I could write a book about the world-class care our dogs get at Healing Touch. Dr. Gray has been our vet for over a decade and we've also seen Dr. K and Dr. Audra and both are terrific. Without exaggeration, we've had extra quality years with our dogs that we would have missed with less skilled care. Recently, we've spent some time on the east coast and practices there with great reputations are far behind where Healing Touch is in new treatment options (one vet kindly duplicated the weekly treatments Dr. Gray was doing for our guy at Healing Touch and subsequently started offering similar treatments to her patients). Everyone who works there is genuinely lovely and kind (Tanisha, the practice manager, should run the world) and I learn so much from them. We are beyond grateful for all they do and I can't recommend the practice more highly.

But that was not the fault of the provider, just the fault of what I was having to do. The vet was very nice and very patient. She even gave me a late night appointment so I could spend some quality time with my Dog. Writing this review brings up my pain again, but they did such a good job that I want other people to know about them. They were, expensive, but that was partially because it was a late night visit.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. The first photo is the day Oliver met Lilo as a puppy, their first photo together. The second was taken just before the veterinarian arrived to help Lilo pass. I didn't realize until later that I had unknowingly captured both the beginning and the end of their story together I will miss my Lilo for eternity.

Absolute nightmare. Do not trust ACCESS Woodland Hills with your pets…read more I am completely devastated by the treatment my dog and I received here. My dog was referred here for an urgent ultrasound on May 7th. Since my dog is unwell due to an enlarged prostate + infection and uti, I opted for him to get admitted on fluids, antibiotics and pain meds. Overnight we were getting updates and per techs my dog is doing fine. The next morning, Dr. Zhang mentioned concern regarding my dog being in a lot of pain, no appetite and told us he needs an ultrasound and an ultrasound with needle aspiration to figure out what is going on. I ONLY CONSENTED FOR ULTRASOUND and for some reason Dr. Zhang decides to do the ultrasound with fine needle aspiration anyway. Based on this unauthorized test, she gave my dog a horrific, terminal diagnosis of septic bacterial effusion or an infected fluid leak in the abdomen. She claimed it could not be medically managed. She gave me two choices: $20,000 for emergency surgery with a 50/50 survival rate, or euthanize him immediately because he would deteriorate within 24 hours. Refusing to give up, I took him to Mission Veterinary the next day for a second opinion. Their vet found ZERO fluid in his abdomen. It was a treatable prostate infection--not a terminal septic abdomen. He was treated conservatively with fluids and antibiotics. No surgery was performed. Today, my dog is alive, healthy, and fully recovered. If Dr. Zhang's diagnosis had been accurate, my dog would have died without immediate surgery. A true septic abdomen cannot be medically managed, and septic fluid cannot simply be "absorbed by the body." So WHERE DID THE FLUID COME FROM? Was it really done, is it from somebody else's pet or a false result??? Yet, when I demanded accountability, the medical director brushed me off with medical nonsense, claiming the fluid was reabsorbed and that my dog "got lucky." (Also note that I got the 2nd opinion less than 24hrs of grave misdiagnosis) ACCESS constantly posts public boilerplate responses on reviews telling people to contact them because they "take concerns seriously." It is a complete lie. When I actually raised my concerns, it took them weeks to respond, and they ultimately just ignored me in the end. They have completely ghosted my formal requests for a resolution. They care about money and optics, not animals. STAY FAR AWAY. They prey on your vulnerability and love for your pet! This hospital almost killed my dog and I thank God every day that I did not listen to them!!!

I've been bringing my 19-year-old pup here for the last 6 years, and I honestly can't imagine trusting anyone else. Having a senior dog comes with its fair share of challenges, but every time we walk through those doors, Dr. Oh gives me peace of mind. Somehow I always leave thinking, "Okay...my old man is going to be okay." My pup has struggled with seizures for the last three years, and instead of immediately pushing expensive treatments, Dr. Oh recommended natural supplements that have made a huge difference. We went from about two seizures a week to only every several months! Now that my sweet old guy is dealing with doggy dementia, Dr. Oh has continued to be amazing--recommending affordable supplements, giving practical tips to keep him safe at home, and helping me make the best decisions for his quality of life. One thing I appreciate the most? No nickel-and-diming. I never feel pressured into unnecessary tests or treatments. If something isn't needed, he'll tell you. That kind of honesty is hard to find these days, and it means everything when you're caring for a senior pet. The clinic is always clean, and the staff is kind, patient, and genuinely attentive. They make every visit as stress-free as possible. Located on Sherman Way & Van Nuys Blvd, inside the shopping center with Pablo's, Dunkin', and Otto Sushi, with a large parking lot so finding a space is easy. Thank you, Dr. Oh and the entire Van Nuys Pet Clinic team, for helping my old guy enjoy his golden years. You have cared for him like family, and I'll always be grateful.

The girls at the front desk went above and beyond by squeezing my little guy in at the very end of the day on one of their busiest days before the Fourth of July holiday. I know they were extremely busy, but they still made time for us, and I'm so grateful. My little pup decided to do some "parkour" off the furniture after the midweek fireworks scared him, and he suddenly became completely non-weight-bearing on his back leg.Dr. Oh was absolutely amazing. He wasted no time getting X-rays, quickly diagnosed a hairline fracture, and thoroughly explained everything to me. Thankfully, surgery wasn't necessary, and we have a treatment plan to help him heal. Every single person we encountered showed genuine care, kindness, and compassion not just for my dog, but for me as a worried pet parent. The clinic itself is adorable too! I loved all the cute pet photos decorating the office and wish I had taken more pictures because it has such a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you, Dr. Oh and the entire Van Nuys Vet Clinic team, for taking such great care of my little guy. We truly appreciate everything you did and couldn't have asked for a better experience during such a stressful day.
