When making a decision on a Salon, obvi, point 1 is if they are good at what they do. Point 2, is it a positive atmosphere? If i am going to spend half a day somewhere, it needs to be fun and pleasant and i gotta leave looking better than I originally looked. HOF exceeds on both points. You can tell the staff has been together for a while and they really like each other which is cool AF. Tho this is in west Jersey, it feels like a spot in LES or the village, just much spacier which is refreshing for someone used to cramped up spaces with no privacy in the city. Yes I look funny in my smock but at least I don't have the whole Broadway rush hour people looking in. I went for a color that most stylist didn't want to do as it took many steps and (almost 4 hours) but after 20 years of coloring my hair, I finally got the exact color I dreamed of. I love Nicole Calabrese so very much. I've been going to her for years and I trust no one else with my hair!! She's careful to know what I like and takes the time to suggest and do what will be best for my hair type and style. She's helped me with ideas for what color/cut to get so often that I could go to her and tell her to do whatever she wanted and I would be able to rest knowing I'd love it. She's got some serious talent and so skilled in her trade. I love her heart and her personality and I tell everyone I know where I go for my hair if they're looking for someone wonderful. A hidden gem! My quest to find a great salon is finally over. HOF's ambience is wonderful. The salon was tastefully decorated for the holidays.The staff is inviting, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Carly was my stylist. She's very good! Everyone here is down to earth, which seems to be a rarity in salons today. It was a breath of fresh air! There are an abundance of hair products available for purchase. Very happy with my cut and color! My stylist, MaryAyn knows exactly what I want even when I don't. The cut grows in wonderfully and the color doesn't fade. I love getting my hair cut here. It's a reasonable price and Carly does a fantastic job. I got it done by Eddye once and it turned out great as well. They are always on time as well. Carley really listens and gives her clients what they ask for. She also noticed my scalp was dry and she exfoliated it with a sugar scrub before she shampooed it.
