You can not beat the light rail especially for a D-Backs game. If you are going to a baseball game it dumps you off right at the stadium. I also take it for the Symphony, First Fridays, and any event I have in Phx. No expensive parking garage fees needed. It is an experience. Free entertainment and people watching for sure. If you are seeing a concert at the old America West Arena, AKA, the stadium that changes it's name too frequently for Mary to remember what it is today, the Light Rail will be free with your paid ticket. ( or at least it is as of the writing of this review. So if you are reading this much after 2018 please double check on that because they used to do the baseball stadium and then they stopped) I am patiently awaiting the Light Rail to continue to Westgate and the Cardinal's Stadium. ( I do know the name of that one today it is State Farm arena-hahahaha) I work there part time and employees have a huge Rigaramo with parking and just getting to and from work. The Light Rail would be a blessing in and out of the stadium, increase work turnover rates, and of course be great for fans too. It now takes over an hour to get out of there.

ASU actually recommended using public transit in order to keep traffic and parking issues to a minimum ... but we didn't see a big influx in folks on the Light Rail! Service was prompt and fast, and it was easy to get from Downtown Mesa to the Stadium in about 20 minutes. Thankfully, the AC was on full blast, which we were thankful for, and the car we rode in was relatively clean. Aside from the transit itself, I feel that the app/purchasing system could use some upgrades. Our party loaded up their app with $30 to purchase tickets for everyone in our group who was attending graduation, but came to find out as we were about to board the train that you can only use the app to purchase the account holder's ticket. There are also no refunds once that money is in the app, which was upsetting to learn for the purchasers who live out of state. We stood in line at the stop to buy tickets the old-fashioned way, and it all worked out that night ... however I don't think it makes much sense that you cannot purchase tickets for others in the app, and wanted to voice those thoughts here in the hopes that changes can be made to better serve Light Rail riders.

-----this review is being posted for Greyhound Bus Lines as an entire company------…read more IS GREYHOUND TARGETING THE POOR BY REQUIRING GIAGANTIC FEE INCREASES FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT BOOK THEMSELVES?? Let me start by saying that I will NEVER use Greyhound again. Never. I had the unfortunate experience of riding Greyhound just after graduating college. My experience was that the facilities and buses were dirty. The facility lacked adequate security. Now I find out that they are targeting the very people that keep them in business by charging those who most need their service HUGE service fees. My latest experience: It was horrible. My sister, who is staying with me while she completes testing and assessments in consideration for a liver transplant, needed to return to Yuma immediately to provide care for another family member. Because my sister does not have checking or lines of credit, she asked me if I could book her ride for her online. She wanted to make sure that she had a spot reserved. I went to Greyhound.com to arrange for a ticket and transportation for my sister. Greyhound quoted a price of $34.32 for a one way ticket. As I completed the forms online and proceeded to checkout, the cost of the ticket had changed to $52.32. As I researched the change further, I realized that Greyhound has a policy of charging an $18.00 fee if you buy the ticket but are not the person using the ticket. Greyhound listed the fee as a "Gift Ticket Fee." I contacted Greyhound customer service. Based upon my conversation and the lack of English spoken by the rep, I am assuming that Greyhound has outsourced its call center function overseas. The CSR I spoke with explained to me that the fee is a policy of Greyhound and it is charged to cover the additional costs and for convenience. I asked him to breakdown what additional costs they were incurring? He was unable or unwilling to justify the fee. He kept reiterating that "this is our policy and you must pay Gift Ticket Fee." My feeling here is the Greyhound has instituted a policy that is direct fee on the poor and indigent. This policy has the DIRECT EFFECT of raising rates on those who can least afford it. In my sisters case, the cost for me to book her bus fare was an INCREDIBLE 52% INCREASE over the advertised fare. Greyhound...it is no wonder your ridership is in continual decline. It is no wonder that your company is on shaky financial grounds. Wake up. Take a look at your reviews online. Read what people are saying about you. I have it at three stars because it's more of an annoyance and there should be a different way of doing it, and thats checking to ensure everyone has paid on the light rail. on average i get checked 3-4 times just in the morning on the B line and sometimes by the same person and sometimes they see me scan my phone at the little kiosk. I understand the need to check but come on. There should be a way better implementation. also it creates a safety hazard when the train starts to move. Idk about every one else but thats my two cents. and one more thing for the buses, hold onto a chair because they brake hard, at least on the ones I take.

Dangerous Negligence Disguised as a Service I have used and…read morereviewed plenty of services, but what happened to my roommate demands to be documented publicly. She got off her shift at 9 PM and waited for her scheduled pickup until midnight. Three hours. Alone. At night. Her phone had died, and apparently that was enough justification for this company to simply abandon her. No attempt to follow through, no contingency, nothing. A transport service that cancels a ride because they couldn't reach the client instead of just showing up to the scheduled location at the scheduled time is not a transport service. It's a liability. She was stranded and unreachable until a manager happened to notice her still there and let her charge her phone so she could get an Uber home. A stranger's kindness did this company's job for them. A woman alone outside late at night is vulnerable. That is not a dramatic statement. That is reality. The fact that this company's response to a minor obstacle was to leave a client stranded for three hours rather than simply show up speaks to a fundamental disregard for customer safety. Consider this a formal warning: if anything like this happens again, we will be pursuing every legal avenue available to us. A transport service that abandons clients in unsafe conditions has real liability exposure, and we are prepared to act on that. Do not use this service if you value your safety or the safety of anyone you care about.
