New location is smaller than the previous one. One of the main climbing structures wasn't set up when we went. You'd think they'd offer some compensation for the fact that one of the main structures wasn't open. The 4 year olds found enough to do but the 7 year old was bored. My son loves this place. Every time we pull up, he gets excited. There's so much to do there from the bouncy houses to the toys for different ages. My son is almost 2 and I really like that they have activities for his age. This place is very clean and you constantly see the staff cleaning and tidying up. It makes me feel good to see that. It's great that it's a socks only facility. That helps to keep it clean. The cafe is awesome. My son loves the Hippo Hop smoothie. He has to have one every time. There's a good variety of foods like snacks, sandwiches and beverages. And free coffee before 11am during the week. Love this place! read more

Went for a 2 year olds birthday party and had a great time. Our party host Fariah was awesome with the perfect toddler approved playlist! Fun place for preschoolers up to 7 to play. This Indoor play place is FAR cleaner than most play places in the city. Also great food options and seating for adults where you can watch your kids and get a rest. Entrance is usually $9 and there were soo many food options that were healthy available. Will be back with my preschooler for sure. The activities are mostly various bouncy houses for all ages with a great separate toddler and small kid play area in back. read more

A bunch of us brought our little ones here one day to try it out. It was VERY crowded and hot! I felt like it had too much going on with no supervision. The big kids were all over ht elittle kids toys and I had to tell them the sign said they were too big. I also felt like their were too many adults to kids there, yet the adults were not watching their children. The snack bar looked appetizing, even though I brought my own snacks. Hmm. I'm having mixed feelings regarding this place. It was a very cool concept, I just didn't feel that driving as far as I did was worth it in this case. There was this horrible, horrible smell on one of the slides and I was mad that my daughter had to endure that. Also, it was very busy that day so It seemed very chaotic! Kids were everywhere lol. I love kids but it was very unsafe to me. One kid ran into me and bounced off, (I'm kind of solid, but still). Very spacious. The location we went to just opened so there are some things that may not be in place yet such as the kitchen. This has the best snack selection in my opinion. There's fruits, cheese sticks, muffins, King of Pops popsicles in addition to the usual fare. Down side, 5 bouncy houses. Not as much stuff to do as Top Play or Bean Town. The children had a great time as well as the adults. I love that its not so huge that your kids could get lost but enough space to run around and tire the kids out. Don't go with huge expectations and you won't be disappointed. We came here for a birthday party. I will say the place is well organized, it doesn't feel like everything is crowded or jammed into the place. The floor was a bit dirty in some areas, like there were crumbs in the inside of one of their plsstic castles but overall, I didn't see anything major. I had to buy socks for myself since everyone needs socks to be there but they didn't gauge me. I paid $1.50 for them. This place does not look new or state-of-the-art but the kids love it and get to burn off a lot of energy. If you are there earlier in the day you should have no trouble finding parking. For a rainy day its not a bad option to have the kids hang out. This place is not really great for kids over 10. read more

Hippo hopp is a cute little warehouse turned indoor playground. There's a ton of things to do for big kids, little ones, and a room for the very, very little to crawl all over while keeping a closer eye on them. My son enjoyed himself (there were only a handful of kids around, so he could explore without fuss) on the many bouncy things and him and my husband ran through the giant inflated obstacle course. Theres tons of toys and building things to mess with. Theres an interactive projection pad along with a tv on one side and a McD's style playground as well. Not much for the parents to do, but there are plenty of chairs for you to sit on if your kid is too old to play with mom and dad. Free wifi, too, and food and refreshments at the front of the play area. Costs five bucks a kid and parents are free. And you gotta wear socks. Or buy some at the front. read more

Hippo hopp is relaxing for parents. I love their cafe. I just sit and talk to my sister on the phone and let my son play. He always has so much fun here. He likes to pick out which juice or snack he wants. They have socks that are sold for 2 dollars for adults. While Hippo Hop certainly serves its purpose as an indoor playground, the atmosphere and equipment are a bit underwhelming; and parking.... well, let's just say parking and accessibility are a bit nightmare on Elm Street-ish. The building and parking lots are located off the Northeast Expressway; so if you are unfamiliar with the area, you'll miss your turn/exit and have to drive another 5 minutes and come back around to reach your destination. Was that a run-on sentence? Well, that's what it feels like trying to get to HippoHop IF you don't know where you're going. There are a few bouncy houses, a tot area, a dance floor, games, toys, and a nice snack bar. I think for kids 4+, the experience is much more exciting. But for toddler aged children, there is more to be desired. The kids have a great time running around and are worn out at the end of it. But if I have to choose between Hippo Hop & Catch Air, I choose Catch Air every time. read more

My grandkids and I went to Hippo Hopp just off the I-85 access road in Atlanta for the day because the whether was bad and this was a place to play indoors. We had been there before and it was fine on those visits. The check in process required updating a waiver which did not work on my phone. The staff was short with me because I could not get it to work-- finally they did it and we paid $30 and went in at 10:49 am. The kids played and then we decided to get lunch. The person at the register told me it would be 6 minutes, but it took 20 minutes for the food to be ready. The kids played while I waited. As soon as we ate, they announced that they were closing for a private party. We were there a total of 1 hour and 12 minutes-- 20 of which I spent waiting for food. There was a private party that had booked the entire place. some people seemed to know that this was going to happen but there was no sign or information at check in. When I (and many others) complained we were offered a refund within a week. read more

4 stars for being an amazing concept with a smoothie bar and food options inside. Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, lots of space and various areas or stations for play. Good amount of seating for eating and seating for parents who definitely deserve a break that overlook the play areas. My only reason this didn't get 5 stars is its impossible to get someone on the phone, and I wish there were a few more staff walking around to have a presence for any issues. For example. My husband and I were following around my toddler making sure he's safe and playing nicely with others, and there was a little girl who kept shoving him off toys and screaming in his face. We couldn't find her parents and obviously we can't scold someone else's kid so we had to take our sobbing son over to another area. We kept seeing this little nightmare (sorry, but she was a bully) steal things from other kids and bully other kids. It left a real bad taste in our mouth and put a damper on this otherwise awesome experience. Anyway, love the idea but wish there was more supervision or enforced rules for parents to still supervise their kids. read more

Only draw backs: the chairs could be more comfortable and the noise of the inflatables gets a little much by hour 3. Free fast wifi makes up for it! Not great for toddlers. The toddler space was old and dirty. Parts missing off of the toy (ex. steps but the slide is not attached). The place in general looks kind of run down and I'm shocked at the high reviews. Every toy is dingy. Every. Toy. Staff not really engaged with the customers. We left after 40 mins. Would not recommend or return to. Two stars because they have a decent amount of parking, plenty of storage/shoe cubicles and offer hot food and all three of those tend to be rare at these types of places. I feel like this place is a hidden gem! I stumbled upon it as I was researching COVID safe party options for my toddler. I ended up having my sons 3rd Birthday party here Saturday and it was the best decision. I opted for the private party. The staff was amazing. They were attentive to my needs and assisted me before I even asked. They were friendly and readily available the entire time I was there. I arrived a little early to setup and observed the staff cleaning the facility. That was impressive. HippoHopp is clean and kid friendly. We brought our 1 year old here on a random weekday for some running around since our original plans were waylaid by the rain (boo rain!). We found this spot on Yelp and decided to check it out because of the great reviews! Bring or wear socks, as you will have to take off your shoes to walk around and play. Also, there is free wifi (woohoo)! First off, parking in the area is a bit difficult. Make sure you pay attention to the signs posted along the street about which lots and what street areas are OK to park in and what areas are not. (You definitely don't want to get towed!) On a weekday, the parking situation is really not bad (we found street parking across the street from the building), but I can see how this can become an issue during peak times. The indoor playground is HUGE! The playground is loosely divided into areas with signs posted about what ages each structure or area is appropriate for. However, since most of these kids can't read, it's really up to parents and caretakers to enforce these rules (and not everyone watches their kids closely - there are rows of chairs and tables where some caretakers are just sitting on their phones etc). There is also a cafeteria with organic, 'healthy' foods and snacks. The cafeteria is towards the front of the building, and the floor here is not carpeted. You will want to wear shoes or the slippers they provide here. Same with the bathrooms (tiled). My only complaint is some of the areas are pretty dirty. I suppose even with daily cleaning this can't be helped to some degree given the sheer amount of sticky kids that come through on a daily basis. I will say none of the kids looked or acted sick on the day I was there, but my kid did come down with a runny nose and a mild cough a few days later. I suppose to some extent that too is to be expected. read more

Perfect place for a soon to be 2 year old. My sons birthday is next month and we've been scouting potential birthday party venues. Hippo hop is a winner, he took off running as soon as we walked in. It's a very open and fun place. The staff and guests were pretty friendly and relaxed. My wife and I love hippo hop for our 3 old son. First off the staff is super friendly. An example of outstanding customer service I have personally experienced...I brought my son in without going online first to fill out waiver etc. The staff member let me know that unfortunately the facility was closed due to a private event. Of course I and especially my son were let down. As we were getting ready to exit the same staff member stopped me and let me know that we could stay. She had spoken to the owner of the facility who told her to let us play even though it was clearly on me for not going through proper protocol before coming to hippo hop. At that moment hippo hop had won my loyalty. My son loves all the bouncing, climbing and sliding he can do with his friends. My wife and I love their cafe options (smoothies, paninis, etc) in addition to comfortable seating all over the facility made just for parents/guardians to comfortably watch their little ones. I looked forward to celebrating someone's party here and we weren't advised that a private party would take place instead we were informed in a nasty nice manner that they were closed. I'm sure if people were informed in a timely manner, they would not have to be rushed out. But it was evident that they were focused more on making their quota. We weren't there for an hour and not once did anyone say "hey, were closing early due to a private party". To make matters worse, they turned off the jumpers without warning. A young man came into the bathroom while me and my children were in there and instead of saying "sorry, excuse me", (mind you, he had already stated 2 times on separate occasions that they were closed), he lingered in the bathroom and stated yet again "well you know we're closed". I advised him that we were well aware and to please exit the bathroom because he was in a bathroom with females. I found that highly inappropriate and informed the so called manager and she dismissed my complaint and said the young man was likely in the bathroom because he was trying to clean up. I told the "manager" that a woman had already came in the bathroom. She claimed she would speak with him, but I highly doubt it. A man is not to enter a bathroom when he is well aware that females are in the bathroom! This place has lost my service before they truly received it. I would not advise anyone to go here. Go anywhere else, they seem money hungry if anything. Others who were coming to the place weren't aware that the place was also closed and were upset because they had driven a distance to take their kids to play. I love this place! I've been bringing my little guy here for a couple years and he always has a blast. They recently got some new equipment which is nice. There's something for everybody and they have free wifi so busy moms and dads can get some work done while the little ones play. The food is pretty good and they have some healthy organic options which is always plus. I highly recommend this place. Especially if you have a super high energy kid like I do. This place always wears him out. He gets to run around and jump and climb and play and get a yummy food too. Def my favorite place to bring my little guy. read more

When i found this place i thought it would be perfect for my daughters 2nd birthday party. The price was pretty good too. The party was booked to be from 6pm-8pm. When we arrived the very first thing we noticed was how hot it was inside. Once our party host took us to our party room she began to tell me that they closed at 7:30 but that i would still get my entire 2 hours of party. So i thought even better my kids and the party would have 30 min of the place to there self. Then she tell me that at 7:30 all of the bouncy houses would be turned off that we had to stay inside the party room. (nowhere when making the reservation did they mentioned this ) Party host only came to drop off pizza and drinks (Pizzas where not good, and burnt completely from the back) She wasnt there durning cake or anything else. (watch it , pizzas here can be up to $22) At 7:50 we decided to just head out as all the bouncy houses were turned off and they werre picking everything up. As my guests and i were getting the kiddos shoes and jackets on my party host tells me she had charged me someone elses tab and needed to re run my card. All of my party was still in the building and i was standing fixing the credit card issue when they turned off all the lights and left us and 2 of the kids that were still in the bathroom in the dark. I was expecting way more from this place as the reviews were great. Place is nice and alot of activities for younger kids but i wouldn't ever book this place again for a party. We're here several times a month so we either love it or I'm a glutton for punishment. Well, any time you go anywhere with large, loud inflatables, bright lights and lots of happy, squealing children, you're a bit of a glutton for punishment to begin with. So there's that. But truly, we love this place. We've been bringing our son here since he was 10 months old and could only crawl about. They have lots of toys and activities for children who are too young for (or afraid of) the bounce houses. My son particularly liked a wooden school bus with a car maze in the front, alphabet blocks on one side and those ever-present beads on the other side. The crawlers love the tubes and the early walkers love the push toys and all the playhouses. There are at least six play houses and it seems they keep adding more. So the 2-and-under crowd are all set. As they get old enough to bounce, they have their choice of small, safe bouncies that ONLY 3 years and under can go in (and their parents), and then many others that scale up in difficulty and interest for older children. This business is serious about recycling and conservation. They are also committed to healthy food so you can get things like hummus and veggies or Annie's cheddar bunnies at their cafe. Free Wi-Fi but I never bring my computer cuz I'm too busy chasing after my very happy toddler. Rates are great, too. I think it's $3 for my son's age and parents are free. We've been to other bounce houses like Monkey Joe's but prefer this for the variety of activities for all ages and the healthy snacks and environmental consciousness. It's the type of business you want to do business with. p.s. - the last time I was there, it was raining cats and dogs and I was driving around looking for parking. I found the facility to be dark, crowded and in need of maintenance. Parking was awful - we parked behind the building and had to walk through a narrow gravel walkway that was dark and dangerous as we left at closing. The staff was generally indifferent and seemed like they would rather be anywhere but here. The attractions were outdated and included a hodge-podge variety (a lot of these plastic structures could probably be bought right off of Amazon, not intended for commercial use!) There are much better indoor play areas for children in town. I did love the availability of organic drinks and snacks, but at the same time people were eating dripping popsicles and leaving crumbs all over the place (not just in the eating area). Finally, I saw several people either wearing shoes in the play areas or carrying their shoes with them and leaving them inside the play structures. When I asked the staff what the deal was, they could care less. This place also does not have any system to ensure that children are leaving with the adults they came with. Considering how crowded it was on the weekend and the multiple birthday parties (there were practically as many adults as children) I would advise that you keep your kids close at hand. One more note, I really loved that this place had a nursing area. Even though I did not intend to use it, I made a point to check it out. Unfortunately, it is small and to say it is semi-private would be generous. The room it is in is packed with parents and children and the kids had turned the space into a fort and play area of their own. The absolute worst experience ever. We had a pre-planned birthday and when we arrived we noticed fans and it was scorching hot! We asked why and they said there's no AC. Really? It's summer, plus all of our kids have on masks for safety and there's no circulated air? No one told us prior too, nothing. This is a HUGE problem and should be addressed to management. Not to mention it's a health code violation in addition to a huge bacteria issue specifically during covid times. The place wasn't even clean or being wiped down after the last party. I get the appeal of this place. BUT, 2 things would make it SO much better and safer. 1. Stop calling food over the loud speaker every 20 seconds. It's SO ANNOYING. In the few moments I can actually talk to my friend between trying to wrangle my daughter, there is a horrible loud speaker calling #'s for ppl to pick up their food. It's so loud and muffled and annoying. Get some buzzers!!! 2. There should be more staff walking around and monitoring the place and entrance. I saw several kids in distress, including a kid stuck inside of a basketball net. There is like NO ONE working here except a few busy people selling food towards the front and taking $ at the entrance. When it was time to leave and I was quickly getting my shoes on, my 2 year old ran away and went right outside the front door on her own. The door should lock or an employee should be standing there. I've been there once with my kids, and they had fun, but I have a couple issues: 1) Outside food is not allowed. They have a cafe with "healthy" and "reasonably priced" food, but their definitions of healthy and affordable are pretty skewed. 2) They don't accept phone calls. I tried to call and ask if re-admission was allowed if we decided to go somewhere else to eat, but they have an automated phone system that doesn't have any options for speaking to a person to ask questions. They have no information on their website about re-admission. After calling Catch Air Midtown and talking to a real person that was able to answer my questions, I decided it was a better fit. I second a lot of the reviews about this place. Parking is the worst I've seen for the volume of parents and kids that come here. And the employees aren't helpful when it comes to dealing with parking. The equipment is underwhelming and the employees aren't paying attention to big kids playing where the younger ones are causing the young ones to be knocked over or be in uncomfortable situations. Not a bad place to go if it's hot or rainy. Going early or late is really the best time if you have younger ones. There are designated older kid play areas and toddler play areas. However, when you have the older kids in the toddler area that makes it hard to let your kids play in peace. Yet the young kids can't really go in the older kid areas...it is what it is. read more

I'm leaving a review purely because I was so impressed with Rico, one of the workers we saw today at HippoHopp. We have been a handful of times, and our little has enjoyed it thoroughly each time. I'd say our experience is typically average - the kids of course enjoy running wild and free. Some of the bounce houses and toys are a little old, but that doesn't bother kids. Today though, was the first time we've ever seen Rico there. He was constantly busy throughout our time there - he was sanitizing toys and play areas throughout, and while doing it, was also interacting with the kids. He even took some time to sit and play with a group of kids who were building a tower in the blocks area (and managed to keep a child from having a tower topple over on top of him). It was clear that the kids appreciated his kindness (I noticed him later very patiently showing a few kids how to use their giant spinning tops). One of the kids kept asking Rico repeatedly to play with him, and he would sweetly try to appease him while also doing his cleaning. HippoHopp is lucky to have such an attentive, thoughtful, and hard-working employee. We hope to see him again (unless he's been promoted somewhere else!). read more

I've been here three times and I've really enjoyed it. I have a group for single moms, The Single Mom's Network, and we've met there twice. Our last meeting was this past Saturday (12.19.09). There were two birthday parties going on, but the place was still great. Not too loud some of the other indoor playgrounds. At both meetings, there were moms with small children, and their toddlers were able to have just as much fun and the staff makes sure the older kids don't play on the toddler toys (no other place does this). When you go in, they have a sign that the children should wait before entering but they don't enforce that which I think is great. The minute kids step a foot into these places their shoes are off and they're running in, they don't want to wait for you to stop and pay. I've communicated with Joy and Wendy via email to schedule meetings there and they've both been wonderful. This is a great place to take your kids during the winter and even meet with other moms. read more
