The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was great, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We just wish the food had come out a bit quicker, but overall it was a wonderful visit and we'd definitely come back again!

Food- 4/5 Besides a steak with cheese, their food is constantly delicious and filling! First they bring out bread. I put the butter in the basket to warm it a bit. The clear milk punch although it didn't come with earl grey tea and plain tea instead, it was delicious. 5/5 would recommend! As time has passed, I am still tasting it! Lasagna is delicious. Spaghetti and meatballs were tasty. Excellent 2 course lunch special with salad and main for $15! 3 courses for $5 more if I'm not mistaken. Delicious and cost effective- WOW! Service- 4/5 Always great service with attentive waiters. Seated right away and even if I come without a reservation, never waited long. Ambiance - 4/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love that it's both spacious and intimate! Feels like eating in a dining room at a family members home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 2 thumbs up and always look forward to returning.

Special: short ribs with fettuccini and sauce

The three of us were back and all of us enjoyed our meals. This time I tried a special: short ribs with fettuccini ($26). Loved the short ribs (as soft as flanken) and sauce, but the fettuccini wasn't very fresh - it stuck together and was hard in several spots (had to spit those into my napkin). No other problems. Will still return.

I didn't have high hopes for this place but it had good reviews so I thought to give it a try for LI Restaurant Week. It's located in a small strip mall. Staff were friendly when we arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was classic Italian decor. It had a fresco of "The Birth of Venus" dominating a wall[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The bread came out screaming hot. The butter came out room temperature which made it so easy to spread on the hot bread. Many times I have struggled with frozen butter. We ordered the Caesar's salad, Italian egg roll, chicken mederia and pork brocolia. The egg rolls were delicious with the oozing cheese. I didn't get a strong flavoring of pepperoni. Lovely crispy outside. The pork brocolia was amazing. It was melt in your mouth tender. The sauce wasn't too acidic but it had a nice tang. The pasta was cooked Al dente but I prefer a more tender pasta so I let it sit a little. It was just right for me after a little while. The chicken mederia was tender. The mash potatoes were nice and creamy. Every thing came out very hot. Many a time I've had pasta served warm because tomato gravy cools very quickly. I was very pleasantly surprised by the great food. Definitely worth going back.

Clemente our server was so friendly and funny. His recommendation of the specials were spot on. We had the steak which we normally dont order at an Italian restaurant but it was tender and cooked perfectly. We also had the veal parmigiana which was so tasty and a huge portion that I had to take it home. We also had the veal chop which was good and the pasta with broccoli rabe and sun dried tomatoes. Both of those dishes were too much for one ditto and we ended up taking that home too. We ended the meal with espressos and delicious dessert. Quite luscious The staff doted on us and we all enjoyed the meal. A definite place to return!

It's been awhile since I've been here but always a favorite in the neighborhood. This time I decided to try something different and I got the chicken cardinale. Absolutely delicious lightly breaded chicken and a marsala sauce with eggplant tomato mozzarella cheese. Felt very light and didn't feel heavy when I was finished. I wish more people in the neighborhood would come out here and even then some traveling to the neighborhood it's right on Carmen Avenue right off the Wantagh Highway. This is a fabulous restaurant very family oriented and inviting. They recently did a remodeling the last couple years and it looks absolutely beautiful. Yes there are more centralized Italian restaurants not far away but this is way more intimate and delicious. I'll be back again

Went for my mother in laws birthday dinner with our family. Calamari and mozzarella and tomato were very good. I like mozzarella cut thinner but it had nice fresh basil shredded on top.. Definitely a clean fry on calamari. Our salad was a nice mix. Very crisp and fresh. My Aperol spritz was delicious with a nice slice of orange. I had the filet of fish which melted in my mouth. Highly recommend the fish. My husband had a pork over mashed potatoes he said it was a little fatty. My daughter had grilled chicken with broccoli rabe and garlic, very good. Others ordered chicken parmigiana and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. We had mousse dessert, cannoli and cheesecake which were very good. The decor is basic.. nothing fancy but a a reliable local Italian fare restaurant. Wish the atmosphere was more lively but all in all thumbs up. Fish was fantastic!

Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. They also have a weekday happy hour before 6pm that looks good with deals on booze. Really enjoyed this spot! Conveniently located in the middle of garden city with ample free parking.

The Alibi was decorated beautifully and there were two really cute Photo Ops by "Platform 9 3/4" and the Wand Shop. Come here for the drinks! The Hufflepuff was bourbon forward and reminded me of an Old Fashioned which further confirmed that is truly my house. It also came with an edible golden snitch. The server pointed it out before I gave them what I thought to be decor. I popped the chocolate golden snitch in my mouth after being directed to take the wrapping off first. We then did butterbeer shots and I can't even begin to tell you how delish they were...dangerously delicious. Food was had and it wasn't anything to write about but I'll try. Queso dip is made in house, which I respect. Loaded potato wontons were a great idea and were probably the best things on the table. You can't go wrong with pretzel nuggets. Chocolate cake is never a bad idea. I ended my visit with a chocolate frog drink. Very similar to an espresso martini. You know how hot they are right now. It came with a an actual chocolate frog which was nice. Finally one of the staff members came over to help us play Bertie Botts and we all picked a jellybean. I got lemon. Some of us got soap and warwax. So fun! It was so good, we are going to try to snag another rez for trivia. Reservations are for 90 minute seatings. You pay $15 for a ticket but you get a souvenir cup with your ticket. Not mad about this because the cup is actually decent and will be used. Their next pop up will be "Slime Time". The menu wasn't overwhelming, and there were definitely many amazing options to choose from. We ended up getting the grilled octopus and burrata as starters for our table. The burrata I felt was the most underwhelming dish out of all the ones we had ordered as the bread underneath was toasted to the point that we couldn't really cut it or chew it because it was so crispy/stale and I think I would pass on this dish. The grilled octopus though? Phenomenal. I would highly recommend getting it as an appetizer for the table as the flavours of each component was just amazing and the octopus itself was perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. For entrees, we decided to share 2 pastas and a pizza and they were all amazing as well. I believe the pizza we had ordered was a spicy vodka pizza, and the crust was nice and thin and crispy, but still held up which is what I love! One of the pastas we had ordered was a ragu bolognese which was wonderful, but I think the star of the entrees was the Friday pasta special! It was tortellini in a mushroom cream sauce with lobster and other seafood and I loved how the tortellini's flavour didn't overpower the dish at all. For dessert, we ordered the cannoli cheesecake and the baked apple tart , and the apple tart definitely blew us all away! It was nice and hot on the skillet, and the flavour of the apple filling with the flaky pie/tart pastry was so delicious, especially with a bit of the melting ice cream on top! Overall, I had an amazing experience here and would definitely recommend coming here for a date night or even a group dinner!

During the winter months I'd do takeout and every time the food was great at home. I love their soba noodles salad when it's in season, however they switched to a different noodle and it doesn't have the same oomph! The owner recognizes me from all the times I've been there for dining in, takeout, called, and parties and events. I went there again last night with some family and overall it was very nice. One star deduction for the rudeness we received from the manager. She came over after we ordered a second bottle of the Freemark Abbey (wine) (as they were completely out and the first bottle we ordered was their last bottle in stock) and gave us two "similar" options that were around the same price of the first bottle. Price doesn't equal to taste. We first asked if it's okay to try it even if we may not like it, and she kindly proceeded to open the bottle. We said "no thanks," to the Keever (it tasted disgusting in comparison), which she and her colleague highly suggested, and we asked nicely if the other bottle was an option to try, but she swiftly walked back inside with both bottles and brought out an open bottle of the Katherine Cab. We liked that better. She stormed away after she said something fast and nasty like "It's either the bottle or you have to pay per glass." We didn't quite catch it but the ultimatum put a bad taste in everyone's mouths. We wound up ordering the Katherine Cab. When we got the bill the server charged us fairly. We tipped well because it's not the server's fault she was upset about opening the wine that she pushed. Happy eats!
