It did not disappoint. The sandwich is topped with a toasted pretzel bun. The sandwich contained eggs, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, chipotle aioli and hash brown patty. I also got the side of hash browns and the suggested paired drink of the Cookie Monster. The Cookie Monster is a cookie butter, cold brew topped with cookie butter cold foam. All of these items were very delicious. I do have to note my stomach didn't exactly enjoy the combination but a couple steps of Gingerale and I was good to go. That place was fairly busy. It was Friday night around 6 PM that I went. Staff was super friendly and walked me through the process as I've never been there before, so it was very easy to understand the process.

We also grabbed a jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese. Service was fast and prices were fair.

We arrived on a Monday around peak dinner time, but there was essentially no wait (apparently uncommon according to my friend -- just a delightful consequence of dining at a college town during the summer). We split a medium pizza (1/2 elote mexican street corn and 1/2 bbq brisket), proving to be more than enough for two plus a more than ample amount of leftovers. Recently, I've gravitated toward thinner pizzas, a far cry from the typical Detroit (foccacia-esque) style pizzas I used to prefer, and BAR's pizza is akin to a flatbread yet very thin, another fallen angel to the GLP's. The undercarriage boasts a brilliant crust, almost cracker-like. However, it should be noted that the pizza is indulgent all the same. The elote pizza is quite possibly the most memorable, unique pizza I've ever had; it arrives almost crimson-red with a generous layer of corn and takis atop. It's still incredibly well balanced despite the hodgepodge of varied toppings. It's hard to pick a favorite between this and the bbq brisket though; while one is incredibly unique the other is simply sumptuous, nothing pedestrian about either of the two. The service is also impeccable, almost rivaling that of southern hospitality. I always thought Californians were friendly but something is in the air every time I visit New Haven. Incredible!

My friend and I thought we would grab a bite for dinner from here and I'm so happy that we did! There is an extensive selection of beers, ciders, and specialty cocktails. The food menu also offers something for everybody! I decided to give the birria tacos special a try, while my friend ordered the smoked meatloaf sandwich. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The tacco meat was so tender and I tried a bite of my friend's meatloaf which was so good that I may order it next time! Our waitress was also kind and helpful! I'm happy to return to this establishment again in the near future!

Although chilly in here, we had a nice time. My parents loved the food too which was great. Tonight I got the Arepa which apparently, I won't get again because it's the second time I've had it (not here the first time) and didn't care for it. The pulled pork on top was good though I just don't care for the dish itself. A bit bland. My picture unfortunately didn't come out good for that dish. My dad got the Panko Crusted Fish Sandwich and my mom got the nachos. They loved what they got. I've been in the past and had the pizza, the poutine, pork belly sandwich, etc. I'd love to try the crab dip and whipped ricotta someday. Fun spot.

And now here I am asking all my friends "Did you know New Haven has some of the best pizza?!" I ordered via Uber Eats with delivery to my hotel. They messed up the delivery, so unfortunately the pizza wasn't piping hot once I finally found it. However, it didn't need to be. The flavor was a masterpiece! It was spicy, with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The sauce was not the tangy cheap-tasting sauce that I sometimes stumble upon so I was happy about that. The crust was not hard, but not soft. I was pleasantly surprised that it had so much flavor, yet was not at all greasy. I wish I knew how to describe it better, but I guess you'll have to try it for yourself! ;)

On one occasion I received a complimentary dessert by the owner which pretty much deals the deal on my returning. The hospitality is golden and I shall return.
