I misjudged the weight of a crate and ouch, that hurt. I assumed it was a simple muscle strain, but I'm no physician. Dr. Weiler, however, recognized my symptoms as consistent with a more serious injury and, thanks to her and her very professional staff, I had an X-ray, an MRI and saw a specialist, all within four days of my initial visit with her. There's no way I could've achieved all these appointments on my own. It's only because of Dr. Weiler and her staff that I got in to see a specialist that very same week. UPDATE: Within 10 days of that first appointment with Dr. Weiler, I learned I'd suffered a 95-percent separation of my bicep, and had the surgery necessary to correct it. Yes. All within 10 days. If not for Dr. Weiler, the injury I mistook for a simple strain could've very easily become so severe that even surgery wouldn't have been an option. Besides that, the specialist to whom she referred me was among the best of the best. Another win for Dr. Weiler. She's got a lot of those.

HOWEVER, half a year later, in May of 2020, we received another bill from them. The bill was exactly the same as the bill of last year ---- they sent the same bill that should have been revoked. We called their office immediately arguing about the bill, they promised us they will resolve it. It is now June and three weeks past, the issue is still not solved.

I appreciate her thoroughness and calm, kind demeanor. I never feel rushed when I have an appointment and most importantly, she listens to what's going on and we have dialogue. She's interested in treating the whole body, not just the symptom. Her after-care communication is great; although the office has an online system that they use for appointments and billing, etc. Dr. Bailey sends your results out by mail and makes herself available if you have any questions. I never feel like my problem is ridiculous or that I'm wrong to call about something. The office is close to bus lines and train lines. Plus, I like the fact that I see all sorts of people in the office coming in, it's a diverse area and that makes me feel more at ease and welcome.

I needed to see a doctor fast to get a basic medical assessment done for my insurance at work. I…read moremet with Dr. Florian, who was great. His staff billed my insurance incorrectly and it was rejected. They then tried to bill me the full amount. My work provides a liason for medical difficulties who then got involved and was able to prove they billed my insurance incorrectly and that they would need to re-send the bill. They claim to have done that. 1 year later I get a bill from them for the entire amount again. I get my company liason involved, who is able to see that they never re-billed my insurance with the correct information (they were entering my name in backwards: last name, first, or vice versa, and the insurance system required the opposite). The head of their billing staff fought with me and with my medical liason until she (the liason) managed to get a copy of both rejected claims from the insurance company and see clear evidence that they were still doing it wrong. At that point, the Phoenix biller finally agreed to re-send. 6 months after that, the same thing happened again. It has now been over 2 years since I had my doctor visit, and I just got another bill in the mail today, still never having gone through my insurance...claiming I owe $750 to get a basic health assessment. I don't trust this office; I'm convinced at this point that their billing people are trying to perpetuate some kind of fraud, and I'm sick of being told every 6 months that my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance somehow won't pay and that I should be responsible for a basic checkup. It's unfortuante because Dr Florian seems like a really upstanding guy.

After including info about a history of knee problems and my request for a woman Dr, I was assigned to Gina. I have NEVER had such a good Dr.s visit and I was getting a full woman's check-up! Gina took the time to discuss all my concerns, examined me fully and was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring physician, but I was especially impressed with the care and concern she took with my knees. I've had issues since an injury when I was 14 and have been basically blown-off by several Drs who said there wasn't much they could do. That as AFTER my chiropractor told me that at 25 I was rapidly heading toward a double knee replacement! Yikes! First of all the surgery center reminds me of an illegal abortion clinic in the Philippines, very scary place. Secondly my attempts to get copies of my medical records have been unsuccessful. I have been trying to get copies of them so that I can go to the RUSH Pain Center which was recommended to me as IPM is a literal nightmare. I have never experienced such a disorganized doctors office with no returned phones calls, no follow up on requests for refills etc etc. I went through a terrible withdrawal from going cold turkey on my meds TWICE due to the fact that no one responds to any phone calls. The pharmacy is In California and is mailed to you so the it takes weeks to get the medication. This year I bit the bullet and bought a much more expensive medical insurance plan so that I could go to a legitimate professional pain center such as at RUSH University. I weaned myself off of the medication I was on so as not to experience the horrible horrible withdrawal symptoms I experienced twice while going to IPM. Now I am living in pain each day at a time waiting for them to give my copies of my medical records so that I can go to another doctor. My next steps will be legal action if I do not receive the medical records by the end of this week. Stay away!

My pain was so bad I finally called my insurance company (Cigna) and asked for in network providers in my area. That's how I found Dr. McGowan. Now I would like to note that I NEVER visit a physician, restaurant, or any business other than what's normal for day to day activity (CVS or Target) without checking their Yelp reviews. My insurance gave me 3 providers, none of which had great reviews *rolls eyes at insurance company* I ended up giving this office a shot because they only had 7 reviews. I feel like less than 10 isn't an accurate assessment (good or bad). The other providers I was given had more bad reviews which tells me that that is the culture within their organizations. The reviews from here weren't coming from fellow Yelp Elite. If I see that someone setup a Yelp account just to write 1 good or bad review I pretty much ignore it. Glad I went with my gut. My appointments went great! I made my initial appointment over the phone. When I came in for both my consultation and follow up visit, I was greeted right away. I think the front desk receptionist's name is Veronica. She was nice. I didn't have to wait long at all to see Dr.McGowan so that is a major plus. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. I first visited the office in mid September. Dr. McGowan sent me to get an epidural at the surgical center on Fullerton 2 weeks after my consultation. Then I waited another 2 weeks for my follow up, which was today. I would definitely recommend Dr. McGowan. I've been tolerating the general incompetence of doctors in this office for ten years, but it's much more difficult to deal with blatant rudeness. As a separate issue, Dr. Patricio is awful about sending prescriptions on time. Some of my medications need to be taken daily, yet Dr. Patricio shows no sense of urgency when sending refills to the pharmacy. A couple of months ago, she was 6 days late sending a prescription to the pharmacy--that was 6 days that I didn't have important medication that I take daily. Despite calling multiple times every day, it took 6 days for her to finally send it. Her behavior is borderline malpractice.

The injections were not painful at all and it helped that he used plenty of ice both before and after the procedure. The cryotherapy stung a little but I expected that to remove some brown spots and skin tags. The price for all three procedures was far less than I thought (like less than a thousand). Wayne at the front desk was amazing. I'm going back in a few months for more work. If you want a place that treats you with respect, I highly recommend.
