    Midweek lunch!
    Susan S.

We arrived at a calm time: Midweek lunch at two pm. As always, it was great food and service! My husband loves the schnitzel here, and I love the wurst platter and the red cabbage!

I have been here many times for dinner, and it's a blast, but this was my first time checking out the brunch. We had a great time! They have a theme to each brunch it seems, and the day we went was country music. It's definitely less "crazy" and loud which was nice because we had my daughter with us. The food was really tasty, I had the Belgian waffle topped with apples and it was delicious! My husband got the breakfast skillet and really enjoyed it. I would definitely return for another brunch! Prost!

Ahhhh!!! This place is awesome. Who wouldn't want Octoberfest all year round? And Christmas and Octoberfest combined? Even better. Went here for the Christmas market over the weekend and loved it. The vendors were great and the hot chocolate or mulled wine were delicious. It's also huge in there--you can easily fit 20 people at one table. Great staff and food came out quickly. They have their Christmas mugs right now too. So adorable. Btw, parking right now is $20

Good God, the food was beyond bad. Please enjoy the draft beer but don't order food. Also the live band was replaced by rap music. On a Friday night, the Buffalo Hofbräuhaus was almost empty. So sad. 2 years ago the German food was superb and so was the live band. I won't come back.

    King Ludwig's Feast

Surprised our mom for her 65th birthday here and the place didn't disappoint. From excellent service, great music and of course the food was phenomenal. We got the King Ludwig's feast which gives you a table for yourself and entirely too much food to list here. It says it feeds 8-10 but the six of us barely put a dent in it.

    Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich

Hofbräuhaus is a favorite spot of mine in Buffalo. The food here always slaps. That schnitzel sandwich was so tasty and so crispy, I would get that every time. The pretzel is amazing. The beer cheese is so so good. We also got fried pickle spears, which came with a delicious sauce. I loved everything. Whenever I come here, the food never misses. Love the beer. The atmosphere is top-notch. Service is great. You really can't go wrong by coming here. We came to eat before Sabres game and then came back for more beer and a shot ski after the game. Will definitely be frequenting here often.

Went for the outdoor seasonal Christmas markets at Hofbrauhaus this afternoon. Since I've never been to Germany during Christmas time to experience the Christmas markets, this is the next best thing! The snow was coming down and the wind was blowing. I felt like we were in one of those toy globes that you turn upside down and watch the snow twirl around! My friend and I enjoyed mugs of hot chocolate after doing a little shopping. We enjoyed the lively Christmas music on the covered patio. I took a peek inside the actual dining hall of the restaurant and was surprised that it was so huge. We did not order anything from the menu. Maybe we'll try it another day.

    Lunch with friends

I'm very mixed on this review. This was my 1st visit here and after hearing mostly good things I was anxious to check it out. I met a group of old friends here for lunch. My 1st impression was on how huge this place is. It was very empty this particular day, our group of 6 and a hand full of others at the bar. It almost been too big and unwelcoming. I'm assuming coming at night or for an event it might feel different. My 2nd thought was about how dark it was. We actually had to use our phones to look at the menu. I just wasn't crazy about the feel of thr place. Now the positives. First off our server was fantastic! She was friendly and helpful. After looking at the menu she told us about the $5 lunch special, a smash burger & fries. Yes $5! You certainly can't beat that deal. The fries were nice & crispy & not greasy. The smash burger was ok. Best part was the generous amount of sautéed onions on top. Oh and the beer was good, though forgot what kind I got. I will be back mabe for dinner to check out the rest of the menu. Maybe a German dish or two. Hopefully that raises my 1st impression rating. 2024-97

Great atmosphere.. superb waitress ... awesome beer ... and Tuesdays in December my choice of schnitzel was ONLY $7 ... yes SEVEN DOLLARS!! Imagining how much fun this place is crowded! Our meals were delicious and this place is now on our to go frequently list!!

    Tangy Spicy

Not much to add here, my father wanted to come by for a beer after doing some holiday shopping. I ordered a boozy eggnog, which was supposed to be frozen but it had not quite frozen yet so they served it over ice. No real issue there, but it you love eggnog and like it boozy, it's a good thing to order. My Tangy and Spicy burger was ok, the server didn't ask how I'd like my burger prepared which I thought was odd but medium rare was ok cooking for me. I found the burger a bit lackluster, not very tangy nor spicy.

This is the cookie cutter Hofbrauhaus that you will find throughout their many locations. Huge beer hall with heavy tables and benches, high ceilings, well decorated and of course plenty of outdoor seating. Not sure the capacity but it has to 1,000+. The bar is large and has high top tables. Throughout our entire time here the music played. They had a Photo Booth and had folks play "hold a liter" game. I loved the menu. Between the sausages and wurst it is hard to make a single choice, so I suggest sharing with your group. One of the best dishes was the potato salad. I know you are surprised to hear this but it was great along with the cucumber salad. You must start off with a pretzel which come with a variety of dips. Seems the beer cheese was quite popular with our party.

Ask the Community - Hofbräuhaus Buffalo

Is there live music everyday? If yes, do you know what time?

Many days but not every day. Check their website under "Events" for the calendar / schedule.

Are reservations required, strongly recommend or not necessary?

Unless you have a huge group, I'd say no. The placed accommodates a ton of people.

Does they sell nonalcoholic beer? And if so, does anyone know what brands? Hofbrau has their own which is actually pretty good called 'HOFBRÄU ALKOHOLFRE'.…

When I was there they did not.

There are tvs and games inside, the outside area is available, it's located close to work which makes it good for happy hours. However the beer selection is lacking. Last time I was there they had 20 beer on tap. That sounds great until you realize it's 17 IPAs, a hard seltzer, a lime lager, and a lager. I got the plain lager and it was hoppier than a lager should be. That's the thing, all their stuff is very hoppy and IBU levels aren't shown on the menu. Is there really that much difference to need 17 IPAs? Have a few other styles. They once had something brown, I don't remember if it was a stout, porter, or brown ale, but it was good and not overly hopped. Something like that should be on the menu all the time in addition to a few other styles. They could still have 10 IPAs available. I noticed my previous review indicated 12 ounce pours. They are full pints now.
