Note: This review is for DENTAL services only. My vet doesn't perform dental services, so we brought our kitty in to Healing Touch for a teeth cleaning. We chose them due to proximity, reviews, and the no anesthesia approach. We were happy with the service, and will definitely use them again in the future. The only reason one star was docked off the review is the lack of evening or weekend availability for dental service. I brought my 1yo dog in for bad breath and slight underweight issues that I thought was related to microbiome. We brush and scale his teeth regularly and cook high protein grass fed organic food for him. After seeing Dr Audra for 15 mins, her staff kept me waiting for 2 hours, then asked me to do a panel of 30+ tests and procedures that costs $7000 which they said was customized but included flea tick medicine. This place is a joke. We dont mind going all out for our dogs. They eat better than my family and travel internationally but this vet is for suckers. read more

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your clinic. Prior to my appointment, I sent multiple emails containing extensive medical records, specialist reports, and a detailed summary of my dog's condition. I spent considerable time gathering and organizing this information so that the veterinary team would have a clear understanding of the case before the visit. On the day of the appointment, I took time off work and drove approximately one hour to your clinic. Upon entering the examination room, the technician asked what was wrong with my dog. Given the volume of records and summaries that had been submitted in advance, I asked whether those materials had been reviewed. The technician informed me that they had not. I then requested that the records be reviewed before proceeding, as they contained extensive information from specialists and would provide important context for the appointment. A few minutes later, another staff member entered the room and informed me that I had been rude to the assistant and that the clinic would not be seeing my dog. I was shocked by this decision. At no point did I raise my voice, use inappropriate language, or behave in a disrespectful manner. I simply asked whether the records I had submitted had been reviewed and requested that they be considered before the appointment continued. As a result of this decision, I lost a day of work, spent significant time traveling to your clinic, and was denied care after making every effort to provide your staff with the information necessary to prepare for the appointment. This incident was particularly disappointing because it follows a previous experience at your clinic that left me concerned about communication, attention to detail, and the overall quality of the client experience. Unfortunately, this latest interaction has completely eliminated my confidence in your practice I believe clients should be able to respectfully ask whether medical records have been reviewed without fear of having their appointment terminated. read more

Complete scam and money grab. I called to schedule acupuncture for my dog who was end stage kidney disease. I was told that in order to get acupuncture I'd have to agree to an exam for $189.00 and this didn't include the acupuncture. They said this included a nutrition consultation. I spent about 4 hours there that day, mostly waiting. I don't know why bc there were no other clients there the whole time. There was no nutrition consultation. It was a dog food salesperson pitching his company's food and trying to make a commission off me. The vet said my dog had "raging heart disease" and that doing sub q fluids could kill him. They tried to sell me over 5,000 worth of scam including blowing air up my dying dog' a**. The things they tried to sell me were not necessary or helpful and some would have been harmful to his already frail condition. They wanted $700 for the "raging heart disease."In the end they scammed $300 out of me for the fraudulent exam and the acupuncture. After I declined to be further scammed, they were clearly done with me. The acupuncture, if they even did it, was about 5 min long and had no effect on my dog. Nobody even came out to tell me how my dog tolerated it or anything. I went to see my amazing regular vet the next day who confirmed that my dog did not have "raging heart disease" and that I should continue with the sub q fluids necessary to support his kidneys. Not only is this place a scam but they will do actual harm to your pets. These are the types of vets that make people distrust vets and then it's the vet profession as a whole and the animals who suffer for it. They should be ashamed and quite frankly out of business. They took advantage of my vulnerability in that my dog was dying. Nobody there wanted to help my dog. They wanted as much money from me as possible even if it meant making my frail dying dog worse. Thought we would try a new vet. After I received the list of recommendations? I emailed the list to two others vets. Including our other holistic vet. Both felt this was greed and a money grab. I brought my dog in for acupuncture, expecting a thoughtful consult. Instead, no one spoke with me, no questions were asked, and they took my dog to the back without explanation. No discussion of symptoms, no treatment plan, no follow-up. The place pushes questionable "therapies" like ozone treatment and feels more like a wellness scam than a veterinary clinic. Holy upsell, I'm so annoyed I paid a $200 fee for a what felt like a 10 minute timeshare Ponzi scheme, another $160 for a brief accupuncture session, and yet for some reason sat in the waiting room for 2 hours. I'll first start off with the fact I have never reviewed a business on Yelp, I've been going back and forth about telling my story, but it has been long enough and I feel my beloved pup needs justice and this needs to be shared with other pet owners. When Dr. Audra was in Sherman Oaks, I had brought both my yorkies to her, things seemed to be fine and she was always attentive. Fast forward a few years later, I start to notice some symptoms in one of my yorkies, and of course I brought him in for testing. He had blood tests, we changed this food, put him in medication etc etc. It was suspected that he had possible kushings disease, so we kept him on blood pressure medication and continued to exercise him and attend to his needs. The last and final time I went back to Healing Touch, I was placed with Dr. K instead since Dr. Audra, since she was unavailable that day. Dr. K told me his blood pressure was better and recommended X-rays on his abdominals. We went ahead and paid a hefty bill, did more tests and got the x-rays. Before the end of the appointment, Dr. K said he'd look over the x-rays before the end of the day and call me as he knew I was concerned. End of the day came and that call never came. I called the following day and the receptionist told me that Dr. K. told her to tell me I needed to send the x-rays to a radiologist for an additional fee. Let me be clear- at NO point did Dr. K say that I needed to pay an additional $400 fee for someone ELSE to review the x-rays, and I thought it was quite rude he couldn't even call me himself. A couple more days go by and I get a very cold email from Healing Touch saying that Dr. K looked at the x-rays, and basically my yorkie is in MAJOR trouble. I freaked out and called them immediately begging them if I could have a bit more of an understanding of what these results mean and if he should be even hospitalized at this point. Of course their response "we'll let you him know you called, please follow his recommendations, would you like to schedule the radiologist?" I was completely floored based on the response, especially because both my dogs had been patients of Dr. Audra for years and I know she would have never treated me this way. It pains me to share this, but about 3 days later my beloved yorkie died unexpectedly in my arms. I am to this day absolutely traumatized that no one could even call me to alert me that his results were that bad, or if there was something even more urgent they cold do besides "sending the x-rays to someone else." There is not a day that goes by I don't think about this situation. I want to share this not to bash this business, but for them to take some accountability about what happened, especially to someone that had been with them that long. Even after my beloved pet passed, I didn't even get a call from either Dr. -except a lame card 2 weeks later in the mail. I am not someone who exaggerates, as this is a true story. I pray for anyone else who experiences something like this, and I hope Dr. K can take some accountability too for the lack of care he showed my family, and more so, our pets. read more

I never leave bad reviews in Yelp, figuring people should make up their own minds. But I feel I must let people know about this place so that they don't waste their hard-earned money on it. First time, I went to this vet for cold laser only, They said I had to give them my dog for a preliminary exam in the back first. Then they came in and tried to sell me on a multi-thousand dollar bill for things she didn't need. Then the Doctor who met with me was very condescending and essentially told me everything I was doing for my dog was wrong. He even had the nerve to say "you don't seem like the kind of person who would go to a holistic vet". I of course said I'd go anywhere necessary to help my dogs, my children. About a year later I decided to go there for acupuncture, since I was told it was a different Doctor who did the acupuncture. The first thing they did was again come in with a multi-thousand dollar bill for unnecessary procedures, when they knew I was only there for acupuncture. Then they told me that the last time they had seen my dog she had a heart murmur of 4 out of 6 and now it was a 5 out of 6 and they would recommend a cardiologist immediately along with a bunch of their products to help the heart. This of course scared me to death. I ended up going to a very high-end cardiologist for dogs out of Pasadena (not the person they recommended) and I got her an echocardiogram there. The heart specialist told me she was a 1 out of 6 and that there was nothing to worry about. It is absolutely appalling to me that this place is so intent on gouging people for money that they continuously push expensive bills for unnecessary procedures. Additionally, I find it completely unconscionable that they literally scare you about the health of your pet to get you to buy their holistic products. We love healing touch. Although it can be a little bit pricey by the time I leave , my dog leaves feeling a million bucks. He has a pep in his step, he loves acupuncture and ozone therapy and vitamin shots. We love a holistic approach to pet care. My doggy is 14 and still looks like a puppy. We've been coming to healing touch since 2020 and I really feel they've extended his life span. ( my doggy is a Yorkshire terrier so life expectancy is longer than most for reference) read more

There aren't enough superlative and glowing things I can say about Dr. Audra and the team at Healing Touch. My beloved dog Annie has a growth in her chest and I was told by oncologists and other vets that we maybe had 3 months left with Annie and that was if we did an very invasive surgery that had a high probability of debilitating or even killing my sweet pup. Dr. Audra guided us to a number of therapies we've been doing and all I know is that we are now here in 2025 and Annie is still here. Years beyond what was "supposed" to be possible. You can tell Dr. Audra genuinely cares about the animals and their people. I'm so grateful for her and her unique and important work. read more

I could write a book about the world-class care our dogs get at Healing Touch. Dr. Gray has been our vet for over a decade and we've also seen Dr. K and Dr. Audra and both are terrific. Without exaggeration, we've had extra quality years with our dogs that we would have missed with less skilled care. Recently, we've spent some time on the east coast and practices there with great reputations are far behind where Healing Touch is in new treatment options (one vet kindly duplicated the weekly treatments Dr. Gray was doing for our guy at Healing Touch and subsequently started offering similar treatments to her patients). Everyone who works there is genuinely lovely and kind (Tanisha, the practice manager, should run the world) and I learn so much from them. We are beyond grateful for all they do and I can't recommend the practice more highly. read more

Don't bother and look at the huge number of 1 star reviews. Very telling that this place doesn't respond to the reviews. As a business owner myself, I can't imagine not responding to bad reviews, as I try to provide the best service I can to my customers. I live literally across the street from their new location in Tarzana. I called because my cat needed some simple antibiotic drops for her eyes. (She has had some discharge lately...very common in cats and have had it dealt with at least five times in the past with other cats over the years via a number of different vets. My animals are usually pretty healthy, so we only go to the vet for regular shots and if there is a problem.) Here, all it requires is some eye drops. Should be less than $50, tops. I spoke with a friendly gal who answered the phone. She said their "on boarding process" takes 2-3 days, and costs $169, and that they didn't have any appointments until next week. No problem with the scheduling delay...all vets are busy. The "good" news is that the "on boarding" charge includes "chiropractic" services - for a house cat. I recognize that this place advertises itself as "holistic," but c'mon. Chiropractic services for a cat? "On boarding?" The process of taking a look at my cat, seeing that she needs some drops for her eyes, and either giving them to me or writing a prescription should take less than 15 minutes for a competent vet. It is really unfortunate that, in today's day and age, we are forced to go to urgent care for something so simple. Lord knows what they would charge for some simple eye drops had I actually signed up. Probably would have required that I submit myself for a physical. LOL. I so hoped this place would be good considering how close they are to my house, and considering that I have two other cats and dogs, but NOPE. If you are looking for a simple veterinarian, look elsewhere. So disappointing, and from the very negative reviews on Yelp, my experience seems pretty common. The space they are occupying use to be a terrific nail salon, and my wife and daughters were very upset when it closed. We had high hopes when we saw a vet took over the space. The salon failed in this space, and they were lovely and a great business. Given the above, this place won't be here long. Look elsewhere. Maybe I got the wrong impression...if so, I'd be delighted to talk with the owner if he or she cares to respond. Given the lack of response to prior bad reviews, I won't hold my breath. read more

If you're looking for total wellness for your dog or to rehab your dog after an injury or from arthritis, etc., there is nowhere better than this place. I've brought many dogs through this place over the years for a variety of conditions ranging from elbow dyplasia on a 5 yr old female lab, to arthritis in the hips on a 5 year old boxer, to a spider bite on my 9 year old basset that went necrotic, to an ACL tear on my ridgeback mix. With my own eyes, I've seen her work (mix of Chinese and western medicine) restore these animals to their optimal health over a period of months through consistent visits. Dogs even look a few years younger, if you can believe that. It's nothing short of inspiring and such a huge relief. Her approach is holistic veterinary medicine and she performs k-laser, the halo, chiropractic, accupuncture and energy work. Her people do the hydro-therapy tank (under water treadmill) and laser therapy on the joints to increase bloodflow and reduce inflammation. With proper diet and this kind of care, miracles can be achieved. Dr. Audra's bedside manner is serious but fantastic. The dogs all really like her and now go bounding into the office when we get there, which is just nice to see. The location is very convenient (south of ventura on van nuys) and there's loads of parking. They also have a lady that does the anesthesia free teeth cleaning if you want your dog's dental work done, too, which is nice. She is pricey, but when you go see her, money is never the main concern. Her priority is clearly the animal and her staff seem to hold the same priority, which is refreshing. I would recommend Dr. Audra to anyone who has an animal in pain or to someone interested in bringing their animal to optimal health. read more

I was referred to Dr. McCorkle by another vet who said she was the only person who may offer hope for little Winston, a rescue kitten who was just 5 months old & suffering from wet FIP. She made a tremendous impact on his short life, my only regret is not finding her a few weeks earlier. He thrived after acupuncture & it really seemed as though her treatments would stop the progression of his FIP. Sadly & very suddenly, he gave up fighting, but Dr. McCorkle gave him many weeks of sheer happiness & joy, which is not common with FIP. Dr. McCorkle is a seasoned pro & her treatment regimen exceeded my expectations. Her staff is caring & patient, which is rare. Ive been taking my dogs and cats to Dr Kay and Dr Grey for...20 years? Ive had multiple issues with multiple pets from minor to the worst. I trust them more than any other of the many many vets Ive used including emergency rooms, specialists etc. healing touch is a full on holistic clinic. Dr Kay and Dr Grey offer western and holistic. They also do surgeries, and dentals. The office staff is very nice, and they care. I cant speak for Dr Audra. She specializes in alternative care and if that is what, and all you need, Ive heard great things. Dr Kay and Dr Grey also offer alternative help for your pets too. IT' A MIRACLE!! Dr. Kay is AMAZING. I brought my dog into Healing Touch because he was not able to walk on his hind legs, nor stand up for a couple of weeks. He was barely eating or drinking. (This is the 2nd time this is happened in a six month period). After visiting 2 western medical facilities and paying $$$$ for basically x-rays, a check up and some medicine, he still wasn't able to walk after 10 days. Although the x-rays were necessary for Healing Touch to see what was going on in his rear area. So, l hesitantly made an appointment with Dr. Kay the Acupuncture/Cold Laser doctor. I was at the facility for over 3 hours. The staff was kind and thorough. After the exam, Dr. Kay came out an gave me his diagnosis. He spent over 1/2 hour giving me options. After making decisions, my dog was taken in for treatments. Simultaneously, the nutritionist came out and spent over an hour discussing nutritional needs, quality of dog foods and treats (while not trying to sell their own brand). Well it's been 5 days now and the bottom line is the next morning my dog woke up with white bright eyes and happier than I've seen him in quite a long time. My dog was able to walk and kept trying to jump I had to keep him down at least for a couple of days so, he wouldn't hurt himself again. All in all, I cannot recommend Dr. Kay and his staff highly enough. Like I said in the begging "IT'S A MIRACLE" Thank you Dr. Kay!! read more

I agree with all the negative comments!!! Regardless of covid, waiting in the car for over 3 hours each visit!!! They take too many clients at the same time?! And you can't go inside, so I had no idea where my animal was for those 3 hours. I took her in for breathing issues and they were giving her rectal lazer therapy!!! Among other procedures that had nothing to do with her breathing. Chinese herbs prescribed...ever try to give a cat horrible tasting chinese herbs, does not work. Spent about $2,000 and her breathing issues never made an improvement. Felt ripped off, could only speak to the vet through a tech who came to my car to relay the messages. Just felt like total chaos, so many techs, one vet?? too busy, too expensive, too time consumming. I will spend anything on my pet, but when it is spent with no answers and no improvement, it is money and time waisted. My pet who is so sweet would come out from the 3 hour appointment, hissing and screaming and traumatized. Don't go to this place. You have to wait to become a client, wait to see the vet, never really receive a diagnosis. Anyone know a good holistic vet? I am at my wits end to get true holistic care. I never write things like this, its not really who I am, but I felt it necessary for all our beloved pets to not have to go through this and for you to not waste your money. I have been coming to this vet for at least 4 years, and within the past year I am so disappointed with their service. I understand only the animals are allowed to come in the office, but that means the vet needs to have better communication with the owners! I sent my dog in because he was limping, and I couldn't tell which foot or if there is something wrong with his hips, etc. This appointment I luckily didn't have to wait in my car for an hour before they actually took my dog in. Once he was in a women calls me to tell me his treatment plan.. it's was over $700! I asked what exactly is going on, and how will all these treatments help.. her answer "it's just going to help with this issue" I said I need to know the exact issue before I have do all of that, and she still couldn't give me an answer!!!She went back to ask the doctor. She calls me back to tell me that now he needs an X-ray for the doctor to know exactly what's wrong. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! You try and sell me over $700 worth of treatment to then tell me the doctor doesn't even know exactly what's wrong. I am so frustrated and beyond pissed about how they just made this crazy treatment place without even knowing what is wrong with my dog. It's not right and they are taking advantage of this situation because we're not allowed to be in the office with our pet. I asked if I can speak with the doctor multiple times because I was getting so confused on what they were even trying to do and of course the doctor is busy and she'll call me later. When I picked up my dog The person that brought him out had no idea what was even going on. I asked what happened during the appointment? How did it go? She tells me she doesn't know and she just got back from lunch. I didn't get ANY of my questions answered. If we're paying all this money to come to your office we should be allowed to speak to the doctor that is making these medical decisions for our pets. It makes me super uncomfortable that they think it's okay to not have any explanation behind what they are doing. I really wanted to like this place. Holistic vet care for my dog, finally a place in alignment with my values for care. I respect and understand these circumstances are unique with COVID and initially I took this into consideration my first few visits. Right off the bat there were some things that didn't settle well in my gut, I let it slide for the top dollar services I was told I would be getting. I will state my three conversations with Dr. Audra of the 7 visits to the vet in 2 months were positive and I truly believe she wants the best for the animals she works with. I feel she's working with high technology care and amazing therapies and I'm disappointed that my experience has come down to this. This is really in response to a majority of her staff. Avoidant, incompetent, clearly overwhelmed and understaffed I experienced situation after situation of dropping the ball on some serious matters regarding my animals care. My dog has a serious autoimmune condition and I came to healing touch for some hope in his recovery after 4 intense days in emergency ICU and $13,000 of bills. Ive spent well over $5000 at this vet in only a couple of months just on acupuncture, UVB and some injections. Unfortunately in this process I've had 20 minutes of ability to speak to the doctor EVER, in total. I have visited this place many times, clocking in a lot of hours of waiting and being patient. Most of the employees are deer In headlights, taking notes about my animals updates but never following up with any notes from the doctor or comments about care / meds / progress ongoing. After the visit my dog gets passed off to me and I get charged a minimum of $400 (that's a good day) and I'm on my way mystified and uniformed about what's actually going on with my animal and proactive ways to continue ongoing care. My dogs prescriptions have been forgotten to be ordered, some of the female staff members have attitudes like they just got out of a juvenile detention center and They've dropped the ball on testing him and overall care. Disregard for others time, there have been visits where I've actually sat in my car for over 4 hrs (very common) waiting for my animal...then no one spoke to me after the visit. I heard through the grapevine this place was wonderful and smooth prior to covid. Maybe my timing is off, but it's important that this business get themselves and their operations in check in order to regroup and serve their community better. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND DR AUDRA AS A VET. Story below. At the time visiting the Dr, I was impressed by her knowledge of general holistic healing and what she believed applied to pets. My cat was ill to the point of exhaustion and hadn't eaten for two days, and we were concerned. We brought her here, and Dr Audra's acupuncture relived my cat of pain. After the acupuncture, my cat displayed signs of relief. Dr Audra claimed to speak to my cat's guides, and recovered the information that my cat was dealing with certain pains and deficiencies in her diet and needed some specific herbal medicines. They were costly, but I love my cat, so I paid the money - around $600 if I recall. The cost included; - A check-up (physical, but no X-Rays or bloodwork) - Acupuncture - Some herbal meds to take home The accounting was somewhat scrappy, due to a technical issue with the accounting hardware. We couldn't pay at the time due to their machine being broken. Unfortunately, the same night, our cat was still not eating and began to look worse. We raced her to our vet, who in seconds, looked at the color of our cat's ears and urged us to go to an emergency pet hospital immediately (no X-Rays or bloodwork were taken, but he suspected a major issue, potentially a cancer). Suffice to say, we took her to the emergency vet hospital, had an ultra sound on Dr's orders and a cancer was found. Within two days following this, my cat died of cancer from a tumor in her bile duct during emergency surgery. Her odds of survival were 30% Retroactively, we found out that she couldn't poop, and therefore would not eat, which was the cause of her deficiencies at the time. It was too late to save her and we spent $8000 at a pet hospital trying to save her, as the tumor was too far along to be reversed and could only be excised. I was severely disappointed that this was not detected by Dr Audra, and considering the cost of services, I'd expect a more thorough check, using more traditional medical equipment to find such issues. Our more traditional vet who discovered the issue without hardware, was cheaper and faster in finding the problem. In Dr Audra's favor, her demeanor was nice and was able to relieve my cat of pain with acupuncture. But that really is the only positive I have to say. If you want to give your pet acupuncture, and you gave your pet a full check-up at another vet with X-Rays, Ultrasounds and so on, then what Dr Audra may be able to help with is acupuncture to ease your pet, if you don't mind the expensive price (I believe the acupuncture alone was $300 - $400). However, for the price, I would not be able to sustain regular treatments / acupuncture especially considering that it's more highly priced than human acupuncture (most reasonable and effective acupuncturists charging people in the $100). So to sum up: 1 - I DO NOT RECOGNIZE DR AUDRA AS A VET and would urge you to beware. 2 - Her acupuncture was effective to ease my cat of discomfort briefly, but severely over-priced, beyond human costs. 3 - If you value preventative medicine, a place close by called "PetStaurant" is far superior, cheaper and the man running it is far more practically knowledgable. His information has already visibly improved the comfort, health and well-being of my pets in days. 4 - If you want a real vet, make the drive to Pomona's VHC and ask for "Dr Beltran". He is affordable, brilliant, kind and himself is a father of cats living into their 20s. Sorry if this seems scathing, but I cannot in good conscience hold this information to myself, if it means saving someone else's pet and their families from being charged a lot of money for poor veterinary service. read more

Buyer Beware If you want to try and heal your pet holistically you will need a lot of money. Though I have Pet insurance, they do not cover many of the herbs or treatments that Dr. MacCorkle will perform. In 3 months I have spent over $5000 to treat one dog with Prostate Cancer and one dog with Hip Displaysia. The dog with cancer after all of his treatments (mostly once a week) did not have his tumor shrink. He had an ultrasound in June by his regular vet and he had another Ultrasound by Dr. MacCorkle's people in Culver City. Her people said that if I didn't start chemo, he will not live much longer due to the tumor growing. I will now be paying another $5000 to treat with chemo, doubling all of my costs. The dog with hip problems also showed little improvement after all treatments and her back legs are as weak as ever. I wanted so badly to believe that this would work but I think that if this is the way you choose to go then you need to take your dogs 3 times a week for it to be truly effective. I do not have that kind of money. Also know that there acct procedures are not timely. You will receive bills late, you will be charged on your credit card at different times and you will have to keep track of everything. It has taken months to get them to turn the Insurance forms in. The staff is nice. Dr MacCorkle is nice. The offices are not your traditional vet offices. (Do not get treated in the Physical therapy room, it is dirty and I found 2 needles on the floor). The Dr's language is also different from a regular vet so ASK a lot of questions so you know what they are doing and treating your animal for. I truly hoped that she would be the answer. I was so convinced that this was the right way that I did anything she said thinking somehow that the herbs and acupuncture would work. For us it did not. And in the end it was all about quibbling over the amounts she charged me for (we spent over a half hour going receipt by receipt) and finding the mistakes in their accounting. And when it comes to getting every cent she charged, the niceness faded away and my husband who was wary from the beginning was right in the first place. read more

Dr. Audra saved my dog' life. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Audra and her entire staff. I was not even a client but had a severe car accident outside of her clinic. The accident was so bad, my little dog died in my lap. She lay there with her eyes blank and she was not breathing. The scene after was a very crazy but someone grabbed my little harlow out of my arms and I saw her laying on the ground dead. Some negligent idiots were holding me back from her as she lay dead on the street. Dr. Audra heard my cries and came running out. Before I knew it she had taken harlow in, giving her CPR in transport. given her some shots to start her heart again, and also used acupuncture and natural healing methods. When I was brought in I saw my little dog. Dr. Audra was leaning over her, remaining calm. She asked me to come hold her. She had saved her life! When Harlow was stable enough her staff rushed me to the nearest emergency vet. Her entire staff was so comforting and wonderful. I am forever indebted to them for saving the love of my life's life. They have the touch, alright -- that of a hand grabbing money out of pet owners' vulnerable and mournful fists! My 78-year-old mother brought her beloved and aging white German Shepherd into the clinic hoping to find a solution. Instead, she found a problem -- people posing as professionals telling her about all that she could do of her dog...and how much it would all cost. All in, she got out of there at about $500....the clinic visit, acupuncture and then ALL the herbs they prescribed her the dog...which did nothing but give her diarrhea! My mom was $500 poorer for this visit, and spent the remaining week cleaning up after her dog. Beware of these scam artists -- they prey on older clientele - anyone with a wallet and a heart for their pet. read more

This is probably one of the worst experiences we have had with a vet in thirty years of owning pets - SURREAL! Our experience reflects exactly what others here have said. So wish we had read the comments first. My wife and I, with our dog spent two hours there for a consult, looking for recommendations on a treatment plan. Days later we have yet to receive anything, have never spoken to the doctor and documented mistake after mistake. A poor assistant was taxed with calling us to approve an estimate which included a $370 blood test (even though our pup recently had bloodwork done elsewhere) and medication for dog's liver issues. What liver issues??? The dog wasn't there for anything to do with it's liver and has no history with liver issues. He was unable to answer any of the basic questions. The estimate also included $159 charge for acupuncture which I had originally been told was included in the first visit. The young man insisted I was wrong so I skipped it since it was overpriced compared to other holistic vets. Turns out it was included. When I picked up my dog a woman came out for the credit card. No statement, invoice, nothing. She looked frustrated when I asked for one BEFORE paying and boy am I glad I did. I was charged for things I did not approve (and had not been done) in addition to a "typo" (in their favor) on the consult fee. Someone else came out to ask if I had any questions and I said I did. They asked me "what?". I explained I wanted to know what the doctor found, what was his diagnosis, treatment plan, etc... They said he would be right out. Waited and waited. Finally someone said he was busy and wouldn't be coming out. No one ever followed up with a call, nothing. To date I have no idea what happened during that visit or if there even was a doctor there that day. What a waste of money and time! Most importantly, our dog is still sick and that has no price. My dog suffered a neck injury (possible herniated disc) and I had taken her twice to City of Angels (supposedly the best in the city) and our regular vet. Both of these places treated her solely with medications and her condition continued to worsen to over the course of a week, from just yelping to the point of screaming in pain more and more frequently. It was terrible to watch. Upon the recommendation of two people we went to Dr. MacCorkle and my 3 yr old dog found relief quickly. Dr. Audra does a great job of combining Eastern and Western medicine. She switched around her Western medications better than at City of Angels and added in Chinese herbs and acupunture and laser therapy. I am grateful we did not have to resort to surgery and she was so accessible and hands-on during her most severe periods. It's true that this type of care is more expensive because so more individualized time is being spent on your dog, but you are able to afford the care I could not recommend her more highly for orthopedic issues. And our care was certainly still thousands of dollars less than surgery would have been, while saving putting my dog through that trauma. We've also used Kim Haban, the dental tech that works out of Dr. Audra's office for non-anesthesia dental cleanings and she is fabulous. read more

This is the scariest and most incompetent group of people I have ever taken my dog to for treatment. I only went there once and it was horrifying! They gave me blood test results for a dog that wasn't mine, lied about it, and referred me to a specialist for a disease my dog didn't have. There were used hypodermic needles and used acupuncture needles in open containers on low shelves in every treatment room that a dog could easily knock over, and unused needles in open trays on low shelves that any dog could easily grab in its mouth. I felt my dog was in danger the entire time we were there! read more

Dr Audra is one of the best most intuitive Drs I know. she does not do unnecessary tests and really cares about the animals. The whole staff there is friendly, caring, and helpful. Dr Audra can find a lot of things I have found that other doctors can not find and can help the animals with out hurting them with steroids or intense drugs. She will use them if necessary but usually it isn't needed. The natural way she approaches things usually always fix things before the western medicine is needed. All the products she sells are looked into extensively before she sells them to other customers or uses them with the animals. Not to mention animals get EXCITED to come here and they LOVE Dr Audra!! read more
