Lipstick on my glass. I didn't wear lipstick today. I emphatically said no pork or bacon on my food. Said it twice. Into the kabob I thought it was an onion and it was bacon. I got there at 3:50 pm. Ten minutes before lunch was over. And during their happy hour (several meals as well as drinks to choose from). The Sirloin with 2 sides is only around $13 compared with almost double that on the dinner menu. Good specials on drinks too. Summer took great care of me. She's excellent. Even though baked potatoes aren't supposed to be ready that early she got me one. I got the lunch rib plate, which is a huge beef rib (although a little smaller than it used to be). It was mostly meat and not much fat. Way too much for me to eat, it provided lunch the next day as well. I brought home a burger to my wife, which was also cooked perfectly. It's a fun old-fashioned place to go to. Lots of animal heads on the walls and cowboy type things. This is in the old Sizzler right off the freeway and just into Oregon. They are owned by the same people as Indian Creek steak in Caldwell. Happy hour and lunch prices are very good, dinner prices can easily be $50 or more. their happy hour runs until 6 o'clock every day, which is great. read more

Menu prices for lunch are the same for dinner - HIGH. $50 for a steak? Eek. I went for a quick lunch but the menu was so limited that that alone was a disappointment. I just can't justify spending the money on a previous Sizzler environment. It's not fit for a "quick lunch" type of place. My opinion is that it just feels like they're struggling so they need to charge high to cover losses. I'd suggest building more menu items, at smaller portions to suit more palates and needs. Like maybe lunch specials. I know prices everywhere are just high in general, and eating out nowadays is a luxury, and I totally get they need to cover their costs as well, but sometimes you're willing to spend it when the environment is lovely and the food is great. This restaurant was not a place that I was pleased in spending this much for lunch. Most reasonable priced item was a nearly $20 burger that was definitely not worth the money. The fries are fresh cut but are just not great - flimsy fries do not excite me. The lunch menu selection in general is dismal. I just kept looking at the menu, hoping something would entice me but it's really just a steak or a burger option. Or chicken strips. Not many options, not many price points. The interior is a little sad too. It just doesn't feel like a nice place. I pulled up and assumed they were closed. The door that faces where you pull up is a closed side door, so you gotta walk around a smidge. Just wasn't inviting. The service was excellent and friendly and attentive. We arrived for dinner around 5pm Sunday night. The hostess welcomed us and sat us. Our server arrived about 7 minutes later and apologized for taking so long. We ordered cocktails and dinner. The bartender brought us our drinks. When we arrived there were only 4 tables. The dinner salad was good but small in portion . We waited a long time for our entrees. We saw them in the kitchen window by the time our server picked them up the steaks were warm and baked potatoes were cool. The fry bread was very good. Also the house baked beans. Let's start this off by saying the service was good. The food however was just barely ok. The prime rib was tough. The 18 oz ribeye was cooked to perfection, really good. So apparently Uber or Lyft are not available in this town. So had to settle for what's around here, after reading the reviews I was very hesitant to go here, but this was one of our closest options. Initially going into the building, one of the doors was locked facing the street so we go around to the side of the building and going through there , the girl apologized and unlocked the door. Overall, this feels like a place that caters to men. The way the girls are dressed screams "give me a tip" Food and was a bit salty, and a bit under cooked. I got the burger and fries. Well, I am leaving Cowboy's Bar and Grill extremely satisfied. My server, Carissa, was friendly and very efficient. As far as the food is concerned, the house made ranch dressing was outstanding on my salad to start the meal. The sirloin steak I ordered came perfectly seasoned and cooked as requested. No steak sauce necessary. The baked potato, ranch beans, and fry bread filled out the plate and made it difficult for me to leave my booth -- I had to leave part of the potato on the plate. Personally, with the amount of food I was given, I have no complaints about the price. The atmosphere was relaxing for a Wednesday early dinner. Casual and inviting older restaurant with country music playing and friendly staff. We had dinner with several couples there this evening. Mainly burgers, sandwiches and steaks. The good-Service was excellent and attentive. Burgers were good and salads were excellent. Prices are a little on the high side but reasonable for what you get. The bad-Several pieces of silverware weren't clean. One of the burger orders was incorrect. Jojo's were way overdone, almost burned. All in all, I would go back and give it another try. Anyone can have an off day. One thing I would suggest though. We observed 4 guys come out of the bar, quite noticeably intoxicated and get in a truck and drive away. They were obviously a DUI waiting to happen. Not a good look for any restaurant. read more
