Had a craving for some butter chicken and naan. My husband decided to try the Lamb Curry ($16.99). On the menu the curries, including Butter Chicken ($17.99) comes with rice, but I asked whether I could substitute that with a plain naan instead. It was only a 51 cent difference which I would've been willing to pay, but the server said that wasn't possible, and we would only be allowed to substitute the rice for BOTH curries in exchange for 1 portion of naan. I'd understand if they just had a no substitution policy, but this came off really stingy to me. 1 portion of naan wasn't enough for the both of us, so we ended up ordering another one for $3.50. Anyways, the food itself was very delicious nonetheless! The curry dishes looked small, but there was still a good amount of meat that filled us right up. I'd for sure be willing to eat this again.

Very small, thin rack of lamb

We've been coming to this restaurant for years--easily 10+ visits--and have always tipped well and supported the business. Unfortunately, after tonight, we won't be returning. We ordered the rack of lamb ($25.99) and were shocked by what arrived. The plate came with only three extremely thin chops, all severely overcooked. One chop honestly looked like a bite had been taken out of it before it reached our table. For the price, the portion and quality were unacceptable. These chops were no bigger than a 50- cent piece! What made the experience worse was how the issue was handled. We brought it to the staff's attention, but no offer was made to remake the dish or provide a refund--not even a partial one. For a place we've been loyal to for so long, that was incredibly disappointing. Everyone has an off night, but how a restaurant handles a mistake matters. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of care for long-time customers. There are too many great options out there to justify coming back after this.

The food was really good and the staff was friendly, offering me extra rice if needed.

Took my wife for her first try. She really enjoyed the mixed tandoori and curry chicken. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. Service was fine and restaurant clean and welcoming.

Both my mom and I ordered lunch specials, and it seemed to be a good value. I especially enjoyed the naan and malai kofta and the salad was a nice side too. I was not a fan of the chana masala, as it seemed to lack flavor and the sauce was slightly watery. I opted for mild level of spice, since I was concerned the meal would be too spicy, but that was not the case. We also ordered some pappadum along with chicken momos to share, and it was an alright dish, although I did think the filling wasn't quite tasty. The sauce was a nice touch, and helped add a small burst of flavor and a mild kick. Customer service was great and attentive and the restaurant was nicely decorated with a cozy vibe. Overall, our meal was enjoyable and I am glad that there was an option to order lunch specials for weekend lunch. Although, I wished some items were more flavorful or spicy. I'd possibly return to try other items on the menu if I'm nearby or visiting campus. Seems like a pretty solid spot for Nepalese/Indian food!

I think I just discovered my favorite restaraunt of all time in Berkeley. Though the exterior of…read morethe restaraunt is unassuming, and the building itself is quite small with limited seating, the interior is still very clean and neat, and the workers are very nice. I placed an online order for the C Chicken Momos and the Garlic Cheese Naan, which were both phenomenal. The naan was some of the best I've ever had. It was so fluffy, thick, and pillowy soft, and was not overly charred/thin or too crispy like other naan. Just pure doughy goodness. There was also a perfect amount of cheese filling--enough that you got the subtle kick of milky acidity, but not too overpowering. The naan itself was also not too greasy, and the garlic flavor was very aromatic. You could also taste a hint of the slight tartness from (I'm assuming) the yogurt used to make the naan. The "C" Chicken Momos came with eight large pieces, which is definitely enough to fill you up. The sauce tasted like a classic sweet-and-sour sauce with a very mild and pleasant spice. Also, because the dumplings were fried, they were crispy despite being covered in sauce, but still had a bit of the nice chew you would get from a steamed momo skin. The fillings themselves were also super flavorful: you get a herbal and fresh taste from the ginger, which balanced the tanginess of the sauce so the meal did not feel too heavy, and the subtle nuttiness and pepperiness of cumin in each bite. The dumplings also had some warm broth in them, which is perfect for a cold day. The prices are fair too. You can often find small discounts on Snackpass or delivery apps like GrubHub. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back. Totally recommend!

The perfect level of sweetness, and I will say most Indian restaurants sweeten their mango lassis WAY too much. - good service - big parking lot (not sure if it's Bevmo's, but we parked there anyway) Cons: - they were out of strawberry lassi :[ and another flavor too (I forget which). I went with some co workers for lunch and we shared what we individually ordered amongst ourselves because it was our first time getting Nepali food. When we arrived, there was no one at the front. Mind you, we came in 30 mins after opening for lunch. We rang the bell multiple times and then as we were about to go to a different place, thinking there was no one around, the cook came out and took our orders. I could tell he was a but overwhelmed since we were a group of 5, but he was really nice and courteous. He also answered the questions we had concerning the food. It took about 40 - 50 mins for our food to get in. We were the only ones in the restaurant so I'm surprised it took the long. That being said, i realized there was only one cook in the kitchen to it makes sense why it took so long however, I was not mentally prepared to wait that long. Around 12 pm, the hostess came in and was shocked to see us. She apologized for being late and wanted to get our orders but we told her the cook already got them. After waiting for about 50 mins, we finally got our orders. The food was AMAZING. Starting with the chicken sekuwa. It was a complete 10/10. I would definitely come back just for this. It was seasoned to perfection, very tender and juicy. The C Momo was very crispy and covered in a nice sweet chilli sauce. They're like deep fried dumplings. I would give it an 8/10. The lamb curry was very savory and filling. We got that with some rice and roti. It paired very well. I would also rate that an 8/10. The lamb thali was good but I think I was overwhelmed with everything on the plate. It was not bad, the lamb and lentil soup were good but I think I did not know how best to eat it so I could not fully appreciate it. I would give it a 6.5 The thai iced tea was pretty standard one. Very nice and not too sweet. 8/10 for ne The food here was pretty remarkable. I usually don't care about 'bad' service but this one really had a huge impact and stopped me from giving it a higher rating. I would not be too keen on coming back here with how understaffed they are but I do understand. If you're not in a rush, and are ready to grow your fruit of patience, I would definitely say the food is worth the wait and it was really good.
