I love coming here to shop! First time I came into a Hobby Lobby store was last month and I was expecting to find items similar to Michaels, but I found more decorative items and home goods for the house. It was a good time to visit the store a week before Thanksgiving and on Black Friday weekend to catch the sale on home decor, all for 50% off. They also have one coming up the week of Christmas. I have found many items for the home at a great deal. I love how they have room ideas if you plan on going with a theme or idea to create a vision for each room of the house. It was my first time going into a hobby lobby and quite busy during the holiday season. Parking was busy, it was either you park far or wait till someone leaves the store. In my case I was lucky to catch a parking stall on my first try. I walked in to look at some fake plants that I could use in my aquarium and boy was I in for a surprise. The options and many varieties that the store had was mind boggling. I swear I was in there for 20 minutes trying to mix some of the plants together. I took another 5 minutes to walk around the store just so I know what to deal with next time I come around. I love Hobby Lobby. I used to hate the store and thought they were overpriced, but after going for a long while, I saw the pros of this store. This specific store is my favorite in Las Vegas, and I've been to all of them, multiple times. I like the space in this one, although it's not the biggest one, I think they use their space well, with a lot of room in between aisles. They have great selections of items, and most are for comparable prices. The company as a whole used to do a 40% off of one item coupon, but since a Karen complained about that and the always 30% off specific categories, they've done away with that, so now they just do the specific categories a week at 40% off. They have almost everything you need for crafting and as long as you go at the right time, then you get a good deal on it. The reason why I can't give 5 stars is because of their lines. They always have LONG lines, I'm talking 7-8 people deep at all times, and never enough cashiers. I think it also kind of grinds my gears that they always have a manager up front, but the manager is never on a register, only standing in front, monitoring. I'm sure they do that for a reason (probably so the manager is readily available for any issues that may arise), but I just think it's kind of ridiculous when there's 2 cashiers and 30 customers. It also takes a long while for backup to be called, or for backup to head up. Sometimes I'll hear them call for backup, and a person won't arrive for 10 minutes. Other times, I don't hear them call for backup at all, and the people are just standing there. Other than that, great selection, customer service, and space. read more

Since the first time I visited Hobby Lobby I was in love with this place. Don't be fooled by the name this isn't just a lobby for a hobby. LOL If you are looking for something crafty - they have all that (similar to Michael's and Joanne's) but the HUGE plus is that they have home décor. If you are looking to decorate some walls, add some furniture, even enhance your home with new accents this is the place! Now I take away one star because this place can be a little countryish. If that's your thang then you will be in Country Heaven singin with the birds but don't get me wrong they have a wide range of styles (just alot of country) and I'm not really down with that. I have noticed a lot of bedroom décor for girls and teenagers that would be really great if you are looking for that. Wall mirrors and clocks are everywhere. There is a huge frame section if you are looking for something unique. They also go big on holiday décor-like right now there are rows of Memorial Day/4th of July items. I might be back for some of that. The prices are super reasonable and there are sales all the time. The best secret is their new phone app that gives you deals....like right now I have a 40% off one item that I think I might use on a silk tree for my living room. The customer service here is bomb! Kinda torn. It's giant, even taking out the absolute Christian things I have no interest in, it's giant. My daughter and I have gone twice and still haven't made it completely through. My daughter makes jewelry and I make some home deco stuff, my GF likes the mirrors and frames, between us we use everything in the store. except the Christian stuff. There are party stuffs, too. Not a ton, but some. There are coupons if you sign up online, and everything is on "Sale". In other words nothing is what they price it at, mostly 50% off. Employees are nice, bathrooms are clean, parking is sufficient. Not a bad place, just misses the mark somehow. read more

Hobby lobby's customer service has definitely gone down a bit. There were a bunch of associates restocking the shelves but having to move through all these crates and boxes around Friday at 3 pm was not my idea of fun. There were boxes blocking the shelves and I had to ask a couple of associates if they would move so I could get an item. The line to check out was ridiculous. I waited 15 minutes to buy 4 things. It's a Friday guys people come after work on Fridays to buy stuff to craft! There were two lines open and these lines were long. Overall, it doesn't seem like customer satisfaction is their priority. By far the best HL location I've been to in like, ever. This place is literally going to bankrupt me for all the things I WANT and don't need LOL. As always, customer service is top notch, store immaculate, and associates helpful. I got the last two of the best candles I've ever had, some birthday decor swag for my step-kid, and stuff for my oldest kiddo. OF COURSE they had the Fall stuff out and OF COURSE I had to get one (yes, only one as I had to stick to my budget) Fall item so I'm fully prepared for PSL season. Score for me! read more

Hmm they need to retrain their staff on customer service. Not a single friendly face in sight and even when checking out the female cashier didn't say a single word to us except for the total price. I can't stand bad customer service. If you don't like saying a few friendly words to your customer or smiling then you probably shouldn't be working up front. Just a thought. This place is huuuuuge! There are so many displays and lots of stuff to look at. I have not decided if I like it better than Michaels because it is quite different from Michaels/Joann's. The only bad thing is that they don't take competitors' coupons. However, they almost always have a 40% coupon online. I've used this place for buying regular arts and crafts, home decorations, and wedding decorations. They have a ton of great wedding items and lots of wall art. Their displays at Christmas are huge! However, I recently just went here for Project Life by Becky Higgins Scrapbooking items, and they didn't have too much. :( If what you want is not on sale this week, it will most likely be on sale the week after that. I think the items alternate being on sale. You can also rent an arch here for your wedding, plus a few other things. There's a flyer by the floral & wedding department. Always happy with my experience here. I find inspiration & new materials to use in my art. I've purchased everything from fabric dye, fabric, shadow boxes, holiday/ home/ party decor, paint & scrapbook supplies....and that probably doesn't cover it all. Wow! I am blown away! What a wonderful experience I just had! Random act of kindness alert! I came into the store looking for a jar to place skittles in for a little friend. I am putting together a "care package" to hopefully send her cheer, and bring a smile to her face. The jar would be labeled "get well soon vitamins" . I look around and found an associate who brought me to the perfect spot. He showed me a jar with a pony on it, and it totally matched since I also got her a unicorn stuffed toy. Next, he brought me a label and also sour skittles. I was blown away! He wanted to make sure the skittles would fit in the bottle before I purchased. It totally did. He then took the box and said he would take care of the cost of the candy! I was blown away by the customer service and friendliness of this worker. went to get airbrush propellant. asked one of the clerks if she had the key to access to cabinet, she replied no but will find someone who does. 20mins go by, nothing. i start to walk away and hear someone over the intercom calling for access to the paint in crafts for a customer heading over there. i think of good someone is coming. 10mins later, still nobody. i can see two clerks talking and laughing about how other customers are complaining about nobody having the key and how they loose the key all the time. im over here like if there wasnt a camera pointed at it i can easily just pick that lock in less than 5 seconds and get what i needed. finally another customer flags down someone who has the key. 40mins of waiting to get something so simple. shame. read more

Place is AWESOME!!! Its everything I was told it was plus some!! I could shop hours for crafts to do. Right now I'm working on my fauxdori & this place has soooo much I can work with. Inside is very clean. Everything is in categories: home decor, sewing, knitting, woodwork, scrapbooking, etc. So its easy to find a specific section. This place used to be so nice, was in-line and when a new register opened up I went there to pay but the guy put the closed sign back on, I went to wait a longer line he took it off again, I wasn't sure what is going on so I asked the person In charge if it's close or open before she answered a customer behind me assured me it's close, great that you get involved in none of your business situation! I do love hobby lobby. What I don't understand is every time I come to this location it smells like fresh hot apple cider right outside the doors. Every time I come here they never have fresh hot apple cider anywhere. As a matter of fact. I love Hobby Lobby. I didn't always love it, but now that I know how to shop here, I love it. Here's the deal: You can't go into HL expecting to be in and out in a flash. HL is setup in a way that is great for those who like to comb every aisle looking for deals. Everything is spread out and the displays are constantly changing. HL tends to be slow a slow checkout since the employees key in every item manually, rather than scanning items. So give yourself ample time. More often than not, the checkout lanes furthest from the entrance have little to no wait. Don't be shocked by the prices. Different sections of the store are on sale, every day. If you know what you're looking for, take a look at their website to know if your item is on sale. If it isn't, just wait a couple days because it WILL go on sale, eventually. Maybe 25% but likely 50% off. But if you can't wait, they always have coupons for 40% off a single, regular-priced item online that you can use. I don't think I have ever paid full price for anything at HL. And seasonal items go for 60-90% off shortly after their appropriate holiday. For instance, fall items went down to 90% a few days after Thanksgiving. And fall items don't just include orange pumpkin stuff, it includes a lot of galvanized metal decor, candles, and signs about family/gratitude. In other words, a farmhouse decor designer's paradise. A couple other things to note: They don't do ship-to-store. They don't have accessible stock in the back, so what you see is what they have. Things are often dropped in the wrong place, so make sure to look at the tag. The category will be on the tag (ie: fall, christmas, wood accents, metal accents, etc). The signs are usually clear on what's on sale, but occasionally a section won't be labeled, so always check the website. And if you find an item that is damaged, the manager will discount it but it will be final sale. read more

The girl said all matts had to be 2" or there is an additional service charge of $4 each. We have been Hobby Lobby for years and have never had to pay a service charge for thinner matts. This one is for you Hobby Lobby and the racism you displayed tonight! I ask an associate where the spray paint is. She points in the direction of the paint. Once I get back there, the glass case is locked. I found another associate and told her what I needed. She finds someone with a key. As this new associate walks up she has another lady with her, who also needs paint. I tell her that I also needs paint. She hands the lady her paint and lets her walk off. She takes mine out the glass case and says, "Just so you know I will have to walk yours up". I say, "Why is that if you didn't have to walk hers up. She says, "Oh well our manager is here tonight and I was told to walk up yours...not hers. At that point I should have left honestly but now I'm angry and feel the need to tell this woman how racist it feels for what she just did. So I did...I say, "you know that's racist as hell right". She just stares at me. I ask to speak to a manager. I repeat to him what happened. His response "we don't require anyone to walk spray paint up". I left out the color of everyone's skin...but yes everyone was white but me. So yes it was racist and foul! Woooohooo! We finally got a Hobby Lobby on this side of town! I used to have to drive 50 miles round trip to go to the Henderson location. This store is huge and is very cleaned and well stocked. If you sign up for their e-club they send you a 40% off coupon or current promotion. I often pull up hobby lobby on my smart phone and just show the 40% coupon and they take it with no problem. I just signed up for the Wilton cake decorating class and couldn't be more excited. They have a separate classroom for the several classes they do offer. You can go to their website and look up the class schedule to see what they offer and the dates for them. They offer great discounts at times on them. The cake decorating class I signed up for is usually $45 but I got it for a total of $20.50. The name says it all. "Hobby Lobby" has all your *hobby* needs! They have a great scrap-booking section with the best stickers. If you are a crafter you need to check this place out!!! They have the cutest home decor too. read more

I always find myself buying more than I expect and spend too much time I here waking down every aisle making sure not to miss anything! Be careful though, this place is tricky. They over price their items an then offer them at 50% off making the item much more reasonable. If you go on the wrong week you will end up spending more than what the item is really valued at. They also have a coupon online for a single full priced item if you find yourself doing a project and nothing in your cart is on sale. When you'll find me here: Saturday nights, 20 minutes before closing, rushing to take advantage of their amazing 30-50% deals. I'm not sure why I do this to myself, since they'll have great deals rotating next week, but I guess I like the rush of gathering my DIY/Craft goods. Hobby Lobby is pretty big for hobby shop but about half the store is home decorations. The half dedicated to hobbies covers a large variety of hobbies and the store doesn't really favor one hobby over another. The drawback is that it covers each hobby rather shallowly, it's great if you need something simple but if you're really into a hobby you'll probably need to go to a store that specializes. Still it has a decent selection for a general store, so why did I only give it two stars? The customer service is terrible. I actually kind of liked the fact that nobody asked me if I needed help I prefer to browse and find somebody if I have a question. But at a certain point being ignored or answered with a shrug starts to become an issue. Checking out was a separate ordeal, I don't blame the employees for the line but three employees standing around and chatting by the register and finally loudly sighing before opening another register probably isn't going to endear you to the customer. read more
