Called here to check availability of a rv, was told web price was the best they could do, then the text me a out the door price then send me a buyers agreement 2k above that. $799 dealer fee added also, never even went to lot, fee after fee added to final price. Buyer beware. The $798 is probably tax tags title, $300 admin fee, $200 for propane-wash and demonstrate trailer to me. This is the main reason I never even came to look it. Since you basically called me a liar, I uploaded the photo of buyers agreement you sent me. I really have no issue with you saying that's the price and best I can do, fine I went elsewhere, the added fees sent me to another dealer. 5/7/19 I see you have edited your response to me 3 times already, let's be honest Dave. That buyers agreement has $690 in fees beyond the selling price, when I see stuff like that I go elsewhere. If you had not sent me this I more than likely would come to look at it, I work hard for my money and spend it wisely. These fees are all padded to make the dealership money, which your in business to make. I don't pay an admin fee, you have to do that to sell it anyway so why would I pay a padded fee so you can sell it ? Buyer beware. Bought my first camper back in June 2024. First month had leaks and found roof was not properly sealed. Then took it because none of wiring to back up camera and winegard internet was hooked up properly and kept my camper for two months. Service kept saying they are backed up or not enough help. Which i get. Family and i were camping this week, and the thermostat stopped working during the middle of the night. Family woke up to it being 41. Cut our trip short and call service no response until i emailed my sales guy (Les which he is great) then service call me back. They can't get me in because they're backed up with demo work and prep other people's camper, so I lose money on our next trip. Tried to see if they would trade it in due to the issues and want to give me half what I spent on it. I just feel they want your sale/ money, and you are stuck what they sell you. Just make sure you check everything because they could care less of the quality they sell as long as they get your money. Thanks HITCH RV - Delaware for treating your customers like they are family. Highly disappointed in them and definitely don't recommend anyone using them. read more

I am so incredibly disappointed to say that my excitement over our experience with Hitch RV has forever been changed. I am appalled with how the after sale customer service was handled. We were bounced around for months trying to secure the items we were promised that were damaged during our walk through. These items were promised and signed off on by the service manager, Whisky. We've we're put off. Lied to. Completely disregarded. Never called back. Had we known the damaged items in our unit would not be handled as promised, we certainly would not have completed the sale. No one wants to purchase a brand new RV with damages. Integrity is so incredibly important and Hitch RV is proving they do not have that. I am uncertain how they could just to something, in writing, sign off on it, and then just disregard it, as if the papers were never signed. Whisky signed it. We signed it. It was a binding agreement. one of which, as I said above, we counted on when agreeing to the purchase. If you are looking to shop with an RV dealer with integrity, go elsewhere. One star is far too many for the way we were treated. read more

When we first bought our RV we were so excited as we found the model we had been looking for. After we received ownership of it we started to get a leak in our front slideout. We contacted Hitch and they took our rig for an entire winter and could not duplicate the issue. I am not sure how they could not do it as all you have to do it run a hose over the slide. We have been back and forth with the facility since 2020 about this. They have looked at it a number of times and only this year did they find that the seal is faulty. They replaced the seal and the issue is still happening. Here to find out the seal was too small and now the leak is even worse. We cannot let our slide out in during rain which makes our living room unusable. We were told they were ordering a new seal that actually fits back in August only to find out that the team member in charge of ordering parts had an life threatening event occur(hopefully he is better now) and teat our parts was never ordered. Are we to believe that there is only 1 person in the entire facility that has the ability to order parts? We finally gave up on speaking with the Service Dept and contacted the Manager of the store. His response was that the issue is not fixed not for lack of trying. He than gave us the option of installing a $500 slide topper as a temp fix until the new seal comes in(no date given yet). So an issue that is not our fault that this company has not been able to fix is now giving us an option to spend more money to take care of their incompetency. You've got to be kidding me! read more

Will NEVER deal with Hitch RV again. With the exception of Gary, and Whisky (who I only dealt with once), ever single interaction with this company was awful! We bought a brand new unit and for 4 years have struggled with any repair or service we have needed. We were quoted prices that doubled when we actually got there and have been blatantly lied to. Today, we actually traded our trailer in and had an amazing experience! Grateful to never have to set foot in Hitch RV again. Amanda is horrible and can't trust a word she says. I wouldn't even give this dealership 1 star. Absolutely the worst experience ever. We paid $18,500 cash for a trailer back in March. We have yet to receive the title. We have called numerous times. They will not return our calls , emails or texts. We just called again and they hung up on us. We now have to obtain an attorney To get the title. We have dead tags because we have not been able to register it in our names. We can not put it on our lot and it sits in our driveway unusable. read more

Had trouble installing brake controller that I provided, ended up doing it myself! Since it was a used trailer, had to go through state inspection and they found one brake was inoperative but easily repaired. Called HitchRV knowing exactly what my wife and I wanted (wildwood 263bhxl) and got in touch with Lonnie. We agreed on a price and a pick up date. The trailer was at their New Jersey location but they transferred it to Delaware for me at no cost so it was easier for me to pick up. Everyone at the dealer was pleasant and helpful while we were there for our walk through and delivery. Our trailer does have an issue that they found during their PDI inspection, they were open and upfront about it and assured me parts were ordered already. While I don't necessarily like having a brand new trailer with an issue, things happen outside of their and my control and I appreciate their honesty. Natalie, in finance, was great to deal with and didn't try to push us into extended warranties or add ons, which I also appreciate. Overall a great experience, especially compared to another local dealer that wouldn't even return our calls when we tried to buy the trailer from them before contacting HitchRV. Mark Logan read more

I leave out of state and I got the best price for my 5th wheel. Both Lonnie Steele and Natalie Bruce are the best individuals that made my purchase very easy. Lonnie is an excellent sale person that keep communicating with me about my trailer. He made sure that he took pictures of the trailer at time of pick up and sent them to me. Natalie Bruce was awesome financially handling my purchase. She took care of all my out of state sales and registration documents which made things easier for me. I totally recommend if you want to purchase a trailer out of state call Lonnie at Hitch RV. read more

This place needs to look at there whole operation. This was the worst customer service experience we have ever had. All this place cares about is getting a sale after that they dont care. The service department is horrible. I have called multiple times for things that needed fixing and never received a return call. So I have had to fix things myself on a brand new camper. My pickup day kept being pushed back due to parts not being there in time. I'm still curious as to were parts go on a brand new camper. Once they finally called for a pickup day it was not ready I was there for over 3 hours. I was there at least 1 hour just waiting on a temp tag that I had to put on myself. I dont reccomend this place to anyone.Terrible experience and will never buy from them again read more

Bought a camper from them recently, wasn't setup for a walk thru as requested when I came in to sign the paperwork. The only person who worked to make things right was the finance girl. Over 30 days since I signed the papers and they took possession of my trade and I'm getting calls from the bank about a past due payment. Called the dealership they have not paid it off yet!!!!! No reason or excuse given. So now I have to wonder if they will get a new 10 day payoff or will I be getting a bill from the bank. Will it hit my credit or not. If it does hit my credit or I get a bill from the bank I will be calling a lawyer. Just another shady RV dealership is the picture that I'm getting, just like the other one down the road from them. Yelp forces me to give them a 1 star, so it's for the finance girl So now that my temporary tags are dead I get a call from Hitch RV figuring that they have my tags and want me to come pick them up even though I had told them to mail them to me. But nope they called to tell me that my camper needs to go thru state inspection. What kind of dealership doesn't know this in advance of the sale? I can tell you, one that doesn't know what they are doing. So they are going to send someone out tomorrow and pick it up and run it thru inspection and bring it back. I will update again on the outcome of this fiasco. As to Scott H.'s comment- when I got the call from the bank about the loan not being paid off I called Hitch repeatedly and was given the run around, no excuse why it was taking so long almost 45 days!!! The reason the amount was wrong is because they exceeded the 15 day payoff. I was finally contacted by the Business Manager from the NJ office but only after I had left numerous messages and she never called until I mentioned calling an attorney. I informed her then to make sure and get a new payoff, which didn't happen, I contacted the bank when they received the check that was short, I called the Business Manager and informed her. Took another 3 days to get the account closed. So "Dropped the ball" not even in the same ball park. More like "We forget who you are once we have your money". Oh I will enjoy my camper and I won't be coming back to Hitch RV nor while I ever refer anyone to you. Wonder how long it will be before I get my tags, not holding my breath. read more

I worked the better part of a day to reach an agreement on a unit with a sales rep. We agreed on price and I asked until the next morning to review it with my wife. He said that was fine. I followed up with an email saying it was a formality and inquired about hours and payment method. I emailed the next morning to confirm and heard nothing. Finally after calling and leaving a message I received a note that they sold the unit to another customer. He claims there was no contract. I would like to think there should be some credibility, good faith and ethics involved. I would caution anyone from doing business with them. read more

I visited this place on a Saturday, and picked a camper to purchase. I was told i could come back Monday to pick it up, however I decided to wait till Thursday (which gave them 3 more days to prepare it). I arrived Thursday and had to wait 3 hours past closing to finally hook it to my truck. After hooking up, and doing a walk through we realized some of the amenities were missing; such as tv brackets, the outdoor grill, a tv (the salesman said was no big deal to include), and most importantly the keys. They managed to find a grill. An entire month has gone by, and none of my items have been sent to me as promised. I made several calls to try to solve the issue, and was told every time that my parts would be sent to me. I had to go on my first camping trip with no keys!! The only person that did a great job was their finance person. She is the only one that returned my call, and took care of things that i needed (my title and tag). I hope that my experience was a fluke, and hopefully they get back to me to make this right. read more

The sales people need to be more informative . When first time buyers come in they need to tell them all the alturnatives from (30am to 50 amp )example. We have had a terrible experience with Hitch RV! I purchased a toy hauler from them at an RV show on 9/13/19 but they said it wouldn't be ready for pick up until between 9/23/19-9/27/19. Ok no big deal, our vacation isn't until 10/11/19...so I call on 9/21/19 to ask if I could set up our pick up and demo, and they said we don't have it yet but we'll definitely have it by the 27th. Fine. Call on the 27th nope we don't have it. Ok, now I'm getting worried our vacation is approaching. But I was reassured it will definitely be here by next week. Next week comes, no camper! They PROMISE, it will be here by 10/9/19 2 DAYS BEFORE OUR VACATION!!!! But, don't panic, we'll get you on your vacation! At this point every time I call, they are all so nice and always say we are gonna make this work for you, let me go see what I can do to make this work and I'll call you back! With no return phone call!! I've never made a review in my life until today, that's how upset I am! Take your business elsewhere! read more

I'll start by saying the staff was nice and helpful. However, our 5th wheel (2020 Forest River 365 Wolfpack Pack 16) was NOT ready to go as promised. There were a number of defects that required repair before we were able to drive It off the lot. This is the 4th camper I've bought, so I've learned to be very thorough on the walk-through. In addition, there was a hole in the front shell that will need fiberglass repair. The owner signed off that they would pay for the repair once I provided them with an estimate. We'll see how that works out. I want to single out both Mike and Neff. They really bent over backwards to fix everything I pointed out, answer the list of questions I had and helped me hitch the unit to my truck. Had it not been for their efforts, I would have hitched my trade-in back to my truck and headed home (3 hr drive) WITHOUT taking the new camper. read more

Our brand new, $84,999 Class A RV, purchased in June of 2016 from Hitch RV in Milford DE, has been in the shop more than it has been on the road. Slide out leaks, the bathroom shower floor is not properly supported, and the shower is leaking so much that it puddles in the hallway and on the bathroom floor. They have evaluated it for repairs, but I can't get anyone to call me back to let us know their plans to fix all of our warranty issues. Our retirement dream of RV travel has turned into an RV nightmare. read more

I did lots of research for what I wanted and got a sunset trail 24 foot travel tailer.so the transaction went fine[that means they can take your money fast]. so we pick it up and that was a feat in itself because you get put off for one reason or another. anyway the mechanic went over the systems with us and showed how to hook-up.so far not to bad rite? wrong we set out on our trip and the inside fridge doesn't work. all our food went bad.we were 200 mlies from them and phone calls were taken only to be put on the list to bring it back when we return.so a month without the fridge on the trip.we bring it back and another month passes still no fridge.the service people have a script of bull a mile long.I finally had to call the district attorney's office to lodge a complaint.this led to them taking a fridge from another unit to put into mine.other things like holes in awning still weren't addressed.beware because there's a reason why so many rvs are in the back waiting to be fixed. read more

Sales were great! Service leaves a lot to be desired. Bought a new camper 5 months ago still cant use all of our investment. When we bought the camper it took 3 weeks to get it ready to pick up. The door to the outside kitchen got locked down and we were told not to use it and they were ordering a new door. It took 3 months to order a door for our outside kitchen. They finally got it in but I had to call to find out it was there. I told them my fiancé and I would be out of town could it be fixed in two weeks. I was assured that would be enough time. Fast forward 3 weeks still no camper and they don't know when it will be done!! supposedly when I called 2 days ago it just needed the ice maker installed. Made them aware its now been 3 weeks!! wanted to go camping this weekend guess that's not happening. All we get is excuses and people saying they will call but the phone calls never come. A little communication goes a long way people! According to all of your service people you don't have enough people to handle to the work load. I sent 2 friends there both purchased campers both had extremely bad experiences one of them his camper still isn't right. Embarrassed that I sent them there!! I think you need to take a look at your service department that seems to be what everyone's complaint is...My fiancé is ready to hire a lawyer and get out of the whole thing, so frustrated. read more

HORRIBLE beyond words!!!!! I bought a travel trailer in August of 2015. I paid in cash installments for a used trailer. It was a dream of mine to buy a trailer (15 years in the making and I was SO excited to finally be able to do this...it was to be my home while I travelled and started my own business). The staff was initially nice... however they seemed annoyed that I was paying in increments over several different stops their in person. The treatment I received as a paying customer was HORRENDOUS and that is being nice! When the manager, Ron Lusby, came back from being gone for a while, all of the staff became very rude. I paid my final payment, received a "paid in full" bill of sale and the keys to my trailer.. a wonderful day .. it SHOULD have been but was HORRIBLE. I was told I was NOT ALLOWED to take my own paid for trailer off the parking lot... WHY? I had no idea but I did some digging around the area and found out a possible reason why....(which I did not know until after the fact). All I knew was that I was forbid to take my own property (the recently purchased Trail Lite travel trailer which I purchased for approximately $2,400 off their property! I was there alone as a women so I felt very intimated by these men who were actually hostile towards me. I brought back with me another person (a male) thinking that if I had a male with me they would treat me with more respect but they STILL refused to allow me to take my trailer instead they MADE up some lies and had my male companion ARRESTED and I STILL LEFT WITHOUT MY PROPERTY!!!!. I then had to have an acquaintance who I recently met pull the trailer himself with their permission. They NEVER sent me the TITLE to this trailer.. although they CLAIMED TO but it was never received when they claimed to have mailed it. I found out from other local resources that the reason that I had such problems was possibly because they (Hitch RV) had not paid the bank for this trailer that they had on their lot and therefore if I took it off their property that they (Hitch RV) would be charged legally.... (I HAD NO IDEA OF THIS AT THE TIME). Needless to say.. the treatment their as a customer.. I felt very intimidated and they even called the police on me when I simply stopped by to ask for the title... which I still have not received from them and it is NOVEMBER 2015!!!! read more
