    Vegan Burger and wedge fries
    Max B.

I got the vegan burger at hodads. It was a frozen veggie patty with lots of nice fresh veggie garnishes. It was bland and dry so I smothered it with ketchup and mustard and that made it fine. The wedge fries were solid, though, and only $5 more. Step up Petco!

Can't speak on the burgers or chicken tenders, but these are my favorite fries in SD!! A perfect steak fry/potato wedge, nice and crispy with yummy seasoning!

Living in Ocean Beach I am going to be a little bias of Hodads but being being able to get it while at a game or concert (Green Day was awesome) is amazing. The ballpark prices are a bit brutal but you expect that going in. Eating a Hodads burger while at the ballpark was great. They don't allow any modifications at Petco Park but that didn't bother me. Tomatoes are easy to take off. Lol. Even though I paid a pretty penny for my burger and fries, there was so much I couldn't even finish it. Gotta love Hodads!

Fast and friendly service. Good food. Much better than the typical ballpark faire. They'll even prepare lettuce-wrapped. Our go-to dining choice for events at Petco Park.

Best burgers in town have moved into Petco Park. It's been a while since I caught a ballgame. So glad I'm taking time to enjoy baseball again in downtown San Diego. I've been to their locations in Ocean Beach and downtown (on 10th). Both have great menu options. The Petco Park location has a limited menu. But what they do offer is so spot on and fulfilling, you'll want to go back for more. I recently got the FTD Burger and a hamburger. Not both for just me, but sampled each for sure. Both burgers had patties that were thick n juicy and cooked to perfection. The hamburger was basic, meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. They give you ketchup, mayo and mustard packets to suit your tastes. The FTD Burger had meat, cheese, onion rings, Mayo and pickles with bbq sauce. The sauce wasn't overly tangy, but had a nice flavor. Exactly how I like it. Also ordered a side of onion rings. Crispy and delicious! They have locations throughout the ballpark on each levels. Make sure you give them a try if you're craving a great burger while visiting the ball yard. Keep on Yelp'n!

Had a burger and fries before Stadium Tour Motley Crue Poison Def Leppard \m/ It was ok served on small paper container for Fries so it was a balancing act with that gigantic Burger. I have eaten at OB and downtown Hodads This one at the baseball stadium was my least favorite even with a good BUZZ it was just ok The OB location is way better

Premade burgers. Nothing to write home about but also nothing too impressive. Service is fast because they are just taking your order and handing you one of the burgers. There is no custom modifications

Onion Rings - my favorite side dish. It's the way to my heart!

Been here many times. Love their thick and juicy burgers. Their onion rings are nicely seasoned and crispy. Service is always friendly and quick.

Our orders were taken quickly, and large waters with lemon were brought out to us. Our burgers came out in about 7 minutes and they were just what the doctor ordered. :) My chicken burger was especially delicious, and I'd asked for extra pickles, and let's just say that the Hodad's chefs did not disappoint. There had to be at least 15 pickles on this bad boy. YUM! Onion rings were crispy and delicious. M. loved his burger and as usual, his only complaint was that he wished it was bigger. Haha. We enjoyed our food and the fun, kitschy Hodad's dining area. I feel like every time I come here, I spot something on the walls, or dangling from somewhere, that I haven't seen before. It's always a good time at Hodad's and it is certainly worth a visit if you haven't been here before. Keep in mind they do have a limited menu (burgers, chicken burgers, veggie burgers, fries, rings, shakes & some beverages and beers.) However, the table next to us ordered shakes and they looked hella good. Next time for us, for sure!! Mahalo!

It's always popping up as one of the best burgers in San Diego. The vibe in the place was cool. Bustling and music blasting. I look around for the menu. Not easy to find. I guess it's one of those "if you know you know" but then I saw a small chalkboard that listed the burger and a tiny printout pizza menu way in the back. I order a burger and coke. So pumped to try it. I ask for no onions and the guy at the register immediately cops a huge attitude like I ruined his day. He points at the chalkboard and says "no substitutions". I reply "no biggie! I can scrape em off or something" dude looks pissed and says "they're hard to scrape off" I know reading this I may sound unreasonable. Maybe dude was having a bad day. But the way he was looking and speaking to me made me want to walk away from the counter not bother ordering. If you are great at burgers but not customer service maybe stay off the register and stick to the grill. My friend with me goes "not very friendly for a place called the friendly" so it wasn't just me. The burger comes out. Honestly I'd bet on a good day it's great. But today it wasn't. Overly greasy. Ironically all of the onions slid right off so I'm not sure why he feels it would be too difficult for me to remove myself. The burger could barely stay in the bun it was so greasy. The aioli spread was all on one side of the burger and it was a mess. I'm not sure if maybe this place used to be great and since has declined, or if the staff was just having such an off day that it reflected in the effort of the food. Or if the guy just had some issue and felt like taking it out on us today. But needless to say. There's plenty of amazing smash burger places in San Diego. Excited to try somewhere else.

They have a really nice covered outdoor patio area along with indoor seating, so there's plenty of space. You place your order at the counter, and the employees bring the food out to your table. Service was quick, the place was clean, and everyone working there was incredibly friendly. They're also dog friendly, which is a huge plus. They even sell dog patties for $4.50. What I ordered: * The Bonehead Burger (3/5): the burger itself was a decent size, but the BBQ sauce was a little too heavy for my taste, and the hamburger patty didn't have much seasoning. There was just a little too much going on flavor-wise, and nothing really stood out about it for me. * Fries (5/5): the fries were honestly incredible. You can order a half portion, and it's still a huge serving that's definitely shareable. The seasoning on them was great too. They also have an awesome craft beer selection on tap. Overall, I'd come back to try the smash burger or just get a side of fries and enjoy a nice craft beer.
