My dog had a really bad ear infection and a hot spot, and Dr. Oh was amazing. He took her in right away, gave her steroid injections, shaved the area, and had us out the door in about 20 minutes. Super efficient and gentle with my pup the whole time. I had called around to check prices before coming here, and his rates were very fair compared to other vets. You can tell he really knows what he's doing and doesn't waste time upselling unnecessary treatments. Fast, knowledgeable, and caring service so glad we found this place! She healed with 1 week & a half

Me: Hey Roscoe, how did you like Dr. Oh? Roscoe: Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof...that's 5 stars in shih tzu language:) After 12 years of taking my baby to an overpriced veterinarian in North Hollywood, I finally made the decision to find a new one. My friend had mentioned this clinic so I read the reviews and made an appointment. The entire front staff: Lily, Ashley & Espy, will check you in when you arrive & out when you leave. Danny the vet technician, is there to assist Dr Oh with tests, shots and meds. And now for Dr. Oh...doggie drum roll please...he is very friendly, on point about your pet and doesn't waste your time. He does what is needed and necessary at the time. No upselling here!!!! I was given a sheet with a breakdown of Roscoe's needs with a price for each. It was up to me to say yay or nay. Once I agreed upon the services, Danny took Roscoe for his blood panel and allergy shot. While we waited for Roscoe (which wasn't long), Lily helped me with my bill and the meds were all ready to go. No wait time like our previous vet. *Located on the North West corner of Van Nuys Blvd & Sherman Way in pod mall with Dunkin Donuts and Jersey Mikes. *It's very clean & smells pleasant inside. There are a few benches to sit on while you wait for your pet to be called in. *Plenty of parking in the lot

We had a sad errand to perform - our sweet 21 year old kitty needed to be put down finally. Doctor Oh and the entire staff were nothing but kind, informative and understanding about our great distress at having to say goodbye to our beloved Mr. Peeps. The procedure itself was completely painless and over quickly. We are forever grateful to Doctor Oh and staff for making a very sad experience go gently for all concerned.

I was referred to this vet clinic in late 2024 by a coworker. I had my poodle/Maltese Roxy for 14 years at the time and I was always scared to take her to the vet since she was older but I knew it was needed. When I took her in February 2025 , I was amazed by the service and was informed about Roxy being in great shape for her age! In Nov 2025 I took her back after she had some serious discharge and unfortunately Roxy was getting weak. The staff and vet here were very respectful and patient for the time I was there. I had Roxy put to sleep to end her pain and I wanted to thank this clinic for their service for the time Roxy was here I received her ashes in a beautiful urn with a certificate along with a paw print that I'm so thankful for , she lived beautiful 15 years

I came here today to get blood work done and check out a cyst on my dog's tail . They recommended surgery which I will likely do based on the reasonable prices at this vet and the very detailed explanation of what is involved - thank you !

Dr. oh is outstanding and a rare doctor that truly cares about our animals more than just making money. He has a great energy, and helped my pup who came down with acute hepatitis. He knew exactly how to treat him, within 5 hours when I returned to pick him up he had improved so much from their care and the right meds. It is hard to find good doctors, but Dr Oh is one of the best. It is very busy there, but that is because he is so amazing and the word has gotten around! I highly recommend this vet and his caring staff. Love, Brando and Jonny the minpins.

Each time I tried looking for a new place, I would come across disturbing reviews about just about every veterinary clinic. I was stuck. This time, when I did my round of searches, I found Green Dog. I had nothing to lose and scheduled a wellness appointment for my Ridgeback. From start to finish, I was blown away. This was a true 5-star experience. We checked in with the friendliest staff and were immediately taken to our own private waiting room! I didn't have to sweat and strain to keep my 100+ lb boy from trying to sniff and annoy other dogs or try to run for the door. At this point, I would have been fine waiting longer than expected like is the norm at other places. But I didn't have to. Like a well-oiled machine, the appointment moves with a vet tech and usual questions about your pet's health and concerns. Another surprising thing: I was asked if I wanted any written prescriptions to go so I could shop around. I have never had this offered at a vet clinic; I have always had to ask for this - and then wait, and wait, and WAIT until I received it. My baby saw Dr. Candice Habawel. She came out with him after his exam and we talked (with zero rush) about all the things I could do to help his teeth, skin, weight. She was kind and attentive. When I left to pay, I noticed that there was an employee whose job it was to just keep the place sanitized and clean. I also really appreciated that. After this experience, I don't think I can go anywhere else. My eyes have been opened to the knowledge that veterinary visits don't have to be a horrible experience. My only concern is that I hope they don't get so busy that any part of their service changes.

I wanted to help her and do what was right, but this place completely shattered my trust. From the moment we arrived, she was weak and moving slowly. Instead of being honest and telling us that the kindest, most humane option would be to let her go peacefully, they insisted on doing a long list of tests -- over $700 worth -- knowing full well she was on her last breath. The next day, the doctor called with the results and said she was very sick and recovery chances were extremely slim. Then came the question: Did I want them to put her to sleep? I told them I wanted to be there with her, and I also made it clear that I was very unhappy with how the situation had been handled. The receptionist quoted me $300 for euthanasia, and I reluctantly agreed, even though I already felt taken advantage of. When I arrived, I expressed again how wrong this felt -- that they had used our love and emotions to squeeze out every dollar they could before admitting the truth. They guided me to a small room and told me to wait so I could be there with her. After several minutes, the doctor came in with a sad look and told me... she had already died. No one called. No one checked in sooner. No one seemed to care. Yes, they refunded the euthanasia fee -- but that doesn't undo what they did. My wife and I left heartbroken -- not just from losing a sweet soul who trusted us, but from realizing how cold and unethical this place truly is. They took advantage of compassion, made money off a dying animal, and then delivered the news like it was nothing. I will never take another animal here. They showed no honesty, no empathy, and no integrity.

Following that comment, her demeanor changed noticeably. She appeared visibly irritated and began handling items abruptly and slamming equipment, which created an uncomfortable environment during the appointment. As a result of this interaction, I chose not to proceed with the full rounds of vaccinations and treatments we had planned and completed only the examinations. I had fully intended to continue all care with your clinic. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will no longer be returning after more than 20 years as a client. We had a very disappointing experience at Pet Orphans of Southern California. We adopted a dog…read morethrough spcaLA and were referred there for his neuter procedure, which was required as part of the adoption agreement. The issues began at drop-off. I arrived on time at 8:30 a.m., but there was a long line of owners and dogs waiting outside. Many of the dogs appeared to be puppies, fosters, or newly adopted pets still adjusting and difficult to manage. I waited approximately 20 minutes while trying to control my 65-pound dog. When I reached the front, staff said they had no record of our appointment and asked, in an unprofessional manner, whether I had completed the intake form that was supposedly emailed to me. I had never received it. I was then handed paperwork to complete on-site while continuing to manage my dog in a crowded environment. On the form, I disclosed that my dog had been experiencing chronic diarrhea since being picked up as a stray, that we were actively working with our veterinarian to identify the cause, and that our veterinarian had cleared him for surgery. Staff then told me they would not proceed if he had diarrhea. I explained that this condition predated the adoption, that the neuter was required by the shelter, and that we had already obtained veterinary clearance. Staff repeatedly went back and forth between me and the veterinarian before eventually presenting a high-risk consent form. The communication around this was especially concerning. When the form was presented, I was told that by signing it, I was accepting that if anything happened to my dog, it would be my fault. I understand that additional risks can exist, but this was handled in a dismissive and inappropriate manner. If the clinic had sent the intake paperwork in advance or reviewed the medical concerns beforehand, this could have been addressed prior to my driving an hour from West Adams to Van Nuys with a dog who does not travel well. I was also disappointed that additional charges were presented for items such as an e-collar, pain medication, and IV fluids. For a required adoption procedure, these added costs felt excessive. Pick-up was similarly poor. When my dog was returned, a staff member commented, "Make sure to take care of the diarrhea because he still has it," despite our earlier detailed discussion of the condition and treatment plan. While loading him into the car, I noticed feces on his cone, tail, and legs. This suggested he had soiled himself and had not been adequately cleaned before discharge, which was both upsetting and concerning from a sanitation and post-operative care standpoint. Overall, this experience reflected poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inadequate attention to patient care. I would not return to Pet Orphans of Southern California and would not recommend this clinic to others. I also plan to share this experience with spcaLA so they are aware of the concerns regarding this referral partnership.

Dr.Richard Kim was also so amazing and made my cat feel safe as well which was a huge plus because it was her first real serious vet visit. Dr. Kim advised to come back if my cat continued vomiting since it was already day 2 of not being able to hold anything down. unfortunately i had to go back because my cat did not get better (in fact, she got worse) this time around i got stuck with vet assistant Andrea and Dr. Emmanuel Pimentel. my experience with them was honestly 0/10 they made me feel like an idiot for going back when not only was i advised to do so but obviously my cat was getting worse she had a fever this time, still vomiting (this all started because she ate hair ties but threw some up), wasn't using the restroom and when i expressed that concern to Pimentel he said "ok so what's the issue" hello ??? i just explained what was going on she could've had a blockage happening and explained i was told to come back if worsening symptoms i definitely didn't come back to waste money for fun. Andrea seemed like she didn't want to be there and didn't seem knowledgeable and gave half assed answers whenever i asked any questions. my mom was with me and asked Andrea questions as well and while yes maybe they were certain things she couldn't answer, she was just super condescending about it and even asked my mom if she was a doctor (she's not) mind you all my mom asked was if animals get MRIs with or without contrast like the way humans do lol. gross experience with them it honestly made me so upset they had zero compassion and almost made me never want to come back here again. going to make sure i never get helped by them by calling ahead of time to make sure i don't see them. my recent experience yesterday was vet assistant Karen and Dr. Pamintuan THEY RESTORE MY FAITH IN THIS PLACE! both super sweet and knowledgeable. Dr. Pamintuan went into great detail/tips on how to handle testing, vaccinating, and feeding the stray kitty i brought in. since i have a cat at home (the one that was ill last month) he let me know about the risks of bringing home the stray cat and how to keep them apart for a few days/weeks until stray kitty was clear of worms/parasites. super insightful since i didn't know too much about all that. i'm super happy with the service i received from Dr. Kim and Dr. Pamintuan. they made me want to keep coming here.

Throughout the wk, new meds and food were introduced so not sure if that had an effect on him. I brought him saturday morning and the staff? Kind. The techs? Sweet. The doctor? Richard Kim? Terrible. He comes in and says "he probably has pancreatitis and will need this and that" then leaves. Tech comes in and hands me the estimate. Mind you, I asked him when he came in, what could have caused this? Could it have been the sudden meds? The food? He completely ignored me. We proceed with blood work and then he comes in and says "told you it was pancreatitis" and shows me his results. And I was like "where does it show this like what levels are high? How did this happen" doesn't say anything and proceeds to say "he will need to be hospitalized for 2-3 days and its super expensive, let us know" and leaves again. The tech comes in and says "here is the outpatient estimate" and im like huh? And she says, "he said you guys declined".. um we never declined? So then she goes out and gets me an estimate for a hospital stay. I asked the tech if I can request a different doctor because clearly, he was not answering any questions I had and she had said she wasn't sure but could ask. We proceed to approve it and we pay and we leave. As I'm driving home, they call me telling me to go back because they need to sedate him because he doesn't let himself. I drive back, pick him up, and just leave because he is a 20 year old cat, I am not sedating him. It sucks how I had a previous visit with him with my other cat and he actually answered my questions and what not. This time, it was super terrible. If you do go to this clinic, please try avoiding this doctor. I have not had any other visits with different doctors at this clinic but hopefully they are way better than Dr. Kim. I ended up taking my cat to VEG-ER in santa clarita where he was hospitalized. Truly 10/10 experience, if anyone is looking to take their pet during an emergency.

After my experience on March 14th, I will never set foot in this building again. I called to make the agonizing, gut-wrenching decision to say a final goodbye to my dog. After being put on hold and then hung up on, I finally reached a staff member who was the definition of a heartless robot. While I was in the middle of a life-shattering crisis, this man treated me with a "car dealer" coldness that was frankly disgusting. He actually had the audacity to tell me I "picked a horrible day" to come in because they were "so busy on Saturdays." Let me be very clear: Nobody "picks" the day their beloved pet dies. It is a tragedy, not an "inconvenience" for your weekend schedule. To be talked to like a nuisance during my most vulnerable moment is a shameful failure of basic human decency. The fact that he only attempted to flip a switch and be "kind" once he realized I was a regular patient is even more insulting. Compassion shouldn't be a tiered service based on your database--it should be a requirement for the job. If you work in a veterinary office and can't summon a shred of empathy for a grieving owner, you are in the wrong profession. You do not get to be a rude, inconsiderate robot when people are saying goodbye. I found an amazing, truly compassionate vet elsewhere who handled this difficult time with the grace my dog deserved. I am moving all of my other pets to that practice and will never look back. If you are looking for an ounce of empathy during a crisis, stay far away from this place.
