We stopped by on a Sunday in the early evening and only had a brief wait to order. There was someone available to take orders along with a self-order kiosk for convenience. 3x3 Burger ($16.99): We ordered two 3x3s. The patties were extremely thin so it elt more like a double patty than a triple. The flavor was decent with a nice charred taste that added some good flavor to the burger. Small Fries with Fresh Garlic ($5.99): Unfortunately, these were a bit underwhelming. The fresh garlic had a strong flavor and a little kick which I enjoyed, but the bottom of the container was essentially a small puddle of oil with the fries completely drenched. We ended up tossing the fries at the bottom because they were just too oily. Strawberry Lemonade ($5.99): A refreshing drink to go along with the meal though nothing particularly memorable (made with agave). I'm glad there's an eatery offering better ingredient options, especially for those looking to avoid seed oils, but overall the food was just decent and not something I'd particularly go out of my way for. You can either order with a cashier or use one of the self-service kiosks, which makes ordering quick and easy. They also offer canned water, milkshakes, and a variety of other nonalcoholic beverages. I think having craft beer available would really complement the burgers and fries, but they don't serve alcohol. Overall, I'd rate my experience 7/10. The biggest downside was the wait. It took about 30 minutes to receive my burger, which felt excessive for a fast/casual restaurant where you order at the counter or kiosk and there's no table service. It was my first time trying this new(ish) spot in Point Loma and let me say it did not disappoint! It's basically a better for you version of In-N-Out (ironically there's one right across the street). Below are a few notables from my trip. It's a straight forward menu with three main options or you can build your own! I got the BYO burger bowl and my hubby got a BYO double. I got the original spread on the side, I highly suggest it because they give you a large side that you can also use for dipping your fries in! The OG sauce is pretty unreal. Also, don't skip the grilled onions. We also ordered the Loaded Fries, wow. The quality of fry itself was the best I've ever had (big fry fan over here) and I attribute a lot of that to the fact they cook them in beef tallo instead of oil. Also the ketchup packets are organic!! Next time I'm going to get plain fries because they are just too good on their own. We sat at the counter inside, which is a cute spot if you can grab a seat. One big shout out I want to give is to the kitchen staff! They were cranking out meals but still maintained quality. We beat the rush, but shortly after we ordered they had a line out the door. Everyone was helpful and friendly which added to the good experience. Overall, amazing burger spot and a must try. It was actually a slower day (Saturday around 4pm) according to the worker we talked to so we didn't have to wait too long at all. I'm glad I got to finally try this place. It was a little out of the way for me but I made the drive and arrived right when they opened. I walked in and there was a few bench/tables inside and seating outside as well. The benches inside didnt allow much room for your legs to move around as it was not hallow under neither. I took about 3 or 4 bites until I got to the center where my smashed patty was still a bit raw.. that was a bummer and I tried to work around if but I decided to just not finish it since my taste buds felt so overwhelmed. As for the loaded fries! Such a great concept but I honestly think the fired would have been better by themselves because they were amazing! The fries were perfectly fried ans seasoned and didn't need all toppings on them to make them better. My food was brought out pretty quick so that might be why my burger was a bit undercooked but there wasnt a lot of people there and the ones that were there were already eating. Both were solid and tasty albeit slightly greasy. For fries we tried their loaded fries and their regular fries. As a tip I recommend getting the regular fries with a side of the original sauce. The loaded fries slap but it could be a lot to try and power through. Their original sauce is SPECTACULAR. Want to try their others at one point as everything here is homemade from the buns to the sauces. The star of the night? THOSE SHAKES THOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We had heir vanilla with their homemade strawberry puree. 15/10. No notes. Could drown in it. Highly recommend. Special shout out to Jorge and Mary Jane. Both of them handled the busy dinner crowd like pros. Jorge kept checking in with everyone to ensure that they were enjoying the food. You can tell they care about the product but also the customer satisfaction. Parking wise there's a lot it's attached to. You may have to wait a moment for a spot but it goes by quickly. There are a few tables inside and a few spots at the counter and outside but on busy nights be prepared to have to wait for a table as it can get busy. It's very family friendly. My only negatives here was the slightly greasy factor but also please be aware that it's kinda expensive. But with that said, it's due to the quality ingredients.
