Hobby Lobby is a chain store selling items from home decorating to arts and crafts. Some items include artificial flowers, picture frames, fabric, wall art, ceramics, art supplies and small furniture. They have a large seasonal section offering decorative and crafting items for Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Independence day, etc. Each store is large and takes over an hour to browse thru the entire place. All of the stores are identical so it is easy to find specific items among the different locations. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The owners are Christian and all stores are closed on Sundays. read more

I moved from Clearwater to New Port Richey and immediately saw the difference between these 2 stores. New Port Richey has a lack of customer service issues. Clearwater associates always offer you assistance with heavy stuff to bring outside. This store they see you and never offer help to no one. One manager in particular Bryan he always standing by the door, no greeting, never offer help. If you ask him a question his tone of voice makes you feel like he is being bother. I stopped coming to this store. Too bad because I normally spend a lot of money here, I rather spend it in Clearwater. Too bad read more

This Hobby Lobby shows racism at its finest. I am a Latin woman, this is the 2nd time I go and come across racism. Tell me how this time, I went up to a register, mind you all the cashiers are white, so this lady who only had 1 person cashing out, tells me to go to another register, she was not closing, she just wanted me to go to another register that was empty. Ok so I'm like, maybe she is looking out since the other person had no one. So I go to the other register, guess what, no acknowledgement was given, the guy was just blabbing his mouth to another worker just standing there, he rings me up, no mannerisms whatsoever, the girl who was just standing, gives me the bag when I had pulled my cart close to her as usual. After I got my receipt, they both look at me, I still thanked them politely and left. Then I heard "oh how you doing ma'am, to the next customer after me, who guess what, WAS WHITE! They need to treat everyone the same!!! Color is the only ONLY thing that makes us different, otherwise we are ALL the same. Shame on those employees read more

Hobby Lobby is a great place to shop. They always have excellent deals. When we went the other day Christmas items were all 70% off.

Having never been inside a Hobby Lobby, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I entered, i was FLOORED. This place was huge! There was a little bet of everything. From scrap booking, to kinttng, to wood working. From soap making to sewing and candy making. There really is something for everyone to do here. Up front, there was wrapping paper that was marked as Christmas paper, but the colors were ambiguous that you could use them for every day, and the roll was ginormous, so I'll have paper for years to come. read more

2016 YELP Review #240: I spent 8 hours in this store one day. Seriously, I work for the goverment and travel a lot. When I return home, I set aside one day to go to Hobby Lobby and walk every aisle and look at everything. I did this a few weeks ago. I asked a lot of questions, watched a woman assemble floral decorations (it felt like I was in a private class). They had plenty of Halloween and autumn themed items for sale and the Christmas decor was fully stocked by my account, yet I am sure they are still getting more and more items in each week. I joked with one employee about being put on payroll because of how long I had been in the store. When she was leaving, around 5 PM, she was surprised that I was still shopping. I spoke with a member of the management team, a gentleman who it was truly a pleasure to speak with. I really can't say anything more positive about this place. The only knock I can give would be the hours. Being open until 9 PM daily and on Sundays from noon to 5 would be great. The definition of 4-stars is, "Yay! I'm a fan." The definition of 5-stars is, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" Since the suggested hours would make it better experience... This place gets 4-stars. read more

While shopping in Hobby Lobby recently I was in line with one gentleman in front of me and the cashier. The conversation went to covid when I inadvertently said out loud, oh, I forgot my mask! Neither the person on line or the cashier was wearing a mask. The cashier then went on to tell me that they put "poison" in the vaccine so obviously she was not vaccinated. She deals with the public all day, about two feet away from shoppers and was not vaccinated and not wearing a mask. Shame on her.......I called corporate and asked them what their policy on masks was.....Customer Service said they could not tell me their policy, which obviously means they do not have one. I will no longer be shopping at Hobby Lobby since they allow unvaccinated staff to work so closely with the public while not even wearing a mask! .. read more

Went in on a Saturday and this place was packed!! Plenty of check out lines were open but I needed some fabric cut and it took a good almost 10 minutes before someone finally showed up to help. I love this place. Always wonderful craft supplies, notebooks, frames, decor, furniture, and even books. I did a custom framing order for Mother's day and they took my instructions very seriously, did a great job, and did it in half the time they estimated. I also love the constant sales! I LOVE Hobby Lobby! However today was the first time I had an issue with the customer service. I visit and purchase yarn every few weeks and have done so for many, MANY months since I moved in the area. I have used the 40% off coupon from Retailmenot.com ever since I found the app in your store with no problem, until today. I was at the cashier and had several skeins of yarn along with some fabric...I pulled up my coupon from the app and as soon as Gina M. saw the code, she instantly became rude. She informed me that the store could not use the coupon code from the app but could accept it from the Hobby Lobby website. I said okay, news to me as every time I've been there, the cashiers have never said as much but it was nice to know from here on out. She said very rudely that she would accept the coupon from Retailmenot.com this one time and would never do it again. Again, okay. I get it. As the purchase was finalized, she never once looked my way. Not even a thank you for my visit or purchase. Come on! Really?! I was as polite as I could be, tried to get her to understand my point of view. Nope. Nothing. Not acceptable. I will be back to your store but will not be in her line as cashier. read more

Disappointed. I am definitely a Hobby Lobby fan, but this location missed the mark a bit for me. I lived in Tallahassee for 5 years and adored their store there. Now I live further south and traveled nearly 45 minutes to this New Port Richey location on a quest for yarn. Their selection was considerably less than I expected. I also was looking forward to shopping for a wall painting/print. Their artwork was, in my opinion, sub par to the beautiful quality and large selection I always found in Tallahassee. Still...Hobby Lobby rocks, so I'll stay with a good 4 stars! read more

Love Hobby Lobby. I give Hobby Lobby 5-stars, but the staff 1-star. The best selection of unique items for your home. I am in this store at least once per week. However, the staff is never friendly and no one wants to help customers on the floor. It's a shame, because it really is an awesome store with great merchandise. Management needs to stress the importance of simple common courtesy and helping customers - no one would be there without us. In the wake of Toys R Us, Kmart and others, I would think brick and mortar stores would be all about customer service to get customers in the door! read more
