I had a very disappointing experience with a manager on duty named Priscilla. I've spent around $500 at this location in just the past few days and came in tonight to purchase four pieces of art. I decided against one but later called back to place it on hold. When I spoke with Priscilla, who claimed to be a manager, she was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. She told me she couldn't hold the piece in a sarcastic tone, and when I asked for her district manager's name and she responded by saying, "You can Google it." This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your brand. I ask that this situation be addressed, and that Priscilla receive additional training on professionalism and client service. A manager should represent the company with respect and class, not sarcasm and disregard. * Update: After going in today and speaking with Mabel and Sara--who had helped me previously--I received the level of customer service that should always be expected. It was phenomenal! They're both amazing, and truly set the standard for how clients, especially repeat clients, should be treated. Priscilla could definitely learn from their example. Kindness always goes a long way. read more

I went into this location did the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint. The customer service was friendlier and selection was larger than my other Austin locations. I was really impressed by how much furniture was stocked throughout the store. There was no line and the store was practically empty on Friday morning. I'll assume this store into my rotational for treasure hunting! read more

This HomeGoods store has an amazing selection pillows, candles, rugs, and all types of household knickknacks. Most everything in here is high-quality 30% to 50% off the retail price. The line is short and they also have tons of artwork and wall hangings that will spice up your home. They constantly have a new supply and fresh items that fit the current interior design and fragrance trends. There is a little bit of furniture selection but it is limited since it takes up so much space that is not their main focus. It's always a wide selection of any small items that are less than one foot by one foot. Sometimes I have to give myself a time limit so I don't waste my entire Saturday afternoon here :-) My wife and daughters absolutely love it so sometimes we go hang out there and find cute little items for the house. This is also great for gifts and Christmas items particularly white elephant gifting. read more

There's a saying, you don't go to HomeGoods to find things you need, you go to HomeGoods and HomeGoods will tell YOU what you need. I go quite often with no expectations, and I always end up with a cart full of wonderful, random finds. When people come to my house, 90% of the items are from here. This is my secret weapon for a trendy home. You'll find things both big & small adorning every square inch -- a Tommy Bahama side drawer, Rachel Zoe accent pillows, Tommy Hilfiger bedding, OXO kitchen accessories, fake plants, and more. The options are endless. This HomeGoods has its pros and cons. Pros: being they have their own loading dock (as the suite itself used to be one of those electronic stores) Cons: the manager is not the friendliest guy read more

This HomeGoods has a ton to offer right now at reasonable prices! I'm a HomeGoods Stan through and through, but particularly right now, they have a lot of very relevant pieces in stock. They had plenty of rattan/ cane pieces (both decorative and furniture), tons of raw wood tones, and plenty of lovely fake plants and cute pots to put them in! If you're looking to update your decor to be more on trend with current style (wicker, rattan, cane, indoor greenery, layered neutrals), it's worth a trip over there! I find that the staff at this location do a great job of keeping things running smoothly. HomeGoods can get chaotic as a general rule, but they're quick to rectify anything that may be amiss (spills, broken items, returning abandoned carts to keep aisles clear, etc). It's also very clean and well organized! Can't go wrong. read more

I totally recommend for all of your home decor and kitchen supply needs. The best affordable holiday decor can be found at Homegoods right now in my opinion. I also recommend hitting up Homegoods after the holidays for deeply discounted holiday decor items. Like my mom always said, "champaign taste on a beer budget." If this is you, then Homegoods is for you! I love a good bargain. The only thing I will say is that there are A LOT of items and sometimes A LOT of people. It can be hard to navigate safely sometimes. I try to go during odd hours to avoid this. read more

What a different place. They had tons of stuff, but upon close inspection, sometimes the quality and fit was not correct. We spent some time here, and looked at a lot of different things as we went through the store. Our purchase, a Kitchen Aid hand Can Opener. That was nice as we had been looking for one for awhile. While stuff was scattered, people were friendly. The checkout is a bit odd, but the cashier was extremely pleasant. Would I come back? Yes. However I would recommend not during a holiday period. read more

Today I attempted to return decorative pillows that I purchased at the Brodie store , to the Galleria store. The pillows were purchased by my wife, and were in fact really damaged when she brought them home. The Sales manager told me that she couldn't take them back because we bought them at the Brodie store. I immediately told her that you essentially are all owned by the same company, and I couldn't believe that she refused to take them back. She said because they were now damaged they would need to go back to the original store. I've never had anything like this happen with a chain store, and won't be going back to this crap shoot of a store! read more

The staff and the selection make this place one of my favorite stores to shop. The employees do such a great job of handling the constantly changing environment of the store. You could go back every day and find something new. At this particular location, one manager, Margaret, was an enormous help in selecting, purchasing and picking up a large piece of furniture. I went Wednesday and their garden section, with plant pots, and decor was truly unreal! Three or four aisles of pots. There were fake plants and tall pots and short pots. So many good options. Their furniture was well stocked as well. Clearance aisle was not the greatest. The line wasn't too bad when I left. I love that this store is so large though. read more

HomeGoods is my go to for anything home decor or furnishing related. This store is always stocked with great stuff that's pretty well organized. The staff is here super super helpful - numerous associates have helped us load heavy and/or large pieces into our car and they areas nice and gracious about it! I keep coming here regularly to see what else I can snag up for my house. read more

We were at home goods to pick up some fall decor today & Michelle a manager checked us out. She was very rude to us during the check out process & harshly corrected us for coming to her check out too early even though she pressed the call button. This is my go-to store for home decor! I love the selection and inventory at this store and usually end up walking out with an item or ten every time I visit the location, whether I was just looking to browse or not. I've always loved TJMAXX so this was a natural choice for home goods. They have a wide selection of just about anything you need for your home or apartment. I particularly love their bathroom, candle, and artwork inventory. This store never disappoints! They even have a wide array of side chairs, area rugs, and side tables/entryway tables available. While the pricing can be reasonable with some things, other things can be a little pricey, so it's a mixed bag when it comes to cost. Make sure to check out their clearance aisles throughout the store for cute little gems! Overall I love perusing the aisles at this store and recommend it if you're considering refurnishing or refreshing your space! read more

It's like a Ross dedicated to household items, but, then again, I can actually find things I want to buy at Ross at a reasonable price. The positive is that the merchandise is _mostly_ first-quality, just small quantities and odd lots. That means you'll find shopping here to be mostly an elusive treasure hunt. While there are topical sections of the store, the merchandise is stocked helter-skelter within a section, so much so that I found bathroom items co-mingled in the kitchen section. Yes, I'm certain that toothbrush holder will pair up nicely with that salt-and-pepper shaker and butter dish. What's even more distressing here is that there aren't significant discounts to be had for your hunt-and-peck toiling. In fact, many of the random items I saw in the kitchen goods can be found for far less at Garden Ridge. I only found two items here that piqued my curiosity--both lamps--and I nearly keeled over when I looked at their price tags. One was a largish desk lamp for $300, and another was a floor lamp for $150. Honestly, I would have walked with the lesser of the two had it been one-third the price. I saw several other table lamps whose shades would have seen better days had they merely been kicked around on the floor of the toy aisle at WalMart at Christmas. They were also not inexpensive. Thanks, but no thanks, HomeGoods. Don't try to pawn off Goodwill caliber stuff at Neiman prices. Don't go here expecting any customer service. I spent about 20 minutes about the store, and never once was welcomed or offered help. The two staff that I could see were far more content to stand silently and stare at their vacant registers. What a job! I really don't see a point in coming back to HomeGoods unless there's a sudden thunderstorm and theirs is the nearest open door. And you know how likely that is in Texas. read more

I got a gift card for HomeGoods as a wedding gift. I had never been in a HomeGoods store, but knew that there was one in the Sunset Valley shopping area. The store was almost what I was expecting, but so much more really. The store is organized pretty well I thought by house hold areas. I really did not know what I needed so I just perused the sections. I did notice that the items they had tended to be quality and higher end items. They had a nice glassware section and kitchen area, tons of throw pillows and bedding type stuff, closet/office organization, rugs, furniture, pet supplies and accessories and pretty much anything else household you could imagine. I decided to spend my $50 gift card on a new clothes hamper, which I am loving by the way. I also purchased some thank you cards as well. Now that I have been here, I will definitely keep HomeGoods in mind when I am in need of something or maybe even looking for a gift for someone else. If you are looking for anything household related I would definitely consider checking out HomeGoods. read more

Do you ever walk into Garden Ridge or Marshall's and think, my God, where can I get even more of this crap? Where can I find entire aisles devoted to themes, like "seashell bathrooms" or "leopard prints," where everything is slightly defective and still overpriced? As we started looking around, we realized that this was no accident of surplus property, oh no, these items were made for this store. Off-brands galore. Real ones, but not anything you actually want (lime green Ralph Lauren sheets?) or need. Ok, wait, no, if you needed to stage a home or hostess one of those Extreme Makeover shows, you could do some serious damage here. Your tacky stuff could all match. It's true. Also, to say that this store is not mom-friendly is to overlook the fact that it is right next to the poorly-named Buy Buy Baby. You could change a kid's diaper on over 100 items in that store! (True story: a co-worker once mentioned that Buy Buy Baby was where she thought you went to buy tiny caskets and it seemed disgraceful that you'd have them in big strip malls.) If your home features the term "Tuscan," actually, maybe you could shop here. The rest of you? Stay away or bring a friend and a camera phone. read more

It's always fun seeing what new stuff they get in! From culinary to furniture I love checking it all out. This is not low end typical discount stuff. You can actually find some more high end things here from time to time. Albeit, it is limited and goes fast but you can get lucky. I like this place!! read more

I can manage to find some cute things here, but you have to know what you are looking for. Often times, items may either be broke, or not priced at the savings you might think. I got a few silk plants here at a good buy, and a super cute garden stool for 39.99. They had an assortment of glass pumpkins for Halloween and fall, but the selection quickly faded. Their stickers take a bit of alcohol and elbow grease to remove too. Overall, I always go back to see what little things I can find. I'd recommend it to someone who has something in mind their look for, and knowns good deal when they see it. read more

This Homegoods has served us pretty well vis a vis mirrors and rugs. They have large mirrors, (maybe 3x6?) from $60-$100, which is the best deal I've seen on huge mirrors pretty much anywhere. They also have Oriental-styled rugs in a similar price range. Other than that you'll find a genuinely impressive selection of garden decor, plus the typical array of kinda tacky furniture and colorful kitchen shit. Be sure to inspect your intended purchase thoroughly--one of the mirrors was marked down about $30 from other similar ones, and I realized after close scrutiny this little black flaw in the mirror that appeared on all the ones at that price. But hey, that's kinda how Homegoods goes anyway. Check the edges of the glass on your photo frames as well. Can't beat the prices on the rugs & mirrors, though, especially because it's easy to find something simple to go with your more elegant decor. And the TJ Maxx located just next door turns it into a downright outing. read more

So if you are like me and can never have enough kitchen gadgets, sets of tongs, and cool melamine picnic stuff, you might enjoy a troll around Home Goods. They are the housewares big sister store of TJ Maxx. Like TJ Maxx, they are hit and miss, as they generally carry overstock and close outs. I do find it interesting that sometimes the exact same item in TJ Maxx is $1-$5 more in this store... C'est la vie! At the end of the day, I occasionally stumble over a B A R G A I N, like a $35 Nambé pepper mill on clearance that retails for $120 or a Rösle kitchen gadget at one/umteenth the price. Depending on the the alignment of the planets and the lunar cycle, you might find All Clad, Wüsthof, Rösle, Nambé , WMF, Le Creuset, Laguiole, Riedel and other high end kitchen items lining their shelves. They also have the rest of the house in linens, occasional furniture, rugs, draperies, wall hangings, mirrors, lamps, baby decor and dog items. Will you always find what you are looking for? NO. You have to think of Home Goods like a bargain treasure hunt for that one item that you did not know you could not live without at a discounted price you just might willing to pay. For the quality of merchandise and the thrill of the bargain hunt, Home Goods is A-O.K. in my book. read more

I'm the type of person who sees shopping as an activity (at least when it comes to fun things.) I spent a good two or three hours in Sunset Valley a few weeks ago searching for the perfect saucepan to replace my first bachelorette "pans," which were slightly thicker than aluminum foil and were given away to players at a casino in Las Vegas. I needed a grown-up saucepan. I tried Home Goods first, which has an entire aisle of pots and pans to choose from. They have everything from new, modern brands to Cuisinart to Calphalon. I found a saucepan sold at BBB for $85 on sale for $30 at Home Goods! They don't appear to sell entire sets, so I suggest going here only if you need a piece or two. I ended up finding the perfect saucepan (matches my stockpot!) at Ross, but Home Goods has served me well in the past. I would not recommend looking here for anything unusual or unique, but it is a great place to look for linens and kitchen and bath supplies such as pillows, towels, cooking utensils and glasses. read more

I know I am way late to the HG game but I just went here for the first time over the weekend. LOVED IT! I only deducted a star because some of the items in there were not very valuable, once I really had time to think about them...one can easily make improper impulse buys in a store like that, so I like to avoid that whenever possible. I had no idea they were affiliated with TJ Maxx and Marshalls, I had overheard staff describing that fact to a customer. I love the kitchen section. They had nice pottery. Tons of picture frames. Even dog toys along with some pretty nice, affordable dog beds...just saying... The coffee selection was great! I also loved the bathroom area and the prices on the items I was looking for were very low. The store was clean and the staff was helpful. You will find at least 2 great deals when you shop there like I did. I can almost guarantee you that. I love this place!!!! I got so many great things from here for Christmas, and the pricing isn't bad either. Yes some stuff can be expensive, but honestly the quality of the products overrides that sometimes. Plus they have a great specialty food section too. HomeGoods is the perfect place to find affordable odds and ends for your home. You have to be a bit creative, but it works! I love their rugs, the selection changes every week, don't get discouraged, keep checking in! I buy a lot of my small kitchen utensils here, most items are under $10. My absolute favorite departments are the mirrors and lamps. Cheap!!!!!! and beautiful. This isn't your high end retailer - this is the perfect place for a treasure hunt. read more

This is where I go when I need something department-store-random but nicer than I can find at a dollar store or TJ Maxx.... although I think things that don't sell here probably go right next door to (also TJX Companies owned) TJ Maxx. They have pretty good kitchen utensils and bed linens, journal/invitations/stationary stuff, holiday decorations and bathroom items. The store is huge and has more stuff than any Home Goods I've been to! The employees, however..suck. Two ladies hassled me about getting the credit card 5 different times so I could save 10%. I wasn't interested. I used to work in sales, I know it's their job to ask, but if a customer says no two times, just stop there and let it go! Then while I was waiting for my receipt, the lady was rude and tried to belittle me to the other woman who initially asked about the card. She took a call (while holding my receipt) making me stand there and wait. Then just looked at me and stuck her hand out, not saying a word. And to top it all off, I had a bunch of stuff that I couldn't get by myself, and not a single person asked to help me. HORRIBLE customer service. Fix that, Home Goods. read more

I love this store. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Jeff, Margaret,, Marianne, Bill... Just nice people and are always knowledgeable about what is in the store. Also love the variety of the merchandise. All different ranges of prices which makes it convenient for different projects. I would recommend this store to anybody. I also would not hesitate if you have questions, most associates can help you with your needs. Also they have a huge rug selection which is unusual in this town. Also, during this pandemic, they have kept up and maintained strict, yet friendly, Covid guidelines. Everything is clean and there is room to maneuver in the store. read more

I love me some HomeGoods! I know it's part of a chain (the TJMaxx Marshalls co.) but when you want to decorate on a budget, it's a great place to shop. The best part is they have a great return policy so if that bright orange vase doesn't look as good against your green walls as you thought, you can always bring it back for a refund or store credit. I usually go to this location (near where I work) but recently did a quick walkthrough of the location in the Arboretum area (used to be a Bed Bath and Beyond) and found something on nearly every aisle. read more
