After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! John comes and takes a ride with us says hmm that's weird. Yup there's something wrong... That's weird and shoves us off telling us to go home drop the pan and tell him what we find... So what're we left to do? Just that. We go to drop the pan and our first discovery leaves us with a "well Jesus what else is wrong". Every single one of the 14 bolts on the tranny pan were loose. Thank god for the heaping amounts of silicone! we proceed to take the pan out and reach in to check the magnet.... Low and behold TWO not one; but TWO bolts laying in the bottom of the pan from the valve body... Furious at this point we go to talk to him only to find out he went on vacation for the holiday weekend and that's why he brushed us off the night before. Gee guess what; we wanted to go on vacation too but couldn't cause we had to go back and correct the work that you didn't Do properly!Went to talk to him this evening... Not a stand up man; wouldn't own up to his mistake and threw excuse after excuse at us while mumbling his way through it. I suggest no one ever goes there unless you want nothing but an expensive bill and problems!

Big Joe's got us in, not long before closing time. He scanned our computer, realized it was the alternator, not what we had done twice before. He couldn't get a new alternator that late in the day, so HE DROVE US TO A HOTEL, and actually picked us up the next day to go back to his shop. My Original Mitsubishi Oil Filter was still on. So actually I drove my car 20,000miles without an oil change. I am going to take him to court. Then he said my car wouldn't pass inspection without 2 new tires. Went somewhere else and they said My tires were good.
