I had a very disappointing experience with a manager on duty named Priscilla. I've spent around…read more$500 at this location in just the past few days and came in tonight to purchase four pieces of art. I decided against one but later called back to place it on hold. When I spoke with Priscilla, who claimed to be a manager, she was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. She told me she couldn't hold the piece in a sarcastic tone, and when I asked for her district manager's name and she responded by saying, "You can Google it." This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your brand. I ask that this situation be addressed, and that Priscilla receive additional training on professionalism and client service. A manager should represent the company with respect and class, not sarcasm and disregard. * Update: After going in today and speaking with Mabel and Sara--who had helped me previously--I received the level of customer service that should always be expected. It was phenomenal! They're both amazing, and truly set the standard for how clients, especially repeat clients, should be treated. Priscilla could definitely learn from their example. Kindness always goes a long way.

The space is very truly a thrift shop--bit of everything everywhere in the main room, and it's very fun to walk around and look for little treasures! Kevin explained to me that he rearranges his shop pretty often (he cheekily calls the practice "funk shui") to get people's eyes on different items every time they come in. He tends to get his wares from estate sales, auctions, and considers himself a treasure hunter. And I must agree! Lots of treasures in Far Out, and I loved sifting through them. If you make your way in, you'll likely hear from Kevin that he's open to negotiation and bundling items for reasonable deals. He seems just to be genuinely excited to find cool items and give them new homes. And I appreciate that energy a lot. I came in looking, loosely, for some home decor as my husband and I outfit our home after moving back to Texas from Georgia. But nothing felt quite right on the decor side. But I saw some beautiful pieces and walked out of the store with a vintage book I was excited about. So I consider it a successful trip. :) Make a trip over to check out Kevin's treasures. They've always been discounted even if it's just 10% plus it doesn't matter if we get dirt and soil in our car. Even though the bags were wrapped in plastic, and had been clearly opened or torn, she refused to honour this saying not enough of the soil had come out for her to honour it.! Her treatment of us was rude and inconsiderate.
