First time visiting this bar and lounge and I must say it didn't leave much of an impression. Came on Tuesday night, music was cool mix of 90s R&B and reggae music. My friend and I sat at the bar and the menu provided stated margaritas all day $5 the bartender made us aware that offer was only available during happy hour and not all day as it stated. I ordered the shrimp and chicken tacos, tasteful however the portion very small and came out cold. I also tried the classic house margarita and it didn't speak much to me. Visited for brunch yesterday with my husband and had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were spot on. The staff were warm, attentive, and happy to accommodate our special requests. They even let us sample the NY wing sampler, which turned out to be a highlight--highly recommend it! The interior has a trendy, lounge-like atmosphere, which is worth noting if you're sensitive to noise--the music inside was quite loud. Fortunately, we were seated outside, and since it wasn't too busy, we had the patio all to ourselves. If you're young, like to stand and love very loud music, that's your place. I only stayed for about 5 minutes. I couldn't get to the bar, no waiters to serve you, so I wasn't going to anything I came for. So not much to review. Came here for their "soft" opening. Upon walking in, you are greeted by the bar, which was jammed packed by the time we arrived. There is a back area with couches and beautiful decor. There is also an outside "patio" area (where we sat), also beautiful. The downside to the outside area is that you can hardly hear the music. They do serve hookah which my friend said was very good. I am not sure of the flavors. Drinks and food (we only ordered wings) were good. What I did find cute about the wings was that each flavor was named after the 5 boroughs (see attached menu) Customer service was a plus. There was a live dj on this day (not sure if they will have one everyday). Overall, very cool vibe. Hopefully it remains this way (and clean)as time goes on. A few things to be mindful of.... There is a 20% charge for the patio seating (check the receipt in the photos). Not sure why, but consider this when choosing your seating location. Additionally, we did have an issue with our bill. We were charged with a hookah refill which we did not order so he sure to check your bill thoroughly. read more

Ok yall so... I came here to celebrate my bday 1/10 im in my 30s btw lol.... when I tell you a time was had.... it was HAD!!!! our server TIFFANY was amazing from the moment we got there... I had the section by the DJ and my party of 10 turnt up... The bottle package was perfect for us... the food was greattttt... the hookah was hitting... the DJ' was doing his thang the vibe was so dope. We didn't get rush to leave our section or rushed to bring the bottles out until most of my party was there. I came here to celebrate a friends birthday! The music was great the bartender was friendly but the drinks weren't all that great! They were out of henny so my homegirl and I got the tender kiss which is a strawberry lemon drop hers was too sweet I asked not to make mine sweet it tasted like watered down liquor no lemon flavor at all! We ended up getting 2 bottles so didn't try any other drinks. The chicken sandwich although not terrible it was a frozen Patty. The lamb chops weren't to my liking at all. Now what I did not like at all is the my friend got up to use the phone and the owner took his chair and put it at a table. I got up to get the chair back and she said I can't take that. I proceeded to tell her someone was already sitting there and her response was relax. I found that to be very unprofessional. 1 if you see a group of ppl at the bar the proper thing to do is ask if the chair is being occupied 2nd to tell me to relax is disrespectful when I wasn't not hostile at all! read more

My bestie planned a party here for my bday along with her boyfriend. It's small but the DJ is nice. He plays a nice mix of music...mostly R&B and banging. The bartenders leave a little to be desired. I ordered a hurricane and it was nice but my bae's margarita needed some help. I sent it back and had her remake it. She was nice about it. The little troll looking bartender was nasty but whatevs... now there is this chef...chef Mack...he saved our night. It's painfully obvious that she's inexperienced, but the customer service level is high and that makes up it 10x. I am sitting at the bar waiting for a cheeseburger meal that I ordered exactly 30 minutes ago, from a bartender that clearly has no interest in my empty alcohol cup. The owners of this establishment clearly have no idea what it takes to run an establishment that caters to customers, especially new ones. Taking a quick look around, it is very possible that many of the clients on a Tuesday night may be regulars, therefore may be familiar with this level of service. As a busy professional, I am not. Furducken me, right? Music comes in and out with awkward silences and no fluidity between songs. Hookah only on the weekend. This is the worst bar on Post Avenue. Avoid at all costs unless you are a true masochist. Running out of words to describe how annoyed I am. Update after leaving: Two stars because the cheeseburger wound up being decent. Really only came to His & Hers a few times over the past couple of weeks because a coworker recommended it since her friend bartended there (never met this friend btw)... But anywho, I agree with another review that states His & Hers hasn't really defined itself. It has a chic lounge feel & decor, but the atmosphere & juke box make its more of a casual sports bar.. Then there's hookah and private parties in the back room. There's a lot going on, but there's plenty of potential. The drinks are decent and you're not breaking your pockets for them, though I will say i never tried any of their specialty cocktails. They ran out a couple of popular whiskeys one weekday night which seems like a red flag to me. The music is mostly coming from whatever people play on the jukebox so the mood can vary drastically. I don't know if they have a DJ on certain nights. I should mention that they had a private event in the back one night and no one enforced that they keep the door that separates the two rooms closed. I understand people get up to use restrooms or smoke in the outside patio area but at least make an announcement so guests are aware. I had to get up and close it myself a few times just to barely hear the music we played. Another note on the music... I put in $5 worth of music into the jukebox and apparently it was last call immediately after. The bartender said no one can put any more money in. Fine. My friends grabbed our drinks and proceeded to mingle. Then the lights come on. Okay. That silent indicator that we have to leave. But we haven't finished our drinks yet (and we were far from the last people in there). I asked the bartender if she could put the music back up and she refused. About one more song played and she shut it off with no regard to who had songs queued. I hope this isn't a standard practice thinking people will forget they put money in because they've had a few. Just terrible. I took it out of her tip. The service redeemed itself 1 star because, on average, the hookah comes out bad initially and they take it back to adjust it without any hassle. I'd say if you're in the area, it's a nice spot to hang out with a small group or after work and you don't feel like dealing with crowds. Definitely come here if you're the smoke & drink type. I see a handful of hookah places in Nassau County don't serve alcohol so this fits the bill. Also, I should note, there's no cover charge nor is there any security at the door. read more

His and Hers bar is my favorite hangout spot on late nights. Me and all my friends go there often but we always get the martinis. Keisha was our server and she was so sweet. She delivered the drinks in a timely manner and told us the array of cocktails that were available. The selection is great, the staff work in excellence but my one complaint is that the place seems a little dirty on the floor in the bathroom. read more

I will start off with the only reason this bar is getting two stars and that is because of the bartenders. Walked in on a Wednesday during happy hour and was greeted by Dominique who was very welcoming and explained all the specials thoroughly. She was very charming and made me and my friend feel welcomed. As we moved outside to sit on the patio she kept checking to make sure we had drinks and were well taken care of. She even mentioned all the events the bar was having over the weekend and made us feel welcomed to come back. Overall I would give her 5 stars, I was very impressed. Then the bad news, I realized my friend and I lost track of time so we quickly finished our drinks and walked to the bar and asked for our check so we could pay and get going. The new bartender (who was also very nice) seemed to have trouble finding our tab in the POS system, no big deal. What bothered me was the owners reaction. She looked at the POS system and asked us what we had to drink, we both said what we had and she said okay. I would think she would take our word on it and ring us up, but no she said oh sorry I have to wait for my daughter to get back from the store before you can leave. I felt embarrassed. This was extremely unprofessional to me, everyone at the bar was surprised and looked at my friend and I when she said it to us. It was so disrespectful that she in a sense did not trust our word. When her daughter did come back she rang it into the POS and gave us our check (which was for exactly what we told the owner). We paid our check and left, this is the first and last time I will ever enter this bar. Very inconvenient and inconsiderate. read more

I went to this place last weekend. I can't believe anyone gave this place a good review. I went on a first date thinking this place was a cool, quiet, laid back lounge. It wasn't! Not even close. I went on a Saturday evening. It was loud and raucous. Many people at the bar were very drunk and belligerent. I went up to the bar to get a drink, and this guy who was wasted started elbowing me. There was one bartender and she took awhile to get to me and was extremely slow. After the drunks cleared out it was pretty empty and quiet, finally. Then the bartender starts blasting hispanic music. I had to ask her to turn it down, which she did. But then the other bartender turned up the music. We ordered quesadillas to snack on, and they only gave us 3, and they were small. I would not go back here, or recommend this place at all. Especially to take a date to... UPDATE: This is a response to the owner's (Miriam) response to my review. Clearly you did not understand my review, nor address my concerns. My complaint in regards to the music was it was too LOUD. And it was. There were only 3 people in the bar! My complaint had nothing to do with what kind of music it was. I had to yell at my date in order to have a conversation. Your bartender was serving drinks to patrons who were already inebriated, and who were rude and disruptive. You better instruct your bartenders when to cut someone off when they're drunk before they get behind a wheel and kill someone. I got elbowed at the bar by one of these drunks. I went in on a Sunday night, and there was a decent crowd at the bar, mostly couples. I grabbed a table, and enjoyed my libation. I'm not sure if there is a menu, and I only discovered they offered hookah after it was brought out to another patron. The bartenders are super friendly, the decor needs an update, and the lights should be dimmed in the evening hours, (it was very bright). The only real issue I see with the place is that it hasn't defined itself. Is it a sports bar, a lounge, a singles spot, nice place to grab a drink with the girlfriend or boyfriend? I'll definitely be going back, but some changes should be made so it's a forethought vs. an after. BTW, the bartenders earn this place the 4th star. read more

I wish we had gone else where because there was a very limited choice of snack but also the Bar tender was pretty aggressive and she had no patience at all, and of course no smile. Didn't inform about broken credit machine till time of payment and "bartender" asked what type of soda when we ordered a "vodka soda" - also the food is a completely separate entity of the bar and they will ask for CASH payment when they bring you the food... seems like the before part of a bar rescue episode... horrible but what else can you expect out of a dive bar in Long Island.
