Listen to every single five-star review. I am honestly crushed that this place has been in the area for years and I am only just discovering it. The service is exceptional. The sweet woman who's usually there is always attentive, offers great recommendations, and shares the stories behind what you order. I have been here three times so far, and every visit has left me full, happy with the flavors and quality, and feeling great afterward. I recently came in on a day when I felt especially lethargic, and their dumpling soup revived me instantly. It felt like a warm celestial embrace that filled me with health and vitality. Another wonderful soup to try is the new one with the ginseng and chicken (cannot remember the name, but ask your server about the "Korean hot summer soup"). HOLE IN THE WALL! Honestly one of the few places where you feel where you feel "at home"! This place exceeds my expectation, they went above and beyond. My sister and parents want some place healthy and this place is highly recommended. We came in then we sat immediately, not that much people but a lot were calling for a to go order! We came in and the owner/server introduced their homemade tea and we tried it! It's called ginger lemon honey, you can taste the bits and pieces of all the ingredients, so you know it's not just those little packets of teas! We didn't order any apps because we opted for a bento box, which was A LOT!! They gave a lot of little sides when we were eating. The staffs are also very friendly. Place is also very clean! We only saw 3 staffs but they were able to manage everything and make everything fresh! Did I say they make everything fresh?! Yes! Food are made to order, that feeling that its homey-hearty food? For years we've always driven miles for Korean food, while in actuality the best Korean eatery is right around the corner! We were greeted by a young waitress who seated us and delivered food to us, but the bulk of the service came from the owner, a super friendly, super enthusiastic and super attentive Korean Imo :-). It's a popular place, with full tables and lots of take-outs. I ordered the Veggie Soft Tofu stew and my husband asked for their winter signature specialty: Sam Gye Tang, Ginseng Chicken Broth. He loves this dish, but this time his experience was brought to a new level by the Imo, who gave him authoritative and hands-on instructions on how to consume it properly. She even took it as her duty to put the transparent gloves on his hands! When she saw that we loved the house-made, very spicy, kimchi, she made sure that our table was never short of its supply. The soft tofu stew was the best I'd ever had (and I've had lots of it in many Korean restaurants): it was full of delicious ingredients, esp. generous helpings of enoki mushroom and king trumpet mushroom, and the flavoring was superb. Their food is very good, when you can get it. On multiple occasions, I have called for pickup, and they tell me it's at least an hour wait. I'm not sure why they don't hire an additional Sushi chef. If I'm not willing to wait an hour, I imagine others aren't either. So they must be losing a ton of money that they would be able to get if they had proper staffing. read more

We got takeout from here and it was great! I ordered online & it said it would be ready in 40 mins, but we arrived after 20mins & everything was ready. Everything was so thoughtfully packaged too. We got the Christmas roll, matrix roll, Cali roll, spicy tuna roll & chicken fried rice. Our favorite was the Christmas roll. The fried rice was a little under-seasoned, it was still good, I just don't normally add soy sauce & I feel like it needed it. There were big chunks of chicken too, it looked like thigh meat, the quality was good too it wasn't your typical foamy mystery meat that sometimes comes in fried rice. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Korean pickled/marinated veggie sides they included. Also, our fried rice came with miso soup which was very good. Too much food for 2 people (not a bad thing!), they even gave us 3 chopsticks & plastic ware probably assuming this was for more people. Lol. We'll definitely be back! read more

Sushi and Kimchi is a fairly new gem in this town. It is located in a strip mall with lots of parking. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive to our needs. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. My family and I came here on a Sunday night for dinner and we had a great time. They had a great selection of cold sake and beers. We also got a few orders or their hot sake. We got the assorted sashimi platter and sushi special for a group of 5 and were pretty full. They gave us free edamame and homemade dumplings on the house. They also gave us Korean side dishes such as kimchi and fish cakes. Their sushi was fresh and good portions. We had been there been there before but we got take out today . The owner was so nice and quickly got our order in. Our order came with all the sides as you would get for dine in. We love this place for so many things! I love the fact they have Korean and Japanese on their menu. I got avocado rolls which never disappoint. I got the soon tofu soup which was full of flavors. Super fresh sushi, loved their special to go platter (4 regular rolls and 3 specialty rolls). My husband and I came for date night, and we enjoyed the fresh quality of the food so much. Their complimentary banchans (side dishes) were really tasty and fresh too. We used it to cleanse our palettes in between bites. Our hostess was phenomenal! Very welcoming, friendly and even struck up a nice conversation. The sushi was amazing, we got the Crazy, Spicy Rainbow, and the OMG Roll and each was better than the last! Even the simple yellowtail roll was taken that tiny bit further with scallions added into it. The meal came with complimentary Miso soup, some kind of pickled cucumber, pickle radish, potato salad and kimchi. I chose to have sashimi, never a good idea at a sushi AND Korean place in the 'burbs. I ordered 2 yellowtail, 2 salmon, and 2 eel pieces. Mushy, overly fishy smelling but NOT fishy tasting. I'm like a piece of shrimp myself, a bottom eater that will eat practically anything, however even for me it was barely edible. However, my partner was smart and ordered a Korean dish. It was very tasty and came with complimentary kimchi, eggplant, cucumber and another veggie that escapes me. In a word, outstanding. I can't resist but to start with parking, as I always appreciate the hassle-free arrival. The restaurant is located inside of a shopping plaza, so parking was definitely not a problem, at least at a lunch time on Thursday. The restaurant offers substantial lunch menu with many dishes - you definitely have something to chose from. Also the fun part of the restaurant is that it offers both Japanese and Korean dishes (which is rare), so you have some great options. We started with the seafood pancake (Korean dish), which was excellent - crispy, tasty, served with variety of pickled veggies. I took a combination of shrimp tempura udon with 4 pieces of assorted sushi (chef's selection). Udon is one of my most favorite dishes in Japanese restaurants, and I have to say that this was possibly the very best udon I ever had - the broth was delicious, with some unique spices and a touch of heat. Sushi were also very good. We also got 2 pieces of Uni (sea urchin) as a "dessert". For me, Uni is a hallmark of quality of a sushi restaurant - if it is tasty, you are in a good place. So I'm happy to report that Uni was delightful, very fresh with nice sweet undertones. That was an excellent finish for a delicious meal. Friendly, helpful and attentive service. How come nobody told me about this place???? So glad there is a Korean fusion place in Nyack. No need to go to Fort Lee or Palisades Park whenever I'm craving bibimbap. This is a cute little place. We got seated right away. The ahjumas were really nice. I really felt at home. Started with the seafood pancake. Can't go wrong with this stable. Crunchy and tasty. I had the bulgogi bibimbap. It was delicious. Hot rice meets vegetables and marinated beef; match made in heaven. The vegetarian came with fried egg. My only critic is there is not enough banchan. The banchan consisted of kimchi, fish cakes, pickled cucumber and radish. Overall great place and food. Will definitely be stopping by a lot. read more

All around a phenomenal experience, as much a joy to relax in the space as it is to enjoy the excellent Korean cuisine! We went about a month ago, having made a reservation for our party of four on a Friday night, and were immediately greeted by the personable hostess (more on her later!) Spacious, clean interior. Ordering a selection of things, I can vouch for their steamed dumplings (adequately filled with tender meat) and the seafood pancake. The pancake was quite good, flaky and not too oily. It's perhaps a little less flavorful than one might hope, but I often find that to be the case with shrimp. Opting for the iconic and popular bulgogi, Sushi & Kimchi nails it. The meat was incredibly tender and simmering in a terrific bulgogi sauce, just sweet enough to evoke what I go for when going for barbecue. Similarly, the vegetable medley that makes up the dish was appropriately cooked, the onions particularly sweet as they caramelized. Another in our group were well pleased with the ttukbaegi bulgogi, essentially a brothy stew version of my meal. All during this we were advised and tended to by our waitress and the hostess, the later of whom provided some etiquette advice for best enjoying the food (while never coming across as anything but enthusiastic!) A great spot, conveniently located and well-priced for the sort of food you're in for. Recommended! read more

This is a great new find for me. Legit, well lit, ultra clean, yummy, diverse menu (Japanese/Sushi/Korean). It has everything you would expect from a strictly sushi place, but throws in some traditional Korean fare that should please the most ardent fan. While I'm not sure what "KIMCHI PORK SOT BIBIMBAP" really means, I ate all of it... even allowing Owner/Chef to pour on her own hot sauce made in house. Probably not the hottest thing I *ever* ate, but certainly a spicy memory. Kimchi is made in house, although not buried under a bridge in a clay pot at midnight. Best I've ever had, but if you don't like kimchi you certainly won't like this. A nice sushi place with a very broad menu, and if you're adventurous (or just Korean) take a trip to the bottom of the menu for traditional authentic fare. The sushi tasted like sushi at any other sushi place. Idk sushi tastes the same to me but I can tell when its bad obviously. The basic rolls (spicy tuna/spicy salmon/AAC) were fresh and tightly wrapped. They brought some kimchi out that they made in house. Tasted good to me. Been going to Sushi & Kimchi for some time. Gina is an unbelievable host. Always serves with a smile and great sense of humor. My older son & I love the Korean Hot stone bibimbap w/ spicy pork and bibimbap w/ spicy pork & kimchi, which is what we typically order. Delicious and very filling. Gina always gives us the hot sauce on the side, so we can amp up the heat, as we like! Took my younger son and his girlfriend there for their first time. He got the ttukbaegi bulgogi (Marinated beef w/ veggie in hot stone bowl). She ordered the Hot stone pan bibimbap w/ chicken. They both loved their dishes.
