Found it while driving around Texas and decided to stop for a bite, despite the slightly long wait it is definitely worth 5 stars the food was delicious and the sides were top notch for a barbecue place. I'm normally a very light eater and often don't finish my plate, but I cleaned my plate as well as two others my family didn't finish. The food is amazing, lots of sides to choose from and always served with hot meat! I love the baked potatoes and turkey & dressing plates on Sunday! One of the best restaurants in Wharton. Their fried foods are made to order so there's a longer wait but SO worth it. read more

Im still wondering who "yall" are and 25 cents means nothing to me. the food is bland the bbq sauce gives it taste and they have the nerve to get attitudes about it. We stopped here while driving through on our way to Corpus Christie. The BBQ, service and sides were all fantastic. The lady who took our order was so friendly! Glad I took her recommendation to try the potato casserole with my meal. We picked up a lemon meringue pie to share with our friends that night, and it was a hit! I ate there about a year ago. I ordered brisket with beans and potato salad. I had eaten there several times before. This was mid afternoon and the only thing I had eaten all day. About an hour or so after I ate I got violently sick I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I definitely haven't eaten there since and will not. Sorry to have to make a negative report as the food was always good before but no way I will risk getting that sick again. read more
