Very small, thin rack of lamb

We've been coming to this restaurant for years--easily 10+ visits--and have always tipped well and supported the business. Unfortunately, after tonight, we won't be returning. We ordered the rack of lamb ($25.99) and were shocked by what arrived. The plate came with only three extremely thin chops, all severely overcooked. One chop honestly looked like a bite had been taken out of it before it reached our table. For the price, the portion and quality were unacceptable. These chops were no bigger than a 50- cent piece! What made the experience worse was how the issue was handled. We brought it to the staff's attention, but no offer was made to remake the dish or provide a refund--not even a partial one. For a place we've been loyal to for so long, that was incredibly disappointing. Everyone has an off night, but how a restaurant handles a mistake matters. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of care for long-time customers. There are too many great options out there to justify coming back after this.

Took my wife for her first try. She really enjoyed the mixed tandoori and curry chicken. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. Service was fine and restaurant clean and welcoming.

The food was really good and the staff was friendly, offering me extra rice if needed.

Located further up on the quieter part of Solano up near Berkeley Hills, this small, unassuming establishment houses some of the best Indian/Nepalese food we've had in awhile! My wife wanted to celebrate her birthday dinner at a more casual restaurant this year, and was craving some Indian food. She stumbled upon this place on Yelp, and wanted to try it out given the high reviews. We stopped in around 7pm without a reservation, and there was plenty of available seating inside. For our first visit, we opted for the chicken coconut, fish tandoori, a side of garlic naan, and a plate of chicken momos. Everything was delicious, but we ESPECIALLY enjoyed the momos (big, steamed dumplings) and the chicken coconut. The entrées each come with your choice of white of brown rice on the side. Service was friendly and prompt, and we've been back several times since. Sometimes with friends whom we appear to have converted to loyal followers.

I decided to try this place because it had lunch Thali (specials) and chicken pumpkin which I thought was interesting. We went there early afternoon and got seated quickly. There's inside and outside seating. I decided on the chicken pumpkin thali, ordered pani puri and a mango lassi. My friend ordered the chicken tikka masala thali. The thali comes in a metal lunch style tray. In each section is something different. It comes with rice, salad, daal, naan, papad, avocado raita, potato cucumber achar, and your choice of the entrees listed. The pani puri came out fast. The dough shells were crispy and filled with a spiced mashed potato filling. The tangy flavor water helped cut through the filling. Just dont put too much of the water on it. The mango lassi was good, a little on the sweeter side. I got the chicken pumpkin medium spicy, which felt like a medium. Chicken pumpkin was velvety, had a decent amount of chicken pieces although a little dry. I could taste the pumpkin which had sweetness. I feel for the price of the lunch Thali ranging from $18-21 depending which entree is a good deal since you can try a few different dishes/sides. I wouldn't mine coming again to try other dishes or happy hour.

Neither my wife nor I will be coming back to Noor…read more Today was our second time visiting Noor after having dined in several months ago, and we remembered enjoying the food. We arrived around opening (4:00 PM) today, August 29, 2026. Our server failed to mention that the crab samosa was unavailable until after we ordered it. The person who poured and delivered our drinks wrongly gave each of us the other person's drink. My wife was then mortified to discover two unmistakable drops of blood on her glass, and after reporting it to the waitstaff, she was gaslit by being told that they were instead wine. We ordered four dishes total. They delivered three of them correctly and a fourth dish that we hadn't ordered. We immediately informed our server of the issue, but they repeated the name of the dish and left. We called them over again to clarify if this was the dish that we had ordered, as it looked nothing like what the menu described. She said that she made a mistake because both dishes started with the same word. We then told her that we didn't want the wrong item nor did we want to wait for the missing item. Instead, the server left us with the wrong item and then delivered the missing item a few minutes later and charged us for it. In short, the food is good, but the staff at Noor are inattentive and irresponsible.

The chicken tikka masala is a classic and definitely worth getting; it's flavorful and reliably good every time. But what really surprised me was the shrimp curry. I went in expecting the shrimp to be a bit overcooked or limited in quantity, but that wasn't the case at all. The shrimp were actually cooked really well and there was a generous amount in the dish, making it feel like a great value. One thing to keep in mind, rice doesn't automatically come with the curries, so you'll have to order it separately if you want it. That said, we usually skip the rice and go for naan instead, specifically the potato naan and garlic naan. Between the two, you get a really nice contrast in texture. The potato naan is thicker, soft, and fluffy on the inside, almost like a comforting, filled bread, while the garlic naan is thinner with a slightly crispy edge. Make sure not to sleep on the free chai tea, it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Off to the right of the cashier desk, there's a little self-serve station with cups, sugar packets, stir sticks, and a large container filled with hot chai. You can pour as much as you want, whenever you want, which is a nice touch and a great way to round out the meal. One thing to note about the atmosphere: there are occasional slow periods where the place can get really quiet, and you might even find yourself as the only table there. It can feel a little awkward in those moments, but it just depends on the time of day. When it's busy, though, it has a much more lively, energetic feel. Overall, it's a solid, low-key spot with good food, a family-friendly environment, and a few nice little perks that make it stand out.

We rang the bell multiple times and then as we were about to go to a different place, thinking there was no one around, the cook came out and took our orders. I could tell he was a but overwhelmed since we were a group of 5, but he was really nice and courteous. He also answered the questions we had concerning the food. It took about 40 - 50 mins for our food to get in. We were the only ones in the restaurant so I'm surprised it took the long. That being said, i realized there was only one cook in the kitchen to it makes sense why it took so long however, I was not mentally prepared to wait that long. Around 12 pm, the hostess came in and was shocked to see us. She apologized for being late and wanted to get our orders but we told her the cook already got them. After waiting for about 50 mins, we finally got our orders. The food was AMAZING. Starting with the chicken sekuwa. It was a complete 10/10. I would definitely come back just for this. It was seasoned to perfection, very tender and juicy. The C Momo was very crispy and covered in a nice sweet chilli sauce. They're like deep fried dumplings. I would give it an 8/10. The lamb curry was very savory and filling. We got that with some rice and roti. It paired very well. I would also rate that an 8/10. The lamb thali was good but I think I was overwhelmed with everything on the plate. It was not bad, the lamb and lentil soup were good but I think I did not know how best to eat it so I could not fully appreciate it. I would give it a 6.5 The thai iced tea was pretty standard one. Very nice and not too sweet. 8/10 for ne The food here was pretty remarkable. I usually don't care about 'bad' service but this one really had a huge impact and stopped me from giving it a higher rating. I would not be too keen on coming back here with how understaffed they are but I do understand.
