Came mid week after kindergarten graduation. We were the only ones sitting outside. Sat at the fire pit so the kids & some adults could play cornhole. Was windy so they put the fire pit on, after 15 we asked to turn it off because it was too hot. We had to go up to the bar & order, flights are not served outside. We had apps....pretzel with spicy mustard, queso & pub sauce, boom boom shrimp, fried pickles with jalapeño ranch dipping sauce, & lobster eggrolls with jalapeño ranch dipping sauce. The apps were all real good but so filling we barely touched our meal. I ordered off the summer menu, Yellowstone campfire plate. It came with beef brisket, bbq chicken, baked beans, Mac& cheese and French fries. What I nibbled on was really good but unfortunately in all the confusion never took the leftovers. For instance tonight I got the "campfire" plate which was fries, Mac and cheese, chicken, and brisket. Fries? Too hot to eat first. Mac and cheese? Literally colder than room temp and DRY! No cheese...like cold dry noodles? The brisket was slimy and small portion sized, the chicken was fine I guess. Everything else was so gross though by the time I got to the chicken I didn't care. I've come every time with my family of 4, and all 3 experiences were the same. I wish the food was anything but what it is because I'd love to come back here. My first time dining at this location. The atmosphere is lodge meets glam - a little disjointed, but everything is sharp lines and clean. The menu was overwhelming in the best way. My dining companions & I agreed we had a difficult time choosing our entrees. Amongst the table, we shared the donut flight (chocolate, powdered sugar, and brown sugar cream cheese) and the sweet potato pecan pancakes. It was a unanimous vote that the brown sugar cream cheese donut was the best (and sadly, the powdered sugar donut was tough to cut with a fork and dry in texture). For my meal, I opted for the queso and pork stuffed chilaquiles verde burrito. The shell was crisp and the pork was tender but I could have used more verde sauce. The only downside was being the first patrons of the day and having to sit through nearly half our meal before drinks were refilled. Our waiter, Jomar, was friendly and checked on us frequently. I ordered the lobster roll which came with fries, and both were good. My Daughters took me and my wife out for my birthday lunch at NY Beer Project in OP. Took the pups and sat on the patio. Little windy but it's a very cool atmosphere. Order at the outside bar and they bring orders to your table. Corn hole boards and big round fire pit to sit at. Shared the huge pretzel and brisket quesadilla. Both were incredible. Everyone loved their food. Wings, Buffalo chicken pizza, cup and char pizza, shrimp tacos, brisket sandwich. All were a hit. Plenty of leftovers too. It's a great place to eat always, but for us, being able to bring the puppy and have a great time is an added bonus. read more

We had lunch with a group of 11! No problem at NYBP. We were seated at a long high top. I shared a lunch; a cup of soup and tacos. The tomato basil soup was very tasty and was topped with pretzel bread croutons and shredded parmesan cheese. We also shared the Boom Boom shrimp tacos. The soft shelled tacos were filled with plenty of large boom boom shrimp, cheddar cheese, pico, lettuce, IPA crema and cilantro. Very tasty too, even though I wouldn't have minded a bit more kick. It's a beautiful building and beautifully decorated and it's super fun to walk in with the fun music that makes you feel like you're in Disney World. The service was good. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the coconut shrimp salad special. The salad was pretty good but there was something gross in it, I think it was just a blob of wilted lettuce, but grossed me out. They did offer to re-make it. The shrimp was big, but not really my preference. The pretzel is always delightful. The dipping sauces were great too. I also tried my companions grilled cheese and that was really good. read more

I've passed this lodge looking establishment several times going down the 219 and having been to their restaurant in Lockport I was expecting good things when I finally stopped for a visit. Walking in that rustic outdoor theme continues, as we made our way to the bar side. We pulled up to a table in the wide open area to celebrate my birthday with a light lunch but the overly loud music made conversation a "outdoor voice" affair as we could barely hear each other from 2 ft away. Our waiter came and got our drinks moving rather quickly and he was the brightest spot during the entire meal. Aside from the side door by the table constantly being opened letting the sun in and with it a nice rush of cold air. I seriously didn't think that door would be opened that frequently... The little yelper got her usual tenders , which were good as she ate them all. The misses got the nacho platter which as it was described was a bit "bland" in the flavor department but "ok". We had a guest join us who ordered the burger and fries, /flat iron. This must have been the best thing on the menu. As there were no leftovers to be taken I ordered the wings Buffalo bleu. Specified crispy and well... they definitely didn't deliver. They were seemingly cooked to the "good enough " standard and were soggy by the time they hit the table.I know from now on to skip that sauce as it was a really odd in the flavor department. Hot sauce and bleu cheese belong together, but there's something odd about this mix that doesn't work. The carrots and celery must have been old as well as they had that sitting in the fridge overnight taste and sog crunch. The bleu cheese, was decent though. I definitely would skip the wings, or at least advise you go to the Lockport location where Ive had much better experiences. Next time I'll just make the trip north. read more

My husband and I were not terribly hungry so we shared a cup of really good tomato soup and a trio of Boom Boom shrimp tacos. The soup had very nice pumpernickel croutons and some "strings" of cheese in it. It was exactly the right temperature, delicious and filling. The shrimp tacos come three on the platter. They were very tasty and quite full of nicely seasoned shrimp. The shrimp were not as spicy as I hoped, but quite flavorful nonetheless. Our waitress handled the table of 11 efficiently, and wrote separate checks for our group. P.S. Everyone who ordered a meal for him or herself left with a doggy bag! Came here on my last day in Western New York and really liked the look of the place, both inside and out. Felt like a great spot to wrap up my trip. I went with the Buffalo Bleu wings as my farewell to Buffalo, along with a side of truffle fries. The wings were flavorful and hit the spot, and the fries were a nice touch, too. Overall, it was the perfect choice for a final dinner before heading home. If I ever make it back out here, I'll definitely try to stop by again and check out more of the menu. read more

Four of us visited this establishment on Monday night. As we approached the building I couldn't get over how the exterior looked like a Bass Pro Mills store in a very good way. We were greeted promptly upon entering and decided to find our way outside. We chose the large fireplace high top table and joined other patrons. The IPA's we had were lacy and hazy - perfect! First time having Buffalo Wings in Buffalo, NY and I LOVE it! I thought i would be disappointed because they use Frank's hot sauce and i don't like that hot sauce. However, the wings were seasoned super well because they seasoned the wings with many other spices. It was super crispy, not too much sauce which was perfect for me. I aslo ordered fried fish with truffles fries. The fish was light coated, crispy; and seasoned perfectly, the fries were crispy and full of truffles flavor! And the flight of beers were so good except the peach beer which was too sour and fruity. I have been to this location a few times, always venturing to the bar inside to the right either to grab a drink with friends or grab dinner late night. The place feels like a resort when you walk in! They have a lot of different beer options, my go-to is the mexican cerveza. Any of the food items I've tried have always been delicious. I always opt for their sweet potato fries that come with a sweet sauce. And the summer panini has been my favorite item to order so far! The bartenders are always attentive and make sure to keep the beer glasses full! And when the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is beautiful to hang at! read more

Late lunch today. We chose the bar side since there was a bit of a wait for a table on the restaurant side. Our server Jesse was great! We didn't wait long for anything and he was very attentive. I had the brisket melt sandwich and my husband had the Nashville chicken sandwich. The brisket was a little bland and the bbq sauce could have had more spice to it. The Nashville chicken sandwich was very good. Couldn't be there and not have a couple beers. The OP lager is one of my favorites. I like that it's as if there's two separate restaurants here depending on the atmosphere you're looking for. Can't forget the patio in the warm weather months. read more

Sunday brunch at the lodge. We were seated right away. Large room with comfy benches. A server came over right away and was attentive the entire time. Tried my sister's virgin Bloody Mary. I like spicy and I thought it was a bit too spicy. The bartender gave her the skewer of cheese pep and olive even tho she didn't order it. I got a hop water and daughter got a cranberry mimosa. My daughter ordered the breakfast pizza. Tried it and thought the best thing about it was the everything bagel crust. Rest was just ok. Thickest part of dough was a bit doughy and unflavorful. Not really enough toppings on it. My sister got the brisket eggs and hash...hash really was just the same potatoes I had with my crab cake benny. The brisket was good, the whole dish I'd give a B+. It had a drizzle of bbq, that made her dish pretty salty. But good, none-the-less. Crab cake was not a crab cake but a 1/8-1/4" crab patty which two ppl who tried it said it was fishy. I didn't think that, I just thought it was too small and not enough to taste crab in the dish. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The hollandaise was pretty good, it didn't have a ton of flavor. The potatoes were pretty good, a little dry. I would've enjoyed some fresh onion in there, but I know everyone doesn't like onion. I would not get that again. I give it a C. I will be back because I love the place and the beer, I now know what not to get for brunch. read more

I'll start with the positives. The restaurant is beautiful. I love that on one side of the building they have the regular wait to be seated option then on the other side of the building they have the grab a table when it's free option and the outdoor space is beautiful. Now the not so positives. This was my second time and the first time was good, nothing great, but I was expecting at least the same if not better. My expectations were too high cause the food was awful. The rice and beans was just a scoop of sticky rice with luke warm canned black beans on top. I only took one bite of the flavorless imitation lobster roll. We asked for a burger well done and it was burnt. The brisket sandwich meat was so tough you couldn't eat it. So I guess, lesson learned. If I do come back I'll just stick to beer and appetizers and see how that goes. read more

We have been to the Lockport and Rochester locations so we wanted to try OP. It didn't disappoint and the food was wonderful. The only think we had to say was a little negative was the room we were seated in had huge windows but no shades. We were only a party of 2 so we just sat together with the sun facing our backs. But we did noticed other customers moving chairs to keep the sun out of their eyes. We may come back in October when my son from FL is in town. Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening, we were seated right away but our waitress didn't come for a little bit for our drink order. We both had beers , a sour and watermelon wheat and both were tasty. We ordered a pretzel which came out quick and was really soft and delicious. Reminds me of a Cabela's on the outside. 50s westerns music playing outside is an interesting thing. 5 for service 3-3.5 for food. Full disclaimer we had a table of 12 which I know affects things. My Celebration Sandwich was good. Beef was tender and flavorful. Fries were lukewarm, and fries are something that usually need to be fresh to be good, so they were only ok. Other people at the table also mentioned their food wasn't hot. I'm guessing since it all came out together that some of it sat before coming out so that it all came together. Again, large single table probably played a role in that. Service was great though. Appetizers came out fast and were great. Not impressed. This was not like the NYBP in Lockport and Rochester. My daughter always orders steak medium rare and has enjoyed it at the two other locations. The cut of the meat was not a good one. My husband and I both ordered the mulberry pizza and Buffalo chicken pizza. They came out first. My daughter's steak came out 5 minutes later and it was overcooked so it was sent back. She had to wait. We finished our pizzas and still no steak. When her second steak was delivered to the table, the meat was better, but about the same. She struggled to cut it and it was cooked unevenly. The manager offered 2 coupons for future visits worth 5 dollars each. I don't really know what else to say, as we feel indifferent. As impressive as the original location in Lockport is, the Lodge may have even more of a WOW factor. Both the lot and building are bigger, as is the outside patio. I knew that it was sure to be packed during dinner on Friday so we tried to get here before the rush. No such luck. Still plenty of parking, but there was an hour wait for the restaurant. A few open tables in the bar area, but service has always been hit and miss at the Lockport location. Not so here. We received service right away from a friendly attentive waitress. I tried the location-only s'mores old fashioned. So good. For dinner, I had one of my favorites, the Upper East side (sans lettuce and tomato) and upped my fries to the truffle fries, along with a side of garlic aioli. Cooked perfectly medium rare to order. I only ate half but my avocado stayed amazingly fresh when I reheated the other half the next day. My son tried the celebration chuck roast sandwich...sans cheese (I swear he's mine, I was there when he was born)...and enjoyed it. Very satisfying experience. We'll definitely be back on days we visit parks in the area like the Eternal Flame Falls. read more

The patio space is great and inviting with cornhole tables and a fire pit . I wanted to dine indoors though , as the outside area only offers a limited food menu . We only had a 5 minute wait before we were seated . My friend Maryanne and I started out with their giant pretzel served with mustard , beer cheese and pub sauce (our favorite ) . They do not serve a side order of Mac and cheese , but our server allowed me to get a kids portion - which I paired with a side Caesar salad . Everything was delicious. Absolute amazing location. The indoor and outdoor space is so fresh and fun. There's plenty of space to eat, drink and hang out. They have several different areas for hosting parties as well! The staff were all very friendly. The hostess seemed a little overwhelmed but there were a few big groups that came in to eat so she had some rearranging to do. The waitresses were great and service was very quick! Food is a 5/5 always. No matter what NYBP location you go to, you won't be disappointed. Drinks were fun as well, we got some cocktails off the summer menu so it was fun to try them. This business has been a great new addition to the restaurant/brewery scene in Orchard Park. The building itself is beautiful and very spacious. The woodwork and materials used in the construction of this building are high-end and make you feel like you're on vacation! Went for a work lunch, got there about 20 mi it's after opening, had no trouble getting a table. But by the time we left, it was packed. Great ambiance. The upper level was closed, but the area we were in was nice. The service was good. Attentive service, water was always kept filled. I ordered the baja fish tacos. The fish was seasoned well, and the slaw was good. My only thing was the tortillas were not grilled, so the slaw made them very soggy.
