Terrible company - takes your deposit and then you have to chase for months to receive service, or even a response. You have to send multiple emails over a month's time to receive a response back. They make you pay up front but then stop responding once payment is processed, very shady interactions. I had to threaten legal action if they did not return my deposit and/or provide service. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I'm currently working with Historical Windows of New York on replacing 3 landmarked windows. They had pretty much done the same work to another unit in my building. That said, this is not a unique or difficult job. Their pre-sales pitch was consistent, they followed up, answered questions and etc. That all changed once the contract and checks where handed over. Complete radio silence. I gave them deposits on Friday Oct 11th. It's now November 11th over a month and I have not heard a single update nor have I seen the drawings I was promised by the sales rep Augustin. Furthermore, It's impossible to reach anyone by phone (they have no receptionist). I've called multiple times, emailed multiple times. On the occasion a did get a response, it was vague and a "update coming soon". Having just done a complete renovation of a 3 bedroom home, I know how long it take to do drawings. 3 simple windows, should not take over 4 weeks (and also considering they already did the SAME job to another unit in the building) I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Given the age and land marking of the building I had little choice. While the end result was very good, it took a year to make and install 6 windows. The salesman was newish, incompetent"and "untruthful". Later, another person took over. I was charged extra from contract price as he knew I was over a barrel. I praised their work so several neighbors used them. Dozens of windows. No recognition of that. Other jobs were easier because NYC Landmarks had already approved my work. In simple terms, excellent work. Horrible, often offensive, process. Very expensive. Almost $25k for windows. read more

We ordered three 10' x 5' custom Marvin windows for our Soho loft. Even though it took a long time to have them manufactured and shipped due to the pandemic, once they arrived, the installation team jumped into action and did a magnificent job. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and expertise of the foreman Chris, who is quite knowledgeable and was always willing to drop everything in order to answer any questions that we had. I have the same high praise and respect for his team, Mike, Sunil, and Carlos, all of whom are highly skilled craftsmen. This was a grueling, difficult job, since the windows weighed a ton and were unwieldly to install in our very irregular, out-of-alignment, mid-nineteenth-century factory building. Every morning Chris and the team arrived on time, they worked efficiently and quietly, they were always aware of dust and dirt and constantly kept the job site as clean as possible. And they did all of this with good cheer and concern for our comfort and well-being at all times. You cannot go wrong with this company. read more

I couldn't be happier with the work that Historical Windows did. They replaced two large windows and a set of French doors all of which were landmarked in my home. They replicated the details from the original windows and they came out beautifully. They protected everything, and removed and installed beautifully. They were thorough, and made sure that everything was measured several times and thoroughly went over the entire process. While we had a few delays with installation of our Lepage windows, most not having anything to do with their professionalism, once things got rolling everything was right as rain. We will be forever grateful that Joey, their phenomenal supervisor of installation, caught a facade problem that no other window contractor mentioned. Historical Windows did a tremendous job on our project - replacing windows in a pre-war co-op in a landmarked neighborhood with wood clad aluminium exterior windows. We had windows all of various and irregular sizes (some very large windows) and they measured and ordered windows that fit perfectly without any issues. They also were very responsive in explaining different options in terms of the wood and factory painting. It was a brick-to-brick installation and everything went smoothly. read more

We just worked with Historical Windows to replace all of the windows in our landmark-protected coop apartment. We chose Historical Windows after about 6 separate window companies quoted but what won us was Historical Windows's professionalism (specifically, their acct mgr, Brian) and focus on quality. They took time to understand what we wanted/didn't want and they worked with us thru the quote process. Everyone else wanted to just give verbal quotes and were pretty shady. In the end, Historical Windows owned the entire landmark review process (which is time-consuming and requires prepared diagrams, presentations, etc) and once the approval came, Historical Windows promptly installed the windows. On-site they were considerate of our home and had a smart and talented foreman to oversee the whole thing. Now, we have wonderful Marvin windows that are attractive, quiet and insulating. We would work with Historical Windows again, hands-down! read more
