I had written a review in March about how the staff was excellent and how they were able to help you find matching items quickly. Recently - we ordered something and it had an issue - some mis-communication between me, my tile person and the sales staff and we ended up with the wrong item. Instead of trying to pin fault, Palm tile agreed to swap out our tiles. And when we did a replacement, the manufacturer sent the wrong thing. Since the issue was discovered during the pickup, they took care of the having the replacement delivered. However, during all this - Palm tile did all the right things, kept us in the loop and resolved the issue without causing us any stress. I very much doubt they made any money on our order and I suspect that they actually lost some money on it - but through this whole tile replacement process, they were committed to get us the right product and make us happy. This kind of customer centric focus is amazing and not all stores go to this level. During the order replacement process, we worked with David and he handled the whole thing without giving us any reasons to worry anytime during this process. However, in addition to making sure that our order was fixed, David is also very knowledgeable about the products. We needed something else too and he was very quickly able to suggest something that was a perfect match for what we had communicated as what we wanted. We also wanted a sample of something else and he personally got the sample from us. Overall - very impressed from the selection to the final order. With the experience we had, I would have zero hesitation in recommending Palm tile to anybody! read more

Such great service! My Tile guy suggested I check out Palm Tile to make selections for two bathroom updates. Here is a summary of my experience. Service/Communication - Wow! From the minute I walked in the door every person has been VERY helpful. Greeting me when I come in. Offering to help me to the car with samples. Going through in-house and online inventory to find the right products and colors. Not only that, but each person is friendly and responsive both over the phone and through emails. Product Quality - They carry top notch products and their selection is great. They have a lot of inventory in the show room but they also have access to so much more online and can order samples in for you, no problem. Please note, their website is not an accurate representation of the volume of product they have, or have access too. They even have access to competitor products that may not be on display in the show room. Pricing - They offer very fair and competitive prices. There were several items that were over my budget so they worked to stay within my budget. For items that were too expensive they found alternatives and even considered competitors prices. I did find cheaper options online, and they kindly educated me about what you get for those prices (typically a lower end product with more imperfections). This really helped in my decision making process. I shopped at several show rooms in the Sacramento area and chose to order ALL of my tile/stone/flooring products through Palm. If you need any type of flooring, tile or countertops these guys are the best. They have an amazing selection and awesome showroom. Every price range and they are very knowledgeable in their field. Lots of stock items that you can take home the same day. Designers,office staff and warehouse employees are the best in town. Owner and manager are down to earth great people. I guess if you're just a little home owner and not a company with billions to spend then you seriously don't matter to contractors and home improvement businesses. Money talks, I get it but what about having integrity to do what you agreed to. I suppose in this dog-eat-dog world that falls to the bottom for some. All I want from PT is new counter tops and backsplash for my kitchen. It's nothing lavishly grand, but this change is a huge deal for me...financially/emotionally. The counters go in without any issue; they're stunning! The problem arrises when it's time to do the backsplash. The first order gets picked up severely cracked as if the boxes were dropped and the install gets canceled. They apologize and reorder. The second order gets inspected prior to the contractor leaving the store and I'm reassured that it's good: it gets installed. I have no reason to believe that there's going to be any problems because they already screwed up so things are going to be legit now, right? The installation takes place and all seems ok, but wait there is a difference in the texture of the backsplash as in two different types as in it's not matching! I'm upset! Seriously?!? My backsplash gets ordered a THIRD time. Except now the contractor is not eager beaver to fix the error which involves removing the wrong to put in the correct. Labor intensive. Oh yea, he got paid because he said let's finish the job with what we got and if I didn't like it still he'd fix it. PT got paid too. You get the picture. I'm left out in the rain without an umbrella (to put it nicely) because I sleep on it and don't like it. After getting a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach I confronted the contractor's unprofessional behavior (avoiding/rescheduling/ arriving late after calling at the time of the appointment) and he walked off without doing the job. Kinda sad because I'm living with it the way it was left. read more

Bought tens thousands of dollars worth of flooring here over the past year and expected good service. Placed an order for a sample 2 months ago, was told they would call when it arrived (gave a 3 day lead time). Never called and 2 weeks later I show up to ask for the sample and was told it was never ordered. They placed the order and once again was told that I would be called when it arrived. I showed up a month later, still no sample. While this time the order was placed, they forgot about it and it's still in their dealers warehouse. (3rd trip here no sample). Now I'm left with a tight schedule and have to go get my material elsewhere from now on. Very nice people, pretty showroom, it's a shame they don't care enough about their customers (even repeat ones) to not waste their time by admittedly just forgetting about them continuously. read more

We were in the store yesterday shopping for tile. We had our masks on and observed social distancing. The employees did NOT have masks on, not one of them. They approached customers and asked to help them without observing social distancing. Ridiculous. Post signs and limit capacity while the employees don't observe protecting customers or governors order?!? Ridiculous! read more

One Stop for all things flooring and Countertops. They have plenty of options and they get the tile for you quick. Their prices are very fair as well. I've looked at other big box and some smaller tile stores in Sacramento. None of them seem to get it right... From what I saw, Palm Tile has very knowledgeable staff who can give many design options (they have good taste too!!). The selection is tasteful and in stock. They have tile, hardwood, granite, even cabinets. They gave me the names of a few contractors who did great work and didn't overcharge me. The contractors even picked up the tile and granite for me. I'm done with house projects for now, but I will go to Palm tile first the next time I'm in the market. I heard from the owner (Doug) that they have plans to expand... My vote is for a store in Folsom or El Dorado Hills next!! read more

I was looking for a specific type of tile trim and called up Palm tile. The woman I spoke with was super helpful in answering all of my questions and suggested I bring in the tile just to make sure they had what I needed in stock. When I arrived a gentlemen greeted me and showed my all the options. Once we determined what I needed, he saw they didn't have it in stock. I am assuming there is a warehouse or something near by, because he said if I had a few minutes he can run and get the part I needed. I waited and true to form he returned with everything I needed. As I was in a pinch timewise to get the pieces, he saved me a ton a stress. Checkout was easy, we went through the invoice and he explained I could return it if needed. However, if what you're looking for is the best selection of quality materials from a dealer who cares about your results Palm Tile should be high on your list. Let's start with their materials. There's a huge selection and ALL the materials are quality goods. No grade B goods to entice with price and disappoint with product. In addition they know their materials and can offer good guidance. What about price? Despite the fact they are a quality materials dealer their prices are very fair. You truly get your moneys worth. Service? We have used them for several home remodels and they have always come through. were they perfect? No, but they more than responded positively when they didn't perform as expected. Finally, I can tell you in the best of faith, that Doug Disney, the owner deeply cares about your experience and is prompt in responding to perceived issues. Would we use them again? We had a wonderful experience working with Palm Tile and Stone Gallery over the course of a bathroom renovation that was interrupted for 6 months because my husband had a triple bypass. We were lucky we chose "in-stock" tile and they were able to continue to take tiles back that we didn't end up needing and to exchange those for the tile we did need to finish the job. We got a very competitive price on the tile and the customer service was excellent. It was a pleasure to visit them numerous times over the course of the almost year it took us to finish the job. Terrible customer service! Was not acknowledged when I walked in despite there being someone sitting at the front desk that made eye contact with me as I walked in. As I browsed through their inventory, I was not asked once if I needed any assistance. There was not a lack of available employees. This place is incredible and their customer service is just as great. After visiting several places we landed at Palm Tile by pure luck and we are so glad we did. Their selection of tile is the best in the Sacramento area. Better than big box stores, they even have more selections than floor and decor!!!! We love our tile and we are looking at getting our countertops for our kitchen remodel with them as well. We just did a major remodel on our master bathroom and hallway bath. We purchased all the materials for both bathrooms from Palm. The service is great when you're there to select and purchase but if you have any issues their customer service is horrific...... I would not buy another thing from this company if it was the last tile store standing in Sacramento. They only have a 30 day return policy and anyone doing a major remodel knows with subcontractors a remodel can rarely be completed in 30 days. We had too much of a stock item and not enough of another. They had no problem charging us for the additional tile we needed but they cared less in helping us with what we over purchased. Customer service is more than a sales man helping you pick out tile and up selling the fancy pieces. We spent a lot of money in your store but BIG MISTAKE on your part for not delivering on the customer experience because I will tell more than 1 friend to NOT GO to Palm because it's all about the all mighty dollar with you.... Our kitchen remodel is next and I can guarantee we will do our business somewhere else!!! Spend your money somewhere else where the customer is important! read more

I finally found the tile (Jewel Sky Topaz with ice white bevel subway tile) for my kitchen remodel that I really like after searching many places. I found & purchased the tile at Palm. The staff has great customer service & they seem genuinely helpful, nice & knowledgeable. They referred me to Tom Hummel Tile & Stone. Tom & his colleague Lance completed the backsplash today & it looks beautiful. They took great care with their work as both have 30 or more years of experience. They also have good customer service, are friendly & want the customer to be happy with the outcome. Tom's prices are fair. I had to reschedule Tom a couple of times due to a countertop delay & he was very flexible. I have a new kitchen to be proud of. The tile makes a world of difference.
