Their dining room tables have a traditional feel with not being too extreme of designs and seems like they are going with a design that's more timeless. They offer either one piece or veneered options, as well as extendable tables. I really liked some of the concrete stools they had, unique design, has a hidden compartment underneath, and somewhat of a conversation piece. Simple and functional design, just like the region that they're from. Price point was a little high for their tables and chairs. read more

We have purchased several times throughout the years as we love the recliner sofas. The staff is good and certainly helpful. My rub is that in most cases they do not have inventory of the items and in fact not a single order with the exception of a bed did they have in inventory. What this means is everything is considered a special order meaning when you get the items and they are not as expected then too bad you are stuck with it. We ordered a sofa and two chairs. The sofa was as we hoped but the chairs no so much. They are huge, not great looking and do not fit in room nicely. The store offered to try and resell and of course at large loss to us. We have bought from other high end stores in the past for our other homes and never had an issue. I cannot in good conscience recommend Skandinavia Interiors. I see the response from the owner and appreciate it although for lack of a better way to say it is BS. The fact that the product was discontinued by the manufacturer is a negative and I certainly would not have asked that anyone make an exception. If I had known it was a discontinued product I never would have bought it! Who would lay out thousands of dollars for brand new chairs that are already discontinued.? Last is we were told even before picking colors that the sofa and chairs needed to be ordered just as they had been on all of our previous orders. Again the staff is good but to call them designers is a bit of a stretch. read more

About the business: My husband has a bad back and neck and had been looking for a more comfortable sofa that I could allow in the house, particularly since we downsized and that couch would be in our main living space. He found this spot and we visited them on Saturday to check it out. We looked at some floor samples for their sale but ultimately put in a custom order for a leather sofa and love seat. My husband really liked the adjustable pitch of the back, the shoulder and neck support option the love seat had, and the depth of the seating. I found the quality of the leather options to be nice and the construction of the furniture to be of good quality. The designs were acceptable. Both my husband and I found a solution that worked for our different needs. In th past, we have been through six sofas and many chairs (including the relax the back options) that haven't been comfortable for him so we are hoping this will work. I will write again in about six months with an update. Our order (a sofa, a loveseat, an ottoman and a small side table) will be a white glove delivery in about 6-8 weeks. About the Sales/Design process: We worked with Aaron Kenny. He is knowledgeable about their products, furniture in general, and how their different manufacturers provided different back and neck support features. He is low key, easy to work with, detail oriented, and accommodating. He was there to answer questions but also left us alone to talk about the solution. We took home leather samples to check color and hue with our rugs, tables and paint samples. We also visited the new RH Showroom. After thinking about our options, we returned the leather samples and placed an order. Aaron is not able to negotiate on price with his company but he was a very straightforward, knowledgeable and professional contact for the organization. I would recommend the company and the positive experience with Aaron, specifically. He is a good ambassador of their organization and the brands they carry. It was a positive experience even though we did not set out to spend that much money on a seating solution. We are happy with our purchase. read more

We ordered our new bedroom set 9/1/18. Tracy seemed helpful and friendly while waiting on us. We we told 10-12 weeks wait time. After 11 weeks I contacted them and was given a reason (weather, etc). Its now been right at 18 weeks. Every time I've wanted an update, I've contacted them. Tracy has never one time contacted me to keep me updated or reassured. I even called the factory myself and was told there had been a mixup. 3-4 stories and 18 week later, I'm still waiting. What an awful buying experience!!!! I ordered a desk and bought a couch and chair and the desk delivered was wrong. The owner personally got on the phone and yelled at me and called me cheap. He called me cheap because I negotiated a great deal for a lower price and he was angry. I had proof of the order via email but of course I was still wrong according to the owner. The sales person Aron was typical using normal sales tactics to try to close, not appreciated when they demand those prices. They did offer to take the desk back for store credit but after that I would have rather burned the desk before I had to deal with the jerk owner. read more

I feel compelled to write a review 8 YEARS LATER!! We bought a the Ekornes sofa, love seat, ottoman and 2 chairs. We had some problems with a reclining device slipping apart causing that section of the sofa to remain in the reclined position. They sent someone over about a year after we bought the piece. It worked for a while and then very INfrequently we had issues with it again. We figured out how to put the part back in ourselves so didn't bother with Skandinavia. Years later, we were unable to put the part back in ourselves. We called on the off chance Skandinavia would do anything about it assuming our warranty had gone by the wayside. Well, apparently it had not - they came and instead of fixing the part, Felix replaced it and serviced the rest of the sofa. I feel as though I have a new couch. AND they had to come to San Marcos. The only thing they charged us was a delivery charge for the distance. There would have been no charge had we taken it to Austin, but we felt the charge was fair and the convenience of not having to take it to Austin was a huge relief for us. Also, The leather we chose was the highest quality they have. It is as good today as it was the day we brought it home. On top it all, Aaron, called the next day just to follow up. Maria is a really great sales person here and I dealt with her purchasing two chairs and a couch totaling over $8000.00. One of the chairs was damaged during shipment so had to be redone. The couch was delivered with flaws so bad they didn't want to deliver it to me. So, 2 of 3 pieces were not able to be delivered and had to be re done. I spoke to the owner. That conversation did not go well. I would never buy here again. After spending what I spent, I still don't have furniture that was ordered months ago and won't have it for another 4 weeks minimum. I recently shopped for an American Leather sofa at Skandinavia, and had such a terrific experience with Aaron there that I feel compelled to write a review. I went in having bought a rug for a room of a new house I'd just moved into, and wanted help from Aaron in picking a sofa that would present the style I was after, and would also match the rug well. The thing that really made Aaron stand out is that after we had talked through what I was trying to achieve, he very gently helped me realize that the rug I had purchased was not going to make me happy in the room. He could have easily just sold me a sofa, but he went out of his way to truly help me get a finished product in the whole room that made me happy. He didn't try to sell me a rug. There was nothing in it for him. But he helped me avoid a huge, costly mistake that would have really bummed me out. I think Aaron's design sensibility is first rate, and he is really great to work with. We recently splurged and bought a sleek, sleeper sofa with tufted buttons on the seat cushions. While napping, I noticed a button had come off, as when one sits down, the seat gives enough for the button to get caught, and I voiced my concern to Aaron, our sales associate, with worries that it might happen with continued use, and I'd wished I'd not opted for the button seats) . He said they could send someone to come out to repair the button, but since I was concerned over the use in the long run, he would call the manufacture. Aaron and Scandinavia went above and beyond my expectation. He soon called and said the company was offering to exchange the cushions to ones not tufted, since they wanted to make me happy with my purchase. Needless to say, I was blown away by their willingness to make sure I was happy with the product. My replacement cushions arrived within 2 weeks, and I've been so happy with the sofa and am enjoying the occasional nap on it! Thank you, Scandinavia, and especially to Aaron. 0 stars! Ordered the Love seat 9-21-2011 and they said it would take 4-6 weeks...It took 11 weeks and two days that is 5 WEEKS and 2 days (LATE) over the stated time. Then the love seat cushions lean toward the floor, where you have to plant your feet firmly, just to sit there for the price I paid..($3,964.12) what a piece of junk. And I was really nice to them about being so late...they did not even follow up to see if the love seat was ok, tolerable or even usable because they knew what a piece of junk it is! Three years ago, my husband and I moved to a new home and decided to make an investment in some new (American Made!) furniture. We went to Skandinavia and chose 3 pieces from American Leather, one piece a leather recliner. After using the furniture for about 2 years, the recliner began to show signs of unusual wear with discoloration, very deep wrinkles in the seat and compression of the cushion in the back. I contacted our salesperson, Aaron, at Skaninavia who suggested I send photos and a description of the issues to him. He put me in touch with a maufacturer's rep who agreed to replace the back and one arm and to restuff the seat. This improved the chair but, really, considering the cost ($3800), this piecemeal fix was really inadequate and I told Aaron that the whole thing was a huge disappointment. Well...last week (about 6 weeks after I last spoke with Aaron), I got a call from Skandinavia to arrange delivery of a NEW recliner!!! I was not even aware that the issue had been pursued and here I was getting a brand new piece of furniture!! Skandinavia has a wide range of quality furniture that you will not be able to find in other central Texas stores. The quality of the furniture is excellent(some of the stores I visited had knock offs that might make it 4 years in a college dorm room). The staff is casual, friendly and knowledgeable; they seem to be more interested in getting your long term business rather than pressuring you into a sale. If they do not have what you want they can give you suggestions on where to find it. The store stays "fresh" by having intermittent tent sales allowing the store to always have something new. read more
