Mike and I became friends since the Gold's Gym days. So when I bought a house I went to him for my window repairs and replacement. At first the price was nominal, but as the years progressed they grew to above market rate. The service was sometimes ok, but sometimes not so good. He continually changed workers and the quality showed for at times they would break the glass they were replacing!! One particular time he brought with him this young kid (who looked like he just got out of rehab) who CRACKED a window frame in 2 places while replacing a coil. No apologies, no discount on the charges, no removal of the charge. Mike simply came back with some Gorilla glue! I should of learned my lesson then. Last Spring he came to replace a glass and, again, broke the replacement glass. Keep in mind I have to fight with another window company to get the glass. He kept me with this broken glass for almost a year. He gave me a bill which I questioned for I thought he charged me to replace the glass he broke. So when I asked for a lower bill that's when Mike went off on me. I received multiple calls and texts stating how dare I ask for a lower bill. So, ok, I sent him a check for the $150. Not even a week went by when he harassed me over 2 days for the money. I had already sent the check. I shared with him that his behavior was out of line and disrespectful, he again went off on me on how I was wrong and he was right. I asked for a simple apology and he responded: "lol". So my warning is Mike has no respect for "the customer is always right". If you piss him off he will come at you guns blazing. read more

So, I would never recommend this place to anyone. They installed two windows and the lack of care and detail was appalling. They did not fully paint the windows, patch up nail holes or install them correctly. We tried contacting them to fix and they blew us off. We now have drafty and poor looking windows installed. This guy is an absolute animal. I asked for an estimate and when i told him I didn't like the price he cursed me out and threatened my life. I have a police report open on this scum of a human. Don't give him your business. There are many other reputable window companies in the area. So unless you want to be yelled at and have your life threatened, I suggest you stay away. read more

This place tried hard but just doesn't make the grade: The product itself was fine, a well made window, but the install was another story. A call came on friday for a hurry up install the next morning. he was doing me a favor by "squeezing me in" since the one window was such a small job. I should say here the sale was almost not made because of he single window job. he showed up at 9:30 am, one guy for a rather large window. I had my doubts. he asked for step stool, paper towels, dust pan, and if I had molding....?? after a trip to Home depot, he returned to finish. One window, a small job, 5 HOURS!!!. and a mess was left all for me to clean up, how nice. Don't buy here. Instead Windows We Are does a much better and very fast clean job, and they send 2 guys!! read more

Complete disaster. Don't use them. Delays in the windows. Wrong windows ordered. Refused to get the correct windows. Left with no option but to have them installed. Strong arm tactics to get paid. Inexperienced installers - owner knew the install was sub par but just wanted to get in and out and get paid - no genuine interest or concern for his customers. Major water intrusion issues. Don't be conned into work with them. Whatever deal they offer. Just walk away and work with someone else. For your piece of mind and budget. We're $$$ in additional costs to make good the crappy work they did. The warranty they gave meant nothing. read more

Mike and his team are great guys, highly professional and did an amazing job replacing 5 custom windows in my old brownstone. The communication was excellent. Mike was quick to respond to all of my question and concerns. He even took the extra time to instruct my tenants on the proper care and how to clean the newly installed windows. I'm not sure if the lack of consideration shown was due to them knowing I was only a tenant in the apartment and not the person who was paying them. They showed up four hours late without ever having told me they were running late, which they didn't even mention let alone apologize. They scraped the paint off the window frame in a 120 year old building, leaving lead paint dust and chips all over my kitchen, then used my broom without asking because their vacuum battery was dead. There is still dust everywhere. The window frame looks like crap, I guess the window they installed is nice... They need a huge training on lead paint if they are going to be doing renovation in older homes, which the majority of apartments in nyc are. Anyway definitely don't hire them if you have kids, are pregnant or ever plan to be, or care about exposure to neurotoxins in your house. Also don't go to a job site without your tools, including those needed for cleanup! read more

Just bought an old house with original drafty windows. Mike was a pleasure to work with. Airlite Windows stand by their windows 100%. They just finished installing 20 windows and completed the work in just two days. The installers were very neat and professional. They took away all of the old windows and debris. The owner Mike is a pleasure to work with. I was looking all over to get a household screen replaced. I brought the screen in and he was able to remake it for me. Any online sites I found wanted $40 for shipping for the screens- that's as much as the price of the screen. I was very happy to find this company. read more

They installed replacement windows for my complete home. It was a large job so my wife and I did a lot of research. We chose them after checking out all of the competition in the area. They were not only the cheapest but we felt very comfortable with them. The job was done in a professional manner.
