We were excited to find a hookah bar out in Long Island especially one with such highly rated Yelp reviews. We normally go to spots in Queens in forest hills, astoria or fresh meadows but with half of our group living on the island we decided to visit this spot. Throughout the time there we were met with disappointment and frustration one after another. I dropped my ID and CC with them and ordered some beers, old fashions and a blue mist hookah. The old fashions were described as terrible from my friends and the glass was mostly filled with ice. The hookah price is fair at $20 but the flavor was weaker than other places. We then ordered more drinks, chips and salsa, a second flavor of hookah and additional coal for the blue mist. The chips never came and the coal took maybe 30 minutes to come after flagging the servers down a few more times. With only 3 workers in the front it's impossible to get any service or attention. The only thing that we enjoyed was the music and the live dj. When it came to the bill we waited another 30-45 minutes from the time we asked for it to the time we were out the door. They say yes but never return with the bill. We then got charged for the wrong bill under my cc and they had to go through voiding it and recharging my card for the correct bill. However the void caused issues with my card so we had to use another persons cc. Overall, we came in excited but left disappointed. We spent most of our time waiting for service, didn't receive our chips, and didn't think the drinks or hookah were worth the visit. We really wanted to love this spot but don't see ourselves coming back again. read more

I've been an avid Yelper for years and I am 1000% sure that I wrote a review for this place and it was somehow taken down. I assume it's because I made mention of the owner refusing to play any Hip Hop or R&B music when we requested it several times, even though the place only had 4 other patrons, and my husband and I had already spent $75 in the 45min we were there. We asked our server what was up and he mentioned that the owner strictly tells the staff and DJ that playing Hip Hop there is against the rules and he doesn't want it in his establishment. Another birdie who works there told me that the owner said he "doesn't want to attract the wrong kind of people." Ok. It's his establishment - I get it. But I'll NEVER be back because I guess that I'm the wrong kind of people? Wish I had known this before coming, so I guess if you're black - take heed....? read more

I went here with my cousin based on a recommendation from a friend because of their yelp deal. The hooka was okay. I think my biggest complaint was the lack of customer service. We were not provided tongs at our table according to their store policy (which is fine) but that means someone should be readily available to change/turn your coal for you. I tried to wave the waitress down a couple of times and I guess she didn't see me because it took her more than an hour to realize that we were looking for her. I have been to other hooka locations which was so much better purely based off customer service. The lounge in and of itself was clean. The bathroom really wasnt. The location is nice because there is plenty of parking and they do serve alcohol here. Also they have two deals. One where if you check in, you get a free shot with a drink and the other deal was 15 for 30. You can not use both which they should have specified somewhere. They use lotus head with foil thus making the hookah harsh (no air flow) when ask to take the foil off they refused...its hookah 101 clearly they have ZERO clue on how to prepare hookah. I've come here once with two of my friends. The lounge is cute and quaint. It's a bit small but not cramped. We went on a Friday night and the staff was very attentive and friendly. It was pretty empty when we arrived at around 8ish and when we left, about two hours later, there were only a few more people (maybe 11 of us in total). The music was good. There was DJ. They place only 2 cheap quality coals in the hookah -_- The one server in the entire establishment was unattentive even though the place was pretty much empty except for one other family. Really never write reviews but I came to this place because of all the "stellar reviews" and my boyfriend and I wanted to have drinks and hookah- little did I know that half the reviews were from the owner/his family/friends. Issue 1: 1) Drinks are SMALL *Ordered a Stoli O martini and it came in a MINI martini glass-told the owner I didn't like it, and to just give me Stoli O on the rocks...smallest rocks glass I've ever seen, probably had 3/4 of an ounce in it. Owner had an attitude when I wanted to switch it. Disrespectful and inattentive. 2) "Service Charge" *Was hit with a $7 "service charge" which I thought was just an added gratuity but at the end of the bill it had "recommended gratuity". Really? 3) Too Expensive *We had one "blue mist" flavored hookah, it didn't pull well, didn't taste right, and with the two miniature rocks drinks and service charge, the bill came out to $50.00. That's ridiculous. If I wanted Manhattan hookah lounge prices, I would go to the city. All in all, this is a place you go to if you're already drunk and fucked up so you won't notice how small and over priced the drinks are. Definitely never coming back again. read more

Been to this lounge several times - it is one of the few that offer hookah and alcohol. However, the drinks are completely watered down, hookah is average. Last night would probably be the last time I visit this lounge. The bartender couldn't make the second drink any different after I informed her that the first drink was watered down. This lounge was to close at 2AM yesterday, but the server put the bill on the table at 1AM, took away the hookah and began to shut the place down at 1:30AM (music off, lights up.) In addition to this, i agree with the review below - a gratuity charge of 18% added to the bill, when the service was 0/5. I would recommend the business manager to address this with his staff. It is rare that I post a negative review but with a potential business of this kind, service is key. read more

I love this place! Been my favorite since it was even in the city! Romantic atmosphere and great drinks and music that just put you in the mood. I don't really smoke hookah, EXCEPT at Le Caire lol true story! Very friendly staff too and flexible with your requests!
