    9. Broad Street + pickles on soft roll

Amazing staff and amazing sandwiches. I recommend ordering ahead online to avoid the wait in store (totally worth the wait either way). I recommend the broad street + pickles.

Popular spot, so I recommend to order ahead. Close to real Philly style. I got the small (5-6") Italian Diablo on a hard seeded roll and it was very good. They don't have roasted red peppers but they have many other pepper options including long hots, etc. Efficient ordering process- if you have a credit card order and pay at the kiosk in center of front counter; if cash, they take your order.

We were visiting Hershey for the Pet Expo and wanted to go out and grab some quick lunch on our break. We found this place on Yelp and if we lived in the area we would be regular customers. The subs here were very good!

First time visiting this chain sandwich shop and Im glad i found it. Very similar to Primo's Hoagies, which is our favorite chain sandwich shop. Small, no-frills shop with fast and friendly service, but most importantly, a large selection of hoagies, all made with various imported cuts of meat. This is what makes the sandwiches here or at Primo's a cut above the typical pizza-shop Italian hoagie. You even get to pick which kind of roll you want it made on: either soft (soft inside and out) or crusty, with a soft center and crusty outside covered with sesame seeds. Ill certainly be coming back here next time im in the area, or one of their other locations. Private parking lot shared with a laundry. Can get a little tricky with the parking during peak lunch times.

    It's a #1 and it's called a HOG ISLAND!!!

Lemoyne location is open. Will get there this week and try. Giving this rating on the menu alone. Close to work which is dangerous.

Just delicious!! Best hogee place in town. Great ingredients and so fresh that when the bread runs out for the day, the shop closes down.

Very good, interesting sub menu. Not really any place to sit down, and only lunch hours. Very friendly staff and quality ingredients.

I had never even HEARD of Maplewood Farm Market until the internet recommended it as a side quest…read moreduring one of my adventures. I was headed toward Chambersburg and looking for somewhere directly along my route where I could pick up some homemade baked goods. Maplewood was the highest-rated recommendation, so around 5pm on a Thursday evening, I decided to investigate. When I pulled in, there were only a few cars in the parking lot, which surprised me considering the size of the farm market, greenhouses and everything else spread around the property. I snagged a spot right out front, walked through the doors and immediately realized I had SEVERELY underestimated this place. IT WAS HUGE! And not just "big farm market" huge. This was a full-blown food wonderland. There was a deli loaded with meats, cheeses and prepared foods, a made-to-order grill with sandwiches, soups and fried foods, an enormous bakery section, a mini grocery store with shelf-stable goods and baking supplies and a huge produce area with bins overflowing with beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables. I definitely had not budgeted enough time for this side quest! Unfortunately, I was on a timeline and had arrived with a very specific mission: find some kind of homemade peanut butter baked good to take along on my adventure. Which brings me to my one and only complaint about Maplewood Farm Market. THERE WERE TOO MANY PEANUT BUTTER OPTIONS! Listen. Peanut butter represents approximately 63.8% of my personality. You cannot put me in front of an entire bakery case filled with peanut butter things and expect me to make responsible decisions. I wandered around the bakery section for nearly 20 MINUTES trying to choose one thing. Every time I thought I'd made my decision, I'd find something else involving peanut butter and have to start the entire internal debate over again. Eventually, I accepted defeat. I bought three. My haul included a chocolate whoopie pie with peanut butter filling, a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with peanut butter filling and a refrigerated peanut butter Oreo pie that was honestly shockingly beautiful. I carried my little peanut butter rampage to the register fully prepared to accept the financial consequences of my behavior. The cashier rang everything up. "$6.37." Excuse me? I actually did a double take. THREE enormous homemade-looking bakery treats for $6.37?! In THIS economy?! I almost felt like I should quietly take my bag and leave before somebody realized there had been a terrible mistake. To say Maplewood's prices are reasonable would be a severe understatement. I couldn't believe how much I walked out with for barely more than six bucks, especially considering the size and quality of everything I'd picked. And yes, the baked goods absolutely lived up to their appearances! The chocolate and peanut butter combinations delivered exactly what Future Me had hoped for when she made the executive decision to buy all three instead of choosing like a functioning adult. My biggest regret from this visit is simply that I didn't have enough time. I came looking for a baked-good pit stop and accidentally discovered a place where I could easily spend an hour wandering through the bakery, deli, produce, grocery and prepared-food sections before grabbing lunch or dinner from the grill. What started as an internet-recommended stop for something sweet turned into one of those fantastic little adventure discoveries that immediately earns a spot on my "How did I not know this existed?!" list. I'll absolutely be back! Next time, I'm budgeting more time. Probably also more than $6.37!

Holy gee-whiz! It's been nearly two years since I went to The Spot and I was happy to get back. I…read morevisited The Spot twice this week and enjoyed a club sandwich both days -- they are so huge and packed with delicious cheese and meat and has thick, lean, crunchy bacon on it. I joked with Jenni that it's a 20-minute sandwich because that's how long it takes to eat. I brought a coworker yesterday and she had a reuben sandwich which she said was outstanding. She tried the chicken and rice soup and said it was wonderful so I tried that today and agree that it was totally worth the $3.99 -- hot, rich, full of chicken and packed with flavor. Today I took another coworker and she loved her sandwich and raved about her tomato bisque soup. Something happened at The Spot that I've never seen before and we were impressed. There were two other customers talking to each other while we were eating. One of them was a (very) loud talker and the owner quietly and discretely went up to her and said he could hear her across the dining room and reminded her other people (us) were eating and would she please lower her voice. He did this with sensitivity and respect but it worked and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our meals in peace. When the loud talker left, we thanked the owner and told him we had never seen anyone do such a thing before. That was just awesome! The sandwiches and soup are so amazing and it's wonderful to support a small, local business. I suspect I'll be back in the area in the next few months and you can believe I will be back and bringing another coworker along.

Good fast service and friendly. Sandwiches were good. Wish they had some coke products, anyone but…read morePepsi).
