It comes with a body wrap, with a 15 minute extra massage (your basically getting a 65 minute massage. They body brush you, massage you with the CBD product, wrap you up, and while that's absorbing, they give you a scalp massage. I appreciated that the masseuse was careful with my hair. I have very curly hair, and she was gentle and assured my hair didn't look crazy after she was done. Then, after that's done, you get a pedicure as well. It's your standard pedicure, but they massage your legs with that CBD product as well. I really felt like everyone paid attention to detail here, and made sure you were comfortable at every moment. I really appreciated that. Since I don't do this often, sometimes I tend to feel a little out of place, but that wasn't possible here. I would come back in a heart beat, and suggest hinting to your significant other they get this for you as a gift. Or! When I called to make the appointment, I was placed on hold until a supervisor could come on the line to make the reservation. I explained that I had a gift certificate and the amount and asked her for guidance. I told her I'd like to do massages but facials were also an option. Without giving me a price, she booked us the couples massage and what sounded like a couples facial. Turns out, we should have just done the massages in order to spend what was on the gift certificate. Also, the facials were not done in the same room and started at different times. Because of that, I couldn't guide my friend, who had never had a facial before, or tell her that she wasn't beholden to that particular type of facial. I felt so terrible afterward, when she explained the trauma of her facial and the rude things her esthetician said about her skin. However lovely the view from the cattle call--I mean waiting area--was including the falcon perched on top of a pine tree overlooking the golf course, or how many settings and features the bidet had, the biggest let down by far was checking out. I had told the young woman at the desk that I was treating my friend and handed her my credit card, you know, HINT, HINT, PLEASE, whatever you do, DON'T say the total amount out loud! What did she do??? My friend was HORRIFIED at the price tag, which was the absolute worst way to end our spa day. I felt so terrible because the entire situation made us both extremely uncomfortable. What a crappy goodbye and sendoff. My recommendation for the Spa is to train staff on discreetness, particularly with regard to closing out the bill. Brought ("inspirational") home selfie photos of cut/…read morecoloring/highlights from a few years ago. 8/5/2026 photos here of what my hair looked like AFTER Mateos colored the wrong color; dark mahogany/ bugandy that was flat, lacked highlights and dimension and was limp and lacked the bangs, cut and layers I asked stylist for (I asked her to be sure to cut off the thinning frayed dead ends to make my hair fuller), after the Mateos stylist charged $396.00. Mateos stylist announced, "I don't do corrections" AFTER service was paid, and she recognized she failed to achieve the results I asked for that she assured me she could do before she started her work. She claimed to have years of experience. After I paid and her comments I reminded her that she was asked to cut bangs, take off old frayed ends, cut in an angled frame in front and add layering in back for volume, color in warm chestnut as seen in the Hair.com photos we also reviewed and add golden highlights for dimension that was discussed TWICE in a consult days prior and again at my appointment before the stylist started. What I had years earlier was seen by the stylist in about 5 photos that the stylist told me to bring in and were in fact reviewed with stylist prior to service. Mateos stylist refused to refund me and sent this to me via text after her manager spoke to her and told her I requested a full refund. called the next day - with my complaint and asked for a call back but not receive none. On the second day, I tried and called salon again; called ahead and spoke to the manager, I came into the salon within the hour of speaking with her to show her the poor results the Mateos stylist charged me $395. I showed the manager and I told her that the photos I brought in to the Mateos stylist on my phone were from Veda about 4 years ago but my original stylist there was not available. She told she would ask the stylist to refund me and that I should try to go back to Veda and I did. I told her I wanted to get my hair corrected ASAP first (since I had an event out of state to attend in 2 weeks) 8/11/2026 Veda corrected my hair and charged $215.00 + $43.00 tip And got it perfectly right! I emailed all the photos of what their Mateos stylist did, and compared them to attached "inspirational" photos of past work I had done by Veda and also sent the photos of the cut, color and highlights correction work Veda accomplished a few days after the Mateos work. No argument from Mateos manager at all as she admitted she could see the problem and acknowledge with me verbally in person that what I asked for clearly was absolutely not what I got from their stylist at Mateos. Additionally, there was no barrier cotton wrap or barrier cream used for my skin around my hairline so I literally had to wipe coloring off my forehead cheeks and ears when their stylist took a break. Also, upon my arrival, the stylist - walked into the salon10 minutes past my appointment time, and put a soiled smock on me (there is another complaint about this from another Mateos client on Yelp too - filter lowest reviews to find). I wish I had gone to Veda, and/or reviewed Yelp. Be warned; the stylists at Mateos are independent and Mateos will NOT REFUND clients for bad work. You have to trust the stylist knows what they are doing. Unlike other salons the licenses are not diplayed at the stylist station to view. Had this been a minor and an inexpensive matter I would have moved on. However, the ridiculously exorbitant charges in addition to this stylist's cavalier attitude, lack of accountability - and despite being asked by her manager to refund me - prompted this review so others will take caution when deciding to use Mateos. When I made my appointment the receptionist quoted me $50 for color, $70 for cut and "more if anything additionally" is done. Two (2) bowls of color were used; one to color/ cover gray and the second to highlight. I expected $170 + tip. Stylist handed me $395 bill with $660.00 expense total for me with Mateos charged, and what I paid Veda to correct my hair as a result of very poor service and lack of accountability with stylist at Mateos. Quite an astounding and shameful lack of work ethic.

The front desk staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the design/vibe was gorgeous, and I loved the calming wave sounds and infused water. I was honestly considering signing up for a membership because the overall atmosphere was so nice. That said, I was unfortunately really disappointed with the actual massage. My husband paid extra for a deep tissue massage because that is specifically what I prefer. I used to be a massage therapist myself before becoming a stay-at-home mom, so I understand there are different styles and pressure preferences, but this did not feel like deep tissue whatsoever. The pressure stayed extremely light for the entire session and honestly felt more like a light Swedish relaxation massage. What made it more frustrating was that the therapist never once checked in about pressure or comfort throughout the session, which would have given me the opportunity to ask for deeper work. Since we specifically paid extra for deep tissue, I left feeling disappointed and honestly a little upset that the service provided did not match what was booked.

We ate at the restaurant where we were seated outside and the service was OK. Our server was very nice and understandably. It was very busy. However, the food was very good and worth the price.. not too expensive either. Would definitely stay here again.

The king bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in, and we loved having a balcony overlooking the lake, golf course, and mountains. The room had plenty of storage, a nice workspace, and a large jetted soaking tub. The resort itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and pet friendly, which was a huge plus since we travel with our dog. One thing to know before you arrive: the guest rooms are not located in the main lobby building. We didn't realize this and brought all of our luggage inside to check in before noticing the sign. Fortunately, our building was right next door, and the employee who checked us in kindly offered to help carry our luggage since there are no elevators. That level of customer service was much appreciated. A couple of things kept this from being a 5-star stay. The shower is inside the oversized soaking tub, so you have to climb in and out every time you shower. It wasn't the most practical setup, especially for anyone with mobility concerns. The air conditioner was also fairly loud when it kicked on, although it kept the room nice and cool. There was plenty of convenient parking near our building, but I was disappointed that self-parking is an additional charge. Overall, this is a beautiful resort with comfortable rooms, stunning views, and friendly staff. If you don't mind the extra parking fee and the tub/shower setup, it's a great place to stay while visiting Colorado Springs.
