The manager assured me that they intended resolve our situation. We agreed to bring our trailer back to their facility on 11/17 for a seventh time so that they can show us what they have and had done to try and find the shower leak. The manager also requested I spend the day if necessary to witness their work. I agreed since our goals were the same - find and fix the leak. Since our trailer has been winterized, covered and put to bed for the winter Driftwood agreed to re-winterize our trailer at no cost.

I called ahead of time (2 hours prior to arriving) and asked if the battery could be charged. Got there and that was a no go... they offered a start up package which I had to ask for and wait to be prepared, and the temp tag wasn't ready either. Okay it's our first day and I'm just stressed things will get better. They absolutely got worse! I was assured time and time again that because it comes with a "service contract" I had nothing to worry about. I found old food in the bottom of the freezer ( I am 4'11 so I didn't see this when I saw the trailer).I found dirty used underwear under the bed, among a bunch of other trash. It was still winterized. I paid $17,000 for this trailer, Bob the manager just kept putting me off to service and service admitted that they are overwhelmed and it wasn't looked at. Now the big issues. My hot water heater is leaking, they didn't give me the keys to the front door and the backdoor wouldn't stay shut without being locked. When I reached out to service they said they couldn't give me a day, let alone a time someone would be out. I go to the pool and come back and some guy is in my trailer, no identifying information either on his truck or his shirt. Didn't introduce himself and I specifically told them the service guy had to call because I had pets in the camper that could not get out. He fixed the doors but almost a month later my hot water heater is still leaking on my floor, the lights on my awning flicker on and off, the speaker goes in and out, the seal to the slide fell off, there are bubbles on my slide roof and a few other things that I've asked them to come look at. My next call/email will be to consumer affairs of New Jersey.

We left that day and returned with a deposit to hold the camper and start the buying process a few days later. Unfortunately, we were not able to close the deal. When I asked about our deposit being returned, I was told 7-10 business days. Ok, no big deal. One week, two weeks...a month goes by and nothing. I called to speak to someone and was directed to Zack. I spoke to Zack and was told that the request had been sent to corporate, but being that it was Saturday, he would have to wait until Monday to call and see what information he could find out for me and that he would return my call that following Monday. Again, no big deal. I received no call. Another 3 weeks go by....nothing. I called again on 7/1/26 to speak to Zack, he wasn't in. I was directed to Dan and once again explained the situation. I was told that since Zack wasn't in, he would have to wait to speak to Zack when he got in later that day, and that either he or Zack would get back to me that afternoon. Again, no one called, emailed, or left me a voicemail. Being that it has been two months now with no communication from Forest River as to where our deposit is, I felt that I had to leave a review to warn other potential customers. I have been nothing but incredibly patient throughout this whole process. I have called twice in two months. Unfortunately, Forest River lacks in their communication skills and customer service. I guess since our deal didn't go through, we are not as important as any other customer and don't deserve the same respect. Beware of leaving deposits....you may have to fight tooth and nail to get your REFUNDABLE deposit back, IF you ever get it back.

As I was waiting for it to be done my rep and the mechanic come out and tell me I need brakes and if I wanted them to do it. I had hardly used the RV and the mechanic said that sometimes on GMC'S the brake controller is not right. Well I told them I would take it to my mechanic to have the brakes done. After I dropped the RV off at my mechanic ,they told me to come get it that I didn't need brakes . It was 3 or more years later that I needed brakes. Another incident : I had to have a new roof put on RV (over $10,000). About a year after it was done I went in for my forever warranty inspection and was told the roof needed new seals ($1200).How is this possible they just did the new roof less than a year ago. So, I had them redo seals on roof. Now less then a year later I am getting ready for a trip and my bed is wet. I go up on the roof and the seal on fan over my bed is severly cracked. Call General RV and let them know ( they only warranty seals for 3months). There answer was it was a rough year weather wise for seals. How about that for bullshit!!Every year must be a rough year for seal . It's either that or forbid I say maybe they don't know what they are doing at their work establishment. Needless to say I am going to let my forever warranty expire just so I don't have to deal with such incompetence and thievery. It a shame that we RVer's have to deal with companies like this. From the first time I spoke with the service manager Susan through working with a technician Peter, and finally the manager Ed, it could not have been a more professional, personal, and pleasant experience. That buyers agreement has $690 in fees beyond the selling price, when I see stuff like that I go elsewhere. If you had not sent me this I more than likely would come to look at it, I work hard for my money and spend it wisely. These fees are all padded to make the dealership money, which your in business to make. I don't pay an admin fee, you have to do that to sell it anyway so why would I pay a padded fee so you can sell it ? I called the millford police, but they were totally worthless. Adam the sales manager lied to the cop stating that I wanted that work done. And even though I had a contract with the two items to fix listed on it and there was no reference to an antenna or electronic replacement, still the cops did nothing. these are the same cops that arrest shoplifters, but not criminal businesses. *********DO NOT SHOP HERE********

The photos attached says it all. They literally patched a leak with molding used in a home and not an RV. Of course as an inexperienced buyer we never saw that. The walk through is your last chance to back out and we didn't. These crooks have tons of fake reviews on Google to keep their ratings up. Unless you're buying a brand new camper from them, stay away.
