Today I took another coworker and she loved her sandwich and raved about her tomato bisque soup. Something happened at The Spot that I've never seen before and we were impressed. There were two other customers talking to each other while we were eating. One of them was a (very) loud talker and the owner quietly and discretely went up to her and said he could hear her across the dining room and reminded her other people (us) were eating and would she please lower her voice. He did this with sensitivity and respect but it worked and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our meals in peace. When the loud talker left, we thanked the owner and told him we had never seen anyone do such a thing before. That was just awesome! The sandwiches and soup are so amazing and it's wonderful to support a small, local business.
