However, when the prescription was fulfilled, the pharmacist advised not to take it if breastfeeding an infant at his age. We then reached back out to the doctors office while they were open and talked to their call center staff who reached out to the office. A different doctor responded and said not to take that medicine as it says it shouldn't be taken by an infant under 1 month. So we asked if they could write us a new prescription. The staff member said now that they were closed we'd have to wait until the next day. We said we were going to go to a different urgent care to get a new prescription and we asked if we could get our co-pay back. When we were enroute, someone else from their call center called us and said that she'd try reaching out to the doctor directly who wrote the prescription to see if he could send a new prescription; but that she wasn't sure he'd answer. We were ok with this and advised that we again weren't going to wait for another day due to the infection causing fever, chills, etc... so were enroute to another urgent care. Once arriving at the other urgent care and just prior to getting checked in, they called back and advised they would send out a new prescription. The issue this time was now they sent it to a closed pharmacy and we had to ask them to transfer it to an open one. But when they transferred it, the insurance then denied covering 3 medicines for the same illness due to it being asked to treat the same infection 3 times. So we had to pay out of pocket for the new medicine at the pharmacy that was now open. It's ridiculous that the doctors here don't listen. We've also had issues with our physicals being done here as they'll send them to the lab with the wrong GL codes. Needless to say, we're moving our PCP's away from this office and will chose another Urgent care for treatment around town. They could make this right by refunding us our co-pay, but i doubt they'll even read this review.

I took the medicine and recovered after I finished the medicine. Amy was very friendly and answered my questions on the doctors and clinic/office operations. 2nd visit was for my pain at the back of the ankle (achilles) for almost 3 months. Don walked in with a huge smile and very friendly and checked my foot and found a bump at the back of heel that needed x-ray to confirm. (when I saw my podiatrist twice in the last month, he didn't even notice it). only problem is the x-ray order form had a wrong address that I ended up driving around to find the correct location. I've decided to make an appointment with the MD in the house to see if I can change my PCP to this location for convenience. earliest appointment is 2 months away, hopefully this is bc MD is on travel, and not a typical trend for scheduling. but at least the PAs were knowledgeable and the staffs were very friendly. When I met him, he seemed very knowledgeable and patient with my questions and concerns. He seemed like he actually read through the thick patient intake packet I completed. He was warm and genial. He didn't seem to be in a huge rush to get me out of the door. I was pleased with my experience, and felt that the wait was worth it. When I got my lab work done, I messaged Dr. Virk but never received a response from him, only from his staff stating they had sent the message to him. When I tried to call, I left a callback number after a long wait and was never called back, though the automated message stated I was next in line. I left another message on the patient portal explaining this and my availability in trying to schedule an appointment. I did receive a call and voicemail the following morning. When I called back, I immediately received an answer and was able to schedule a phone visit within a few weeks. My previous doctor's office allowed people to schedule appointments online through their patient portal or via text, which I found helpful. I do wish this was the case with this office. I also wish I could see after visit care instructions and information on the patient portal, as I can be forgetful with verbal instructions and would like to be able to refer back on the specific directions my doctor has given. Fast forward to this week, I call to confirm my appointment and I'm told they don't have one for me until May, another 5 weeks without medication. When I asked how this could have happened, the person I was talking with said they don't know, and there's nothing that could be done. The level of professionalism is seriously lacking with their appointment setter and level of care provided when speaking with someone that had a genuine concern for their own health, wasn't just disrespectful, but to brush it off as they did was more upsetting than them dropping the ball on my appointment. I hope their calls are recorded so management can pull the call and hear it for themselves. I had to call my insurance and change PCP's, my new doctors office heard what happened, seen me today and got me all squared away. Horrible patient relations here. They don't seem to care and make customers feel like a number. I switched the next day to Dr. Ahn. Like night and day, Dr. Ahns office is friendly and professional. I would not recommend Central City Community. Their office is not run well and ghetto.
