Review Highlights - Hobbs Auto Spa

I employed Kyle at Hobbs Auto Spa to ceramic coat my 2026 Tesla Model Y and was extremely pleased with both the process and the result.

The work was completed in ~3-1/2 hrs and it came out looking great. Their shop is neat and clean and they offered the best price for a quality ceramic tint out of 4 total bids I got. I definitely recommend them and would send family and close friends to them for their tinting needs.

Update mixed experience: from 5 to 1 star…read more Art the tint installer at Ceramic Pro, who installs tint for Ceramic Pro and for his own business AR tints made false claims about the tint he installed (bait and switch) - said he was installing Ceramic tint but actually installed a dyed film on my 2026 GX 550 Overtrail Plus. Kevin the owner of Ceramic Pro was very pleasant, was contacted, and after Kevin spoke to Art - the tint was removed and replaced at no charge (though I gave Art a $100 tip for taking care of it.) This work was done under the AR TINT business name - located at Ceramic Pro. I followed with a 5 star review of both businesses, despite the sketchiness of what happened. I noticed within a few days that the window had tiny dots all over the windshield (which had a WPF in place that was installed by another local shop). Art has said that little bubbles were normal and wound go away.. Turns out what I was seeing was damage to the WPF caused by the application of high heat to the previously installed WPF. Art, the installer INADVERTENTLY heat etched the WPF. Art would not make good on replacing the WPF (placed originally by Esoteric) that he damaged. Kevin the owner at Ceramic pro looked at the damaged WPF and said that if I wanted it replaced by Ceramic Pro it would be $500. Not good!!! I had another previous mixed experience with Art (Ceramic pro's installer) with my BMW 550. The end product continues to look great and at a reasonable price. However, in the process of the i installation, The entire back of the BMW was soaked with water, including the Insulation of the rear of the car.. with a large puddle of water in the trunk area .. The rear had to be dried with fans and mopped up after I brought the car home. Kevin gets 5 plus stars for how things were handled when the first issue occurred. He convinced Art to replace the tint (even though Art was doing his job under AR TINT and not Ceramic Pro). I was pleased with the overall appearance after the second visit .. The second issue with water soaking of the rear of the BMW I overlooked ... .. After the 3rd issue occurred and Art was unwilling to Replace the WPF that he damaged, my kudos for the good work that was done turned to criticism. Art as an installer does good work - but beware of damage to your vehicle that may occur in the process. I took two vehicles to him and both were damaged ... If you do get work done at this location, I would avoid AR TINT, and keep in mind, the unfortunate truth that Art is the onsite tint installer who will be working on your car at Ceramic Pro as well (despite being separate from AR TINT - in terms of ownership). 5 stars for Kevin for how he handled the first issue. 1 star for Art. Picture of WPF damage caused by Art. (This "Solarguard" WPF was placed originally by Esoteric around the corner from Ceramic Pro). WPF was about 2-3 weeks old when heat etching damage was done by Art, the Tint installer for AR TINTS and Ceramic Pro). Unfortunately due to the damage caused by Art, the warranty on the WPF done by Esoteric was voided - - so now I have to pay out of pocket for its replacement. Art caused the problem, agreed to fix it, and then texted me back saying he would not fix the problem and to "feel free to leave me a review." This is that 1 star review for Art at Ceramic pro and ARTINTS. Won't be going back to have any work done by him in the future. AND I highly recommend avoiding having him work on your car. Will be headed back to Esoteric who did a phenomenal PPF job and pay to have them remove and redo the damaged WPF. Art cost me more than the money saved going to him for tint. Lesson learned.
