salad & the beet salad!!! The pool service was hit or miss, we did encounter servers that were unbelievable and others that appeared to hate their life. Several times it was quicker to just go to the bar myself. The beach was lackluster due to the excessive seaweed (we traveled during April). BUT there is an area that's lovely between the main building & casa 1. I did feel there should have been a couple more advantages to being a Diamond Member at this resort, perhaps free daybeds or a large enclave discount or even access to cocomar, something that shows status of diamond. I also feel that one pool should be ADULT ONLY. I love kids but on vacation keep the screaming, running, splashers, away from those of us that want a vacation from all of that. Out of 10, I would give this resort a 9. I would recommend to anyone! Very well done and worth the cost! read more

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary. The resort is beautiful and has amazing views. Service was a 2/10 staff was rude. We had to call multiples times for house cleaning and they would take hours to gives us new towels and sheets. Food is 1/10. The food was never at its right temperature. After experiencing this, I can't see going anywhere without an all inclusive option. We had such an amazing stay. We were welcomed with drinks, smiling faces, and the hand and foot service never stopped. Everyone was so attentive, humble, and eager to help. I wanted to tip everyone there! Don't be fooled by the good reviews. Save yourself and stay somewhere else. If I could give negative stars I would. The resort was hardly that, for being less than 2 years old and a Hilton, I expected far better. CHECK IN: Upon check in we upgraded to premium, which moved us from a regular room to a suite, as well as, a special colored wristband to access special restaurants and bars as well as premium drinks. Well good luck trying to use that wrist band anywhere. Whenever we tried to use it we were told we couldn't at that location and when we asked where we could they shrugged their shoulders. On day 5(out of 6) we finally found the enclave lounge where we could actually have a sit down breakfast and order, it was empty so I'm sure no else knew about it either. ROOMS: Visually the rooms were beautiful but once we stepped foot into our room and every other location especially the elevators you will immediately smell the mold. The place is FULL of mold. You WILL get sick. By day 3y whole family was congested and coughing up green mucus. As well as every other person we talked to in our group and strangers by the pool. We had to call every time we wanted our room cleaned and forget clean towels and sheets. FOOD: The food is awful. Zero flavor. Nothing was fresh. Night two, at Maxal, I got FOOD POISONING. Room service will take 2 hours and will be cold and missing half your order. The dinner restaurants you have to make reservations for and good luck with that. They expected my family with young children to eat at 9pm on two different nights! They also refused to help change a reservation from the restaurant I got sick at. Not once did I find chips and salsa anywhere and the guacamole was just mashed avocado. Again zero flavor. If you do find yourself here la Luce, the Italian food was the only decent food. BEACH: The beach is hardly that, it's full of rocks and TRASH. We had to walk over a pile of trash to get to the beach from the pool at casa 3. I mean wrappers, trash bags, single shoes, cans, bottles. The water was warm at least. POOL: the service pool side was awful, we waited 3 hours for ceviche and a burger and fries. The towels were always empty and no one cared when you asked, they'd point you to the next pool to look for them yourself. The tiles were all chipping off inside the pool and the tiles along the edge were FULL OF MOLD! Imagine my disgust when I see my child climbing out of the pool all over fuzzy black mold!!!!!!! The water park was fun for the kids but the pebbletec is so rough on the kids feet, legs when reaching the bottom of the slides! The play area jungle gym was fun for the kids but they decided a Friday was the perfect day to caution tape it off to paint it, while the resort was full of kids. The elevators in the main lobby area had to be used to get to the restaurants (we had a stroller) or you could walk outside and around the building where the cars drive down. Well we started walking 5 minutes out of our way to avoid the elevators because they smelled so strongly of mold. Also don't stay in casa 1 if they are having a wedding while you are there, they will blast the music all night long right outside your balcony. Oh and those fancy bracelets you have to wear the whole time, they cut them off you at the end because THEY REUSE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! They are porous wooden little chips that will certainly be disgusting after a week of wearing them 24/7. And then they reuse them on someone else! Goes along with the whole place just gross. The bell boys were all amazing, as well as, the majority of our waiters/waitresses so we were sure to tip and not take it out on them. Hilton corporate did not set them up to thrive but rather to fail. Poor management/corporate is fully to blame. Oh and good luck finding a manager to speak with. We will not be back and I encourage everyone to go elsewhere. We will stick to Cabo and definitely be avoiding Hiltons from now on. read more

This place is fantastic. I've never stayed at an all-inclusive resort before, and this place certainly sets a high bar. The location itself is outstanding, every balcony in the facility is a photo-op. The pools here are also pretty good, although the lack of any clear distinction between the temperature of the 'hot tub' and the temperature of the actual pools is disheartening. The true highlight of our stay has been the service. You can tell people really care about doing a good job here, and this shines through with the awesome 'entertainment team', exquisite fitness lessons (which, in our experience, often ended up being a private lesson), and the nightly entertainment activities including Karaoke, outdoor 'silent' parties, and Latin dancing. In particular, Alicia and Josue, and both of the Davids and Ramiro in Noriku in food service, as well as Emilio in the gym, made this experience fantastic. This is a place you won't wanna kiss goodbye. Five stars. p.s. - only downside was that during cleaning they took away the fruit we brought back to our room every morning read more

I've grown up staying at Hiltons and have a higher expectation than the disappointing experience my family and I had. The location: you come to these parts for the beautiful, white sandy beaches and blue waters. The beach is so painfully rocky and they have taken TERRIBLE care of the area. We booked an ocean view room and our view is what looked like a landfill. Piles of seaweed and too much garbage sitting on top of it that is acceptable for any hotel, let alone one promoting to be ecofriendly. That is not a view anyone deserves and isn't worth 5 star hotel prices. We picked this hotel because it was a Hilton expecting to get an upgrade of some sort(don't rely on this at this hotel), but also because it was new to avoid the mildewy smell you get at some of the hotels and expected it to be clean. This seemed far too lived in for a hotel so new. Housekeeping is a nightmare at this hotel. We arrived late, so we were tired and just wanted to get settled in our room. Checkin/Checkout process is painfully slow, but we finally get to the room and EWWWW. Sheets are stained, towels are stained, the walls had handprints on them and there was a brown stain on the floor which we can hope was dirt. This is the last thing anyone should have to deal with. We called housekeeping. They came, they wiped the brown stain, didn't touch anything else and left the dirty rag on our suitcase. We had to call back and just asked for another room at midnight. A terrible start to the trip. Housekeeping needs a checklist when they do the rooms, so nothing is missed. There was always something untouched or lacking. So you have to call them, sometimes multiple times because they either don't come at all or bring half of what you need. That was the case just to get our room cleaned as well. For the adjoining rooms. The beds are too big for the size of the room. Someone will be sleeping in the drapes. Maybe okay for a child, but no adult will be happy with this. The layout is also problematic for anyone getting up in the middle of the night. Everyone will be disrupted since there isn't a separate area closed off from the bathroom. It also lacks any privacy: there's a barrier that doesn't fully extend the length of the room, but it's see-through. The food and drinks are also disappointing here. Alcohol seems watered down, so beer and wine are your best bet. The beer they only had 2-3 options depending on the restaurant and they just had one red and one white and rose. The food: it would be inconsistent. You would order something one day and the next would be something completely different and disappointing. The lobby bar was by far the worst. Always cold like it was sitting there for way too long. Sea Salt and the steak restaurant were probably the best. Even the Italian-a typical safe option had terrible service and the food was average at best. I ordered carbonara and it was like pasta with scrambled eggs in it. Not edible. This is by far the most overstaffed I've seen a hotel, so none of the issues are for lack of coverage. It's like they just don't care. You bring issues to their attention(which is the last thing you want to deal with on your overpriced vacation) and they don't address them. Tl;DR: I hit my head, they made me get into an ambulance saying that they would pay. The ambulance brought me to a fraudulent hosptial, and 6 months later the Hotel has not paid their bill or given me any indication that they plan to do so, so now I am on the hook for a $5.5k ambulance ride that I never should have taken. Came here for a wedding back in June of 2023. I've never written a yelp review, but felt like everyone should hear this story before spending money to come here over other options. One night after the wedding we went back to one of the pools. While walking out I slipped, fell back and hit my head. The team/doctor from the hotel took a long time to respond and actually look at my head, but they were all very nice. Despite them wrapping my head and handling it there, they insisted they called an ambulance for me and that it would all be covered by the hotel, rather than just taking a taxi. It took several hours from the time I hit my head to the time the ambulance showed up. The people in the ambulance than were running so many tests that it seemed odd for a few stitches, but being the hotel insisted that we take it and they'd pay I didn't think anything of it. We then arrive at a hospital who refused to see me unless I paid $10k USD upfront to see a doctor. Being they had no idea why I was there that made no sense, but they insisted that without $10k USD they would not help further. Upon googling the hospital and seeing 5k 1 star reviews of folks saying the same thing happened to them, it became clear that they were just trying to take advantage of foreigners in bad situations. Instead, we googled the other closest hospital, were in and out in 5 minutes for $150. Fast forward to now and Hilton never paid the ambulance company, so I am now being billed $5.5k for an ambulance ride they insisted I take and they'd pay for. They have given me no indication of if or when they plan to pay, and everyone I have tried to contact at the hotel has not responded. I wouldn't stay here if you paid me, as if something goes wrong they'll send you in an ambulance to a fake hospital in the middle of Mexico, and then leave you with a $5.5k bill. read more

Only was able to last 2 days before I ended up switching to a different resort. Firstly, the rooms have ant infestations and smell horribly of mildew. Room services never come to clean the room and the food is almost inedible. At the restaurants half the menu is always unavailable. Forget if you need any medical help- the first aid office wouldn't even open the door the first 10 minutes of me knocking and waiting. Finally I was met with someone extremely rude telling me they're in a consultation and to leave. When I showed her the horrible sun burn on my arm she told me it would cost $150 USD for her just to give me an ice pack (the ice machines at the resort were broken). When I asked for some ibuprofen she responded "well everything has a cost". Extremely rude and inhumane. I would never return here or to any Hilton at this point read more

this was our first time here at hilton tulum. but not our first time in an all inclusive resort. first time was with a big group. this time, still a big group. so not our first rodeo. but we were thoroughly impressed with our stay here. the staff and their service was impeccable. our rooms were spotless, couldnt find anything to complain about. the resort/pool area, super clean. the landscaping, very well maintained. the tram (be it golf cars or van) clean and the wait time was not long. people always tend to complain, and i get that. i have nothing to complain about the stay here. i have seen on other people's review about the beach being rocky. well, that is what the area's beaches are. we can't all have white sandy beaches! but guess what, rocks and corals give shelter to fish, so there's more marine life here than a barren white sand beach. if you want to go to a white sandy beach, rent a car and go to playa paraiso, we went there yesterday and it was good. we enjoyed the amenities. kids club! get their schedule of activities, our kids loved it. they also have kayaks and SUP, we enjoyed that thoroughly and it's free as well. the food. oh the many places to eat here. restaurants that really stood out was la luce (went there twice in the week that we stayed here) and auma (steak house). 3 families, each family consisting of 3, and we were accomodated easily. the restaurants are all by reservation and it was easy to get a reservation. vela and vela pool bar is where we get our breakfast/brunch/lunch. they also have a hamburger/hotdog truck by the kids pool area and a churro bar. they serve food and drinks at their pool areas. it's so good. special mention to lizzie who served us in the pool areas by casa 6 and casa 1. excellent job. la luce and auma were our favorite places to have dinner. we did not make it into maxal. we also had dinner at noriku, service was great, but the food was not as good. ceasar, david, reyes, ulises, the drivers for the golf cars/vans, the cleaning staff...all wonderful and provided excellent customer service! they all deserve a raise! anyway, here i am writing this review with the relaxing sound of the waves and cool sea breeze engulfing my whole body. i have to put an end to this writing and enjoy the time we have left in this place. thank you hilton tulum and staff! u are all awesome. read more

We were in the enclave. The mini fridge was not restocked consistently. We asked for extra towels and did get them, but it was a constant thing. We were there for a week. I did not particularly like any of the restaurants. They tried to be upscale, but missed the mark. Food was bland and weird. The Teppanyaki ( Japanese) restaurant was delicious. We ate there twice and if I could, I would have every night. The buffets were bland and not very good. Cold cuts and cheese left out way too long and started to sweat. You could always find something so we didn't starve- it just wasn't good. Beds were comfy and all the staff went out of their way to be kind and serve you. Isabel tried really hard and was a good host. Drinks were good and pool service at enclave pools was good. All in all we had a good relaxing time and enjoyed tanning by the pool, but I would not return there. We went through Costco. I was expecting something way nicer and better food. We did a lot of research and watched many videos, but were a tad disappointed. read more

It's just a couple of years old, and it's designed beautifully. The employees all did a great job keeping us entertained and cared for. Functionally, there's a lot to fix. The driveway is going to knock your teeth out - so bumpy! You're stuck on the cove, so taxis and excursions will cost a lot. The sand is thinning where they imported fill (RIP that reef, but there will still be some fish to spy). The food was mostly mediocre or bad. Dinner reservations were a joke - it is difficult to navigate and near-impossible to get anything before 8pm even days in advance. Beaches outside Casa 2/3 were littered in the morning. The toilets smelled a bit when left dormant for more than a few hours. The common area toilets always had broken holders and lots of holes in the wall where previous fixtures had failed. Toilet paper was frequently missing. The cocktails were so bland, so it's a good thing the beer was free-flowing. Watch out for the mildew on doors and decorations (your own room & common areas). Fitness center was very well appointed. The pool areas were very nice, and it seemed like daily entertainment was well-received by most guests. read more
