I'm not a fan of going to the dentist. However, I went yesterday and had an amazing visit! The team is professional and welcoming.

I didn't…read morehave a dentist here and quite honestly, it had been a while since I had an actual regular dentist. I had been looking, online, and found Dr. McCarthy. I had been "just looking" on previous occasions, loved her website, but had not made up my mind until I was actually in desperate need. Others popped up in the search, but her office was the first one I called. I guess it just felt right. I left a message and they got back to me right away. We set up an appointment to check out the tooth. Everyone I encountered were really great, made me feel at ease. Made another appointment to have tooth extracted, which was good being the morning of, it had gone nuclear in the pain dept. Again, the staff and Dr. McCarthy, made everything go along fine. So, that convinced me to see about becoming a regular patient. I recently had xrays, exam, cleaning... I cannot complain. They are awesome. I honestly couldn't ask for a better dentist or dental staff (especially, Betty, who did a great job on the heavy duty cleaning my toofers needed)!

It's frustrating when patients make time for appointments only to have them changed over and over again. Hopefully, the office improves its scheduling process and values patients' time as much as patients value theirs. Office needs REPLACED cause she is No HELP!!

She spent a lot of time with the prob to…read moremake sure I knew how much gum tissue I was losing (I am 79) and this is important to me as I want to keep my teeth as long as possible. She was very good taking my xrays as sometimes even that can be hurtful but it was not. After taking the xrays she explained clearly that I was experiencing bone loss and provided suggestions. I saw Dr. Lovick who checked my teeth when Karen was finished. He was pleasant, professional and explained what needed to be done (2 crowns and a scaling for a total of $$3,192.00) and I was provided a detailed treatment plan. The cost of the cleaning and xrays was $242.00 which I feel is about the going price for that service. I felt the receipt could have been more detailed as to what was done instead of just the cost (i.e. cleaning, xrays, I'm not sure if I got flouride or not). This was my first visit to this practise and overall compared to other dental practices, I would say it is "ok". The reason for the "ok" is that I had to wait a long time to get an appointment. I need to have my teeth cleaned twice a year and could not get a followup cleaning appointment until May of 2027 and I was there on July 16 of 2026. In my opinion, I should be able to get in every six months for a cleaning when scheduling so far in advance. The girl at the front desk for check in was pleasant. The girl checking out was "ok". I did not get names for the check in and check out people. I am on the fence about returning mostly because of the long wait to schedule cleaning appointments when I need them every six months. I will review again, if I return with an update.

I found Dr. Coco as a referral from a friend and haven't seen disappointed. They are a small…read moreoffice, which I like. That means if your appointment is at a certain time you won't be waiting no more than 5 minutes to be seen. The hygienists are great and very informative. They are good on giving advice about proper dental care and flossing (which I'm guilty of not doing enough). Dr. Coco has been in practice a long time and clearly has a lot of experience under his belt. I thought I had a chipped tooth in the back, but it turned out one of my feelings is a little loose, so he assured me it would be fine for a few years. He didn't pressure me to spend money I didn't have to which was awesome. I literally went on a scavenger hunt looking for a good dentist in the Greenville area and I'm satisfied with this office very much. Too bad I'm moving soon and the hunt will start all over!

When I first moved to the area my coworker recommended Dr. Coco for a root canal. His prices were…read morereasonable so I booked an appt. It ended taking two sessions to finish it. The first visit went just fine. I came in to have the permanate filling put in and was told it would take about 45. I let them know I had only an hour before my next client and they assured me I would be done on time. I'm sitting in the chair with things hanging out of my mouth for thirity min. I got up to use the bathroom, when I saw the doctor giving the dental assistant a dental exam. I confronted him, letting him know that I am also in the "service" industry and would never let a client sit and wait without knowing what was going on. He got really mad yelled to the point of making me cry. He finished, and I left. For almost a year I still had pain in the tooth, so cautiously I mad another appointment to try and find out what was going on. He told me it was "phantom" pain and that the root was dead. I went and had a tooth cleaning (with another doctor) yesterday and mentioned that the tooth has always kinda bothered me. He let me know that it's not supposed to, and ordered up an exray. Well needless to say, I have to have another root canal, on the same tooth! Not only am I out the $600 for the root canal, but also the $900 for the crown and have to spend another $1,500 to have them both done again. I am not in anyway saying he is not a good doctor and not to visit. I am telling my experience as a hard working individual who had a not so good experience. I now research, before seeing any kind of medical provider since moving. The hardest part about moving is finding people you can trust. Lesson learned.
