We arrived for dinner around 5pm Sunday night. The hostess welcomed us and sat us. Our server arrived about 7 minutes later and apologized for taking so long. We ordered cocktails and dinner. The bartender brought us our drinks. When we arrived there were only 4 tables. The dinner salad was good but small in portion . We waited a long time for our entrees. We saw them in the kitchen window by the time our server picked them up the steaks were warm and baked potatoes were cool. The fry bread was very good. Also the house baked beans. Our server brought our bill and cleared our plates. We waited for her to return and pay. She never did. We got up and paid on the way out. The restaurant was full by the time we left. Let's start this off by saying the service was good. The food however was just barely ok. The prime rib was tough. The 18 oz ribeye was cooked to perfection, really good. Well, I am leaving Cowboy's Bar and Grill extremely satisfied. My server, Carissa, was friendly and very efficient. As far as the food is concerned, the house made ranch dressing was outstanding on my salad to start the meal. The sirloin steak I ordered came perfectly seasoned and cooked as requested. No steak sauce necessary. The baked potato, ranch beans, and fry bread filled out the plate and made it difficult for me to leave my booth -- I had to leave part of the potato on the plate. Personally, with the amount of food I was given, I have no complaints about the price. So apparently Uber or Lyft are not available in this town. So had to settle for what's around here, after reading the reviews I was very hesitant to go here, but this was one of our closest options. Initially going into the building, one of the doors was locked facing the street so we go around to the side of the building and going through there , the girl apologized and unlocked the door. Overall, this feels like a place that caters to men. The way the girls are dressed screams "give me a tip" Food and was a bit salty, and a bit under cooked. I got the burger and fries. Went here with the family for a nice sit-down meal. The wait staff was fun to talk to but the service was a little slow. The ambiance is generally that of a family restaurant, very utilitarian with little in the way of decor. They fired all the steaks exactly as we liked them. Dinner salad plain with great cukes and tomatoes and croutons on good iceberg lettuce. Good though. Entree fantastic. Best steaks out we might ever had. Definitely best we remember. Only down side. Baked potato was ok, but that was all I got along with a very small portion of cowboy beans (something I don't usually eat) with no other option offered. And Why does every restaurant assume you want the stupidly sweet honey butter with the bread. (Which was ridiculously small). How about offering regular butter without me having to ask.
