Well, now I know. Their warehouse is huge, a distributor of kitchen and bathroom cabinets, quartz, marble, and granite countertops I needed a shower wall that was 84" tall and they had it in stock. David greeted me right away as soon as I walked. After I told him what I needed he walked me over that section and showed me the different types they offered. Friendly and very helpful. Good customer service. They sell various shades of white cabinets, floors and countertops. So many home remodeling I'd like to get started and now I know where to go for my next project ideas. Used 101 for my new counters in my kitchen and bathrooms. I had been to the warehouse with my mom before, so I knew the process. When my husband and I went recently Lee was a bit pushy. He tried to sell me counters that I definitely didn't want, but because lack of product I don't really have any other option. After thinking about the material for a week, I went back to the warehouse and there was a lot more choices. I picked something that I actually wanted. I got sinks, faucets, and drains. The price was very reasonable. I paid for the materials upfront and took the sinks, faucets and drains home with me. Install was scheduled for 2 weeks later. My only gripe is that I wish the install team would arrive much earlier. They arrived around 11 and didn't leave till about 7. I wish they would have started earlier so they could have left earlier, but it is what it is. I am super happy with my counters read more

I've requested a couple quotes from the a few of the competitors from The House Mag and was blown away by how expensive the countertops were! I found this place on yelp and was happy to see that they had a website to preview the selection before going to them. The staff responds to inquiries through emails quickly and assured me that it was safe to go into their warehouse/showroom. Once in the showroom, I noticed that the layout was very clean and organized. It was very COVID friendly and the best part was there was not overcrowding inside! Staff wore masks and were helpful in guiding me to view the different counter top options. The quotes received from 101 Building Supply was the MOST "COVID budget" friendly. Due to the whole market issues, getting counter tops in has been hard, and this place price gouges like crazy, but I figured maybe they are great quality and the supply issue is not their fault so I have to swallow the bullet. I spent $700 a slab for three slabs, nearly $2,000 on installation costs, after the first piece was glued in place, the second piece butted to it. And the thickness in difference is (+- see pictures and judge yourself) 1/8". You can clearly see this corner sitting at the dining room table and it's unsightly. For raw prefabricated slabs, 101 Building supply has some of the highest prices in the sacramento region, yet the quality of these slabs is very disappointing. They also don't stand behind their product. The biggest regret in my entire renovation was going with these guys cause I did not want to wait at other counter top places. Just skip them. read more

The most honest people, great quality and excellent pricing. We ordered our quartz countertops from this location due to the variety of select from. They were able to move our installation up a week which was a bonus. When they arrived the morning of the installation crew told us the two slabs appeared off and didn't think we would be happy with the results. After looking over they suggested going back to the warehouse and find two that matched. It was 18 miles away and kind of a slight inconvenience, but I'd rather do that and be happy than install something that doesn't match. Upon arriving they alerted us they only had 1 of the larger slabs so we had to match the smaller on to it. They used a forklift to bring the slabs outside (it's dark in the warehouse and not great lighting) after a few we decided to pick another color. They were very patient and honest with their opinions. We don't do this everyday and when some looked like it matched to us they spoke up and pointed out differences. They could have just installed it but they wanted to make sure we would be happy. I couldn't be more happier with the results. The new color was slightly more and they were very apologetic for the process so they added a discount. Very kind and unexpected. We all drove back to our house and installation began. Installation day was 100 degrees and these three kept working with masks and going inside and out to measure and cut. They worked and worked hard. They were all friendly and clean. After the job they made sure to leave our home clean not even noticing they were there. We loved the counters so much we went back to 101 Building at Folsom and ordered our floors. Installed the cabinets about a year ago. The glue on the sides of several of the cabinets started coming loose. I called "Frannie" and she basically said - Out of Warranty - fix it yourself. So apparently the cabinets may look nice - but they won't hold up past your first year and will start coming unglued - like me. read more

The worst experience ever! We picked out a slab went up to buy it the sales person who was completely rude to us told us that he wanted to keep them for himself but then he said "fine I will sell it to you" then we go back to put the sicker on our piece that we had picked out and another couple was debating on whether they wanted the same piece that we had just picked out and wanted to buy...the same RUDE sales man was with us and decided to sell it to the other couple right in front of us it was the most awkward situation ever and then when we called him out on it he said I will not sell it to anyone I am going to keep it for myself!! Huge warehouse, lots of choices. Jackie helped us put together a plan. We were newbies, and he guided us through the process. the installation of our new quartz countertops was smooth, Jianzhi and his partner worked almost without break and put in a beautiful kitchen counter and sink in six hours of tireless labor. They cleaned up after themselves and left hardly a trace of having been there. The amount of work these two guys put in is staggering. Demo, measuring, cutting with a water saw, planing, shaping and bonding, caulking at the end. Great and seamless work. Jackie was flexible and offered several installation times and days to accomodate. Cant say enough good things. We are doing the bathroom next, and we will be back! read more

I can't thank 101 building supply enough! Their warehouse is absolutely incredible. So many choices for countertops (they also have flooring, backsplash; sinks/faucets and cabinets!) Amazing quality and the best prices I've ever seen. I ordered countertops October 30th and they were installed on November 5th. They made the process so easy and let me choose the exact slabs for my kitchen! The morning of my install, they noticed one of the slabs I chose was a slightly different shade and called me, let me know their opinion and then sent me pictures of better matches. We selected a new one that was even more beautiful and matched seamlessly. I am so thankful for their attention to detail and for going the extra mile to make sure we were happy and loved what we were getting. Walked around for about 10 min looking at a very uninviting display area. Then went to the counter. There were 3 employees looking like they were busy. I was hesitant in redoing my kitchen because of the pandemic, but I finally decided to do. I checked out a few other places before I decided to go with 101 Building Supply. 101 had good prices on the quartz and had a big selection to choose from. They also had the most calacatta quartz versus the other stores I've looked at. Furthermore, they were following all COVID-19 guidelines (both at the store and in my home during the installation), which made me feel safe. I prefer the Raley Blvd. showroom over the Folsom Blvd. warehouse. Better lighting. Good selection of quartz countertops. Prices are decent, service was good at the showroom. That's where the positive experience ends. I purchased vanity boxes and a quartz counter for a master bath remodel. The installation was sloppy! Drawers and cabinets were misaligned, crooked, and spaced unevenly. Quick sloppy installation. I had my 18 year old daughter here during installation while I was at work. My mistake, never again! I came home to the cabinet skin laying in my driveway and cigarette butts discarded on my property. I immediately called and asked for a different installer to come and address issues. 101 BS sent the same kid. He did align all cabinet doors and drawers and install cabinet skin leaving noticeable nail holes where it was attached. I asked the installer why my kick plate was raw wood (unpainted) and he explains "that's just how it is." Again, I called and complained for the amount of money I paid for the vanity, counter, and installation I expected a finished kick plate, as it was exposed and noticeable. Again, 101 BS sends the same kid out to paint the kick paint. He proceeds to apply the most toxic smelling paint with a paper towel no less, and then picks up a cardboard paint chip sample laying on the counter and heavily caked the paint on. I accepted this just to get the kid out of my house. I immediately wiped off the paint, as it was thick, caked on, and sloppy. I will attempt to address this problem myself. The young installer had ZERO standards when it came to installation and addressing issues. Buyer beware! I have learned to accept the small imperfections with the vanity and countertops but will NEVER shop 101 again. I'd rather pay more! read more
