I was issued Membership Card #40. My wife and I used 5 sessions total, leaving 7 unused sessions. During our prior visits, the business consistently recognized and honored the membership. Staff members (including a masseur named Mr. Cao) were able to successfully locate my account using both my membership card number and my phone number. Refresh Spa II later closed permanently. However, they posted a closure notice explicitly stating that unused sessions could be redeemed at partner locations, including Refresh Massage Spa at 123 Smith St, Brooklyn, NY. On June 4, 2026, at 2:30 PM, I visited the 123 Smith St location to redeem a remaining session. Staff refused service, claiming my card number and phone number were not in their notebook. I presented Card #40 and explained my account had been verified during previous visits. I asked to speak with a manager and requested copies of my membership records, but staff refused both requests and stated no records were available. The business is violating the written commitment provided in their closure notice. Resolution Requested: Immediate fulfillment of the remaining 7 prepaid 60-minute sessions at the designated partner location or another authorized location, as promised. A complete copy of all membership records, visit history, and service records for Card #40. If the business claims no records exist--despite previously verifying my account to provide service--this indicates a gross failure by the company to maintain adequate customer and service tracking.

The massage was relaxing and truly was full body. Prices here are extremely reasonable and it looks like there is a variety of services, so I will definitely be coming back to try out more. Owner did share that there would be surcharges for using a card. Location is clean and accessible. Plenty of street parking. Just be aware that on Fridays from Sept- Nov the street parking is canceled for Open Streets NYC where folks dine in the street so you'll have to use the side streets. Arrived at 4:00 PM and was seen immediately. Amy my masseuse instructed me to remove all clothing( except underwear ) and lay face down on the massage table. I settled in as spa sounds and lemongrass scent helped me to relax into the ambiance of the space . She gave me a dry rub for the first 10 mins ( sheets on). She then applied her first layer of oil and with the right amount of pressure worked out my trigger points and knots in sections. She then applied a second layer of scented oil and gave a deeper level of rub. There were plenty of really painful moments but not because of her. I had been holding a lot of tension in my mid back. Over the next 30-40 mins she worked each area intentionally and then applied the hot stone and gave me a soothing rub for an additional 10 mins leading to the end of our session. I took one star away because in comparison to another establishment, the massage wasn't as complete. There were areas that were completely overlooked, such as my thigh. Also, some practices allow you to add on the foot massage for an additional price. At this location, I wasn't offered that option. If you know about reflexology, you know how important the feet are and so addressing the larger parts of the body and neglecting the feet isn't holistic. I'd probably return but design my package myself ( as much as they'd allow). Again, fairly good massage- just not complete satisfaction.
