I am so glad that we tried this place on Monday. The food was amazingly delicious. We ordered the Himalayan Momo (Chicken) for an appetizer. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great, the sauce really added a lot of great flavor. For dinner I got the Chicken Tikka Masala medium and it was spiced just correctly, a bit of a kick but not too much to overpower the wonderful taste. Vegan friendly is always what im looking for and they are. Everything was delicious, fast, and flavorful. The veggie potstickers were steamed perfectly and the tomato dipping sauce worked well with them and the samosas. We had the aloo gobi and the chana masala, both with medium heat. Now I love spicy food, but I don't think I could handle anything higher than medium, so just be mindful of that. Would highly recommend this place. read more

I cannot speak to the "dining in" experience but my food is always ready within 20 minutes and ZOMG IT IS PERFECT. We love the lamb choila appetizer, and these people do naan flawlessly! Portions are great, I always have some left over for lunch the next day. My first visit and my review is only for the buffet. Their website doesn't speak of the buffet but it is offered for lunch 7 days a week. Staff was really nice. The foods looked great and best yet when I tried it, each hot item was actually piping hot!!! Such a treat. So tired of 90degree foods. Multiple raw salad veggies, raita, chutneys , rice, biryani, two breads, dal, chai tea, pakora, FOUR vegetarian items (korma veggies, sag paneer, chana masala , cabbage/corn, each great and piping hot. Chili chicken (or was it Chicken 65) was awesome, so many onions. Tandoori chicken moist and kept steamy. I did not try the other chicken nor goat. I saw desserts, I passed on them. Sat. with water and tax was like $16.75. I think it's $2.00 cheaper Mon-Fri. They can pack up the place, not really big but WOW!!! Please support this place. They do have an awesome sounding menu, looks like veg entrees from $13 and chicken from $14. Think I'll go back tomorrow to make sure I wasn't dreaming. read more

I loved their Buffet at $12.99 on weekdays and $14.99 on weekends. Nice to keep it affordable to most of common forks. They had my favorite Naan Bread and Tandoori Chicken. Yeti has great number of vegetable dishes as well. I loved their spice section as well with variety of chutney. They had a vegetarian daal soup as well. So we have been twice and both times have been satisfying and enjoyable. The first time we went was for an early dinner. Our curries were flavorful, the naan was perfectly cooked and the rice was also perfect. The service was good, but there was a minor communication problem. nothing major or worth complaining about. It was actually quite funny. Anyway, on our next visit we went for the buffet. This ended up being better than our previous trip. The variety was ok, but everything was very tasty. Who doesn't love Naan bread, especially unlimited Naan bread at a lunch buffet!!! Such a wonderful lunch buffet, and it rotates courses throughout the week. I believe it was only $9.99. They even have a delicious chai tea on the buffet that you can drink. We took a look at the menu to see if we would want to come outside the lunch buffet, and the menu was huge! Came here for the lunch buffet the other day.. was quite disappointed. Might be a bit biased because my expectations stem from Indian food around NYC/NJ area. The options weren't plentiful, but did give a variety of flavors. However, each dish seemed lacking. Tandori was a little dry/bland, other dishes seemed a bit watered down. Chai tea wasn't strong at all. Asides from the food, service was good (very quick and helpful), place was very clean. I stopped by a while back for the lunch buffet when I saw it listed in Yelp's Hot and New sections. Great amount of selection! I'm no expert in Indian / Nepalese food, but everything I had was quite tasty, although I cannot attest to its authenticity. I'm also no culinary plating genius, so I didn't take any pictures of the plates to post on yelp. Next time I visit, I'll try to remember to snap some pictures of the food at the buffet. We chose the buffet that it's available daily from 11 to 3 I usually stray away from a buffet but everything was fresh and delicious we are not by any means vegetarians but our favorite dish was the yellow lentil my fiancé's exact words were this is incredible. HY is about a 5minute walk from my new place, so I decided to try it out for dinner Sunday night. On my walk there I started reading reviews and became concerned after seeing some of the recent ones that said it had gone downhill. I almost turned around, but decided to give it a shot anyway--I'm glad I did! This could easily be one of my favorite STL restaurants now. I love Indian food and HY did not disappoint. I tried the fried vegetable momo, the garlic and cheese naan, and chicken Korma (Hot). The garlic cheese bread twist on the naan was amazing. The Hot version of the Chicken Korma had just the right amount of spice (I love spicy food, so next time I might try a little hotter). It was enough to have a kick, but not overwhelming. The flavor was great--rich spices, creamy flavor, and the rice it came with was perfectly cooked. The service was also great--I didn't have to wait on anything. If you're looking to grab a drink with friends, they also have a well stocked bar. I will definitely be coming back and looking forward to trying the lunch buffet soon. read more

Loved it! The food is absolutely delicious! The service's top-notch. The environs are clean and spacious, but nothing really special or attractive. I got the (I forget its actual name, but it was the) long-named Nepalese special with black-eyed peas. It was delightful. We also got the potato-filled naan which was well-made and hearty. I have visited twice so far, both times for the reasonably priced lunch buffet, and both times I have been very pleased. I will admit that I am a bit of a picky eater, so if I try something as bold as Indian food it has to come ion a form that I can sample. Luckily here the lunch buffet is not overwhelming with too much to choose from, my favorite has to be the Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala, however they also have Lamb curry available too. The staff here is very friendly and the service is great. Seating inside is limited, so be advised that during peak hours things can get a little hectic as there is no waiting area. My only real complaint is that the items are labeled with post it notes with their traditional name, and no description of what exactly the entrée is. Now with that being said I know that I sampled a few items that I wouldn't have tried otherwise, so I guess it was a good thing that got me to try something new! Overall the lunch buffet here is a pretty good choice, even if there selection is somewhat limited, the food is quality and it tastes great and best of all its less than $10. Now that I know what I enjoy, I look forward to returning some evening for dinner to order off the menu. read more

Let me be clear in stating that the ONLY reason they are not five stars: they do not serve alcohol. I like to have a drink with my dinner, so this is a huge turn-off for me. Otherwise, everything we had was spectacular and the service was super friendly and thorough. We had samosas, garlic naan, raita, the Vegetarian Thali and Lamb Vindaloo. Everything was season perfectly and unique. I could probably live on the naan and raita - I could DRINK the raita! I am so excited to have an Indian restaurant in my neighborhood and I will certainly need to update after I give the lunch buffet a try. Bonus points for a parking lot, as well! read more

Yum! This is go to spot for Indian! I really enjoy the buffet at lunch, but haven't tried to order from the menu yet. They offer a nice variety of things. Most of the time when I go I get the tikka masala, chai tea, and gulab jamun. Everything tastes amazing and that's really saying something becuase I feel like gulab jamun can be messed up easily. They serve theirs warm rather than cold like other spots and that makes a huge difference. It's the little things. I will be back for more and more in the future. read more
